The Best Lebanese Restaurants In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"No one does dips like Faraon. The Doral restaurant whips up Miami’s best versions of baba ganoush, muhammara, labneh, and hummus. It’s a Lebanese dip Mount Rushmore that comes with both soft and toasted pita for texture variation. To get the most out of this place, order a platter and come with a group. The restaurant has colorful pandal drapes hanging from the ceiling, but it’s casual enough to show up in Havaianas for lunch. They cater, too, in case you want to have those dips for your cousin’s third baby shower." - mariana trabanino, virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer

Faraon Restaurant - Review - Doral - Miami - The Infatuation

"No one does dips like Faraon. The Doral restaurant whips up outstanding versions of baba ganoush, muhammara, labneh, and hummus. It’s a Lebanese dip Mount Rushmore that comes with both soft and toasted pita for texture variation. They also make crisp falafel with a moist, fluffy interior. It barely needs the side of tahini it comes with. To get the most out of this place, order from a platter and come with a group. The restaurant has colorful pandal drapes hanging from the ceiling, but it’s casual enough to show up in Havaianas for lunch. They cater, too, in case you want to have those dips for your cousin’s third baby shower. video credit: Mariana Trabanino Food Rundown Dip Mix Platter This is the Mount Rushmore of dips we were talking about. It comes with muhammara, baba ganoush, hummus, and labneh—all excellent. Along with the crispy pita you see here, it also comes with an additional side of soft pita, which is considerate to those of us who prefer our pitas untoasted. PlayMute video credit: Mariana Trabanino Falafel Pair the dips with this falafel. They arrive at the table so steamy, it’s like they were pulled out of the fryer mere seconds ago. The side of tahini is a nice touch. PlayMute video credit: Mariana Trabanino Kafta Kabab Wrap You get a subtle hint of sweetness from the cinnamon in the kafta. The meat is juicy and tender—and if you don’t finish it because you scarfed down too much hummus, it travels well for a snack later. PlayMute video credit: Mariana Trabanino Katayef Katayef are fried pancake dumplings stuffed with a sweet cream. They have a spongy texture and pair wonderfully with the scoop of vanilla ice cream they give you here. PlayMute video credit: Mariana Trabanino" - Mariana Trabanino

If you're looking for a truly delicious and authentic taste of Lebanon and the Mediterranean right here in Miami, look no further than Faraon Restaurant! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly faces. But the real star of the show is the food. Every dish I've tried has been bursting with fresh flavors. Their shawarma is some of the best I've had – perfectly seasoned and tender. And for my vegan friends, you absolutely must try their vegan bowl and kibbeh; they are simply outstanding! The portions are generous, the prices are more than reasonable, and the service is consistently excellent. You can tell that the people at Faraon genuinely care about the food they serve and the experience they provide. Faraon Restaurant is a gem in Miami. Whether you're a long-time fan of Lebanese cuisine or looking to try something new and incredibly satisfying, I wholeheartedly recommend giving them a visit. You won't be disappointed!

Google
Absolutely the best mediterranean cuisine i’ve ever had in the us. The knaffeh was amazing, and the platter with all the different items was all 10/10. I wish they were closer to me i’d be there every week.

Google
The most authentic-tasting Lebanese cuisine, and I would say it’s the best in the Doral area…a gem hidden in the a shopping plaza. We dined with our three boys; We had appetizers (hummus and cabbage rolls). They were amazing! For dinner we ordered the Faraon King Mix: it includes three meats and two large sides. Absolutely delicious. My husband ordered Kibbe Nayeh, which was presented beautifully. Nora, our server, was wonderful throughout our entire experience. The service was quick - we didn’t have to wait a long time for our food. The tables were cleaned quickly to make room for dessert! Yes. You have to make room for dessert and coffee. Yummy! The Faraon restaurant is a hidden gem for Lebanese cuisine. It will be my go-to whenever I want authentic, hearty, warm middle-eastern food. Very family friendly!

Brilliant food. Home made, flavoursome and simply delicious. Nora was a great host and catered to our needs and preferences. Highly recommend the kafta and the falafel

Yelp
Their Arabic Lemonade was delicious and the Faraon King plate was perfect to share. We'll be coming back!

Yelp
Food was super authentic and delicious. I order the shawarma and a bunch of dips to share in the middle. The ambience was not giving Lebanese so I was worried about the authenticity but they proved me wrong.

Yelp
What a truly awesome restaurant. Mediterranean is among my favorite foods and I have found some wonderful places, but only one could be my favorite. I have noticed this one on Yelp, but because it is not near my home, I have not taken the opportunity to visit. However, tonight, I was going to be in the area and took the plunge and am I so happy that I did. Talk about a beautiful restaurant that is both welcoming and consistent with the theme of its food and add to that excellent service and the best kebabs and falafel. I have tasted since moving to Florida and you have a real winner here. The Baba Ganesh hummus and other dips are just wonderful. The pita is fresh. I really cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed my meal here. So much so that despite the distance, I will certainly be returning. As a sidenote, I was hesitant when I saw the plaza that the restaurant was in, but think oasis in the desert. Once you walk in your in a world of wonderful food and service.

Yelp
The outside is quite unassuming but the inside transports you with a Mediterranean vibe. Promptly greeted by Nora who would be our server, she made great recommendations, to which we started with the Arabic lemonades and decided on ordering a Kibbe platter and a 2 skewer platter to share. Both dishes came with 2 sides which were homemade deliciousness. We were later told the owner of the restaurant is the actual chef to ensure the food is authentic. For dessert we had baklava and a hot cheese dish I don't recall the name of and coffee. Everything was fingerlicking spectacular! Will def be coming back for more!

Sam B.

Yelp
The food is great and atmosphere is relaxing with a middle eastern vibe. More of a cozy vibe and feel to it. The Knefeh (desert) is the cheesy variety with soft top but was not soggy. Was pretty good. Price is about as expected for entree's (22-33 bucks for an entree plate) but over priced for desert and tea which is a huge part of any middle eastern restaurant's culture. Service was also good. Not overly attentive but there if you need something. Definitely would come back! I have edited this since coming back, the food is still good, but I do have some complaints. They started adding the 18% service charge like many places do in Miami, which pisses me off forcing the customer to pay for the companies employees (hence the company has free employees) due to the department of labor tip credit that should be abolished. Employers should have to pay for their own employees so that a tip is actually a tip and not their hourly wage. Should be my choice regardless. A tea is also 3.50 or 4 dollars for every tea. Every middle eastern restaurant I've been to does not charge you for every tea bag lol. And all of them have a tea pot option if you want more tea. Disappointed in the price gouging for tea and desert.

Yelp
The food was so good and flavorful! I will say I do feel the price was steep. The restaurant was empty. We were the only one there for the entire time it took us to eat from stepping to to stepping out. Employees really only spoke Spanish. The dip try was my favorite part but I wish they gave more to dip in it bc there was so much left over sauce. The garlic sauce that came with the main was soooo good we had to ask for more!!

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised at the Lebanese food. It was just like homemade! We had the fillet skewers and the rice along with the baba ghanoush. The fillet meat was perfectly cooked and it was so tender and melted in your mouth. We also shared the Faraon appetizer Plate that brought a little bit of everything. The hummus falafel, Kibby grape leaves and stuffed cabbage. I can't tell you which one I like more. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back with great service. I highly recommend this location and we will be back.

Yelp
Was craving some Middle Eastern food and decided to give this place a try, thanks to Yelp. Very nicely decorated although I thought the music was a little too loud. I thought the food was excellent. Everything tasted very authentic and freshly made. I do think Faraon is expensive for the portions you get. They definitely must measure everything. Ordered the following : -Faraon Vegetarian - absolutely amazing, all the dips were great! I did not think the hummus was grainy as others mentioned. Only issue was the falafel was overcooked and for $25 they really should give you increase the portions. -Lamb sandwich/wrap- seasoned well, moist not dry, but again for $17 they could add another couple ounces more of protein so I taste less of the wrap. -Baklava - super good, very light probably one of the best I've had. -Arabic coffee - glad I tried but I'll pass next time -Knafeh - rich but very good, although not with the $12.00 price tag -White wine - 1 glass $106 with 18% tip included, wasn't expecting to pay that much for a lunch. Service was good, orders were taken rather timely. It did take a little long to get our bill. A few issue I have with Faraon 1) not pleased that an 18% gratuity was automatically included in my bill. I'm usually a 20% but it bothers me when an establishment just tags on that additional charge. I also did not see that disclaimer on the menu but maybe I missed it. 2) when our order was taken for the lamb wrap I was lead to believe that I could substitute the fries for a tabbouli salad. When I got the bill I noticed they charged me $5.99 for a small salad. I mentioned this to the waiter who just basically said that's how it is. I did not pursue it because overall the food was good and overall I enjoyed the meal. However, with the prices they're charging they should have just included the tabbouli salad. Regardless, I do recommend Faraon just keep in mind what I mentioned. I did recommend Faraon to a Lebanese friend of mine so I'm curious what his opinion will be.

Yelp
This is one of those hole in the wall places that will just blow your expectations out of the water. It's in a tiny strip mall but the inside is very cute and themed. Food was very delicious. The food was spiced perfectly. Great balance of salt and umami. Meat was tender and perfectly charred. And this meat is actually GRILLED not just placed on a griddle. The garlic cream was also absolutely divine. Service people here were also super nice. When I visit Miami again, I will definitely be back!!!

Karen B.

Yelp
The food and service are excellent. I had the soup and falafel plate which were just right and the lemonade was perfect and delicately refreshing. A must try.

Yelp
Seriously?! You were sitting next to my table and said nothing! So please just make your place just clean and safe for your pride! You sow everything what happened in my table! And it's not acceptable at all!!!!

Yelp
Faraon is a Lebanese restaurant located in a strip mall area. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but is nice and clean on the inside. We came Sunday late afternoon after reading some nice reviews and we were promptly and warmly received went we arrived. We ordered the large portions of the hummus, tabbouleh salad, fried kibbeh, grape leaves, falafel and malfouf. The food was very fresh and delicious. The fried kibbeh was really the best of the dishes we ordered. Super tasty! But the highlight of the whole meal was the dessert! The baklava is to die for!!!! Delicious! One of the best I ever had!! Customer service was also very attentive and kind! Akram was really nice and he did a great job! Definitely will come back again!

Yelp
I ate very well on my trip to Miami. Honestly, people of the 305, if it wasn't so damn hot and humid, I'd totally be down to stay there. But this little place really took me for a whirl! I thought I was just getting a quick easy middle eastern meal on the way to the airport, but I ended up with a finely craft and very delicious lunch! Faraon is small, and situated in a strip mall area that you could easily miss it in. However, I highly suggest you find it. I have a favorite place back home for Middle Eastern cuisine, and this is the only place I've ever eaten that has rivaled them on flavor and freshness. I got the lunch special, which is essentially a mixed bowl that gives you a little of this a little of that. You pick a protein, it comes with a rice base, and then several accoutrements like hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouleh, etc. It was exactly what I was looking for! Almost like a little sampler platter of everything they do there in a perfect size portion. Flavors were beyond on point, they were spotless. I also listened in delight as I heard my waitress bounce back and forth between Arabic, Spanish, and English depending on who she was helping. Very impressive! We don't see much of that in North Carolina. I love the cultures at play in Miami. The only, super mild, complaint I have is that I kind of blindly ordered the rosemary lemonade and it turned out to be more than six bucks. It was a delicious drink, but at that level of price, you'd expect some alcohol in there or something. Still, my fault for not asking, at least it tasted great! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to visitors and citizen alike!

Ofelia D.

Yelp
EXTREMETLY DELICIOUS! I loved the food everything, I ate Family grill, meet great taste and quality. Service profesional and smooth.Food is fresh and have and feels like home cooking.I will be back.

Yelp
Faraon is one of the best authentic middle eastern cuisine restaurants around the area. The concept is great, meaning by this that once you enter the place the atmosphere carries you to another place. Music is conducive and clientele is as real as possible, some of them although from latin origin (Venezuela in this case), they also speak the native language between themselves. Once I entered the place, I asked for a red wine and a lebanon wine was brought to me. It was a new experience that was for sure interesting to the palate (house wine). After that, I followed the savvy recommendation from, who was always very attentive and suggested the mix of two (chicken and beef pinchos) and was definitively a bullseye score. The flavor, taste and tenderness of the meats with the freshness of the taboule salad and the arabic rice was totally on point. Do not hesitate to come when you see the location. As you may know by now, in Miami the places with truly authentic and flavourful food are most of the time found in the not-flashy-at-all strip mall plazas, and Faraón is not the excepto this rule. Enjoy!

Yelp
Hummus--excellent, perfect flavor balance * * * * * Baba Ganoush--pretty good, could have been charred more, no smokey notes * * * * Falafel--just ok * * * Stuffed Grape Leaves--very good * * * * Yebrak Malfouf--love that they have this * * * * Tabouleh--too dry * * * Kibbeh--amazing, moist, fresh, flavorful! * * * * * Pita--thin, dry, Publix-grade * * Extra Filet Mignon skewer--kind of expensive, 5 little-more-than bite-size pieces for $13? see photo All in all, way better than average. a bit more expensive than casual take-out kind of places but the quality is also much much better and you can see that they went to the effort to create a very pleasant dining room compared to many middle eastern places. The people working here are quite nice too. Recommend!

Yelp
SO GOOD! We were looking for something with veggie options near our hotel so walked on over here. Quickly got a table and were served. The baba ganoush was incredible as was the falafel wrap and the fries! My friend also tried the shawarma which was also really good! Really good ambiance as well! I loved the decor and the music and the place settings! Will absolutely come back next time I'm in Miami!
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
I was in the area and used my Yelp app, to see what appealed to me food wise. This led me to Faraon. I sampled their lunch special - which consisted of a protein, (I chose chicken), some rice with almond slivers, and 4 mini sides. The food was pleasant. However, I hated the fact despite sitting in I was given a paper plate. I want to eat off a proper plate if I am dining in, rather than feeling like I was doing takeout. Not to mention such a waste of resources, I am a fan of protecting the planet rather than harboring more and more trash/rubbish being dumped in land mines. The decor was pleasant.
google avatar

Arnaldo Z.

Yelp
To me what differentiates a 3 star from 4 /5 star restaurant is wether or not I'd go back. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great and for what they deliver it was a bit overpriced. The service never once checked on me for more water and left me waiting 15 minutes for my check. The place is small and was empty. 18 percent tip included , while I normally lean towards 20 this practice is irritating whe you get bad service. Overall nothing to come back for, I'd go to a handful of other similar restaurants before returning here.
google avatar

Angel L.

Yelp

Yelp
Best Middle Eastern food and best falafel I had in Miami hands down! I absolutely recommend their vegan bowl it has rice, falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, and Muhammara. Vegetarian platter is pretty similar but different display and great for sharing. Their mint lemonade drink is amazing. Food is prepared fresh. Service is friendly. Overall I had a great experience and I'm surely coming back.

Yelp
WHAT A HIDDEN GEM! Do not be led astray or dismiss this spot because it's inside a shopping plaza in a sort of industrial neighborhood. This is the absolute best place to get your Middle Eastern craving fix! This is probably me and my boyfriend's favorite cuisine and our go to when we can't coincide on what we're really craving. The food is just so fresh, so flavorful, so homey. Probably because it's all made by one delightful lady (we had the pleasure of meeting her on our last visit), she cooks it all - even the desserts! It's all family run so it adds an extra special touch I think. We always get the Vegetarian platter which comes with 4 dips, 3 falafel, and tabouli. You can taste every ingredient in every dip - wow! The shawarmas are also great with plenty of protein and then the perfect combo of veggies (tomatoes, onions, pickles). The rose water lemonade is a must try! Super refreshing and just enough sweetness. I think they rotate the desserts so if you go and happen to be in luck, order the baklava too! Crunchy, sweet, nutty. What more can I say?

Yelp
We were staying across the street from this plaza in the Hilton Garden inn airport west. Looking for something different, Mediterranean sounded good. What a great choice. The place was really cute, staff friendly and knowledgeable and the food ! Everything we ordered was so good.we were stuffed and very glad we decided to try Faraon! Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a treat !

Yelp
Went to Faraón for the first time this past weekend, this place exceeded my expectations. The food, sangria and ambiance were all great! The owners were extremely attentive and we had a wonderful time. The kibbeh I had was the best that I have had. I definitely recommend visiting the restaurant and/or ordering take out. On Saturday's (at night) they also have a great belly dancer show!
google avatar

Yelp
Ok stop everything you're doing and don't think twice about coming to Faraon. AUTHENTIC FOOD! The environment makes you feel like you're in the Middle East with belly dancers on Saturdays! The service is AMAZING and you'll fall in love with the owners! Now let's get to the real deal. How's the food? I'd rate this 10 stars if I could!!! The food is SO GOOD! Hands down recommend to take your tastebuds on an adventure through authentic Mediterranean cuisine! Don't hesitate and come straight here!!!

Annaliese F.

Yelp
My mom and I went here for dinner during our trip to Miami, and this restaurant is a MUST! The food was phenomenal, the restaurant was so cute and so clean, and the service was amazing! Yelp
Faraon was delicious! The food was fresh and tasty. I had the Falafel with Tabbouleh Salad and Hummus. Not a fancy meal by any means but these are my personal favorites and I have not enjoyed this since moving from New York City over 20 + years ago because I could not find any place that made it the way I liked. Not anymore, problem solved, as Faraon makes it and the taste takes me back home! The food is really fresh and delicious. The service was very pleasant. If I had to complain about anything it would be that most of the staff are Spanish speakers. Not too much of a big deal for me as Spanish is my second language but it can sometimes be a hassle, especially if you call in for anything. The first time I called I thought I called the wrong place. A middle eastern restaurant and they only speak spanish? OK? I was lucky enough to get a server who also spoke English so that was great. I can see how it could be problematic for non-spanish speakers though.

Yelp
Easy to miss, but what a great spot! The food and service were top notch. One of the best lemonades I have had. The falafel is delicious. Lentil soup was also good. Had the chicken tuvot and mixed shawarma were Nora was amazing with us.

Yelp
After many years in Miami trying Arabic food, Faraon is so far the best fine taste i have tried.. kibbe is really the best recipie and the kafta is amazing. They have a vegetarian kibbe that is mouth watering. Service is impecable.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing! The service was superb and the baklava is the best I have ever tasted. I will put this as a "must go back to" when we come into Miami from Tampa in the future.

Yelp
I visited Faraon today for the first time. I am Lebanese so I know if the food is authentic. I can say that the food tastes like my Mom had made it. The food was delicious, the flavors very authentic, the service and the ambiance were exceptional. On Saturday night they have a belly dancer who did an incredible job and who engaged the guests to the point where the whole restaurant was dancing with her. Highly recommend this place. Congrats to the owner.

Servio S.

Yelp

Yelp
Ohhhhhh what an experience! We had such a great time here at this restaurant for several reasons! First the location is not too bad .. we're not from the area.. we're from California. So - because of the weather it was pouuuuring rainy that day we took the Uber to the restaurant. We were greeted with " sit anywhere you like" and immediately we saw this cute ambiance seating area very typical middle eastern set up! Just LOVE it! And then we proceeded to order our drinks .. I ordered the rosemary mint lemonade what a refreshing drink! And the hubs ordered the typical yogurt beverage. He loved it! Then we proceeded to order our meal.. fabulous! Everything we ordered was just the way it should be! I asked the gentleman how do you make this drink? He knew we are deaf.. so he using gestures- " book- look- shhh" we laughed so hard! Knowing full well it's a secret he won't share! Love that! Then my hubs wanted more yogurt and he looked at me " should I get more" I was going to say - up to you! Whatever you wanna do dear! The same gentleman waiter saw that .. he bent his knees .. leaned closer to my hubs and gestures " I'll get you one shhhh don't tell her" we laughed I mean the whole time he was engaging .. and just making sure we were happy .. making sure the food is good .. it was just over the top one of the rarest times we felt like we have been here so many times!

Yelp
Faraon is a very good choice for a lunch when in the Doral area. Located just a few blocks of the Palmetto and 36th street east of the highway. This new Restaurant has a lot to offer. Great lunch specials under $12.00 The restaurant is nicely decorated and offers table service or a small bar area. Beer and wine Yes. I arrived at around 2pm and there were a few busy tables. Empty for the most part but the food was good. I ordered the lamb kebab and that comes with 2 sides... I chose the Baba ganoush and lentil rice (both excellent) my lamb kebab was good but it could have used a bit more seasoning. (But still good). Before you get your meal you receive complimentary chips and those are addictive. The waitresses Talina and Alexandra were both very nice and helpful, service was outstanding. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be back soon to try other things. PS: Since this is a new restaurant I wish them all the best.

Arturo A.

Yelp
Great place to dine at the food is great as well as the service. Gracias Nora por el servicio estuvo fenomenal.

Yelp
I didn't expect such a new and tasty spot in this old shopping center! It's small, but quite the gem. You can tell everything is new. But it was great. Food was SO tasty. It seems to have very traditional fare, so just ask questions if you aren't sure what something is. A little bit pricier than the average mediterranean/middle east joint (i.e. daily bread, etc.) but it was so fresh and tasty. Will definitely be coming back.

Eddy A.

Please do yourself a favor and go to Faraon restaurant, WOW! I am probably the biggest foodie and critic, EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! We ordered the Faraon King Mix and Faraon Family Grill. Pineapple juice was also very good. The restaurant owner also came out to greet us, very nice and sweet lady.

Yelp
Delicious, cleaned food. Ordered a veg platter. Arabic rice and knafeh. Every dip was flavorful. I wish they could bake fresh pita.

Yelp
This spot is a hidden gem in doral, the food is great I have been here a few times and have had their shawarmas and their bowl specials with chicken and beef, their humus and toasted bread is a must try. It is well decorated and the music makes it seem like if you stepped into a different part of the world. The servers are very helpful and attentive
