There is utterly no reason a take-out-only window has to go this hard.
This restaurant is based into their food truck but don't think it's a tiny spot for $12. The food is a great value for a family.
We ordered a half smoked chicken, a turkey leg, two four pieces on a stick, waffle fries and the Mac n cheese.
The turkey leg has a good seasoning to it, not overpowering, so you can use a dipping sauce which it comes with if you'd like. The large pieces of kosher salt on it is smart. Chef Jason really has something special there.
The fried chicken tenders on a stick are phenomenally good-state fair you'd buy easily good-makes Raising Cane's seem amateur, good. And that was the normal! I wanted the hot dry rub but I had to get it for family. I liked how I could dip in a more savory flavor and then switch to a sweet hot maple. Having three dipping sauces is a pro move.
The Mac and cheese tastes like real cheese. It has a good soft feel and I'll get them again.
The waffle fries aren't mega seasoned because you should dip them. Bingo.
I talked with Aidan about the place and they're working on getting a lease there. He had me try the Moe's Mix, a non-alcoholic drink special that feels like a German hot gluhwein during a Christmas market. It was great and nice to have while you're waiting for your food.
Absolutely 5 stars. The smoked birds are good and the fried chicken is stunningly good. I look forward to them joining the neighborhood and I will be back with friends.
