Fargo Theatre

As far as the Fargo Theater goes, its older and the seats tend to make an audience look crammed in like sardines. Similar to airplane seats. Although tonight Black Jacket Symphony played PINK FLOYD THE WALL. My all time favorite album EVER! It was amazing. FLOYD FANS from people in there 90s, bikers, old hippies and the newer generations all gathered for this experience. It was amazing!!

Cool place, great staff, not a bad seat in the whole place. I've been in the front row and I have been in the balcony and both have their benefits to see the stage from a clear yet different perspective. Love this venue.

Fargo theater was so awesome. I went and saw Wayne's World and had a great time. The host and organ player were great. The host did some trivia before starting the show and the building is just amazing inside. Definitely check it out if you're in Fargo. The outside is cool but the inside is even better.

The Fargo Theatre is the landmark for the FM area. As of this posting, it is nearing 100 years old and certainly feels retro. While this theatre is not some big multiplex theatre common throughout the country, it still is something worth seeing with its art deco interior design and theatre organ which is the only one between Minneapolis and Seattle. Upon entering, you will feel like you stepped back in time the 1930s and be greeted by friendly staff to hopefully see a great Indie film or classic rerun. However, don’t expect to see a major blockbuster there. Also, before entering, look at the facade because there will be carvings on the bricks walls.

Saw Superman. It looked and sounded great. Tickets and concessions reasonably priced. Lots of butter on the popcorn! Friendly, efficient staff, and comfortable seats and temperature. It feels like a special event to get to see a movie in this historic theater. I will be back. Recommend.

The rock Orchestra concert was amazing! Tickets sell out fast! Must see if you ever get a chance!

Whether attending movies or shows or when I work via Tickets 300-- the service may I say-- is 1000% above and beyond FANTASTIC! I as well DARE anyone to NOT FALL to the DELICIOUS aroma of "classic" popcorn offerings of such a classic venue-- trust me, every time I work I canNOT RESIST!! :P

While traveling through Fargo we decided to take in a movie at this historic theatre. The movie we wanted was in the smaller theater two. This theater is smaller but has some really great upgrades. The seats are super comfortable, with cup holders and a bit of a recline. The sound and picture were very good. if you are wondering if you want to wait for a movie to go to the bigger screening room the answer should be no. This one is perfect.

This venue never ceases to entertain. From large, sold out events to open mic nights & wannabe rappers or budding 21st century poets, The Fargo Theatre is the shining jewel on Broadway that is a must see whenever in Fargo. Parking can be challenging- expect to walk a few blocks if you arrive at a function late unless otherwise directed to an overflow area. Its just old school parking within this area of the city. Pricing varies per event, yet isn't too ridiculous. Nonetheless, this is one fun place!

We noticed a sign on the windows stating 5$ movies today. We went to dinner. We came back hoping to have a seat for this 5$ dollar movie. We are happy to see the movie theatre was empty. The movie playing was Rocket Man. My wife and I were happy to see a new movie in a historic theatre. When you walk in, the theatre is like a blast from the past. Only 2 theaters were in the movie theatre. The desks and walls were all old looking like from the 30s. When we walked in, the theatre looked as if we were back to the future in the 1950s and were waiting for like the pre movies to show world war 2. There were curtains, and old time appeal with the way the theatre was designed. The movie was great. Theatre was good. Seats weren't that comfortable, but that's to be expected as it was outfitted to be from back in the day. I'd come back.

Good concession prices and the best popcorn. $11 gets you 2 large sodas and a bucket of popcorn. I love seeing movies here as the experience just feels different. You have the main theatre that holds about 700 people, and the second screen that holds about 70. For comfort, the second screen is great. For the big art deco theatre experience and the much larger screen, the main theatre is good. The Fargo Theatre is generally unable to get the mainstream blockbusters but don't let that stop you from disregarding the theatre. The often independent and more intellectual films are usually very good. I've seen many, many movies here and always prefer this over the Marcus chains. I recommend going to their website and signing up for the weekly emails so you know what is coming. If you ever get a chance to see a concert here, do it. It is a great music venue. Very intimate. The theatre is a non-profit so support through attending movies or donating money is very important to its survival. I wish more people who live here would attend more films and provide more financial support. We all love the marquee and the concept of the theatre, but we can't take it for granted and assume it will be around forever without our support!

Giving the Fargo Theater a 1 star because the glass in the balcony had never been cleaned. The glass is just gross.

Personally, my favorite movie house I've ever been in. Sure, it doesn't have the most high-tech equipment and most comfy seats; but it's historic! Not many towns can boast that they have a functioning movie theater from over 75 ago! The art deco decor is a great feel to be a part of. It really feels like you've stepped back in time and are enjoying movies in a different era. They did revamp their equipment, so they're digital now too! The sound isn't the best, but hey, it's all about the experience; and The Fargo Theatre does it for me! Ticket prices are reasonable and there are nice combo deals at the concession stand. Plus, they've got the best popcorn in town! The second theater is much more comfortable when it comes to the seat, but nothing beats watching a movie from the balcony of the main theater! My favorite thing about the Fargo Theatre is that they have a monthly Classic Film Series where they show great old movies from the 40s - 80s! Seeing some of the old classics on the big screen is unforgettable!

Support your local theater! gotta go on a day that the guy plays the organ before the movie or during intermission if its a long one. we went to see Lawrence of Arabia here with my dad when we were kids. Man was that a long movie or what? heh. it kept my attention though and as a child i thought i was pretty fancy that we got to sit up in the balcony! i love the people that work @ the Fargo theater. always friendly. The fargo shows the good flicks...not the super money-maker chain theater movies. If you are in town for a night or two make it a date. Atleast stop in and ask if you can take a little look around. Check out the old organ on the upper level in the hall, and the statue of Marge from the move "Fargo."

A classic theater in Fargo, showing the non-blockbusters, this theater was also the site of various small theater productions back in the day of my youth in junior high and elementary school (I still remember a local production of Sleeping Beauty here many years ago). The seats and sound systems are all aging, and the facade was re-done back in the late 90's, but the old-school theater feel and organ are still the reasons to visit. They may even still play the movie Fargo every once in a while for the tourists.

My wife and I stopped here for a concert. The Fargo theater is pretty neat inside however it could use a seat refresh as they were not very comfortable. The staff was friendly, they sold beer and the music was outstanding. This was our first visit here and we would like to come back for more events. A must visit if you want to take in a live show.

The Fargo Theatre is the heart of downtown Fargo. The historic theater was restored some years ago and has a beautiful interior. They have big-name shows, like Spoon and Trampled by Turtles. And they show movies on a regular basis. It's neat that they show new movies, but I love that they show classics and kids movies, like Fargo and The Birds. Cheap concessions. Great venue. Love this place.

Went here for a event for a conference I was attending and I just couldn't get over how beautiful this theater is. I went here to see speakers so I'm not sure how well I can judge the actual theater. The seat were pretty comfy for being a old theater and the service seemed pretty friendly to me.

Looking for a fun, unique experience in Fargo? You need to see the iconic Fargo theater. The theater was restored in, i believe, 1997(?) and exhibits the most incredible art deco decor. I have yet to hear "The Mighty Wurlitzer" organ play, but it's on my to-do list. I was there a couple weeks ago to see Up In The Air with a good friend of mine. We sat up in the balcony and had a great time. The theater always seems to have unique, interesting movie selections. I know they used to have silent films there, which would be so much fun to see with the organ. They play cult classics from time to time as well. A very fun experience. Go check it out!

We went to The Lighthouse. From the very beginning it was hard to understand the actors. It was a hard story to follow and about halfway through the movie, my husband and I left. The popcorn wasn't very good either

For movies you will have a hard time seeing anywhere, this is the place. And they have a real movie organ to play B4 the feature! Seats are really comfy and just a great place to see something different.

The Fargo Theatre is where I usually where I have to go for movies I want to see; since I'm not into the Hollywood blockbusters. This works out ok because the interior is so art deco'd out it's like you are in Miami. There are awesome cult classic midnight movies, film festivals, and other local events that the theatre might be used for. My best experience at the Fargo theatre was hearing the old organ played for my science fiction film class' viewing of Metropolis

Love this old historic theatre... check out the interesting films and other shows. It's always worth going downtown for a night here. Great popcorn.

Great service, Great prices, Great food! This is a legendary Fargo landmark has lots of theatre space including a balcony with about 100 seats. It has very interesting architecture and two screens. Besides normal movies they host a lot of events and have kids specials with cheap admission and popcorn. You can also rent the theatre for birthday parties where you choose and bring the movie, it's a lot of fun.
