JAL TRUCKING

Google
On Monday, July 7, 2025, the same Hispanic woman everyone has been complaining about treated me very poorly, disrespected me, and even threatened to call the sheriff just because I told her she was being unfair and rude. I came over for help because the drink I wanted wasn't on the menu. She yelled at me, saying I had to order using the screen and that the drink was listed there. After searching for five minutes and not finding it, I told her I needed help, but she yelled that she was very busy and I had to wait. Then, someone got in line behind me and was immediately served without any problem. When I asked her what the difference was between me and that person, she angrily snapped at me, saying if I was done talking, she wouldn’t serve me and I should leave. She threatened to call the sheriff on me. It was an absolutely degrading and humiliating experience. I strongly advise against going to this place. This incident happened around 4:10 p.m. on July 7th 2025 I don’t understand why management keeps this employee after so many bad reviews that seem to be about the same person.

I know it’s just an airport coffee shop and these are first world problems but actual Farley’s outside the airport is so good and this one sucks. Giving Farley’s a bad rep. Croissant is literally at least a day old, dry and stale. The person who made the latte literally just let the milk steam, over bubble and then just dumped it into the cup with a shot. Just hot milk over espresso. $15. I just want my money and calorie count back.

Google
The hispanic lady working may 9th at around 12:30pm was SO RUDE. So unkind and inpatient to the customer in front of me. When I asked for my croissant (which is already pretty stale) to be warmed up, she got annoyed even though it’s her job. The cafe is a typical overpriced airport spot to go in between layovers. On a positive note, my latte was actually pretty good.

Peets is gone. In its place is Farely's Cafe between gate 22 and 23. The line goes directly to the register, bypassing the selection of food so you can't see what you might want to order. I ordered a bagel that felt like I was eating dried shaped gruel in a Siberia prison cell. There are so many things wrong with this one bagel, that I will go through the trouble of listing it for you, just for your amusement. The bagel was automatically toasted, not at my request. It was toasted too long or was very stale because it was hard to bite the hard exterior layer. Who am I kidding. The whole thing was stale and toasting it couldn't save it. It was hard to press my teeth together to chew through the bagel. I had to use the back molars to grind the bagel down. My jaw hurts. They didn't give me enough cream cheese to spread on two sides. It cost $4.50 for something that might have been served in the 1990's in a country that has never heard of bagels. But I'm determined to finish this thing because I am stuck on a plane and should something bad happen before I'm done, I will have a hard object to defend myself.

Google
I’m surprised to see so many low reviews. I had a long layover and ate here twice. The peanut butter banana bread was delicious. For lunch I had avocado toast and an iced latte- both were also good. The staff was friendly and they worked hard to get orders out quickly. Next to gate 22 and near bathrooms. Pro-tip: jump the line by ordering online by scanner the QR code at the end of the line.

Google
This cafe is next to gate 23 and opposite to the restrooms. Has few vegetarian/jain food options. I ordered a decaf mocha with almond milk. Staff is nice and helpful, they made it with regular coffee but replaced it when I told them that the order was for decaf. Mocha had less of the chocolate taste and was more of a regular iced coffee. Definitely have had better mocha elsewhere. Overall good place to get a quick flight while waiting for boarding or if you have just landed in Oakland airport terminal 2.

Don’t go here if you are trying to get an easy breakfast meal. For a single egg sandwich, where the picture shows bacon and cheese with the egg. They charge you an extra dollar because of the egg shortage. And the bacon and cheese arnt included and cost 3 bucks each. So basically you can spend 11 bucks for bread and eggs plus the dollar because of the “egg shortage”. And an additional 6 bucks for what the sandwich should already come with. So what shows as a 11 dollar sandwich. Comes to either a 20 dollar breakfast sandwich or a giant disappointment when you don’t see the small print

Iced chai tea latte was good! Options to substitute for oat and almond milk for an up charge

Yelp
My go-to cafe when I fly out of OAK. Between Gate 22 and 23. Love their thick egg with bacon and mozzarella sandwiches between STARTER BREAD. Yes, you heard me right. STARTER Bread that I stand in long lines for at the Farmers Market. Fresh ciabatta bread. Their iced vanilla latte is always so bold and flavorful Friendly staff and quick service

Yelp
This review is only for hot drinks. Waiting for the flight, ordered large caffe latte, chai latte, and matcha latte. 3 large drinks and $23 but and $2 tip. Waited 5 mins or so, lady that took my order looks at me and ask.. Can I help you.. I said yeah.. Waiting on my caffe latte, matcha and chai latte.. Lady goes.. Oh my gawd.. Im so sorry.. So I started laughing.. So you forgot about me.. Caffe latte.. Lame lame.. It was sooo weak, I wanted to ask her if she added coffee. Chai latte not too bad. Matcha latte not too bad either. She made little extra so she poured the rest of the drink which was about 4 Oz.. Probably save my money next time..

Yelp
Well stocked cafe at the Oakland airport Southwest terminal 2, centrally located. My early afternoon flight to San Diego was delayed by stormy weather, so I decided to get a lox bagel and chai to tide me over. The chai was ready quite fast, the bagel took a lot longer. My "everything" bagel was well filled with salmon and cream cheese, and I enjoyed it. Kept me going for the rest of the afternoon all the way to dinner. Will be back - it's a nice change from Starbucks.
google avatar

Andy N.

Yelp
Standard cafe located in Southwest Terminal 2 by Gate 24 that serves up coffee, bagels, and pastries. I got an Everything Bagel with Hummus ($6) and while toasted, the bagel was incredibly chewy and became hard very quickly. I liked having the hummus spread on the side so you can control how much to have, but the bagel itself was very much mediocre. If you're desperate for an overpriced bagel, then this is for you. Otherwise I'd skip it and wait til you can get something else after landing.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick dinner before my flight. There was no line. I ordered a Fiesta Bowl and Iced Chai Latte. I also asked for a cup of water. Service was quick. I decided not to sit and eat at their cafe and walked over to my gate instead. They do have a few tables and the area is bright. I enjoyed the bowl and latte. However, some of the lettuce pieces went bad already so I just removed them from the bowl. Overall, it's a light dinner option and I'd stop by again.

Yelp
This is a usual stop when I am at the airport. This time I got terrible service. First, they rush you (yes I know it's the airport) but they can do better, second, I ordered a croissant with egg and cheese only and still got order wrong. I got no cheese. They charge an extra $2 because they don't do sandwiches with the croissant but my croissant was burnt. So not worth it. Ambiance, what can I say, it's small and the line gets crowded. Not much to say about ambiance. So there's my update!
google avatar

Kim T.

Yelp
Right by gate 22, I always see big lines here so decided to give it a try Lavender latte less sweet (2 pumps), still sweet for my taste buds but tasty . The lavender is subtle but overall good drink. Egg sandwich with ham and cheese. Better option would be on a croissant. The mayo inside is very flavorful but a little rich for my liking. Some bites more dry than others. Was ok but I prob wouldn't get it again. Service friendly.

Yelp
I think I agree with the "Ok" three star rating. This spot was a good option for a morning bite and coffee, they worked through the lines pretty quickly too. My friends and I had grabbed a seat nearby and I saw their $15 Deal of the Week (Lox Bagel with a 12oz Latte) and decided it was probably the best deal I'd get before reaching our destination. When I made it to the counter I had to specify the deal I meant, it looks like there's a deal of the week and all day value meal, but I definitely wanted that Lox bagel. When I paid the $15 meal went up $0.75 for a 5% EE Surcharge (idk what that is), $1.61 for tax and I tipped $3 bringing my deal to $20.36. I guess that's still good for the airport. They waiting area for your food is a bit small so I kind of hovered outside the area to wait for my order, they got my name wrong, so I wasn't sure if my order was actually mine when I grabbed it, but it was. Both the bagel and drink were ok, not the best I've had, not bad either. It was nourishment and caffeine at an airport, so I was happy.

Yelp
This morning I landed in Oakland for a short layover and decided to have a cup of coffee while I wait. I'm not super familiar with the Oakland airport and as I got off the plane and started walking towards my next gate, I saw Farley's Cafe and gave it a shot. The ambience was typical hustle and bustle for an airport and there was a decent line but I had an hour before my next flight so I didn't mind. I didn't feel like something sweet and was more in the mood for a darker roast. I ordered an Cafe Au Lait with a dark roast and 2% milk. It was nice and real hot, but not the burn over roasted taste if you know what I mean.
google avatar

Mikki M.

Yelp
Hardest bagel I've ever had in my life; it actually hurt my teeth and even though I tried I could not eat it. I couldn't even cut it into smaller pieces by tearing it (see video) or using the plastic knife. Since I was in a hurry obviously I couldn't get a refund. Service and my vanilla oat milk latte were good at least, so that's why it is two stars instead of one.
google avatar

Marc G.

Yelp
Water down Café Ole. Quite expensive also. Staff is friendly. Not many options at the Oakland airport.
google avatar

GiGi G.

Yelp
The service was really bad at the Oakland location. The drinks were overpriced, especially for the portion size and the side of attitude served with the order.

Kristi K.

Yelp
Total rip off. And misleading menu. The breakfast sandwich on the kiosk order guide shows eggs, bacon and cheese. What I got had only a paltry amount of eggs on a big ciabatta roll with aioli. When I questioned it I was told that I had to pay extra to get those items by a very rude employee. I also ordered a lox bagel sandwich ($15 also a total ripoff). The menu picture shows a bagel, cream cheese, lox, capers and onions. This is exactly what it came with so why does the egg breakfast sandwich show the bacon and cheese if it doesn't come with that? Totally misleading FALSE advertising. This place sucks. Don't recommend.
google avatar

Sandy N.

Yelp
I ordered earl grey tea then decided to get a pastry. I asked what was freshly made and was told only a few items were brought in that morning so I chose the lemon raspberry scone. The scone was extremely dry like biscotti and had no flavor. It was like there was cardboard in it. I was hungry do I kept picking at it but ended up throwing 3/4s if it away. I don't recommend the pastries as I tried the chocolate croissant my last trip with same impression. On the bright side, the service was friendly.
google avatar

Aliza W.

Yelp
Great place to get coffee and or snacks before your flight . It's right next to gate 22 . I'm giving them a 4 stars because they took so long , usually they are really quick and it wasn't that many people but they took so long.
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
Worst experience with power tripping crazy lady who works behind the counter. I ordered the avocado toast it is 9:30 AM in the morning. I asked for a side of tahini dressing with it. I have a hard time swallowing bread because of a recent digestive surgery that I've had so I need to kind of keep things moist to swallow them. I ordered it that way they gave me my avocado toast and refused to give me the dressing. She says it's a lunch item they are not able to give any lunch items at all right now. It is dressing it's not necessarily a lunch item it's just something that is offered on one of their lunch items. She refused to sell it to me I told her I would pay for it no problem because she said she would charge me for it before and then she decided to be difficult and tell me that it wasn't available. This is after she argued with me that the micro greens on the avocado were just cilantro like it was a big pile of cilantro. I explained to her those are micro greens and I'm sure there's cilantro in it but those are definitely micro greens and she argued with me and then she told me that I couldn't have the dressing. this is so funny I can't even handle it right now. So now I'm sitting here with an avocado toast that I can't eat because I won't be able to eat anything but the avocado part and not even get this hard ass bread down. Ridiculous.

Yelp
Croissant is very dry and definitely not "butter"y. Inappropriate music choice. Besides the volume being loud and blasting, it was playing Pitbull's "Hotel room service". Did the manager let the employees pick the music? Or the manager himself is that immature? On the plus side they got me the coffee quick.
google avatar

Kevin G.

Yelp
Bagels were delicious and the counter service went over and above to customize the order. The special of the day is a solid deal. 5* for food and service but every restaurant that adds a 5% "EE surcharge" gets an automatic 1* rating. Hopefully these bogus fees will disappear on July 1.
google avatar

Alejandra D.

Yelp
My breakfast egg sandwich was yummy. The base is just egg and then you can add on cheese and meat for $2.50 extra. The bread was fluffy and soft. The egg was fluffy, thick, and actually covered the whole surface of the bread. Same goes for the ham and cheese, good surface area over the bread so you get everything in one bite. Sometimes that's hard to come by. I didn't get a beverage. There was about 5 people ahead of me and I was out in about 10 minutes. I would return for another breakfast sandwich.
google avatar

Molly L.

Yelp
I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese and it was the hardest bagel I'd ever had to chew. It was just not worth the $6+ dollar I paid (including tip) and it seems like this bagel was either over toasted or it just was not baked thoroughly because I really had to bite into the bagel and chew really hard. I'm pretty disappointed. On the bright side, they are pretty efficient. Took about 10-15 minutes in a long airport line of about 20 people. They keep those coffee and pastry breakfast orders churning. I might try their other items but i definitely wouldn't get the bagel again.
google avatar

Cor Z.

Yelp
I ordered mocha and paid additional for whip cream. I was told at the pick up window, they do not have whip cream. They wouldn't offer a refund. Also, I ordered mix berry smoothie and was told there is none left. They should blocklist items that run out instead of forcing their customers to deal with their mistakes. I will not come back and will warn others. Good luck.

Yelp
I haven't been back to OAK for a while. I was expecting to find Peet's, Oaklandish, or even Starbucks during this layover but didn't find any of them. I did find Farley's. The coffee was priced average for an airport, service was airport typical, and my five shot coffee just wasn't the same as other rice shot coffees. I appreciate the milk alternatives and do I appreciate having a coffee. If you're not able to find other coffee options, there's Farley's
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
I love Farley's! I used to frequent their downtown Oakland location when I worked there in person. Airport location has lots of yummy pastries and takeout sandwiches on display, a clean modern dining area, and a menu with beverages, and dine in sandwiches. I got the toasted club sandwich, which has turkey, avocado, bacon, cheddar, tomato, green goddess sauce on a tasty ciabatta roll. Service was quick and the sandwich was fresh and delicious. Only gripe was the cost ($20 after all the fees) which is expected from airport food but it still makes me cringe.
google avatar

Grace A.

Yelp
Deal of the week is a deal - Lox Bagel with Lavander Latte. Since first cafe by the entrance it always has a line but service is fast. Staff friendly.

Dina M.

Yelp
Solid iced vanilla latte. Good service and nice seating area w natural light. Nice to stop by before my flight.
google avatar

Yelp
Don't part 2. I went to Fairless East in Oakland and it was great. I got a mocha, a gluten-free something, and was satisfied with the flavor and everything. If you are expecting a good experience from this outpost, do not bother! The line was so long that I thought it was promising, however, it wasn't. I got there and there was a shorter line. The problem for me is that I order two things one garden went bad. Unfortunately, the good thing was just OK so it wasn't good it was acceptable. The mocha was way too sweet. And the problem with that is that coffee is bitter and the sweetness takes away from the espresso bitter flavor. However, the level of sweetness was so high. It felt more like a dessert! I honestly couldn't finish my mocha. And I have a major sweet tooth And I have to sugar in my coffee/espresso drinks. But it was too much for even me. The OK part was the parfait with coconut milk, she has seeds, and fruit at the bottom. I did have kind of a strange, granular texture, however, it did hit the spot, and it was better than the coffee drink! This is the reason why they have a star and not -4 stars, which is what I would've given them based on the drink. Just to be fair, I had high expectations because I've eaten at Farley's eighth and had a grand time. So for this Apple to fall so far from that tree, it was a bit disconcerting for me.
google avatar

Sean P.

Yelp
Like nearly all airport cafes, this spot has overpriced pre-packaged cold meal options and a few overpriced hot meal options. But there aren't really any cheaper options. So after a brief wait in line with a half dozen other people, my wife and I ordered a hot sandwich and an iced coffee to share. The sandwich was made quickly and tasted pretty good. The staff forgot our iced coffee so we had to request it again but it was also made and served quickly. Good music but a little loud. There are a fair number of seating options but they fill up quickly. Overall, a decent experience for lunch in the Oakland Airport.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Well, they have managed to make cinnamon rolls awful. What's the best part of a cinnamon roll? The frosting! Their frosting tastes like play doh. Yuck!
google avatar

S T.

Yelp
The staff needs training in customer service. No line just me at 5pm. Maybe the service experience is reason for the lack of a line. Good service is the result of good training.

Aldair L.

Yelp
The wait for the food was a bit slow but it was worth it when I received my sandwich!
google avatar

Sharon V.

Yelp
Terrible service that was straight up hostile. I was traveling with a toddler who needed to go to the restroom. I asked the cafe worker to please not throw away our food as we would be back in a couple of minutes. She yelled her response "NO, I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS!!!!!!" There were no name tags. She is Latina and wears black glasses and a bun. She was working at around 4:30pm on 8/14 in case the manager sees this message.
google avatar

Tiffany J.

Yelp
I visited the one in the Oakland airport near gate 22. I had a Lavender Iced Latte and a BLTA Sandwich (BLT w/ avocado). Everything was pretty good. I didn't really taste any lavender in my latte but other than that the sandwich was delicious with lots of fresh green and served on ciabatta bread. It also had a herb aioli on it that was tasty as well. The service was pretty quick and employees extremely friendly!
google avatar

Kaelin N.

Yelp
I had to make a pit stop before heading to my terminal for breakfast! At 6am on a Thursday morning it was quite busy. There were several others in front of me. It's airport coffee and breakfast so for what it is, I can't expect more. Even price wise, it's the airport. I got a Lox bagel and a vanilla latte for $15. The bagel could be better as for the cream cheese and latte, but again airport. Farley's served its purpose.
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
Hire more people! Day before Thanksgiving and you only have two people working?? The cashier was making smoothies while people waited to order. You should have one person fully dedicated to cashier while two - three people are fulfilling orders. Very inefficient operation
google avatar

Kris B.

Yelp
These guys are fast and efficient, just what you want in an airport location. Huge line went very fast as they whipped up coffee drinks, pastries and bagels. My "go-to" is always a plain bagel toasted with cream cheese and a large black iced tea.
google avatar

Cedric V.

Yelp
Paid for an Americano, waited 15min, never got my order. Asked the team, they finally found my order they missed, but it was too late and I had to run to catch my flight. A disorganized business that has no reason to be here. I lost my time and my money.
google avatar

Julie C.

Yelp
Farley's has become our go-to Oakland Airport breakfast spot. Their egg sandwiches are made on warm, tasty bread. I always add mushrooms and cheese to mine while my daughter prefers to add ham and cheese. Such a filling, tasty start to our travel days. Service is always friendly. If you eat in, you can charge your devices and borrow magazines. The music was a bit loud, which was only a problem when they played Tay-tay.
google avatar

Alyson C.

Yelp
I come here almost every time I fly out of Oakland (which is quite often) and always order the grilled cheese! I don't know what it is about it but the combination of cheeses, green onions, and side salad is a perfect small bite before a flight. Service is always fast aside from the line being long at certain times of day and they have plenty of seating which is great for an airport cafe. Being able to enjoy your food while watching the planes take off outside the window is the perfect airport vibe.
google avatar

Jack W.

Yelp
The coffee (latte) tasted like water. On a separate note, anything managed by the City of Oakland... oy vey! The fact the Starbucks isn't a concession shop at Oakland Airport suggests something about the Port of Oakland management team. This is the entity that took twelve years to build the underpass at 98th and San Leandro Blvd. meanwhile, even BART managed to extend to Santa Clara County within this time frame!
google avatar

Leandra A.

Yelp
Overpriced bread and cheese! Definitely won't be eating here again but might grab a coffee and use their chargers while waiting for my flight!
google avatar

Kimm B.

Yelp
The coffee & food are good here but please tell me why you have ONE person working at the height of holiday travel at 7am?! I'm looking at 4 people behind the bar and a line down the block. It makes no sense.
google avatar

Madeleine L.

Yelp
Well, on a positive note, the food was good. Had a grilled cheese sandwich. But, man, it is seriously expensive. Over $21 for a Coke, chips and grilled cheese sandwich, Yeah, I know it tends to always be expensive at an airport, but, yikes!
google avatar

Lolia S.

Yelp
Farley's Cafe, a branch of Farley's Coffee, recently opened inside Terminal 2 of Oakland International Airport. They roast their own coffee. You can get espresso drinks and coffee, tea, pastries (e.g., croissants, danish, cookies, muffins, scones), bagels, avocado toast, and egg sandwiches. They also have grab & go salads, wraps, yogurt parfaits, and drinks in the refrigerated case. A 12 oz latte is $5.20. Drip coffee: Dark roast, similar to Peet's - not awful, not great The pastry and food options look better than Peet's in the same terminal. Peet's wraps their pastries in plastic wrap. Farley's does not.

Rylee N.

Yelp
Coffee was good and food was well made. It was busy tho and the service is abrupt. Not a lot of seating.
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
I wanted a smoothie but tend to be very picky. I saw that Farley's had 2 (mixed berry or mango) and the the Ingredient list was simple. I don't like ones that are too sweet and the lovely staffer told me it wasn't -- just sweetened with a little honey and it also has some yogurt. The smoothie was perfect! Since there weren't reviews of their smoothies,I thought I'd add one here.
google avatar

Julie G.

Yelp
Gosh, airport food at Oakland is not great and the usual expensive prices. Got the Americano and croissant. Together came out to $10+. This cafe is located near gate 21. A positive was the line was short. The negatives are the service isn't great, the coffee tasted burnt, and I ordered a chocolate croissant but they gave me a plain one. A reminder to me to next time bring your own food.
google avatar

Danny I.

Yelp
The latte was awful. Not only did it taste sour, but it also gave me the runs. On top of that, even when I had to run to the bathroom, they wouldn't let me use it. On top of that, the bathroom was vacant. I nearly went on the floor. I really don't know why they denied me use of the bathroom as a paying customer. It felt wrong. Very very suspect.
google avatar

Nanette A.

Yelp
Oakland Airport, 5 am flight, was so happy this opened at 4 am. Has a fresh perfect Americano, smelled great and tasted great. We got in line at 3:45 am; were second in line for 4 am opening, so quick service. Being only coffee open at that time,by 4 am there were 20+ people in line....granddaughter said cinnamon twist was a little hard but delicious. They had fresh bread and pastry We watched them open from bakery.
google avatar

Andres B.

Yelp
Dry dry dry croissant at $6. Like eating a piece of cardboard . Terrible oat milk hot chocolate. Add in a water and there goes $20.
