I was really looking forward to my breakfast from Farmer Boys, it was first time but unfortunately, it was also my last…it was very disappointing. The only warm item in my order was the coffee. My breakfast sandwich, on the other hand, was cold, and the top bread was completely burnt, so dark it looked and tasted like charcoal. The sandwich bread was also stiff and hard to chew, which made it nearly impossible to eat. I believe it was an English muffin style bread, but it was just not edible. It was really frustrating because I had high hopes. But this experience left me upset and unsatisfied. I’ve attached a photo for reference. I hope this feedback helps improve future quality and consistency.

First visit. We came based on reviews. We ordered the 3 eggs breakfast (hash browns, English muffin, choice of sausage, bacon, or ham) and the ($10.99 for just the sandwich) chicken avocado with bacon sandwich with a side order of 4 pieces of breaded zucchini (DELICIOUS!). The chicken was dry (not sure if the chicken was boiled, but next time I'd ask for it grilled). I doused it with ranch due to its dryness. Made it easier to swallow. The hash browns were very greasy. We forwent the drinks and ordered a vanilla and a strawberry milkshake. They both were very good. The service was very good. Alberta was very friendly. She came and even cleared our dishes after we ate. Would we return? If we were in the area again, yes. *This was more a 4.5 🌟 rating due to the greasy hash browns and dry chicken, but didn't give that option, hence 4 🌟 was given. At $50 for what was ordered and the quality, very pricey.

If you haven't eaten here, there's definitely no need to wait any longer. The food is so fresh!! Delicious! Great portions!! Very friendly service! And a Drive Thru! This is food you'd feel good about feeding your children. Freshest "fast food" around! The fried zucchini is a whole zucchini cut in 4, and has the perfect crispy batter!

Went through the drive through at 545 am...one person in front of me. Waited for OVER 10 MINUTES!!! I drove off. Sorry... Not sure if the person in front of me ordered the whole menu or some type of unused issue but thats way too long for a drive through when you're trying to get to work. First time ever going here and im not sure if the long wait is NORMAL because they just take THAT MUCH care in preparing your food. If thats the case...im willing to try it again...if not....I can't take that gamble again.

I'm impressed with the food quality, the customer service! In nowadays companies are too busy wanting customers that they forget to serve quality fresh food. I used to drive by FarnerBoys many times since I live nearby, and I'll say um one of these days, today was that day!

Finished my 5am workout and wanted a protein bowl without having to cook when I got home. This popped up in my google maps when I searched and I’ve never been here so decided to pop in. I was pleasantly surprised that I could scan, order, and pay at the table. I wanted to check the nutrition facts before ordering 😅 I got the Grilled Chicken Salad because it was 55g of protein and HUGE. I ended up getting half of it to go so that will be a yummy lunch. My coffee cup was never empty and I was checked on but never too much. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive even amongst the busy breakfast rush, especially Rocio and Isaac. The only problem I have is that there wasn’t an option to leave tip during payment; this staff was more than deserving of it! Will definitely be back! 🐷 ♥️

This place is "bomb". The double cheeseburger came out picture perfect. The staff was super friendly and the seating area is really clean. They have all the condiments on the table and plenty more if you ask for them. The only negative is that they carry Pepsi and not Coke.

As good as alway. It is our favorite place to go. Food is alway good. Selection is wide and good also. It is located in busy corner with traffic but it is easy to get in coming from anywhere!.

Came in around 10:00 on a Saturday. Place was moderately busy but I was able to order quickly. Cashier was polite and worked quickly. The place is very clean but is a bit dark in the center. Think the posters on the windows block some light. Got my food in about 5 minutes. Cinnamon rolls were a bit dry but I think it's expected that you put lots of syrup on them. Still tasted good but it would be nice to have some syrup that doesn't have corn syrup/high fructose corn syrup as the first ingredient. Eggs were good, no seasoning but table was stocked with condiments so that was no problem. Sausage was great, not too greasy like it gets at some places. Orange juice was good as well, didn't taste artificial. A bit expensive price wise, but that's just the state of fast food. 7/10 I enjoyed it. Inside is nice, just be aware that the area the restaurant is located in can be a bit sketchy.

I come here 1-2 times a year maybe just to eat bfast at a different place. The food is good and big portions. The price is costly. They do not have coffee creamers (like Vanilla or any other flavor). Service is fine (it can be better). Customers (like myself) can feel genuine good service and not. After the last time I was here, I don't think I'll come back. It's not worth it for me. I'll try other places.

This is a LONG overdue update... Farmer Boys is one of the few places we'll frequent when I don't feel like cooking. My kids love it..burgers, breakfast all day...it's always a win-win. My better half and I love their chopped cobb salad. They nail the perfect ratio every time between meat and salad. It's magical. Download the app for all their special deals and freebies. It's worth it! I'll be back!

Farmers bros is one of my favorite quick food places ! They made me fresh, hot brewed coffee . We also had the Cobb salad ( definitely fresh , not bagged lettuce ) and zucchini! Service was great with a smile . Love the ambiance inside ! Highly recommend Farmers Bro ! They even serve yummy breakfast

My family had never been here before, except for my husband, who frequented Farmer Boys when he was younger. I have to say our experience from start to finish was terrific. The lady who took our order was great, the food came out quickly, and each person who delivered our food was delightful! I was a bit reluctant to come in because the surrounding area isn't that nice, but I'm happy we did. Our children enjoyed it more than IHOP and the food was great. We will be coming back in the future. Ring the bell. They thank you each time you do :).

Absolutely, ridiculously good God-tier french fries. I was taken aback at how good the fries are. Big, thick, and crispy. I had the classic chicken sandwich and it was a tad overfried, but overall the sandwich was good.

It's a very good griddled smashburger but the patties are very thin, so get a double if you're really hungry. The fries are great tasting and perfectly fried! I was checking out the menu as I ate and saw that a basic bacon, eggs, hash browns, and toast breakfast is $16.99!

Just ordered a spicy chicken sandwich from the drive thru. Chicken was hard as a rock barely edible, super thin don't know what happened but this location is always good. Maybe overzealous cooks today

Stopped by on our way to the coast. Very clean. Incredibly friendly service. Nice little outside patio area to sit with our little dog. The ingredients were high quality. We got two hamburgers and fries. Busy on a Sunday afternoon. One person in our group said they preferred In-n-Out. Worth a try.

Really friendly, invested staff. Especially nice since it's not a "fancy" restaurant. Food well priced. Egg sandwich with meat ( choice of ham, bacon or sausage) about $7.50. Fluffy Pancake platter! Definitely recommend for quick meal.

Wish there were more Farmer's Boy in the areas. I love their cobb salad. It's full of good quality proteins. The chicken aren't like your usual fast food place chicken. The pieces are big and tender. With fast food chicken salads, you'd be lucky if you get scraps, but this, you KNOW it's cut from a full chicken breast. The bacon is not bacon bits from a bottle. It's actual bacon. This is probably my favorite cobb salad, taking into consideration the quality and price. Can't find a better deal anywhere else. They also have a loyalty program you can earn points for free food. Each order of salad can be shared between 2 people. Any time I'm craving a salad, I would definitely make Farmer's Boy my first consideration. If only it wasn't so far from my house....

Disappointing, food was horrible. Place used to be pretty good, quality was just not there. Ordered sourdough double cheese. This does not look like that.

If you want a good fast food. I was just passing by after getting a tattoo done in SD. I was driving back home & wanted to get something fast to eat after getting gas. I asked for what they had, to my surprise, this place is like a old fashion diner style with a lot of options. I ordered the: Farmer's Burger combo w/ 50/50% Zucchini and potato fries. The fries are really too hot to eat, when you first get them. The crunch!! The burger is also massive!! For the price of about +$14. Def worth a try in the area & with great customer service!!

Always loved eating here. Their signature avocado bacon burger is divine. The staff is super friendly and helpful too. Greet us when we walked in , asked if we had any questions on the menu. The restaurant is clean and tidy. The self service drink area is spotless, offering Coke products. We were given complimentary blue cheese dressing for dipping. The dressing was obviously homemade. So good!! The staff came out and checked on us while we were dining. We truly had a fantastic meal. I just wish they would open a location in north San Diego coastal area.

My only complaint is that I didn't get the employees names! Everytime I come here they are so polite and professional! Today was our third time coming here (bf and I). The food doesn't do us wrong. It's pretty flavorful and the portions are great! I don't mind waiting a couple minutes for the food (drive thru). This place has easily become one of our to-go-to spots when we're too drained to cook/want a burger. Thank you to all the staff kicking butt in there! You guys are amazing. You all have a smile on your face and are very respectful. Working in a restaurant can be very tough, but y'all don't show it. Thank you for the delicious food!

I am begging someone to bring a farmer boys location closer to San Diego. This is a hidden gem. I've had farmer boys bookmarked for a total of 5 years now, I just haven't been in the area to give it a try. Recently it's been trending on TikTok and I was finally in Escondido to give it a shot. I have been craving it ever since. To be exact, the zucchini fries were trending on TikTok. I got a large order of zucchini fries and an all natural burger. My friend got some chili cheese fries because the employees sold us on them. An employee who stood out was Briana. I hope I spelled it right. We tried everything she recommended and it was all delicious. The zucchini fries are trending for a reason. They're big and fried to perfection. They're as big as your fork! Crispy and meant to be dipped into their ranch. The all natural burger was very yummy. Will I get canceled if I say it was better than 5 guys? Cause it was! Juicy burger, fresh toppings and I dipped this into their chipotle sauce and it was money. I would order this again. The chili cheese fries were amazing. Crispy fries, homemade chili, plenty of cheese. My weak friends said onion on the side (lame). The zucchini fries and chili cheese fries were the best I've ever had here. I don't know what kind of magic they're doing here, but I need this in my life weekly! The service was really great. Briana won us over. She kept checking on our table to make sure we liked everything we ordered and even told us to what to try next time we came in. Please please please bring this closer to San Diego.

We have visited this place twice now. Both times the service is amazing, and they are constantly cleaning it make it nice. The parking lot is a little wonky, and it is a weird location. The food is great. We have got the bacon boy burger, the farmers burger, onion rings, zucchini, fried fish, and fries. The guacamole is very fresh, and chunky without a whole lot of other stuff shoved it, could use a little seasoning. The ranch the serve is amazing, what ever little we have leftover comes home to enjoy later. The onions are my favorite, they are big and crunchy. Everything fried has a nice firm texture not soggy or oilly like at most places. I did notice today they have a vanilla cream cold brew to try next time, and the best part is this is the first place I have seen who makes their milkshakes with "Thrifty's Ice Cream", so that will be added to our next try IYKYK, and the salads look massive could easily split with two others.

Brown disgusting avocado and frozen chicken is what you will get with no dressing at all. For $15, Toms down the street is 100 times better. Absolutely gross.

Stopped in for a late lunch and shared a grilled chicken avocado sandwich. Great counter service while training a new employee. Food was excellent. Chicken moist and flavorful, fresh garnishes. Crisp fries. They even split it on two plates for us without us asking when we said we were sharing it. Clean facility & bathroom. Definitely visit here when we're in the area again.

Is it just me, or is there a sniff of desperation in the efforts, over the past few decades, of Southern California burger restaurants - Tommy's, In-N-Out, Slater's 50/50, Fatburger, etc. - trying either to surpass or circumvent Five Guys' success? I'll include Farmer Boys in that list, if only because, according to their website, "...Farmer Boys® was founded in 1981 by five burger-loving brothers...", which sounds to me like Five Guys Burgers & Fries, without the stellar boardwalk fries. I mean, Farmer Boys' burgers are decent enough - superior to most of the region's faster food places, in fact, but they're just burgers, and the two times I ate at the place, I confronted a bothersome braggadocio in the restaurant's menu and promotional material, an aggressive insistence that I recognize the fact that they've won burger awards (seriously?), and, though it was unspoken, a sort of hint that I was lucky to be there. Again, they're just burgers. So would I dine at Farmer Boys again? Sure, why not? The food wasn't bad, and if there wasn't a Five Guys nearby and I was hungry for a burger and I had time, I'd drop in. Would I drive 45 minutes, from the middle of San Diego County to the nearest Farmer Boys, for a burger? Nope. Never again. I mean, c'mon... it's just a burger.

Pico sauce had old vegetables and very dry no juice, cups of pico looked dried and wilted dark green. Too expensive for unfresh food

My boyfriend and I used to love coming to Farmer Boys and would visit several times a month. We live a good 30 minutes away and would make the drive since there is no closer location. We came to this location on 12/30/23 at 8:50 pm and the lobby was closed. There was a sign on the door that only drive through was open. We were pretty upset that we drove 30 minutes and couldn't dine in. We didn't want to do drive through since that would've been another 30 minute drive home and food would have been cold. We eneded up driving a few more miles to the E Valley Pkwy location. We ended up emailing corporate after the experience to file a complaint. The person we spoke with said the lobby at the location we visited is supposed to always be open until 10 pm so she is not sure why it was closed. She said she was going to forward our complaint and we would hear back from someone else. After no follow up for over a week, we called again on 1/12/24. After getting the run around and no resolution, my boyfriend called the location and spoke with the assistant manager Rocio Hernandez. She did say that sometimes they close the lobby an hour early but drive through is open. I get it you want to probably clean early and leave right at 10, but that is being lazy and is affecting your customers. She didn't understand that it was an inconvenience for us to drive 30 minutes away and the lobby be closed and we still had to drive another few more miles to another location. Clearly Farmer Boys and their management does not care. I will not be going to any more locations and will be taking my business elsewhere. *Funny how after visiting the other location, their sign on the wall says: "We never cut corners when it comes to treating folks right."

So many mixed emotions. I love love love the Cali BLT. Traditional BLT with avocado... I get it every time. Buuuut I guess they realized I'm homeless.. the price shot from 9$ to over 12... I only had 11... They told me to go out side the lovely young lady who took my order was nice enough and got me the senior discount. But after giving there people my last 11.50 for a CALI BLT (hold the lettuce) instead I didn't get avocado like I paid for I got heavy mayo. This location is bs. I'll give the tiny funds I do have and eat somewhere that treats me with dignity.

Never eat here. Racist, unfriendly server. Couldn't get a single refill on coffee but family at next table received soda and coffee refills multiple times. Dennys is MUCH better.

The food here never disappoints. You can definitely taste the freshness. Service is great, the staff are always so kind. I usually only go through the drive through so I can't say much about the ambiance. Would definitely recommend. Chili cheese fried are my favorite.

Enjoyed the burgers and fries, but tbh was disappointed the 2nd visit. Maybe I ordered wrong.

The food is good, just know what you want to order it can be over but they will accommodate to your needs.

We've been visiting Farmer Boys restaurants in Escondido for over 15 years. We used to live in North County San Diego and would make the drive North just to eat there. We retired to West Ramona 8 years ago and still visit FB at least once a week, usually for breakfast. Our most recent trip to the location on Mission was a shocker! Prices have gone up so much that we are rethinking coming back. Over $40 for a 3-egg breakfast (with teeny tiny eggs) and a Cobb salad, coffee and a soda. As good as their food is, it's becoming too expensive. Must also add that their pico de Gallo ALWAYS looks tired and looks like it was made a week ago. They do have excellent customer service here.

Stopped in for the first time in years....was early so breakfast it was! I Used the drive-thru so I can't comment on the interior. Drive-thru was clean and organized...which I find is standard for the Farmer Boys I've ever visited. I ordered the two egg sandwich with bacon and a side of hash browns. The sandwich I'm rating on my scale which is pretty tough....the sandwich had way too much egg and I'm not sure why they call it a two egg sandwich when the eggs are clearly not eggs they crack and make....these are obviously the container type and as usual they slop on a heaping blob of yucky container eggs....the first thing I did was strip most of that glob off and put it back together...it was good after that. Guys quit with the more is better approach....it's not a winner. Go back to real eggs inside the shell or die a slow and miserable death just like what's been happening since you made the switch. People please....wake up! Quality over quantity. Maybe you offer it but put the other bread options on the outdoor menu....and IF it's there....let's make it clear. I'll try them for lunch and see if maybe that's their best time. It looked clean from the outside which is nice...food came fast and was hot. Wish it was nice cracked eggs....sourdough toast option....mmmmmm sounds so good.

Great food I get the turkey blt and it is awesome. Also sometimes get the 3 eggs breakfast for my baby. Inside is usually open and the service is quick. I always come here after sleeping in and hit the drive through. Be sure to ask for hot sauce!

Whoever runs this location... well done! We love coming here. Employees here are SO NICE; these people are the face of this location. Attentive, personable- rays of sunshine. Food is always hot and fresh. Ordered the zucchini sticks. Crisp, light, and cooked to perfection with just enough firmness to remain. Their ranch is the absolute best! Wish they had coke rather than pepsi, but what do ya do. I can't comment on their dining area, as I've only used the drive-thru. But keep up the great work!

I went there for breakfast for the first time, and I have to say from the first moment you walk through the door, they are friendly, attentive and they made sure that they heard and placed your order correctly. The food came out fresh, hot and the taste was very good. I would recommend this location to everyone.

Been on my tasting list for a while now. Tried their cheeseburger & fries. It wasn't anything special. I rather have Wendy's. Their ranch was good which is a point of pride for them in fact.

Huge salads. Huge potions period. They are another good to for my doordash orders for work. Fast and on top of their packaging for togo. Also huge onion rings lol

I have always loved the food here. High quality, reasonably fast, and always made with care. I come back often and am always very happy. Best chicken strips in Escondido! The staff seem cheery and bright, and it creates the welcome atmosphere you hope to find in a small diner. On the rare occasion that something was missing or made incorrectly, the shift manager, Rocio, made it right again immediately and with sincere smiles. Thank you for such great food and good vibes!

Great burgers for a decent price. If you're on a diet do go here. They for sure don't skimp in the the size. I guess Civid didn't hit them in the pocketbook too bad. Super delicious burgers. Give a try.

This location is so good, burgers always taste fresh! Fries have never been too salty and are always crispy. The bacon boy is my go to but the wife really likes the Farmer Burger. My go to place when we can't decide on dinner. I enjoy their breakfast burrito, not the best BB i've had but for the price and the good portion size I can't complain.

The fries were amazing. Burger had an after taste. Chicken was aiight. Came in a big box.

We always have a nice meal here. We normally use the drive up but today we ate inside and it was so pleasant. The service was really friendly, accurate and the dining room is spotless. It was quiet and there's lots of parking. The food is excellent although I'm guilty of ordering pretty much the same two items - California omelet and crispy chicken sandwich. It reminds me of an upscale mom and pop diner but with a great rewards program and app. We will be back again and again.

I come here about once a week, usually for breakfast on my way to work. While it's technically fast food, it's a great alternative to the usual chain restaurants. The food is pretty good, all made fresh to order. A bit of a home-cooked feel. But I think the best part of visiting this location every week is the friendly service. It's really noticeable! They are very polite and it seems genuine. Yahara always makes an impression with her excellent customer service.
