All-Day Eatery Farmer’s Table Brings Brunch to Bay Park - Eater San Diego

"Farmer’s Table, the all-day restaurant that has drawn consistent crowds since it debuted last year in La Mesa, launches a second location this Thursday in the Clairemont Village Shopping Center at the junction of Clairemont and Bay Park. Located next to Sprouts Farmers Market, the 3,500-square-foot restaurant is outfitted in all manner of repurposed farm trappings, including a decommissioned tractor; it’ll opens at 8 a.m. with a daytime menu that features a global panoply of egg dishes, from French omelets to Italian frittatas, Mexican huevos rancheros, and classic American eggs Benedict, all made with eggs from Eben-Haezer Poultry Ranch in Ramona. There’s also French toast and pancakes, plus lunchtime fare like salads and sandwiches; don’t miss the extreme Bloody Marys, garnished with a bacon-wrapped hot dog or a whole roast chicken." - Candice Woo

Google
Omar was an amazing server! He was super attentive, friendly, and made us feel really welcome the entire time. The food was beyond incredible — honestly a 10/10 (if I could give it higher, I would!). Everything was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, thanks to both the food and the outstanding service.🌟🌟🌟

Google
It is being advertised as a rustic farm house, but really it felt more like a modern restaurant with nice farm tables. Staff was great and very attentive. Food was mediocre. I had veggie Panini. While the panini was toasted to perfection, my sandwich was just warm. It was a bland sandwich. I didn't taste any sauce, and neither any of the vegetables in there stood out when I took a huge bite. Dad ordered American breakfast- just typical toast, eggs, and sausage. Nothing special. For the price I paid, plus 3% credit card extra charge, I was expecting better quality food.

Google
We had a great experience here for Sunday brunch. There is a parking lot across the street, which may gets busy during peak hours. The Classic Benedict and Red Chilaquiles were great. We also had a Mexican mocha, the manmosa, and mango mamosa for drinks. I definitely recommend the Mexican Mocha. The service was great and our food was served with very little wait.

Google
Review of Farmers Table in La Mesa The vibe here is older farm, and the music track was from the 90s and 80s. Nice background, so you're not shouting over it. If you're looking for brunch, do yourself a favor and hit this place up. I had the Sweet Thoughts, which is a pancake, waffle, and French toast charcuterie board. The Pancakes were ok. They are oreo on the inside and cooked to a golden perfection, fluffy and cooked on the inside. Those waffles come with a cookies and hand whipped cream. It is Hella good. The batter has the best sweet vanilla flavor to them. The best thing on the board is the French Toast. I believe in the saying "Keep it simple and make it perfect." These are the essence of a perfect French toast. Enough wash to make it semi-crusty and a touch of vanilla cinnamon. It was how a French toast should be made. Whoever this chef was.. wow! The pulled pork eggs bennidict. The pork is Delicious... Savory, with a background of smokiness. The sauce has a sharp Chipotle sauce that compliments the Pork and isn't over powering. The egg was poached exactly correct. When popped it flowed like a creamy lava of richness. This is a definite put on the try it list. Alejandra was our server. She's fun, on top of everything. She even listened as she walked past the table next to us as the gentleman said he wished he had a new fork and napkin. She was back with a fork and napkin in less than a minute. He even mentioned he was impressed she heard him without his needing to be asked. We never wanted for anything, and the staff was so attentive.

Google
Farmer’s Table in La Mesa has such a cozy, rustic vibe, and their signature pizzas are a must-try fresh ingredients, perfectly crisp crust, and full of flavor. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to linger over good food and good company. 9/10

Google
I've been taking my family here for years now since they've open. Great spot but we are normally here for breakfast. This is one of the very few for dinner. The Pork Shank is legit. Great flavor and fall off the bone. I typically don't like chunks in my mashed potatoes, but they were OK. Spinach was spot on. Service was great. Everyone is a bit on top of each other in there, but... Hey... It'll be a La Mesa staple for years.

Google
The staff was cold and not very greating. After waiting 15 min we were brought a small glass of warm water. I ordered the chicken parmesan, and it was so rubbery I couldn't even cut through it. The sauce was super runny and did not taste good, and there was barely any cheese on the chicken. My girlfriend got a medium burger that was well done and cold. The tomato on here burger had a big chunk of the stem. We sent everything back and we will not be coming back the food was terrible and expensive. after spending almost an hour there we left hungry and disappointed. Save your time and money and just go somewhere else

Google
*Dog friendly!* Astro turf for the patio and lovely lighting at night. Delicious carbanara and tiramisu! We also tried the octopus appetizer and it was pretty tasty.

Yelp
We had a luncheon company party of 20+ with a set menu and everything was wonderful! Our semi-private room was ready for us with menus printed out with our event name. Food was delicious (our compliments to the chef), made with fresh ingredients, you can taste the farm to table freshness!. Everyone was happy. Our server Riva was phenomenal! She was friendly, curteous and so organized. It takes a lot to handle a large group and she handled it like a professional!.

Yelp
This place is awesome! The drinks are super good & the food is on point! We had a very nice experience. Norma took really good care of us. Jessica came by and I told her about a drink I like that wasn't on the menu and she made it happen. It was super good! Honestly, highly recommend and will be back.

Yelp
We came for brunch and only waited for about 15 minutes for a party of 3. Lilidnd provided great friendly and bilingual service and was SO accommodating to our dietary restrictions. All the food was delicious and this is a place we can always rely on to be delicious! Favorites are the green chilaquiles and GF pancakes! Also the dirty chai espresso martini is divine!

Yelp
Excellent patio for a business lunch in La Mesa. I ordered a veggie panini with fries-very tasty. Service was excellent and the menu provided many options for all tastes. Recommend!

Yelp
This is my 2nd visit to this restaurant. The restaurant is super cute. The problem in La Mesa is the parking. Our waiter was okay, not sure if he just didn't want to bother us. I had the #Tijuana Birria Benedict with the breakfast potatoes. It was just highly mediocre. I'd try something different if I go back.

Yelp
I came here on Christmas Day 2024 with three other ladies I didn't know. I ordered Chilean sea bass for $34.95. Not many restaurants have this fish on their menu which I was kind of surprised because it's supposed to be a natural food restaurant serving sustainable crops but Chilean sea bass is one of those fishes on the do not eat list because it's overfished. Also, it is notably high in mercury content and "not recommended to eat this fish (AKA Patagonian Toothfish) more than 2 x a month. So I found having this fish on their Chef's Special menu not in sync with this restaurant's focus. But the fish was very tasty and the broccolini was real sweet and crispy. But the mashed potatoes were cold... so cold that I decided not to make a scene with a very busy server by sending the mashed potatoes back in front of these new ladies I was just meeting. I would just take it home in a box and heat it up at home. Cos long ago, when I went to a restaurant with Sierra Club Singles, the leaders of that group kicked me out of SCS because they said I embarrassed them by making demands of the server, about my food not being right. Otherwise I would have given this restaurant five stars. The server Virginia B. was very efficient and she took great care of us and came to our table many times to pour us in our glasses over and over again. Very attentive . Pictured below is my Chilean sea bass fillet on top of broccolini all on top of the beet mashed potatoes. Second picture is another diner's filet mignon blue rare and third picture is her caprese salad which looked like a Hostess snowball. We even looked up Hostess snowball on our phones and the shaved cheese looks like the coconut flakes on the Hostess snowball. The food taste was excellent except the mashed potatoes were cold. Tiramisu was very good too. I rate the food taste five stars but the cold mashed potatoes kind of made my entree not want to eat it when I was there cuz I could only think of making it all hot when I go home. One of the ladies even commented you didn't eat your entree . I told her that the potatoes were really cold and I was going to heat it up at home and besides that I went to a lunch buffet with another family of 25 people that ended at 1:30 and we had an early dinner at 4:30 here at Farmer's table.

Yelp
We hosted our team holiday party here. The atmosphere was lively. Loved the farm/rustic decor with the touch of holiday decor. The specialty drinks to start off the evening were amazing. It just so happened to be 50% off wine bottles as well. We started off by order a Cheese Wheel Pasta for everyone to experience it table side. It was delicious! Surprisingly not too overwhelming or cheesy. Chef's choice for the evening was parpadelle with chicken and mushroom. I ordered and shared the Porterhouse for 2 at market price ($70) it came out on a sizzling plate and full sized broccolini and mashed potatoes. GREAT meal for the price. The two sauces that came with it provided two different tastes depending on your preference. The rest of the team ordered various meals. Spaghetti, Chicken Marsala, Shrimp Fettuccine, & Chilean Sea Bass. EVERYONE ENJOYED THEIR ENTREES!

Yelp
Went out to an early estate sale and wanted something yummy to eat in the area. We decided to go to Farmers table. I must admit I was a bit nervous about finding parking because it can be tricky in that area. They had a parking lot behind the restaurant. I had a chai tea latte with almond milk and Dulche de Leche french toast. It came with an ice cream cone on top with gold flakes. What a great ending to a delicious breakfast.

Yelp
Such a great spot in La Mesa. Brunch is my favorite they have the largest brunch drink menu I have ever seen and the food and drinks are all so creative, unique, and taste amazing. Very large place so if there is a wait it is never long and you can make reservations on Yelp. The alcohol lemonades are a must they are super large and great value. The blueberry pancakes are my favorite, not too sweet. I also got the Mexican Bowl which was eggs, rice, beans, avocado, breakfast potatoes and salsa. Was absolutely amazing. Everything was separated on the plate and you could mix in as much as you want. Great option I would get again. The waffle share platter is massive made for 4-6 people. Wait staff was very friendly and responsive. Music was not too loud it was perfect for conversation. Only down side is none of the restrooms had a changing table.

Yelp
A 3 star, it could have been better. The food presentation appearance looks damn good I must say, like drool worthy. But don't let that decieve you! After taking a bite to the potatoes it was cold, like it was left sitting out. The blueberry pancakes,-sold for the looks, but the taste nope. It taste ok, it's like mixing a store brand pancake mix with water and drizzling it with the blueberries, it was a bit cold. Did not taste fresh. . The eggs and omelette meh, could be better. But the visual appearance of the location is super nice, very clean so 4.5 stars. Lastly, one of their servers had a HICKEY on his neck, it was gross, like how do they make you come to work like that, at least cover it with concealer or tell your other half to pick a non visble spot for customers not to see, it is very unprofessional and not a good brand for Farmers Market employees.

Yelp
This is our second visit here. There is a small parking lot in the back or you can park on the meter street parking. We came for Sunday breakfast 9am. The restaurant was not busy at arrival. The ambiance is "Farmer" rustic casual. Great for all ages. They have a nice selection to choose from for breakfast. I gave 4 stars because the chicken in the Chicken Waffle seemed to me a frozen chicken patty like the ones served in school lunches. I was not a fan. The cappuccino for having "2 shots" was very milky.

Yelp
We had a great brunch the day after Christmas. Our server Lilion D was so attentive and friendly with us and the ambience was nice and calm after Christmas Day. The food options are great-as well as the serving portions. Hubs and I split the chicken and waffles and we both satiated our appetites. It was our second time at this location and I highly recommend it. Thank you to Lilion!

Yelp
We were done Thanksgiving dinner and wanted a nightcap. Popped in and ordered the blackberry lemonade (adult version) and -yummy! The bartender was excellent and eve gave us some samples of a couple of the Fall speciality drinks. The pumpkin martini was good and in the 40 minutes we were there he made at least 8 of them for guests. This is a good place for a drink and the staff is always friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
I loved that there was indoor and outdoor seating and the place feels open. The plates are big enough to share! We ordered the turkey sandwich with a side salad and opted to order an additional side of truffle Parmesan potatoes. I will say that the potatoes tasted more like rosemary than truffle but were still good. Our server was so sweet. Made the experience well rounded. Initially when we got there it wasn't too busy yet but shortly after being seated- it picked up and the place was full. Overall a nice experience.

Yelp
First time here & food was amazing. Won't disappoint. Also customer service was great, thanks to Liliana.

Yelp
Great service from our wonderful waitress Riva as well as delicious food and atmosphere! Riva made some great recommendations and they did not disappoint! We had the new Tijuana Birria omelet and it was everything you could ask for in a savory and filling meal. We also ordered the Chile Verde Omelete which also had well seasoned pork belly a delicious sauce on top. As I was about to have some toast and jam Riva brought out the most delicious fig jam I've ever had, you must ask for it! We were seating in a cozy spot in the back but they had some great seating near the front as well with the bright windows which looked really nice. Overall, everything from beginning to end was wonderful. Thank you Riva for making our experience even better!

Yelp
IM SORRY ITS ME NOT YOU I only like to speak about the goods never the bad because even Mc Donald's has good fries!! Now we had the 3 appetizers 2 entrees 1 dessert... we wanted to try a well rounded amount of food! I won't speak about much else you will have to go here and try it for yourself, one of the issues I have when I eat at places is finding a good medium in which to judge them... I have amazing version over everything we ordered and Farmer's table will not make the line up.(but it's me it's not you) But this dessert that we got Courtesy of YELP when you check in. Now it changes all the time which dessert you get for free, but this strawberry,Lemoncielo mascarpone cheese cake. Was next level! It's like a 5 star chief came in did a guest spot just to make this one dessert I had to stop and thank the food Gods for this one! That's it.... Go at your own risk, don't say I sent you

Yelp
Liliana was stellar !!! 5 star service and food was amazing. We live down the street and been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

Yelp
I had an incredible experience with Cal. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His attention to detail, professionalism, and friendliness made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. They anticipated my needs before I even had to ask and handled everything with efficiency and a great attitude. If you're looking for top-notch service, this server sets the gold standard. I can't recommend them enough and will definitely return for more!
google avatar

Maricar R.

Yelp
Charming place to have brunch with friends and family. The decor and the service is fantastic. Nothing special about the food though. My wife got the pulled pork and the pork was dry. My French toast was good, but it's hard to mess up a French toast.
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Food was delicious! The potatoes are succulent, I'm convinced that when adding truffle oil to any food it ups the game! The service was excellent. Very friendly staff, and fast turnaround. The restaurant spacious which is nice.

Yelp
So, I swung by Farmer's Table not once, but twice - once for breakfast and again for dinner. And let me tell you, both times were pretty darn great. First off, let's talk vibes. The outdoor seating? It's like the cherry on top of a pretty sweet sundae. Sitting out there, soaking up the sun or enjoying the evening breeze, it's just the right vibe for a laid-back meal. Now, onto the grub. Breakfast was a solid win. Every bite was like a little party in my mouth, seriously. And dinner? Oh boy, that pizza was on point! But then there was the pasta. It was good, don't get me wrong, but it was a bit too watery for my liking. I mean, it felt more like slurping soup than twirling pasta. But here's where Farmer's Table really shines - their love for pets. They don't have a dog menu, but they totally hooked up my furry friend with some grilled chicken and a bowl of water. That's some next-level pet-friendly service right there. And let's not forget the drinks. That peach drink, served in that funky mule cup? Pure bliss. Seriously, it's like sipping sunshine. Overall, Farmer's Table is a solid choice for a chill meal. Whether you're there for brekkie, dinner, or just a refreshing drink, you're in for a good time.

Yelp
I don't know if my friends and I came on an "off" day but the service wasn't great. The servers seemed to be annoyed with small request like an extra napkin and utensils and when we did make small request, they took a really long time to bring the item we requested or they forgot. The food was pretty good. I ordered an omelet with potatoes and bread and it was very filling. I'm willing to come back and try it again. Again, it might've just busier than usual and might've been understaffed since it was a holiday weekend.

Yelp
Service with Caleb was awesome! Great food and amazing service. Would highly recommend Farmer's Table
google avatar

Yelp
Caleb gave us excellent service. The chef made gluten free focaccia to go with our caprese and we finished It off with gluten free creme brulee. Happy we live close by!
google avatar

Kimberly G.

Yelp
The food is always incredible, and Caleb made everything feel comfortable and personalized! He made sure my dog felt welcomed and had recommendations in mind for her dinner as well. I came here for thanksgiving and made a point to come back for Christmas because it was so good, and it did not disappoint! 10/10

Yelp
I came here for lunch on a rainy Saturday afternoon so it wasn't too busy and thankfully we were able to snag a spot in the small parking lot in the back of the restaurant. The decor and overall aesthetic is cute. For drinks and food, my group ordered a Manhattan, mimosa, and a mezcal cocktail. The mimosa was warm and our cocktails were okay. For food, I ordered the burger which honestly didn't really taste like anything. I ended up dredging every bite in ketchup. The fries appeared to be regular frozen fries I could get at the grocery store. Our server didn't really check on us and forgot a few things we asked for. Not sure if we should have tried dinner instead but definitely did not experience the hype or quality of the food especially given the price.

Hannah D.

Yelp
Caleb treated us great!! Food was good, service was great. ...

Yelp
We had a nice meal at Farmers Table tonight. The charcuterie is always spectacular. I really enjoyed the figs and the jam. Shout out to Caleb for his excellent service and for bringing the fans to keep away the flies!

Yelp
I want to like this place more & I've given them multiple chances, but it always comes down to slow service. I ordered a calzone & split with my sister, and it was cold/uncooked in the middle, even after waiting 35+ minutes. Unfortunately we simply didn't have time to send it back because we were going to a movie, but that was my first experience. I returned a second time a few months later with my mom for lunch, and we got drinks & split a burger, which were fine. However, we didn't get our drinks until well after our food arrived & were almost done. I understand staff & being understaffed is hard, but they are consistently lacking in this area.

Yelp
everything was sooo good! HYPES: our server was phenomenal! i tried the chicken marsala and it was 5 stars! easy. the flavor, the texture, everything was incredible! even my glass of wine was top notch! GRIPES: a little on the pricy side, but so good and well worth it!

Joselyn Y.

Yelp
I went on a weekday at 11am and was seated right away. The staff were attentive and kind. I appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant and overall atmosphere. I enjoyed the avocado toast and chai latte, I would love to come back again!

Yelp
My initial review was met with a response from the restaurant immediately. They were willing to accept the critical review with a " how can we rectify your experience" take. They offered a complimentary Chefs tasting at my convenience. This quickly became a complimentary tasting of my liking upon seating anywhere that suited me. Upon my 5 o'clock reservation of one, I had the entire dining room to myself as people in general eat so late in my opinion. This made for a more relaxed and quiet meal as the background noise level can be off putting when this establishment is full of diners. So, I was won over by the mere fact that farmers table went out of their way to make things right from a service standpoint. I merely followed through to see if the food would be better. It's the food at restaurants that keeps them in business. Service and ambiance are secondary. With that in mind here's what I had. Drink: red sangria. Very drinkable and a very full glass pour compared to a wine pour. 4 stars Appetizer: pork belly with confit potatoes A very tasty appetizer. Potatoes crunchy and soft. Pork belly seasoned well and tender. The leek emulsion I think was missing and the Jalisco sauce was a brown savory sweet sauce but unknown as to what is in Jalisco sauce. It tasted like tamarind combined with raisin puree. 4 stars Main course: sea bass with lemon caper butter. When it arrived I can smell a slight fishy mess which is a red flag. However, upon tasting it, I tasted no fishyness at all. The fish was cooked perfectly and the lemon caper butter was briny and rich. The pink hue of the potato and beet mash was unexpected and interesting to see. It tasted good though as with each bite included that lemon caper butter sauce too. 4 stars solid Thanks to Uros, the server, he was very attentive and Alejandra, the manager, was very accommodating making for a great experience. Overall, I'd comeback again as I can tell management cares about the patron experience.

Yelp
Nice spot for a brunch pitstop on a roadtrip from Mexico north. Easy to make reservations online en route. Surprisingly there was no wait on a Sunday, though parking required a bit of a walk. Seemed like a popular spot among the locals and we were just happy to get out of our car to stretch our legs and enjoy fine meals. My chile relleno omelet sounded better than it tasted and though I left full and satisfied, I would opt for something else if in the area. Others in my party enjoyed their meals but had leftovers to spare. The chilaquiles were yummy but incorrectly titled given that the flavors matched more closely another chile. The burger was enjoyed with no complaints. The iced Mexican mocha was a sweet treat. My only real complaint was the flies! I can appreciate the indoor/outdoor flow but I noticed other tables were given fly fans and my table did not so would only request attention there.

Yelp
Came across Farmer's Table while in the area and it blew my mind. This was hands down one of the coolest restaurants I have been to with outstanding and reasonably priced food plus excellent service! The inside and outside dining areas are beautifully decorated, and this place definitely has some great vibes. My coworker's Pecan Crusted Chicken Sandwich didn't disappoint and my Prosciutto Flatbread was one of the tastiest pies I've ever had. I'll be back. Enjoy and Bon Appétit.

Yelp
Delicious steak sandwich! I definitely recommend it! I love the Customer Service here! Ambience is nice and relaxing not too loud. This restaurant is located in downtown La Mesa so there's plenty of street parking. I will definitely be coming back and trying the rest of their menu!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was amazing and the ambience top notch. But the real highlight was the service, caleb was our server and he was wonderful! 10/10! He was knowledgeable and quick. He made sure all our food and drinks arrived quickly as we were famished when we arrived and made sure to pace our meal so we could savor every bite but were never left wanting. Highly recommend and ask to sit in Caleb's section!

Christine R.

Yelp
The service was excellent. I ordered the Farmer salad with grilled chicken on top and it was delicious. The only improvement would be to offer organic options. Other than that, I will return. The ambience was warm and welcoming. I went there for a business lunch and it was ideal.

Regine A.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a Sunday. It was good, not great. I ordered the egg sandwich. The candied bacon was super good, so was the sourdough. I wish my potatoes were crispier. The Mexican mocha is good! Not too sweet. My cousins ordered the steak sandwich. There wasn't a lot of steak, but had a lot of everything else in the sandwich. My cousin also asked for well done fries. They did not make them the way she requested. Service was ok for a busy morning. I think their lunch or dinner menu might be better.. I might come back and update this review. Ambiance is loud and family friendly. Seating outdoor and indoor is available. I strongly recommend making a reservation through the open table app.

Yelp
Delicious food. Small portions for prices. Stunning service from Diego the bartender. Cheap owner that doesn't turn the heater on, it's Freezing in here!!!! Layer up.

Yelp
Found this place on yelp with decent reviews so we came in with high expectations. I ordered the blueberry pancakes and a side of potatoes which was the best thing from all our orders. Friend who ordered an omelette with no mushrooms came with them which he just pushed aside so it was alright. Other friend ordered the vegan bowl that didn't come with avocado like in the description and had to ask the waitress for it. If you order a coffee with an alternative milk be aware the upcharge was $3.05 which is insane!! We ordered 2 mexican mochas which was supposed to be $5.95 and we ended up paying $9 each. Place was decorated nicely but there are yummier and cheaper spots, don't think we'll be coming back.

This place is great! The food, service and atmosphere....always pleasant. There tends to be a wait when requesting a table, we usually sit at the bar on the outside. Servers back there are great! The food is fresh and tasty! Recently we tried the ricotta and spinach pizza. By far my favorite food item! Their sangria is delicious! Always excited to return!

Yelp
Bright, airy restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating! Nice trendy restaurant in La Mesa! We went for brunch with a nice menu selection of salads, pizzas and breakfast items! My sister in law had the Carnitas Benedict which looked delicious! Our nephew has the Blueberry Pancakes! 3 nice plate size fluffy pancakes covered with fresh blackberry sauce and a huge serving of whipped cream! My husband had the Breakfast Burger with 100% Angus beef, bacon, cheddar cheese, argues fried over easy egg on a brioche bun! I had chosen the Farmers Pizza. Their imported Stefano Ferrari oven creates Italian Pizza with a delicate thin crispy crust with wood fire edges which was very nice especially since I usually do not like the crust! The pizza had fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, ham, artichoke hearts with mushrooms and olives, very generous toppings to completely cover the pizza and every slice and bite! Would come back again when visiting San Diego!

Yelp
The food is always amazing. Never had a bad entree there in over 10 times. The service is fast and friendly and it's easy to find parking near the restaurant. The coffee is amazing. .

Yelp
Finally came here again after a not so good first experience. I'd have to say this second experience was much better. Came here for a birthday brunch for a friend's birthday. Service was really good this time and the food was good as well. Both my husband and I ordered the divorciados and we enjoyed the dish overall. It may seem heavy and overwhelming for some but the flavors were there and I cleaned the plate empty. I also ordered a zero proof drink, Spice Things Up, and it was just okay. It didn't have much flavor to it. The water cups did have a fishy smell and the water was off so I didn't drink too much of my water cup. Nevertheless, I would consider coming back again.

Yelp
I recently went to farmers table and we had a bit of a mixed experience. We tried the pizza, and it was just okay. Honestly, it had way too much meat, which kind of drowned out the other flavors. We also had the chicken salad and that was really good. On the bright side, the kids chicken and pancakes were a hit. They were cooked perfectly, and my cousins kids loved them. It's always a win when the kids are happy with their meal! The biggest downside was the seating. They put us in a corner, and it felt pretty lonely and isolated. It wasn't the most welcoming spot. Overall, the food had its good moments, but the ambiance could use some work to make it feel more inviting.

Yelp
Ahhhh if I could give this place 10 stars, I would. The food is to die for! So fresh and always so delicious. The service is great and I think you'll be happy with whatever you order on the menu. Truly one of my favorite places to eat breakfast in San Diego. If you visit, I'd recommend sitting outside on their beautiful patio. This place is in the heart of downtown La Mesa and is truly a hidden gem!

Yelp
First time here, tried their brunch on the weekend. It was really busy so no tables were open. We decided to sit at the bar which had seat Service at the bar was attentive but sadly my food and my coffee drink missed the mark. Coffee - I asked the server if the latte came with two shots and he said he could make it with two shots. It wasn't clear to me that the second shot would be $2.50 when the bill came. I asked the server about this when the check came, because he didn't communicate this at time of my ordering it nor was it on the menu anywhere. $2.50 for an extra espresso shot?! Yikes. Latte came out watered down and not worth $6.50 in total. Food- ordered the short rib Benedict. Egg was poached well but there was too much hollandaise. Polenta to short rib and egg ratio was off. Bummer for brunch.

Yelp
Cute decor, but small, crowded tables and space in between to get around.. server was a delight tho. She knew the whole menu and chatted up some history about the restaurant story, so it was kinda cool.. Food was okay, nothing extra special or out of the ordinary. Bloody Mary was decent for being considered "loaded"...but again, nothing special, bacon was too hard too..
