Farmhouse Inn

Farmhouse Inn is THE place to stay in Tellico Plains! Laura was an amazing host, from the moment we arrived (soaked after a day riding in the rain), she provided everything we could have asked for. The rooms are great, comfortable beds and great atmosphere. The next morning we got a home cooked breakfast, I can’t describe how delicious it was. I highly recommend a stay here if you are in town!

A friend and I stayed a night at Kyle and Laura Kirschenmann's Farmhouse Inn in May 2025 while riding motorcycles on the South East Backcountry Discovery Route. The accommodations, food, hospitality and conversation were all awesome. And Kyle was nice enough to help us the next morning when my friend got a flat rear tire on his motorcycle about 10 miles from the B&B. Will definitely stay there the next time I'm in that area.

Wow is all I can say. The Farmhouse Inn is awesome. I am so happy I picked this place to stay. Laura, Kyle and even Roger were awesome hosts, and I could not have enjoyed my stay there anymore than I did. Beautiful inside and out and very clean and homey. I felt so welcome from the minute I walked in the door and never have I stayed anywhere in all my life traveling where I enjoyed myself immensely. Everything about the Inn is wonderful and beautiful. Felt like home. My room was so very cozy and comfortable and was always so clean, peaceful and quiet. Laura is an awesome cook and prepared breakfast everyday for us and even accommodated my "gluten intolerance" problem and made sure that I did not have anything with gluten in it. I really enjoyed the fact that she hung around and shared stories with us during breakfast. Both Laura and Kyle were always so gracious and very kind. I really didn't want to leave. My first time to Tellico Plains and I will never stay anywhere else but the Farmhouse Inn when I visit Tellico Plains. I also really enjoyed the game room that was over the garage. Kyle has such an awesome collection of memorabilia. The front porch patio was so relaxing and enjoyable. Very beautiful and peaceful. Thank you so much Laura and Kyle. Can't wait to come back in September for another memorable vacation. Best wishes to you both and to Roger. Loved that cat.

The Farmhouse Inn is great - an awesome historic restored home. Laura is very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are quaint and very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect. Great BnB stay!

I felt like home as soon as I got here. Laura let use get in early. The beds are so comfortable pillows were comfortable very clean. The breakfast is delicious. I love that they are family oriented. The owners ate breakfast and chitchatted with us. Kyle mapped out some routs for us to go riding beautiful scenery. We got to wash the bikes down before loading them back up. Laura all so gave us towels to try the bikes. They are very very nice people. Always making sure we are ok. We had clean room and clean towels every day. The shower had great pressure great hot water. Very clean very clean. I am already planing on coming back next year. This is better than staying at Air BnB. This place is Wonderful.

Beautiful place to stay and highly recommended. Incredibly friendly hosts with amazing bedrooms/showers/lounge area. Also great laundry service and a chance to play pool and darts. I got to meet the beautiful cat named Roger. Such a memorable stay. Myself and my three friends were hiking the Benton Mackaye trail and we were welcomed with such kindness. Thank you Laura for a wonderful experience. 😎

Mark and I had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Farmhouse Inn over the holiday weekend. The B&B was one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in and Laura’s breakfasts were beautiful as well as delicious. You can tell that the owners have put much thought into the rooms —from the fluffy white towels, well placed hangers for bikers clothes, comfortable beds and bedding, good toilet paper (lol) and I could go on and on! We also loved sitting on the front porch and playing with their precious pups and cat, Roger. They were so sweet and well behaved. Laura was available for our every need. We visit this area multiple times a year on our bike and are looking forward to staying here again very soon!

My wife and I just spent 8 nights at the Farmhouse Inn while she was convalescing from surgery, and to explore the area as a possible retirement location. ||Laura immediately made us feel right at home, and she was extremely helpful in suggesting areas and sights to see during our stay. The Farmhouse Inn is very comfortable with large rooms (we stayed in the Sophie), and with much more character than we could ever hope for from a corporate hotel. Everything is spotless, and it was impressive to see Laura’s energy and work ethic as she attended to all the guests while running the business almost single-handedly. ||There are plenty of books, magazines, travel brochures, and maps available to peruse, and a game room above the garage (which we did not check out). The local visitor’s center is a quick walk down the street, with lots of information on local attractions. ||Laura was exceedingly accommodating, from making sure we had plenty of supplies to creating delicious breakfasts around our dietary needs. Aside from Laura’s excellent breakfasts there aren’t many dining options available in Tellico Plains, but we highly recommend the Tellicafe for the good food at good prices, and amazingly friendly service. ||Kman is an avid motorcyclist, so it was fun talking to him about motorcycles and local rides. ||My wife and I are dog lovers, so we also enjoyed having Ellie and Sydney around to play with.||Cell phone service is spotty at best in the area (we have ATT), so it was nice having Wi-Fi available at the inn so we could catch up on the news and check our emails while we were there. And we were able to do wash while we were there, which was a huge bonus!||We highly recommend the Farmhouse Inn and would not hesitate to stay there again.||Greg and Theresa

Top Ten B&B! Never mind the cute, clean and quiet rooms; the comfy bed; the "parlor" with TV, books, tourist info; or the wide porch perfect for an evening cocktail. The five stars go straight to the hosts, Laura and Kyle, (and their sidekicks, Ellie and Sidney), who are friendly, gracious and there to anticipate your every need and answer all your questions. Extra stars for location...the Farmhouse Inn is perfect for exploring all the area has to offer. Walk to historic downtown Tellico Plains; drive the skyway; hike up to Whig Meadow on the Benton MacKaye Trail. I'll call the Farmhouse Inn first any time I'm in the area.

Kyle and Laura were amazing. It was a very quiet, clean, organized place to stay for my wife and I and our three duaghters. Breakfast was great! They have thought of every detail here without sacrificing simplicity. One of the great parts for us was no masks and our girls loved the dogs and cat. Well done!

Awesome bed and breakfast in a beautiful little town! My husband and I wanted to visit The Lost Sea Caverns and found the Farmhouse Inn on Yelp. The owners were super friendly and very hospitable. The Inn was remarkably clean, extremely quiet and really peaceful. There's a game room above the garage for guests to use, but we were happy just playing some cards and watching the Olympics in the downstairs living room. I also love how the Inn uses locally made soap in the bathroom and locally made pottery for the coffee mugs. We even bought a mug for a souvenir. :) Don't forget to see the beautiful waterfalls just a few miles away! It's worth the drive. We will definitely be back to the area just to stay here again!

If you are looking for a bed & breakfast . You will love the Farm House Inn . Our room was spacious and quaint and nice and quiet . We stay well visiting friends and had a great time. Breakfast was out of this world , Laura made french toast with cinnamon and pecans.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! So much so that we've already booked a room for next year. The area is a great site for motorcyclists and bicyclists alike! The owners of the house, Kyle and Laura, were wonderful hosts. They told us about all of the highlights in the area and were wonderful company. The house was recently renovated and was beautiful! The rooms were spacious and comfortable. They also have a game room (pool table and all) above the garage. On top of it all, Laura was also a marvelous cook. She made us a delicious french toast casserole for breakfast. I highly recommend this B&B anyone who wants to see the sights or just relax in the countryside.
