New Sunday brunch menu was great and large serving sizes. Marlee was a great behind the bar and was sweet helping us make our food choices. We will definitely be back. If you haven't tried this place you need to go.

Google
The young lady that greeted us was so sweet. She was super knowledgeable, helpful warm and bubbly. Madison. She suggested the brisket Mac and cheese and it was positively AMAZING! She wasn't our server, but we would recommend her to all who visit this place! The rest of the food was very good too. We will be back!

Michael J.

Google
I had the crab cake special taco, another special with Mac and cheese and the fish taco. My wife had a ground beef, brisket and avocado tacos. They were all delicious. Wife's favorite was the brisket. Isaac was an excellent server. Great atmosphere. Excellent drinks- the watermelon margarita was perfect.

Google
Outstanding Service & Delicious Food! We had an amazing experience at Farmhouse Tacos in Traveler’s Rest, and a big part of that was thanks to our server, Davidson. From the moment we were seated, Davidson made us feel welcomed and taken care of. His timing was perfect, his recommendations were spot-on, and his attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and his friendly personality really added to the atmosphere. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—but Davidson's service made the whole experience next-level. If you're heading to Farmhouse Tacos, ask for Davidson—you won’t be disappointed. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
Tacos were amazing. Fried green tomatoes were some of the best we have ever had!! Margarita was delicious. Cute little restaurant. Food took a little long to arrive after ordering but we enjoyed that time to socialize with our table.

Mackenzie B.

Google
Natalie is a wonderful server! I highly recommend you ask for her. The food is wonderful. I had the fried green tomatoes and two avocado tacos!! The margaritas are also great. I had the strawberry and southern margarita. The atmosphere is great.

Google
Great taco place! Love the variety of food options and atmosphere! The Avocado Taco was off the chain! Look forward to coming back and trying more tacos!!🌮

Google
We had a family of 8 (5 adults, 3 young children). The hostess staff was extremely accommodating and was able to seat us outside. Our waitress (I believe her name is Natalie) was fantastic. She was very attentive, made a couple of recommendations, and was just all in all a pleasant person. We have quesadillas, tacos, and nachos, with all being quite good. The Apple Cider Marg was outstanding. A great experience!

Yelp
Quick stop for lunch. As always, the food is delicious and the service is excellent! I chose a chicken wrap & husband ordered the salad with shrimp.

Yelp
Asked ChatGPT for a wonderful, casual dinner spot in Travelers Rest because I'm a pet sitter and not from this area. First of all, the building presentation and inside decor - wonderful!! I can imagine this is the spot in the nice weather months. Killer patio and those big roll up doors are such a great vibe. The server was just as fantastic as she could be! Friendly and knowledgeable- offered recommendations because she asked if it was our first time there. 10/10 for customer service (very important to me!) Lastly, but definitely not least --- the food. The special tonight was a teriyaki chicken taco and I ordered one to try and then proceeded to eat 2 more. We also tried the cod fish farmhouse taco. Every single item we had was delightful and we already cannot wait until we're pet sitting in the area again. We will gladly come back - with our elastic waistband pantalones

Yelp
In a search for mind blowing tacos, one must travel and bee willing to take a few chances. Of course we're talking locally owned and not a franchise taco. With that being said, whilst in Travelers Rest, SC, a newly transplanted friend took me to her favorite eatery in town, which happened to be a taco place. I so wish I had taken more photos inside because the decor was simple yet inviting. It was a comfortable atmosphere. As you will notice from the only pic I took, their food is all sourced from farms in close proximity to them. This always gives me reason to frequent a business. Our server was only in her second week there but she already was loving it and proudly recommended the food, all of it. They have a wide array of margarita choices and it's quite a value during happy hour which unfortunately we had missed. Next time!!!! Nonetheless, I still had a large one. My friend and I both ordered the brisket tacos with slaw and fried jalapenos. Nothing skimpy served here. I ordered two and I believe one would have been more than enough. Many thanks to my dear friend Lisa for bringing us to this gem. It's definitely on my list on any return visit to the area.

Yelp
$36 for a large margarita. They call it an "xtra large", but it's the same size as a large at any Mexican restaurant. The tacos are fine, not amazing, but fine, But their drink prices are insane.
google avatar

Ivy D.

Yelp
Cute restaurant in a great area to walk around and enjoy the town. We ordered four tacos which were good. We didn't have a wait time to be seated however waited a long time to eat.
google avatar

Cara E.

Yelp
We love their tacos. We come here every time we take a trip to the mountains. Their pineapple jalapeño margaritas are amazing. Make sure and try one!!!
google avatar

Brynt L.

Yelp
Enjoyed my recent visit to Farmhouse. We sat at the bar and had great attentive service. The pitcher of margaritas was tasty and they even muffled some jalapeños for me to make it spicy. The nachos had great presentation, and tasted pretty good. Overall, solid option in the downtown travelers rest area.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best taco places I've eaten in a while. The food was awesome from the sampler , queso is uniquely delicious and the brisket taco is amazing. The key lime pie in a glass is a creative display and is really good. Makayla our server was amazing... the best! I'm coming back here!!! One of the best salsa offerings I've had in the country!!!

Bethanie T.

Yelp
The website promotes Vegan Friendly but only serves tallo tortilla chips. There are not vegan options here and presents false advertising in this area of vegan options

Yelp
I tried Farmhouse Tacos (FT) for the first time, and was super impressed. The place was clean, and well decorated. We were greeted and seated fairly quickly. I got the burrito bowl with ancho chicken and it was a ton of food- a good 3 meals worth, and very fresh. I thought it was absolutely delish. My friend got the avocado tacos with black beans, and that looked really good too, and she loved it. Looking forward to coming back!
google avatar

Kathy T.

Yelp
This was my second trip to Farmhouse Tacos. My first trip I enjoyed the spicy egg rolls. I also tried the queso, guacamole, and brisket taco. Everything was fresh and delish!6 So on my second trip from Anderson to Travelers Rest I ordered the Spicy egg rolls again and then I ordered the burrito bowl. That is enough for two but over two days I ate the whole thing with Texas Mole. It was so good both days. Of course I got a margarita! Service was awesome and the owners have a Savy Business sense. So check them out.....awesome adventure!

Christina P.

Yelp
Great service but the food was just some alright. The spicy shrimp taco was the best.

Yelp
This was our first experience with Farmhouse Tacos. We were thrilled with the outstanding service and tasty food & beverages! We will definitely return. Thanks!

Yelp
Enjoyable tacos, solid Mexican ashtray, good atmosphere, and to our waiter friend, that's a bingo!

Mary S.

Yelp
So delicious and different. Loved the brisket taco and the crab cake taco. Didn't love the tortilla chips but would return for the tacos.

Jacob M.

Yelp
Food was nice and pricey. $5-8 per taco! Guacamole wasn't the best, very limey. Great lunch atmosphere with tvs, music playing over the resturant. Service was typical with nothing special. Overall, a good time.

Carrie W.

Yelp
Great food and we've generally always loved coming here. The service is usually great, too! Just an FYI, they close at 8:00 on Sundays. We walked in a little before 7:40 one evening and the hostess wouldn't seat us. (She said they were closing too soon and wasn't very nice about it.) I'd say she was an outlier, though. Most of the time the hostesses are pleasant and they've also been happy to serve us, even half an hour before they close. Overall this is a good place to eat in TR.
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
The fish tacos were phenomenal! Everything was outstanding except the salsa but to be fair, I judge salsa pretty harshly. A salsa snob, if you will. We will absolutely be back. Service, food, and atmosphere were top notch. The employees were attentive and polite. I never ran out of tea. I'd attach a pic but we ate it all.

Jessica W.

Yelp
S.L.O.W! Nice waitress - food mid We wanted to walk out, but refrained. We won't be returning.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
Just because you're in a good spot, it doesn't mean you're a good restaurant. Nashville Hot tacos were not hot or dressed, very bland. Still waiting on the server to bring napkins. I'll hang outside and have some beers here but I won't be eating any more food.
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Friday night. I thought the ambience was a bit loud but very inviting and with their side doors opened it kept it cool and casual. The waitress we had was super sweet and was very attentive, making sure we always had more drinks if we wanted or needed them. I ordered the egg roll appetizer (really good side of crema with this), a beef taco, and a steak special taco. Super flavorful, not spicy but tasted really good. Also ordered chips and salsa for the table and I really enjoyed their salsa - more smoky and had a bit of kick to it. I also ordered churros for dessert - so crispy and fluffy! - and their cookie butter cheesecake special. If you think of it more as a cookie butter pie I think you'll love it.

Connor K.

Yelp
Prime time steak fajita quesadilla couldn't ask for anything better. In dire need of coasters

Yelp
I really enjoyed our experience at Farmhouse Tacos. The service was OK, but as most of us know, the restaurant business has suffered sense the pandemic. Not bad service just a little slow. But the food makes up for everything.. fresh, innovative and slap your mama good! I absolutely love the burrito bowl Ambience is family, friendly and kid friendly, a little on the noisy side but there's a beautiful outdoor patio if you're so inclined

zachary M.

Yelp
This place has a nice interior and good beer but that's about where I'd stop. Overpriced nonsense. I got 3 tacos with corn tortillas. All of them not cooked enough and the tortillas were a dry crumbly mess. A taco place......that can't properly heat a corn tortilla. Wild Also, an 8 dollar birria taco?! It's not even real biriani. It's like.....pot roast. Then they don't even dip the tortilla in the consommé. You can go to your local Mexican taco truck and get amazing, legit tacos for half of what'd you spend.

Joelene H.

Yelp
The vibe at farmhouse taco is really cute. Inside they had long church pews to sit in at the booth. We ate for an appetizer the spicy steak and cheese eggrolls, which were delicious and came with a spicy ranch type of sauce to dip in. We liked it so much that we put it on the Romaine lettuce that the eggrolls came on as well. If you like corn tortillas, dusted with salt as your chip this is the place for you as well. They had good red salsa to go with the chips. We got two tacos, each with one side. The sides were delicious. The poblano corn chowder had such depth to it and a nice layer of the chili pepper without it being overwhelming, but seasoned perfectly, the macaroni and cheese, which you get at most restaurants is bland with no flavor, was actually very creamy and tasty and you could also taste the poblano in it as well. We are very pleased with both sides. The staff was great and I had a delicious ginger beer and my friend had a sweet iced tea.

Dan P.

Yelp
Went to Farmhouse Taco Tuesday night with friends. Tacos, burritos and big burrito bowls were ordered. Everyone liked the food. I thought the shrimp and tuna tacos were delicious. Draft beer was very good. Service was not great. However the chips and salsa were awful. Just avoid worst chips ever in a restaurant.

Nannette C.

Yelp
Life is short. Eat a lot of tacos at Farmhouse Tacos in Travelers Rest. We hope your server is Mateo. Mateo makes the delicious tacos even better because he is kind, fun, and an amazing person! Wow! From two curious taco loving kids and their Yaya, Nana and "dragon".

Kelly M.

Yelp
They served one member at our party a margarita with no tequila in it, and when we asked the server about it the manager came out and explained that one came with no alcohol, even though the menu clearly said it did and insisted we were wrong. The food is also okay, but can find equal/better American taco options in the area. The other margaritas had a lot of pulp in them for flavoring which was interesting and felt more like drinking a smoothie. Guac and queso was very good, tacos decent.

Yelp
Awful experience. Hostess was rude and unkind. We sat outside and waited on service for 20 minutes. Finally went inside to ask for help and all of the servers and hostess were standing around talking to each other. Hostess seems irritated when I asked if we were going to get service. I then decided it was probably not a good idea to eat here considering the lack of service, bad attitude, trash everywhere outside and dirty tables with old plates around us. Will not be back.
google avatar

Steph A.

Yelp
The chips and guacamole was amazing. Didn't really care for the quesadilla or the chicken and shrimp taco. It was a nice place to sit outside I enjoyed watching sunset while eating. They technically didn't have space for us but they squeezed us which we appreciate after a long day of travel.

Yelp
Brisket taco - flavorful meat, generous portion, crispy jalapeños Tuna taco - raw tuna, lacked spice Chips and salsa - made fresh. Ik many don't like spice but the salsa tasted like tomato juice The tortillas were just like you went to the grocery store and got flour tortillas. No toast or anything on them.

R J.

Yelp
First the good: service was above average Now for the not so good: large Margaritas ordered and we received overly sweet lemony juice with little to no alcohol in the drinks The tacos were mostly a small tortilla with a very small amount of the ingredients on top. Very lacking in the flavor. Had potential. The burrito bowl had a skimpy amount of protein even though it was an up charge to add. Tasted like several day old rice and / or overcooked. . Don't recommend and wouldn't return. Very overpriced lunch for what we received.

Yelp
Street tacos were okay, but nothing to write home about. Might've just been the ones I got. One of the tacos was different from what I ordered (picked the Alabama but got an avocado instead, so probably just misheard me). Because of the long wait on the food, I just ate it and didn't bother to mention it. But I'm sure if I did, the server would have made it right, she seemed very nice. There is some outdoor seating, which was great for a pretty day, but it gets tight on the side there by an exit door. When they brought out all the plates of food, one person in our party got bumped into with a tray. If you go on the weekend, be prepared for a VERY long wait on food. Not an ideal spot if you're dining with little ones, but I could see it being a fun date spot.

Yelp
The best Mexican restaurant in Travelers Rest. Great food and drinks. Great vibes. We enjoyed this restaurant and will be back.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! Tried a few tacos, All different tastes and flavors! Get in here and have a few! Highly recommended ...WOW!!!

Nick J.

Yelp
Tried a burrito bowl again, this place is awful! Frozen food for sure, and the staff is rude and disrespectful! This place deserves to be out of business, and the owner should be ashamed! If I could get 1 genie wish, it would be for this place to go under! Screw this place and it's horrible food and service! I hate yall!

John M.

Yelp
Incredible service with Natalie and the food was fantastic! Best nachos I ever had!!! Looking forward to return as was the first time experiencing....

Yelp
We came for Taco Tuesday. Have you ever been to a place where the taco Tuesday special is for one taco on the menu? What a slap in the face to the honored national tradition of taco Tuesday. Anyway, I ordered 3 tacos: the chorizo special, the Alabama white, and the sweet chili shrimp. The shrimp was the best of the bunch, but the bar was lower than public approval of our current political climate. The pork shoulder on the Alabama white taco was so dry I could have used it as 150 grit sandpaper. Also, I'm not from Bama but I'm pretty sure that sauce is supposed to kick. Lastly, the chorizo tasted like some awful chili I'd win "worst-in-show" for at my church's chili cook off. The service was alright and the place looked clean, but neither of those things can overcome the mediocre food.

Gary B.

Yelp
My wife had a tuna plate appetizer and it was large enough to be an entree. I had the smoked brisket quesialla and Mexican corn on the Cobb. The food was amazing. Davidson was our server. He did a great job of explaining the menu and taking care of us. We will definitely be back. Oh, I forgot the patio is dog-friendly.

Caitlin G.

Yelp
Davidson was a great server! Very attentive to a large group. Had refills before asking

Michael H.

Yelp
Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!!! Wonderful atmosphere and service, very cool experience. The food is to die for. Fresh and delicious, I'm coming back!!!

Jen S.

Yelp
Farmhouse is a good staple within TR. The food is consistent and the service is good. We recommend the loaded taquitos. They are great to share as an app or good for a main.
google avatar

Marika D.

Yelp
Great food and great people. Carter was an excellent server. So attentive and fun. Keith checked in on us a couple of times which was super nice. Highly recommend this place.

Cathi M.

Yelp
Dropped in for a late Wed afternoon after ride eats (happened to be Valentine's Day). We always enjoy their tacos. And are waiting was fast & attentive. This tuna taco dish was a special appetizer on the day. It was so delicious! Hope they consider adding to the menu.

H G.

Yelp
Minimal menu, almost an hour wait on food. Extremely slow service and sub par food. I ordered the Old Fashioned Mexican Pizza. My order came as pictured. Presentation was mid, the ground beef had burn marks on it and if it was seasoned, I could not tell. The tortillas were completely overcooked. The salsa on top legitimately tasted like tomato sauce and was not very well complimented by the tomatoes it was topped with. I will say, however, the vegetables on the food did taste fresh which was nice. However this doesn't make up for how the whole dish lacked any kind of distinct flavor. The menu, I noticed, was very seafood and chicken oriented. Not a lot of steak/ground beef options. Much of the menu also had strange combinations of food. (Coleslaw on a taco with bbq sauce?? Interesting.) I think everything was priced a bit high for what it was. $5 tacos can be pictured at the very top. Also, chips and dip do NOT come complimentary with the table which is a normal staple of these kinds of restaurants. Be ready to pay extra for this as well as an up charge on hot sauce for your plate. Our server was very sweet and I appreciated her kindness. The overall atmosphere of the place could be better. You would think for a taco joint that the place would have any kind of Hispanic style but most of the decor was themed for the Rabbit Trail, like very other place on the Downtown TR strip. Music playing through the place consisted of only 70s-80s rock. If that's your thing, than more to you. The place falls into the same touristy vibe that everywhere else in TR is victim to. If you're looking for quality Mexican food, you'd be better off spending your money else where. But if you prefer a gentrified eating experience, then this is the place to be.

Sarah F.

Yelp
We came in tonight because the whole town is without power and we needed to get out of the house! Natalie was our server and she was fantastic! Attentive, friendly, and happy to serve! Food was great, too. It's nice when a restaurant does well on an average day but it makes a huge difference when they provide great service under difficult circumstances. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We had an absolute blast eating at Farmhouse Tacos! The location was a bit busy for lunchtime, but service was still very quick and friendly. Of course you know we started with queso and chips. The queso is really good, it has some Cholula (hot sauce) on top foe you to mix in, to give a little kick, but if you don't like spice, it's not overwhelming at all. For entrees we got a handful of tacos. Two ancho chicken, one chipotle bbq chicken, one crab cake taco, and last but not least one chili rubbed tuna. Let's start with big tuna.... DELICIOUS! It was recommended by our waitress, and we were hesitant at first bc we've never had rare tuna, but it was so good! The spice blend with the avocado was just heavenly. The chicken tacos were also really good (chicken smoked and pulled in house), and Kelsay really enjoyed the crab cake taco. It's very easy to say, yeah everything is good and just sort of mean it... but seriously, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on this menu. So looking forward to coming back to try the other tacos and quesadillas!
