The 20 Best Restaurants In Rome 2024 - Rome - The Infatuation

"When it comes to coffee, the team of baristas at Faro Rome, a third-wave coffee spot near the Villa Borghese, are a serious bunch—they’ll ask you to try your cup without adding any sugar, and the pour over, made with an Aeropress or V60, doesn’t even come with milk. For early risers (which means 8am in Rome), there are savory breakfast plates like eggs, grilled sandwiches, and maritozzi, classic Roman cream-filled pastries." - Gillian Mcguire, Team Infatuation

Came across this place checking the cafes nearby our hotel - and this place just hit the spot. A true gem! After i tasted their coffee and baked goods i did not want to try anything else anywhere. We stopped by for breakfast and brunch every day of our trip. They serve fantastic and authentic coffee and even educate you about it. I tried 3 different blends they offered & they were all top notch. The waiters were super nice and polite too. Prices vary depending on whether you grab&go or sit and get table service. If you order a coffee and a baked good with service, it’ll likely be around 10–12 euros minimum — worth it tho. There can be a line out front during rush hours so keep in mind. Don’t forget to grab their business card (its real cute) and coffee blend info cards as souvenirs!!! Jul 2025

We had a wonderful experience at this café. Everything was absolutely perfect — from the cozy and relaxing atmosphere to the excellent food. We tried both savory and sweet dishes, and everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The coffee was great, and the overall vibe of the place made us feel very comfortable. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made our visit even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this café and would love to come back again.

I visited Faro – Caffè Specialty in Rome and it truly felt like a coffee lover’s paradise; the moment I walked in, I could tell they take their craft seriously with an impressive selection of beans and different brewing methods beyond the usual espresso. I tried a flat white along with one of their freshly baked croissants, and both were excellent—the coffee was smooth, balanced, and aromatic, while the pastry was buttery and delicate. The place has a modern, minimalist vibe that feels a bit different from the typical Roman café, and it was buzzing with energy when I went, which added to the charm though it did get a little crowded. Prices are a bit higher than average, but the quality makes up for it, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, taking time to explain the beans and brewing styles. Overall, it was one of the best coffee experiences I had in Rome and definitely worth a visit if you enjoy specialty coffee

Google
Faro is a delightful blip for specialty coffee and whole foods in a young, peaceful slice of Rome. I didn’t have a chance to taste their pastries, but the egg-centered lunch menu was perfectly nutritiously rounded and simultaneously indulgent. The service is well-informed, communicative, and attentive. They explained the menu extremely well and served my lunch hot and quickly—explaining all the questions that I had. Admittedly, the pricing could be better. Personally I found it to be a worthwhile splurge, but if you are not in the mood for richness, skip lunch and simply come here for the coffee—I doubt you’ll regret it. P.S. They’re serious about this no laptops thing!

Google
We have visited this place so many times during our stays in Rome. Each time we were more than satisfied - perfect specialty coffee, always good choice of single origins, great food and sweets, even those based od roman tradition (marizzotto, maricordo etc.). And the most important thing - all the stuff is kind, perfectly organized, even when it's extremly crowded during weekend brunch time, they all try really hard to find you a table. So, don't give up if you see the line. And enjoy!

Google
By coincidence, I discovered this caffe in my last visit to Rome when I was hanging around the streets of Rome and loved it! The best thing with it is that you can sit outside tables and watch the neighborhood while you are drinking your coffee! They do have quite nice coffee beans and Italian desserts like tiramisu! It was my favourite I should say. I enjoyed also the company of the staff, they were so kind and social with customers. Definitelt suggested for a niche taste and quality time!

What a way to start our day. This was our last meal in the city right before we headed out to the Tuscan area. Conveniently located in a quieter part of town, they happen to be less than a five minute walk away from our apartment. We got our rental car first then walked over her for a bite before we had to meet the person dropping off our rental at a hotel nearby. What a super cute corner location. There was a perfect table in the corner for us. I went inside to let the staff know. A lady came over to clean up and drop off some menus. Me and my sister both got the scrambled eggs and went halfsies. That sausage was so good. We went ham on the pastries. It seemed like a lot, but there was 4 of us so we each got a perfect bite. Everything was so damn good. That maricordo made my whole day. We almost ordered another round to go. Service was fantastic. There was always someone outside in case someone needed help.

The service, food and coffee were outstanding. The waiter explained the origins, flavour profiles and notes of all the coffee they had there. As an Australian, we have a slight obsession with good coffee and this place hit the spot. Absolutely recommend.

Yelp
As a coffee lover from the states who travels for coffee this is a must go for Rome. I've been craving a pour over my entire time in Rome for 3 days and this has been the only place that really served it along with my American friend who needed a regular iced latte. (You won't find iced latte in a lot of places as ice is scarce and everything needs to be made with filtered water) they have free water here because all their water is filtered. We got our pastries first which was AMAZING we loved both the fruit tart and the maritozzi was the best I had here because it wasn't too sweet and the milk cream was just so fresh it was almost like eating a cloud. Absolutely a must eat! In terms of brunch we ordered two scrambled egg dishes and I LOVE European style eggs so super wet and yummy on low heat. I preferred the mushroom one over the sausage even though I'm not the biggest mushroom fan, the Parmegiano reggiano was very very fresh and tasty. We got coffee after which is supposed to be the main event anyway and I really enjoyed the Ethiopia from Aliena Roasters. The single origin espresso was okay. Slightly acidic but then again we went a little early to avoid long lines at 8am so they might be still working through their espresso pull ratio. It was busy even at 8am but by 9/10am everyone was lining out the door for a good hour. The inside of the cafe is simple and clean and fits a good amount of people so I think it's just that most people like to take their time chatting and drinking their cup of coffee so it will take a while to get in. Overall this is a must travel to if you're a coffee lover! If you need a good pour over I definitely recommend visiting.

Yelp
This caffé is wonderful! The staff is friendly and helpful. The pricing is average. The food was so good and tasted really fresh. It definitely gives you caffé vibes, and I like that it's a "no laptop" spot, that way people can come and go in a timely manner.

Yelp
Stopped by this spot for one last meal on the way out of Rome. Found this to be well reviewed on other platforms, so had to check it out! We were greeted by a very nice woman who was acting as a host and a server. She noted it would be a short wait, added our name to the list, and we had a great outdoor seat within a few minutes. I don't recall her name, though she had a lot of tattoos, including a completely filled in sleeve. She was very friendly and helped make our experience even better! There was another gentleman working as a server who helped take our order. He was very informative regarding the coffee options specifically, explaining the difference in taste between the various roasts. This was helpful in making sure we get the best coffee with the right amount of acidity for our liking! The breakfast options all sounded tasty, and they even had a special Liberation Day Breakfast to celebrate the Liberation Day holiday (April 25). *FOOD* -Toast with "Pork&Roll" ham and mozzarella cheese "Az. Agricola Le Starze" (10 Euro) - This sandwich was incredible! The bread was perfectly toasted and flaky, and there was a perfect combo of filling. -Liberation Day Breakfast - Spaghetti frittata with butter and Parmigiano cheese, raw ham, salami, traditional "Vignarola" (peas, artichokes, broad beans) and homemade bread (16 Euro) - This was quite a plate! Since it was Liberation Day, we felt it necessary to try this dish. Everything was full of flavor and it was a unique breakfast for sure! The ambiance was that of a fast paced coffee shop that was also offering to-go orders, and lots of pastries options. It wasn't too loud, and had an overall great vibe. I did notice the pastries were selling out, so make sure to get there early if that's what you're after! Overall this was a favorite meal in Italy! The coffee was high quality and fresh, and the food was all delicious! They even provided a complimentary glass of freshly squeezed OJ, which we VERY much enjoyed! Highly recommended checking this spot out if you're looking for a great experience and even better food and coffee! Thanks again to the friendly and awesome staff!! More on IG & TikTok: @bbnem.food

Yelp
Found on Source and loved so much we had to come back before we left to try the food! Coffee was delicious and the food was as good as it looked.
