The 12 Best Restaurants Near Oxford Street - London - The Infatuation

"This chic-looking Italian spot on Great Portland Street is a feel-good place where the pasta dishes are satisfying and ideal for post-shopping fuel. And you’ll almost certainly be able to get a last-minute table. During the day, it’s a bright, inviting space. In the evening, the dining room turns moody, quietly buzzy, with lighting that’ll make everyone five times more attractive. Bring a group when someone wants a stand-up margherita and someone else wants to go fancy with the truffle ravioli." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna

Faros Oxford Circus - Review - Fitzrovia - London - The Infatuation

"Oxford Circus can often feel like a hard place to find somewhere good to eat. But Faros, a chic-looking Italian spot on Great Portland Street, is a feel-good place where the pasta is satisfying and ideal for post-shopping fuel. And you’ll almost certainly be able to get a last-minute table. During the day it’s a bright, inviting space and come evening, the dining room turns moody and quietly buzzy, with lighting that makes everyone five times more attractive. There’s a good selection so bring a group when someone wants a stand-up margherita and someone else wants to go fancy with the truffle ravioli." - Rianne Shlebak

Our experience at Faros restaurant was amazing! We were served by the lovely Andreea who was always making sure we had everything: from always keeping our glasses filled to giving us fresh cutlery if we dropped any! She was excellent. Thank you for your kind service Andreea. Also, the food was so fresh and delicious we really enjoyed both our mains. Cocktails are also their strong point for sure! Could not recommend this place enough, will definitely be returning😊

It was my partner’s and my first night in London, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to start our trip than Faros. We ordered the seafood risotto, the beef ragu pasta, and tiramisu for dessert — every single dish was a 10/10. The flavors were rich, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. But what truly made the evening special was our waiter (I can’t quite remember his name — I think it might have been Jass). He was exceptionally kind, patient, and attentive throughout our meal. He checked in on us at just the right moments and made sure we were enjoying everything. We also noticed how diligently he cared for the other tables around us, which really stood out. A wonderful meal paired with genuinely thoughtful service — the perfect start to our London trip. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was incredible and the service was impeccable. Ozzy was our waitor and he was very attentive. We had the burrata salad which was very tasty, the octopus cappacio was not as good but then I guess octopus doesn't have a strong flavour anyway, but the beef cappacio was very good. Now, the main courses, wow! The truffle pasta was my favourite, the pasta itself had a great texture, and what I liked the most is that it wasn't soaked in cream, which often happens with a mushroom/truffle pasta dish. Then the beef Ragu tagliatelle was also great, the beef Ragu was well cooked and seasoned, the tagliatelle again had a great texture. We also had the risotto mare, there were lots of seafood in it (big prawns, baby squid, clams) and it was definitely cooked with a suace made from the prawns heads, it was super tasty. We also had the pizza and it was great too. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu and chocolate bomb, both were very tasty as well, but they were quite heavy, so we were glad that we shared the desserts amongst the four of us. Great restaurant, will definitely go again, high recommend it to anyone that's looking for a good quality Italian restaurant to visit in central London.

The food was just as good as people say. The beef ragu was delicious and had great deep flavors. We also enjoyed the cheese bread and truffle fries. But the thing that can make or break an experience is the waiter. We had Jass and this young man did an outstanding job taking care of all the outdoor patio tables and was always on top of things. Lovely place and I’m glad we were able to walk you and get a table. We sat outdoors and it was cold outside but with the heaters they have installed I was warm! To finish things we split the tiramisu and it was delicious just like every thing else. Great place and atmosphere was on point.

Faros Oxford Circus is easily at the top of my list when it comes to Italian restaurants in London. From the moment you walk in, the elegant and polished atmosphere sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The food is cooked to perfection, blending authentic Italian tradition with just the right amount of modern flair. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, but the truffle pasta truly stands out—it’s rich, aromatic, and absolutely unforgettable. The service is equally impressive: attentive, professional, and warm without being intrusive. Altogether, Faros Oxford Circus offers a dining experience that feels both indulgent and refined, making it a must-visit for anyone who loves high-quality Italian cuisine in a stylish setting. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ +

Great food, high level of service, and a truly dreamy tiramisu... We started with a delicious burrata salad that was fresh, creamy, and beautifully balanced. The sea bass was cooked perfectly — flavorful, tender, and plated with care. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, always ready with thoughtful recommendations without being intrusive. It’s the kind of place that works both for catching up with friends and for a comfortable business meal. And of course, don’t leave without trying the tiramisu — it’s light, rich, and unforgettable. Highly recommended.

Top recommendation…!!!🪧 Just stone throwing away from Tottenham Court Road station another Hidden Gem 💎 in area for Italian cuisine lovers, once you will come in you will be meet and greet by kindness Hostess, then you will be surprised to have your table ready just in minutes if not seconds when three bee 🐝 waiters preparing your table after previous customers left, like Switzerland Watches ⏱️, more punctually than you would imagine, well done, and here is a great place for crispy starters and fantastically tasty food dishes on mains with marvellous cocktails, most delicious italian style desserts and not in last place the best cup of espresso I had in area. For note to management staff you a really good service a fantastic customer service team, but small attention and improvement required to achieve the business goal, empty glasses or bottles should not left on table forever, once you taking plates away then empty glasses and empty water bottle must go too tables are good size for serving food but with glasses and bottles 🍾is quite struggling not to drop cutlery’s 🍴.

We arrived without a reservation, and even so, everyone was very friendly, starting with the hostess, the waiters, the manager, and in general, all the staff were very attentive and helpful. We ordered a pizza with Parma ham and linguine Alfredo with truffle. Everything was delicious and enough for two adults. They have good wine and beer. I recommend it.
