Authentic Ethiopian cuisine, flavorful stews, lamb, fish & vegetarian

"Fasika Cafe is a popular Ethiopian spot run by the same family behind Fasika Restaurant in Somerville. Get the timatim fitfit tossed with onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, vinegar, and shredded bits of injera, and a sampling of restaurant’s spicy, flavorful stews via the combination platter for one person ($16.50) or two ($35)." - Erika Adams

"Perhaps Ethiopian food wasn’t the best choice for a seven-mile delivery; as you can probably tell from the photo, there was a lot of sauce leakage and ripping of the injera. Despite the mess, though, it was delicious. While it’s not the same experience as gathering inside an Ethiopian restaurant with friends over a giant piece of injera dotted with various meats and veggies and tearing into it together, delivery from Fasika Cafe succeeded in scratching that itch and making me nostalgic for carefree, slow dinners with friends. One day we’ll have that again. —RLB Currently offering takeout and delivery. Order: Official Website (takeout) / DoorDash / Grubhub / Uber Eats" - Terrence Doyle

"Fasika Cafe is the sibling restaurant to Fasika Ethiopian Restaurant in Somerville. The Dudley outpost’s menu is a pared-down version of the original’s, but diners can still indulge in a wide range of Ethiopian dishes. The cafe special, which consists of beef cooked in a spicy sauce, always satisfies." - Terrence Doyle

"A vegetarian-friendly stop known for kikk alicha—split yellow peas cooked with garlic and turmeric—and for quanta firfir, a stew-like dish of beef jerky and torn injera simmered in a house “special sauce.” The coffee is a major draw (served with a sense of ceremony) and is widely praised as among the best around." - Terrence Doyle

"Opened in mid-March at 51 Roxbury St., this Ethiopian cafe serves as a casual extension of the owner’s Somerville restaurant, bringing neighborhood-style Ethiopian dishes to the immediate Dudley Square area." - Terrence Doyle
