This spot has been on my list since last year, and my main reason for having it on the list had to do with their cinnamon rolls, which I had to try.
The service was great. I was driving pretty far out (about 40+ min away) and I wanted to make sure the items I wanted were available, so I called in. Luckily, they were cool with me making a pick-up order, as it wasn't busy, but they don't really do pick-up call-in orders.
When I arrived, I had a brief conversation with one of the staff members (he might've been the owner, but I don't know), and he was a dope and very friendly guy. He even threw in a fresh biscuit on the house so I could try it.
He informed me that nearly everything is made in-house from scratch, and that's great to see a homegrown product generate success. Also, he said they have plans on expanding when it comes to even more menu and food items, so I'll definitely be on the lookout for that.
For my order, I got the smoked beef French dip $15, carrot cake muffin $5.50, cinnamon roll $6, and biscuit FREE.
- The smoked beef French dip was something new to me, as I'm not used to having dipped sandwiches, but this was solid.
- The carrot cake muffin was GREAT, and I can't find any flaws with it. The carrot cake delivered with great flavors and soft & moist textures. Definitely up there for some of the best carrot cake I've had.
- The cinnamon roll was good. Honestly, it wasn't as good as I expected, and it didn't look much like the online menu picture, but it was still enjoyable.
- The biscuit was good: moist, soft, and fresh: the way biscuits should be.
All in all, this was a great experience that I would definitely come back for on my next Florida trip.
