Diner style restaurant serving great breakfast! Our server today was Rose, what a sweetheart! Coffee was filled as needed and was always hot and fresh. Breakfast arrived in a timely fashion and was absolutely delicious! Eggs were on point, cooked to order. Friendly and inviting atmosphere, space is clean.

Such a cute little place. The onion rings and the pickle chips were a surprisingly delight. The waitress said they hand dip and fry fresh. Burgers were good. The loaded potato soup was the award winning star and they make it from scratch every morning.

Visited one last time.  You have until February 12, 2025 to visit.  Beware!  “DANGER MEN COOKING.”  (HA HA!) - Bacon Blue Burger - $12.59: I’ve had a couple of blue cheese burgers and I wanted to have Fat Boy’s before they closed.  Their bacon is some of the very best.  I live within running distance and remember running by the restaurant in the morning smelling the bacon on many occasions.  I finally stopped in and tried it.  YUM! The burger patty was ordered medium and was fairly close to medium.  The burger was medium quality and seasoned well.  The toppings were spot on.  The blue cheese was mediocre, but not bad.  The cheese was great and melted well.  The bun was spot on. - Ultimate Grilled Cheese - $7.99: This is my daughter’s favorite here and she has ordered it at least twice.  They used to sprinkle fried cheese bits, but it doesn’t look like they do that anymore.  It was her favorite part. - Reuben - $11.99: Accidentally received instead of the grilled cheese.  We did not eat it, but it is pictured for your reference since I took the picture without realizing what happened until later. - Fries (comes with the burger and grilled cheese at extra cost): Crinkle cut.  I was able to see from the kitchen that they had a bowl of fries already made ahead for orders to dish from.  They were warm and good, though. - Chips (comes with the burger and grilled cheese by default): Made in house.  I am not a fan of the chips made this way, but that is the same with most restaurants that make their own chips.  If you like most other places, you’ll like these.  I personally prefer to upgrade to fries. - Sloppy Boy - $16.99: Probably my favorite here.  I’ve ordered it at least 6 times in the past.  It is HUGE!  The beef patties dominate here!  The bun is comically small compared to the burger patties.  It is massive and VERY messy.  Forget your manners and just go for it.  It is SO good and you won’t go hungry.  (Sorry, I don’t have a picture.) - Service: Fairly good.  Some of the staff have been there a long time and are passionate. - Atmosphere: Definitely a mom and pop shop feel.  Some 80’s and 70’s nostalgia on the wall.  Not kept up with remodelling and the bathroom is TINY, but it has a feel of warmth that cannot be missed. - Conclusion: You will be remembered and missed!  If Governor Whitmer can officially appreciate this place and commemorate it, it is safe to say it is a national treasure that we will never get back. Visited usually on Saturdays because the hours are breakfast and lunch only (except toward the end when open for suppers on Thursdays and Fridays).

I can’t say no to trying a long running business, and Fat Boy Burgers was worth the stop. They’ve been around since 1952, and their food was excellent. The price wasn’t too bad, and the staff was quick to get our order in. I tried the Fat Boy olive burger, and I upgraded my side to the onion rings. The burger was satisfying and full of umami flavor from the beef and olives, and the onion rings were perfectly crispy. I can understand how they’ve managed to stand the test of time; they must have a loyal customer base. If you’re craving an old fashioned burger, you really can’t go wrong giving this place a try.

Tried it out, wasn't super impressed. The atmosphere was great and the wait staff was very attentive and polite. The food was alright, a reasonable burger and fries, but nothing special. Worth a try for sure

Great food can't hope for a better breakfast. Great burgers too. One of a few non foo foo places left. Doesn’t close because of an inch of snow or employee parties four times a year

Very cute little neighborhood restaurant. The food was really good. It's hard to mess up breakfast though. (Well...Denny's on Plainfield managed to do it...but that's another story ) The waiter and waitress were adorably salty. Service and atmosphere were good. We got four good sized breakfasts, one kids lunch (and 2 chili dogs and a large fry to take home to my husband) and the total was $79.00 not including tip. I would go back. Parking in back.
