This place is pure magic. From the second you walk in, the vibe just HITS Everything we ordered was phenomenal. Every single bite felt intentional and creative. Nothing was boring. Nothing was ordinary. And the drinks were SO good. It’s rare to find a place that nails atmosphere, flavor, and service all at once, but they absolutely did. We’ll be telling everyone about this spot and already can’t wait to go back and order half the menu again. Obsessed is an understatement.

Came back for the second time and ordered the same thing - Arroz Caldo with pork belly. I can say that the flavor was different this time. I like the gingery flavor of this but this time you can’t even tasted it. It was loaded with a bunch of green onions and that’s basically I can taste and the pork belly was really salty. I ended up taking it home because I really can’t eat it and I don’t really want to throw and waste it. I wanted to give them another try and hopefully the flavor will be better and consistent next time. Found this gem while browsing Instagram. I asked hubby if we can go there and they didn’t disappoint. Everything that we ordered was very yummy and I will definitely going to order again!

This place was exactly what I wanted, a sincerely quirky and unique atmosphere, excellent menu and knowledgeable staff, perfect service and delicious food. The quality of their NA beverage menu and obviously community minded branding, complete with snacks for your dog is top tier.

Boa buns were not light and airy. Dumplings were doughy and the vegan calamari was very bland. Good service and great atmosphere. We sat on the patio, beautiful night with fireworks in the distance.

Hit this up randomly yesterday before a stop at the west side market and the food was really good. Had a hankering for some steamed buns and boy were they worth the stop. Also got some of the empanadas, which I thought were all different flavors because the mixture on the menu didn’t seem to make sense. Boy was I wrong. Beef good, onions good, olives good, potatoes good, raisins good! Mix in some banana and homemade ketchup which was banging! Fantastic start to the day. Chefs kiss!

I came here for dinner with my friends and it was very busy. We had reservations and still had to wait 10-15 mins for our table. The menu has lots of good food and drink options (alcoholic and nonalcoholic). Though once we ordered, we waited around 45 mins for our food. The biggest problem I had was the portion of my entree. I usually get to-go boxes at restaurants because I don’t each much but it was ridiculous. I got the acorn squash gnocchi and counted there were 8 pieces of pasta on my plate with about 1/2 cup of greens and sauce. It cost $18 compared to my friends’ cheaper entrees with more food.

One month ago I ate here for the first time and had a great experience, so I decided to come back today. The food was excellent and the service from our waitress was superb. Unfortunately, my partner and I felt a bit uncomfortable because a mature female staff member repeatedly glared at us while we were trying to enjoy our dinner. It was strange and confusing, and it really does not make sense to make paying customers feel uncomfortable in your establishment. Aside from that, the vegan menu items are top tier in the city.

This was a lovely restaurant in the Tremont area in Cleveland (OH). The restaurant had a wonderful vibe. The menu was also great with a wide variety of food options. Im vegan so I was very happy to see a nice array of vegan dishes. The staff were also super awesome. I really enjoyed visiting this place and am glad I was able to stop by whilst I was visiting Cleveland.

And oldy but a goody with a new chef to kick things up a notch too! The menu is full of flavor, small bites ate best with so much to choose from, so sharing is a must. If you don't make reservations on a friday night make sure you are ready to stand around, tables are limited but the bar menu is worth the wait.

Food is amazing. Lumpia was perfect! The chicken sandwich was excellent; however the stars of this dinner were the burger and sweet potato fries and standard fries. These three items in particular were absolutely outstanding. By the second bite of the burger, I concluded: this is the BEST burger I have ever eaten, I think. I didn't know burgers could be this good. Tons of flavor, juicy. It's perfectly balanced. You don't taste only onions, or tomato, or salt, or garlic. It's all melded together....it's perfectly proportionate. The sweet potato fries also made me just about swoon. I've had sweet potato fries before...and they were super sweet. These offered a more savory taste, still sweet, but not as sweet as I have had. They're downright addictive. The regular fries looked boring but one bite with the sauce proved me wrong. Again, fantastic. I love the Filipino choices on the menu! Try the beef lumpia if you love crispy egg and fried spring rolls. I bet you'll have a new favorite. I took off one star for service. The servers were obviously overworked. They were rushed, and consequently were taking shortcuts, taking a long time, and in general you feel like you are ignored. We had a reservation, but waited almost thirty minutes anyway because they had to bus our table. Be aware of this. Don't take a date here because you will get frustrated OR take a date here to see how they treat overworked staff. My message to Fat Cats is: hire a hostess. Hire a food runner. Don't put everything on a few servers!

Small place, but cute, parking is a pain though. Drinks were good, food was good. The crispy shrimp app was amazing, empanadas were tasty. Pizza was ok. Noodle bowls and pork belly was also really good. Ordered the crab melt, perfect texture of bread but cheese wasnt melted which kind of out me off...i like a melt to have melted cheese... Desserts were good (bread pudding and chocolate torte. Service at the bar was really great and attentive

Beautifully plated dishes with inventive flavors and a crowd-pleasing menu--served by a disinterested staff in a slightly chaotic setting. The food impressed, but the experience didn't quite land. If I lived nearby, I'd be back often, but just for the food.

I've been here twice now for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. I really like the atmosphere, casual and laid back. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, service is always friendly, and it's in the heart of Tremont. The food is reasonably priced and always good.

The food was amazing here, and they had lots of unique vegetarian options. I got the tofu noodle salad, and my fried got a seasonal brown butter gnocchi dish. Service and ambiance were a bit lackluster mostly because this place is so popular, for good reason too! It is a beautiful restaurant, but the servers seem overworked and the place's acoustics lead to my friends and I asking each other to repeat multiple times. I will be returning, but with a reservation.

Was here with friends for dinner so we ordered a bunch of stuff. We Ordered fried calamari which was pretty good, the sauce could've been better but it was a really good portion. We also got some warm goat cheese which was amazing too and some sweet potato shrimp which turned out to be a surprise because it was soo good we did not expect it. The pork belly bao was ok since I've had better baos and the Fried Brussels were an absolute delight. I ordered a Fried chicken sandwich which was pretty okay-ish but honestly I have had wayyyy better fried chicken at other places and at cheaper rates. The chicken was definitely fried twice to make it crispy but that also made it bitter probly cos of reused oil. The sweet potato fries on the side were oily as well! Unfortunately overall, that was one greasy plate of food. The pork meatball banh mi wasn't too great as well. The meatballs on their own were pretty dry, so it wasn't worth the hype. But the appetizers were a saving grace, they're worth it and gave the real value for money.

The restaurant was unclean we sat by windows, the blinds were filthy and we kept getting disturbed by fruit flies. I ordered the burger, realized I was not asked a preferred temp only to receive 2 black dry tasteless chincks of meat it was not even a pattie. I had not been here in years propably will not go again.

I've been here a few times in the last couple of years during my trips to Cleveland. It was just recommended and I liked it enough the first time that I wanted to try it again. Parking can be a little bit difficult to find but if you search around, there will be street parking. There can also be a wait here close to dinner time even during the week. But every time the food is delicious! Ambience is very relaxed and there are tables all over as you can tell this is probably a house where people lived in at one time. We have tried the bao buns with the pork pierogies, the arroz caldo, the deviled eggs with salmon roe, lemon creme brulee, and best of all was the fallen chocolate cake with ice cream. That was the best part of every trip! I don't know how they do it but it's just so delicious. All the other food is so tasty and good. I would recommend getting a couple of appetizers with one of the entrees. I usually just got a burger which was always good but it was always the appetizers and the dessert that made it work for me. Definitely a place I'm returning to every time I go to Cleveland!

I ate the chicken curry soup & brown butter gnocchi. The gnocchi is pretty good but I thought that the soup was honestly the best soup I have ever had. It's spicy, creamy, and has crispy, flavorful veggies. Definitely going back here again. Lots of interesting choices.

Food was excellent but the space is totally run down. They really need to clean, repair, and paint. There were holes in the walls. The back room had no heat. We could hear everything going on in the kitchen. And the acoustics were really bad. Server was fine.

Very non assuming restaurant in Tremont. Casual bar and dining space with a hint of sophistication. Many Filipino influences on the menu. Pancit, arroz caldo, adobo....I have been here several times. Always good service and good food. Portions sized just right. I had swordfish, taco's and pork belly boa bun last time I was here with my son. We both shared everything we ordered and cleaned the plates.

Hole in the wall with gourmet Asian fusion eats. Sit down experience was fantastic tonight. Lucia cocktail was like a fruit punch/Caribou Lou. Grilled octopus was a perfect mix of citrus and savory with cashews and veggies. The green curry with cashew crusted tofu was fantastic. They even brought it without rice as I asked! It had a very mild spice with plenty of super creamy broth filled with delicious veggies. The tofu was plentiful and super flavorful and meaty like, well... a meat! All around very filling meal. I also got the swordfish with cauliflower appetizer to go.

I was disappointed with the flavors of the food. The deviled eggs were good, the pork belly bao missed for me. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy, came out hot, just didn't have any flavor. The rice with that dish had too much ginger, and the slaw was not even dressed. The cocktail (hi Neil I believe was the name of it) was good, the dessert was great. Service was very good and the ambiance - we were outside - was fine. The view of the city at the end of the street is not to be missed. Wife got the beef tacos - if you like the spices they used, then you'd like the meal.

This is a really adorable building and location. Was seated right away with fast service. I got the warm goat cheese with bread and it was insanely good. Got a crab melt after, it was pretty good but would get something different next time. Got lemon cake dessert which I forgot to take a pic of but that was great too. Pretty cheap too!! Lots of flies tho:-(

The tofu steam buns were so good! The fish tacos were also good. I would get both again. All the servers were nice.

Great vibe / chill atmosphere... Sat on the curve at the bar by the window. Really pleasant autumn day. The chef is Filipino and the Asian items on the menu, especially the Bao, were very good. Adobo fried chicken... yum! Cocktails were on point and our service was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Will return...

I'm assuming from the outside but be prepared for an amazing menu starting with cocktails cocktails local brews. I started with appetizer of pierogies which may be the best I've ever had in my life panfried nice and crisp with a perfect sunny side egg on top my wife had, a perfect proportion with pesto the weight staff was amazingly helpful and friendly highly recommend

I had such high hopes for this place. The restaurant looks so cozy from out outside, so eclectic inside, I was hoping for simply amazing lunch. The staff was super polite and very attentive. The lady that greeted us in the front room had a very good idea of what was happening and invited us to sit at the bar while our table was getting ready. My friend order dishes they enjoyed, ribeye sandwich and fried chicken were great according to them. Unfortunately, my burger fell short. It was plain and messy. The burger patty was so plain that I had to request other condiments to finish it. Fries were more soggy than crisp. Luckily, I also order butternut squash soup which was very good. The parking situation can be tricky. The restaurant has a very small parking lot and the street parking is limited.

Really loved the vibe here although we had to wait for like 30mins or so to be sited because it was fully packed. Keep that in mind as they don't take reservations over the phone unless you are there in person. The atmosphere was great, great lighting and energy all over the place, the service was really good as well and the food was good although I think a bit overpriced for what it is.. We had we pierogis to share which were delicious but we were disappointed to see that we only received 2 pieces.. for $10 we were honestly expecting a bit more than that.. We then ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the crab melt which were delicious but also felt a bit short when seeing their price $13 and $15 respectively. We had a good time and the food was really good but I do think the prices should align a bit more since they felt a bit excessive for what we got

We were in the neighborhood and decided to follow in Guy Fieri's footsteps so we stopped into Fat Cats. I guess we picked a good day to go because we were seated right away. I really liked the decor, there were pieces of art work on the wall that I believe could be purchased. I normally order a burger if they're on the menu but the waitress recommended I try the chicken sandwich. Overall I thought it was fine, it had a unique batter. It reminded me of what a hush puppy is fried in. I really enjoyed the aioli sauce that was on it. It came with sweet potato fries that were cold may have just been a busy day in the kitchen. I would give an award to our waitress as she was great and was very patient with our friend that wanted to purchase a hat. She even brought over the options for her to see. I'd give Fat Cats another try, definitely a cool spot if you're in the area.

Awesome vibe, seems like an old house transformed to a restaurant. Solid service. Food was super delicious - our party of 6 all agreed. Highlight was definitely the bao buns which I believe they're known for. A must visit if you're in Cleveland!

this is a fun place, servers were wonderful. The food however was more than disappointing. Chicken pot pie was chicken soup with a soggy crust top and not much flavor. A simple burger and fries were very disappointing. The burger bun was actually crunchy it was so dry and over toasted. As one other reviewer mentioned, they do not ask how you want it cooked. I was a little more rare than I like, but not at all tasty. The fries were wilted greasy mess.

My sister and I had a great dinner at Fat Cats. It was really hard to narrow down the menu options to an only slightly unreasonable amount of food. We ended up sharing a selection of the small plates. My favorite dishes were the Brussles sprouts and the Kimchee potatoes. The sprouts had apple chunks and cashews in the dish, for a really great flavor. The Kimchee potatoes had a lot going on, but were so good - fried potatoes, kimchee, and an over easy egg. We sliced up the egg and the potatoes were really good dipped into the yolk. We had a round of creative cocktails - I think the favorite was the Amalfi spritz - lemony and fizzy. Finally, we ordered the creme brulee, but it has lemon and lavender in it for a slightly herbal sweet treat, with a great cracked crust! Gender neutral bathrooms, first come seating, and there is nothing I can say about the parking that everybody else hasn't said.

Kind of an unassuming place from the outside, but I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. It's a bar set up but the food is a more elevated electric cuisine from different cultures. Don't sleep on the patatas braves here -reminded me of what I ate in Barcelona. I think there is something for everyone here! The quality and taste of the food were all very good! The service was fast and timely. Come here with friends to share the small plates. They have a very nice patio for the summer too!

In Cleveland for just a few days and decided to try the place out for dinner. I looked them up online and thought they had a pretty cool spread of options. I also saw online it may help to make a revelation because they are smaller establishment. We got seated as soon as we arrived and greeted kindly by the hostess. Our server was also very kind and came to us within seconds of sitting down. As for food we started with the pork bao buns and chickens wings. The boa buns were out of this world, some of the best pork belly I've ever had and buns! The wings fell flat and only came with 3 wings for $9. Don't think it's worth it. For entrees we got the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potatoe fries and the ribeye sandwich with house fries. The chicken sandwich was also disappointing. It had a ton of bread and not much chicken at all. The chicken also didn't have the crunch you usually get with fried chicken. The sauce on the sandwich itself was tasty though, and enjoyed the flavors. The fries were good and enjoyed the crisp. The steak sandwich was good but also had a lot of bread, and the fried were okay but soggy. If we came back we would probably stick to some of the Asian style meals and primarily stuff with the pork belly. Though we probably wouldn't recommend it here. Left disappointed by the food, outside of the buns.

Nice neighborhood restaurant with lots of innovative vegan options. They even have a doggie menu! Definitely check it out.

Fat Cats is a fun diner with quirky decor and delicious Asian-fusion inspired dishes. My friends and I came for brunch and left raving about our experience. The fried chicken sandwich featured a tangy and fresh slaw. I got a veggie omelette that came with delicious crispy potatoes. They only serve brunch on Saturdays but I honestly wish I'd gotten something off of their regular menu because everything looks so good. I'll definitely be back to try other menu items!

I enjoyed Fat Cats. It had a nice quirky vibe to it that's perfect for a laid back lunch. Overall the food is pretty decent, but the Kimchi Tots were the star of the show! Such great flavors that come together so well . The Crab Melt was also very good! The sauce that comes with it has such a great flavor profile as well! Sweet and savory. The service was also very attentive & prompt with great recommendations. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is because the swordfish & beef lumpia left much to be desired

If you're looking for vegan and vegetarian options that pack flavor- this is your place! We came here on a weekday and we're lucky enough to have a table available to us. The drinks were phenomenal and I highly recommend the limoncello one- absolutely addicting! I got the tofu curry and it was actually quite authentic- I'm a sucker for a green curry and they perfected this! I also we a huge fan of their homemade ketchup and their fries were insanely good. Overall loved our experience and we ended up bringing more friends here the following week because we loved it so much! PS if you catch a glimpse of a cat consider yourself lucky!

My wife and I walked over to Fat Cats during our stay in Cleveland. My wife got the bacon Cobb salad and I had the fried chicken sandwich. Hers was tasty and mine was very delicious. I was a little hesitant about the sweet potato fries but they were absolutely perfect with the house made ketchup. We enjoyed getting to sit outside and eat. We highly recommend.

Interesting location with a view of the Cleveland downtown skyline. Good food. Portions more on the smaller side. Prices are ok. One of the service staff had a bad day. Can happen. Sadly paying with the phone was not possible. Probably a problem with their POS system. Make sure to have a card or cash at hand.

Ashley was a fantastic server! She was knowledgeable and gave us suggestions which delighted our palettes and fed our foodie-loving souls!

Lovely little spot near the river. Very nice casual vibe ; attentive friendly service and good food... we had fried chicken sandwich, house salad and goats cheese. All yum ! Super busy on a Monday lunchtime! Love that there's a dog friendly patio and menu

Ambiance was nice, I was glad to pick this place and find parking! It was a fun busy night, with a nice flux of folks in and out. Arriving kinda starving and starting with a calamari was good.

Nice dinner with my Mom before heading down to MusicBox Supper Club. Food was on point! Only drawbacks were noise and our table was pretty much in the service area for food pick-up. On a busy Friday, this is not the best place to sit. That said, I will return and recommend because the varied menu offers lots of yummy choices!

A nice bar feel in Tremont. Stopped in on a snowy Tuesday. Loved the Ribeye steak sandwich but fried chicken sandwich was ok too much bread not enough chicken. Cool vibe and the service was pretty good as well. Ordered pumpkin cheesecake because it was offered but it was out after they looked. Scored a 4 as it was right between a 3 and 4.

Was impressed with how busy they were on a Tuesday night! Every staff member we interacted with was super pleasant and while I didn't go very far in (we were seated at the bar), it was cute and homey. The chocolate cake was SO good - moist in the middle just like I like it. And the vegan apple crumble was pretty good, especially with that (vegan) vanilla ice cream topping it. So, 5/5 for desserts and would be excited to try them for other meals.

Very tasty and they accommodate allergies the drinks are soooo good. The parking not so good, and always best to make reservations! Have fun and enjoy the food and the vibe guys!!

Very relaxed atmosphere. Service was great. Staff were friendly. They were out of our top choice for an appetizer but our second choice was delicious. I had the ribeye sandwich special and hubby had the house burger. 10/10 Def recommend!

Came on a Friday for lunch with some friends. We had great service and everyone enjoyed their meal. I got the tofu noodle bowl and the tofu was way better than I expected. Would definitely come back to try other things on the menu. We sat inside but the patio looked lovely also.

A decent food option in a central location, with parking options around! The food is tasty, nothing extraordinary but does the job. My only gripe about this place is how they call their bao buns banh báo. Banh báo are a Vietnamese dish that are enclosed-not even close to what is served on the menu besides the flour being used. There's nothing Vietnamese about this dish and it makes me wonder why the people that created the menu would name the buns that. Though, the flavors were good and I contemplated ordering more. The caldo arroz bowl was also tasty, especially for a cool fall day. It reminded me of dishes I would eat when I was younger. The dish was simple, hearty and nourishing. I'd try other restaurants before coming back here. However, it's a good option for anyone curious!

Wonderful lunch in Tremont! Daughter enjoyed the hamburger and I poached some of the delicious french fries. The pork noodle bowl was delicious with lots of fresh vegetables. And grandmother enjoyed the salad. How nice to have the restaurant walkable from my daughters new home.

I came to Fat Cats for the first time not fully understanding its cuisine, only knowing it was recently featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I was pretty hesitant as I was looking over the menu since it is incredibly diverse and my friend and I were unsure if we were going to be able to have a cohesive small plates experience as a result. We settled on warm goat cheese, pork banh baos, grilled octopus, and the white pizza special. For drinks, I got the peach bellini and she got an aperol spritz (they were exactly what we expected - no complaints and got the job done). The highs: warm goat cheese and pork banh baos. In my eyes, any restaurant that pairs warm goat cheese with tomato jam knows what it is doing. I thought that this dish was great - it was a generous serving, came with enough crostinis, and overall had the exact flavor that I was looking for. My only complaint is that the toasted (?) parts of the goat cheese were hard to cut into and eat. I initially didn't know if I wanted to get the baos, but decided to try them because I know they are popular, and it was insanely good. The pork belly had a great texture and flavor - usually I am not a huge fan of pork belly because of how fatty it is (kind of makes me feel gross after eating), but this one was surprisingly crisp and light. I would come back just for these baos, I wish we had gotten more than 2! The not so highs: grilled octopus and white pizza special. I didn't mind having either of these as part of my dinner because the pizza was very filling and the grilled octopus was very fresh, so I felt it balanced out the other two dishes we got well. The grilled octopus we got had a very strong lemon flavor, which wasn't my favorite, and it came at a kind of strange lukewarm temperature that made me feel weird (probably because the grilled octopus is tossed with avocado and cucumber and the hot and cold temperatures got confused). I wouldn't get it again but I appreciate what the dish added. The pizza was ok - it basically tasted just like what you would expect based on the menu description except it was also a lot spicier than I expected. If I came back I wouldn't get this pizza again, but it was fine for the moment, just certainly nothing special. I would give Fat Cats a 4.5 if I could. Whenever you have a dinner consisting of small plates you are bound to have some dishes that you love and some that you don't. In the case of Fat Cats, I think the dishes that wowed me far outweighed the ones that were underwhelming, so overall I had a great dining experience. Combined with its quirky atmosphere, I would definitely recommend giving it a shot!

My uncle picked this spot for the rehearsal dinner as it's a favorite of my cousin. I can definitely see why with the unique atmosphere/decorum and interesting food menu. The Brussels sprouts appetizer is amazing and unique with the cashews adding an interesting twist. The ceviche also was a favorite as well with the seafood being tender due to freshness. I ordered the fish tacos for my meal; quite spicy due to the hot peppers and they had good consistency although it was missing a sauce or salsa to compliment all the veggies and fish. The staff was attentive and made sure our drinks were always filled and accommodated our needs although the wait for food took a while. Then again we had a large party so maybe that's why. Nevertheless I look forward to another visit if I visit Cleveland again.
