I asked the security guy from Apple Store if he knew a place where they would cook really good sea food boil… we come from Laredo, the brother did not disappoint! He understood the assignment! The food was DELICIOUS! Drinks were great! We just had to order another batch of hush puppies! They were super super GOOD!!! May God bless this person that recommended us to this place!

I ordered the snow crab with medium heat & garlic butter & the gumbo! It was so amazing! The flavor was top notch, the corn was too good, the potatoes were so so good, the gumbo was to die for, and the customer service was a 10/10!

If you love fried seafood you should definitely check this place out. The calamari was awesome and corn on cob taste so good...

Haven't tried the food but we came to have a quick drink and the bar and the drinks were delish. The bartender was nice.

The food is outstanding! My second time and it did not disappoint And great prices too. Amazing crab, which I don’t even like! Our waitress was very friendly and kind, but once the food was served, she kind of disappeared. That didn’t stop me from giving her a nice tip because she was pleasant. Would highly recommend anyone to go to Fat Crab.

I called and ask before ordering if the crawfish was live it wasn’t, was definitely frozen in from Louisiana I know the difference. Two they didn’t purge them, they were muddy. Couldn’t even eat them, they were so nasty and muddy.

This was my first time at Fat Crab and the food was amazing. I had the Fried Catfish Basket and Skittle Drink. The drink was good and the food was season good. Great service from the server Alison L. Thank you !!! I will be coming back.

The food was amazing! My sister and niece came down from Fort Worth/Arlington texas for the weekend. Food was delicious..we had lobster special, king crab boil and catfish platter (4) with crab cakes and fries. The servings were fulfilling, the seasoning on the food was very tasty.The service was great..our waiter provided us with all our requests. The ambiance was great...music playing, movies and sports showing on the TV screen. I'm sure that later during the night the place really turns up because the music is good. We enjoyed it all.

Quite surprised by this hidden gem. The staff is entertaining, there is usually something quite interesting on the televisions and the drinks are top tier. The seafood selection is vast - especially during crawfish season. The sides, sauces and meal selections were nice! There is a mixed crowd and all the patrons have been kind during all of my visits. The decorations were super cute and spot on for a seafood restaurant.

Food is A1 and they be playing the jams while you. Food came fast and the staff was friendly. 10s across the board

Allana was the best bartender ever! The drinks were absolutely delicious! I enjoyed every second of it! I look forward to coming back for a cocktail!

One star because the business here is janky ! Predominately black patronizing establishment that of course is owned by a non black . Ppl... always ask for the itemized receipt especially at that bar!! I visited this place two days ago and got the same two receipts that I was giving on this night of this review neither one was itemized (see picture below) Myself and friend tipped well that night two days ... tonight I asked for the itemized receipt and low and behold there is a 10% service/gratuity fee. It's small so ppl won't notice it as much it's very small !!! At the bar the two copies giving were just total bills ! The one I had to ask for is pictured because I felt a sense of suspicion was the itemized copy that actually show the 10% service /gratuity charge (that one is not always giving by the bar tender or server so ask for it ) !! If double tipping your thing that's fine but don't be sneaky fat crab !!!! Is misrepresentation and that constitutes fraud !!! For me it's the fact they are hiding or smoothing over the charge . I couldn't care less if it was 1$ it's my money and you can not dictate how I spend my money ... just don't try to be sneaky and play in folks faces !!! Maybe it was just the practice of that particular bar tender or maybe the owner sets it up that way idk but it's bad and it's sneaky !!! and ppl should be aware! ppl just check your receipt to ensure you aren't double tipping !!! If that's your thing that's fine then tip I love insuring my proper service but don't be sneaky and try pulling wool over ppl eyes especially my black n brown ppl !! We have had enough of that crap !!

Man I had a great time! Allana was absolutely great! she was the bartender! I look forward to coming back and enjoying a nice cocktail!

I first visited about a month ago and tried the fried catfish, raw oysters, steamed oysters with their special seasoning and sauce, fries and crab legs. It was so good. I tried the skittles drink which was very strong for those who enjoy an adult beverage like I do. My initial visit was pretty good so I looked forward to returning. Boy was I disappointed. I ordered a dozen oysters, steamed and raw. They weren't fresh, pretty dry & rather tasteless. Nothing like the ones I tried on my first visit. My friend got the seared scallops and chicken wings. Again, it was pretty bland. I got a drink which was missing something but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. The waiter was attentive, the music pretty loud so you had to yell to talk to your party or order. Overall, prices are reasonable, it's not very busy but this 2nd visit gives me pause to return.

Tell me why I came here on a date and the man was so cheap he didn't even want to buy me the $30 crab legs, but got the nerve to order himself the $28 wings and shrimp fried rice. After asking what I was going to order I let him know the crab legs and he said "they high as hell." If he can't get me something I get myself when I go out with the girls, he ain't the one. Immediate red flag, don't worry he was cut off and ghosted, but I enjoyed the free meal. I was surprised he let me order a drink. Limit was one. Got the skittles for $10, but it was strong. 10/10. Would definitely recommend. Got 1/2 pound of shrimp- boom flavor- with potatoes and corn for $20. I was nervous to ask for extra side of dry rub since Julius jr said he wanted to be a gentleman and order my food for me, but I think it was so I wouldn't order nothing else. The boil was a good 9/10, but dry rub season was a 5/10. I let Julius jr try a shrimp and he enjoyed it so much that after I didn't finish my food and caught him side eyeing my left overs, he asked if I was taking it to go. This basically indicated that if I wasn't, he definitely was. Food tasted just as good the following day when I steamed the left over boil. When it was time to pay, Julius Jr conveniently left his wallet. I was going to pay my own half and leave him there. After some silence of waiting for our server, I thought I was going to have to ask if they had any dishes he could wash in the back for his personal portion, but then he then brought up Apple Pay. He sent me $50 and said to use my card. Luckily the server said they offer Apple Pay and he paid the whole bill himself. He asked me if I was sending the money back, but I conveniently didn't have signal. I would recommend overall for the ambiance, vibe, late hours, and food quality, but honestly I've had better dry rubs which makes a large part of a boil in my personal opinion. Still would come here again, but on a separate occasion. Try them out !

Decent wings and drinks, loud music even at noon on a weekday, and respectability politics. The first time I had wings from here was during my birthday party at spotlight karaoke. The second time was just a regular day. Service was reasonably fast and the wings were a 6/10. Nothing amazing but not terrible. My server was nice. On the way out I noticed this ridiculous sign. Hair covering is actually more sanitary so what's the problem?

Service started out great. The server greeted us, sat us at a booth and was very polite. I ordered the half dozen raw oysters to start. When they came out it was just oysters on some ice. I asked why it didn't come like the picture on the menu? No horseradish, no cocktail sauce, no lemons, no crackers. The server said he just works there and they didn't have horseradish but had lemons, crackers, hot sauce and asked me if I would like some. He did get me some hot sauce and lemons and a plastic fork. So, I didn't order anymore food paid the tab and left.

The sever had an Aditude, we asked for raw oysters she gave us steamed oysters my mum asked her to get raw oysters on ice and she gave us the same steamed oysters on ice. We waited 30 minutes for drinks, food, and appetizers. She gave us no salt or pepper. The bathroom was nasty, disgusting. Smelt bad and the toilet paper was on the ground and it was wet and soggy, napkins was not in the dispensers. Staff was getting drunk in the back. Person at the front was eating shrimp. Bus boy lied and said he was a manager. Never. Again P. S the waiter had two long braids and white clips in her hair

The Food - Zero complaints Not sure how long this place has been there but they seriously nailed the flavor and the consistency of the sauce. I was absolutely 100% pleased with my meal here which included the green mussels, and head-off shrimp (you'd be surprised how many seafood boil places in the area do not have green mussels, so I'd give 5 stars for that alone especially since it was delicious. The Service - we have some work to do... a training perhaps. Luckily our server Kenny carried the rest of the staff, I really appreciated him doing his job plus he's a nice guy so shout out to him. As for the rest of you, I don't think this is rocket science but let me help you out because I like the food here. When patrons walk into your establishment, you greet them!! Everyone stood around and just looked at us as if we walked into their living room or something, don't do that, ok. This is a business and should be run as such. We literally almost left just because if this, why would I have to ask a room full of employees was anyone working and where should we sit. Next time I come, I want to see an improvement in hospitality, hell at least pretend you want to be there. The food here is way to delicious to be overlooked by poor service. Let's fix this promptly so we can continue to support!!

I know nothing about Fat Crab but I sure do love them. They are.out of season now ie. frozen. Jim.

I came here because the people I heard about it from raved about this place and when I looked it up the reviews were really mixed about it being either really good or horrible. My experience was horrible. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. By no means were they busy at the time I went, and I waited over 25 minutes for someone to come get my drink order. The wait staff were rude and didn't show any signs of caring that I had waited so long. Didn't even eat because if I had to wait 25 minutes for my drink order to be taken, I could only imagine what the wait would be for a food order. So if you want to go sit at a restaurant (that was not busy) and be ignored for almost half an hour til you get frustrated enough to walk out, (not on a tab because no one ever came) then this is your spot.

Fat Crab is such a hidden gem. Their boiled seafood is on point. I've really enjoyed their snow crab clusters and boiled shrimp. The BOOM seasoning is fantastic. The potatoes that come with it are always buttery soft and the corn absorbs all of the flavor. Highly recommend Fat Crab to my seafood aficionados.

While visiting Houston we stopped in on our last day in the city. Let me start by saying we never had the opportunity to try food or drinks. My experience mirrors a few of the reviews that I've read... pretty much there is soo much going on that it's hard to figure out who is coming or going. We waited at the door to be seated as the sign instructed however others (maybe regulars) walked right in and sat where they liked. Initially it didn't appear to be that busy, 75% of the tables were empty, but we waited 10mins to be seated. Once seated we wait another 15mins before someone started our order then another young lady (it was her first day) came in the middle to complete the order. After an additional 10mins (now 35 mins) I realized the young lady did not ask how I wanted my seafood boil prepared (flavor and spice level). When I caught her attention and asked her about it she said "I didn't put your order in yet". I was surprised and slightly annoyed but went with it because now I know it would be prepared to my liking. Thinking we finally were off to a good start, I got lost in the TV and music as my eyes wander trying to figure out exactly what the vibe was supposed to be. It was hard to tell, the bar was a little busy but many tables remained empty. Several ladies walking around may/may not be employees. I believe if they had on a belt bag/fanny pack then they were. When I realized I was still taking in the atmosphere an additional 20mins had passed (55mins total) we still didn't receive the water w/ lemon (requested) or the drinks from the bar. By this time we were over it. On the way out I stopped at the bar waited an additional few minutes to get the original lady's (whom started our order) attention and told her thank you but NO THANK YOU. She apologized as we booked it to the exit. Just A Note: I thought the service was originally do to opening hiccups/kinks that they were working out. Based on other reviews it's just hit or miss... This place needs to get shut down seriously . It's no reason for the workers to be fighting infront of customers and at they place of buisness. There's no customer service here and the vibes are so bad. You can't go here and not expect something bad to happen. This is actually ridiculous fr. A fight breaking out in the middle of me trying to enjoy myself and having people try to break in from the back door is even more insane. It's no safety here and it's ghetto asf . Please do not go here at all. Expensive asf might I add to have the most terrible servers and y'all have gratuity is insane as hell. Just terrible

I love seafood. Their seafood boils are so flavorful. Their combos are amazing. My favorite is the wings with fried rice with the boom sauce! Their prices are affordable and they have specials available as well. I frequent this establishment lol

Came for my sons bday but stood at the door for a hot minute waiting to be seated even though the staff was all at the bar just chatting , when we finally got sat, we asked to move because it was not the area where we wanted to sit and the server just said no because that's her section. I guess she didn't have tables and wanted us to sit on her section, sorry but thats not the area we wanted to sit at. We ended up moving sections to another and we never got attended to even though that section we moved to had other guest. Service here is obvious of no importance and the staff clearly has no sense of urgency. No wonder they are slow, open tables and still have to wait so they can finish gossip or whatever is more important than customer service. You get the feeling you are burdening the staff. Its a no for me. I recommend LA Fisherman on beltway 8 and beechnut. There is a wait but the food and the service is always up to par there.

Man the fat crab was craaazzzzzzzyyy. Let's get down to how flavorful the food was. The combinations recommended by our server ( Purp) is highly efficient. The 1/2 portion size of everything was more than enough. This place Is a must try. The atmosphere was inviting and lively. Music was bumping. So if you came to have a good time and eat good this the spot.

Cool little place to eat . Very color blue inside and gray . Parking lot is shit ! Drove around the parking lot for about 13 minutes looking for a spot . This was on a Saturday night too. Monday thru Thursday there open 12pm-1am. And Friday , Saturday, and Sunday 12pm-2am. Honestly if it wasn't for the hours being open late this place would have probably gotten a two star outta me . We order cocktail drinks way before we ordered our food. I kid you not the food came first ... red flag . Perhaps maybe by two people working the bar on a Saturday night . Preferred. The Boom mix was bomb . That's about all the hype I have for this . Which isn't much . Willing to try again. they had a special 1 pound of shrimp, crab legs and lobster for 29.99

Okkkk SO i definitely think this place is over hyped. On their website they had a lot of things that weren't available at the actual restaurant (FALSE ADVERTISEMENT). I ended up getting a boil bag with shrimp,2 boiled eggs, corn and potatoes. I also asked for a side of white rice. As we all know a boil bag should come to the table FULL OF STEAM. Why was the bag lukewarm like it had been sitting out?! And they didn't bring me my rice until I was done with my food because they didn't have any ready! Like no. I didn't need the rice anymore. I also got cheese sticks. Those were cold as well. It kind of gives off the same vibe and ambiance as Krafty Krab... idk if they are owned by the same people. Krafty Krab is way better though.

Had a great time. The service was great. Our waiter Charlie was very attentive and checked on us so many times. The snow crab clusters were large and flavorful. I got the combo flavor. The crab was sweet too. My friend got the shrimp fried rice and it was a lot! I didn't try it but she liked it. Great cocktail menu. Great RnB music. It is loud so it gives it a hangout/lounge atmosphere in a restaurant but that's just Houston in general. We were jammin to all the music. But don't think you're gonna have a quiet intimate time. We were still able to stay for hours and converse, but the music is loud. The place looked clean. It may seem like a small detail but the water cups come with a plastic cover and when you're eating messy crab legs, it is much appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend. I will go back.

Came two days in a row and the food was on point both times. However, they only have ranch dressing as an option for salad dressings, which sticks those unable to eat dairy (ie buttermilk ranch) with a dry salad they have to pack up and just take home to dress up. Having a ranch and Italian (or other non dairy based) dressing as an available option doesn't seem like too much to ask. Unsure if they're still remodeling/under construction within, but it's a nice vibe with good music. Explicit versions of songs are played so if that's not your thing, just be advised, they're not playing over the top explicit songs, just here and there you might hear songs with a curse word or two. The service... was acceptable the first day but the following day, let's say service could use a bit of improvement with a little focus on the customer. It wasn't busy, but we had to ask for dinnerware with a meal that obviously required utensils; water was delivered to the table upon seating but drink orders were never inquired about by the server. Food was hot and came out quickly. Everyone that had any boiled seafood at the table enjoyed theirs. Those that ordered a fried basket combo or fried rice enjoyed that as well. Everything was fried nicely and the sweet potato fries were hot and crispy. Definitely going to go back.

went in today 02/09/2024 sat at the bar for 20 mins with nobody saying anything no service no nothing I ask the bartender could I please order a drink she threw up her hands and said not right now I'm busy like are u frfr ,Then me my wife and two other gentleman walked out because the service was shitty and when I asked to speak to manager and I told her what happened she proceeded to say yea she busy like are u frfr! Say your time! Do NOT go here! It's another example of cultural misappropriation... "play some R&B music, toss around drinks and they will come" type ISH! First off this place is nestled in a parking lot with a karaoke bar where there is NO parking, second when you walk in you're not acknowledged. The owners could care less, just keep spending your money, they said! I ordered boiled shrimp and crab combo and I got shrimp and crawfish instead. When I asked for tartar sauce for my crab cakes I was told "we ain't got that." OKAY! We waited approx 30 mins to get a seat despite the place NOT being packed, order was wrong, and we couldn't get tea cause "it wasn't Brewed quite yet"

I got the crawfish boil with an over priced sausage link (that they cut up in little slices) a boiled egg and you get one corn and two potato's with each pound. The crawfish were a good size and the flavor was ok but the spice level was non existent. Service was good and the drinks were strong. I would like to go back on a weekend to see how the vibe is.

We saw a happening crowd there when we went out to dinner a few weeks ago. My wife saw the seafood in the window and was set on trying it. After reading outstanding reviews, we had to try the place. We grabbed the kids on their last day of school and headed over for lunch. The restaurant and restroom were very clean. The service was outstanding. Our server KB was very attentive and accommodating. The other staff who we interacted with were very friendly too. We ordered scallops, 1 pound of crawfish, 1 pound of Dungeness crab, rice, French fries, hush puppies, 5 buffalo wings, and 5 lemon pepper wings. Everything was outstanding! This is now our favorite crawfish place. We ate everything except a single potato. Will definitely return!

Service was the slowest ever and that's no exaggeration! Then had the audacity to be mad expensive for food that left myself and my family on the toilet for hours and hours. Fat crab isn't really hitting like the hype..i rather go to Crafty Crab and NO they do not taste the same(atleast not in my opinion). Fat crab is over hyped. Won't be back.

The wait time is non like I have ever witnessed, we have been waiting over (20) minutes and we see visible open seats. The establishment is clean and the music is at a nice decibel. The Melodies utilized are befitting to the patrons. The service needs a lot of work and effort. The sauces are nice and provide a good variety. We were seated and after 10 minutes was not asked of a beverage option. From entering to entree 1.5 hours. The is actually well-seasoned, hot and tastes pretty good. But may no return for they got "Wifey's" order incorrect yet removed items off the menu. But the wait is a bit too much for my return.

At first i was like nah this ain't it when we walked in because the wait time to get seated was a little minute for it not being busy! But once we got seated & served the food was on point as in the shrimp for my boil was jumbo (16/18) the seasoning finger licking good!! I took a bite of the corn best corn I've ever tasted. S2G the cook seasoned the water just right it was just so delicious i added sausage in with my order and GOOD LORD they did not disappoint the amount given was beyond generous the potatoes , we'll they were just as good as everything else i ate until I was full & there was some to take home! I will definitely be returning!

does this look appealing? NOT ONE BIT! i don't know if i just got a bad batch of crawfish but it was disgusting! all of them were mushed! $60 down the drain for some nasty NASTY crawfish. I didn't eat anything because this whole meal was gross. don't come here for crawfish. the sausage tasted like rubber with seasoning as well.

Do not come here I came here with my man and I normally come here anytime I want seafood but this was the last time we spend over 500 dollars on seafood we bought crab and shrimp pretty much everything we got our food and it was kind of fishy but we dint think it was gonna come us throwing up for 3 days straights I had to go to the hospital 3 hours after eating there food and there's drinks are ridiculous to strong if you trynna get food poisoning or can alcohol poisoning come here!!!

The boiled seafood is Great!! But there is seafood juice on the walls at the booths! My husband said the men's restroom was horrible, it smelled like urine. The ladies restroom had no soap, after eating boiled seafood, come on!! But you have employees sitting down on their cell phones when the restaurant needs cleaning!!!

It was just okay. The inside is pretty nice and I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. I placed an order through Yelp app since I was having issues placing an order online through the restaurant.When I went to pick up my order, the ticket they pulled showed unpaid. However, I did pay through Yelp. Another thing I noticed is that the price was different on the ticket versus through Yelp app. I ordered the Steamed Oysters The Boom flavor with medium spice level. Shrimp boil that includes corn and potatoes with a side of 1/2 sausages. The oysters were pretty tiny, especially for the price. The Boom flavor was a bit salty but not too overbearing. Now to the shrimp boil, that was my least favorite of the meal. It lacked flavor and spice. I was pretty disappointed on how mushy the shrimp was. I could tell that the food was not boiled together with the sauce. Overall, I would not get that as a choice.

I don't really understand what this place want to be. You can't be all things to all people!! Pick a lane and go with it!! You install TVs all over the place, but on a game night, I came to watch the ALCS game, and only 3 TVs were working. The music is so loud, everyone is screaming at each other. The soul music is also not typical of these types of places! Be a sports bar or a music place... you can't do both. You can't tell who's working here or who is a customer. A bunch of people are walking around, including behind and around the bar, that makes it chaotic. Workers are sitting in the booths on bar stools... weird. It took 20 minutes for me to get iced water. Someone brought a plastic bag which is an order for dine in, to the bar. The Asian young lady reads the ticket and called for someone. No one responded, so the food sat there for over 15 minutes before the bartender grabbed it to give it to someone. Alot ofchaotic craziness here...

Food was great, the fish and fries was hot and fresh and the drinks was amazing. They have a good vibe there and you can go to the karaoke bar next door since their drinks are a better deal than the bar

The service from the door was terrible , I sat at the door waiting to be seated for over 15 minutes while the young lady at the door played and talked with her friends like she never seen anyone waiting to be seated . ( mind you it's 11:15 and the restaurant is not busy . ) so we finally get seated and we still waited 20 minutes before someone came to take our order . Once we finally ordered our food and drinks the food took FOREVER to come out . And when it did it was luke warm . like its been sitting up . Which i figured . I'm not happy at all at this point . While I'm still waiting on my Drink which still haven't came out yet . Like what's really going on ???? Idk if the staff is drunk or what but I've never been serviced like this before . I don't even write reviews but this is horrible . So I sent the food back to be warmed up . Not to mention our food was put together in the same bag ! Smh . And now I am still waiting on my food and drink . Lol this will never happen again . I'll NEVER be back . The establishment looks nice but they need way better customer service !!!!!! I wish I had pictures! the crawfish was so good, they have buy 3 lbs get 1 free so my sister & I split that. the drinks were WEAK AF, we both had blue Hawaiian and it just tasted like I was drinking blue koolaid fr. no flavor. but the fish was good, crawfish was good, I'd go back! we got the hottest level of spice and the BOOM as the flavor, which is all 3 combined. just TRUST. there was a lot of walking around and activity going on with some of the customers but they had no control over that so yea.

The food perfectly seasoned and great portion. Vixen and the entire staff was beyond amazing. Giving me recommendations as well as introducing me to the Boom! Sauce. I can't wait to be back.

We ordered over a 150 in food. My mom ordered Gumbo. They had no spoons. She asked the waitress if it had rice that could have come with the gumbo just so she could at least taste it. The waitress said I just sell the food. I don't cook it, so Idk what they got. She was very rude. The music wasn't kid friendly either. I will never go back there

The seafood is absolutely delicious, well seasoned and so so so worth every penny. Bri (our server) was so kind and accommodating. Her recommendations were spot on, loved the drinks, the Margarita was a nice chill with the crabs. We will definitely be back.

We stopped in late night on a Sunday. We found the place. It was not crowded but there were enough people there to let us know that it is known. We ordered crab and shrimp as well as fried tilapia. We ordered a skittles drink. The server was also the bartender. The service was good she was attentive. The food was served in a timely manner.

Found through a google search. The establishment/place is easy to find and very clean. Also very cold; bring a jacket. Greeter/host was also our server. If you order an A B C these meals come with potatoes and corn so don't be like us and order more. sauce on the boiled seafood is not bad but not finger licking good... a little salty if you get the combination sauce. Also tried the wings; big size and fresh. I over heard crowds that they gave good happy hour shots for $5. The restroom was clean and maintained. This place may survive; plus to each is there own. Not much else to say but say go try it and you be the judge!

So I saw these guys on Uber eats and wanted to give them a try I saw on the app they only offered a "shrimp and crawfish boil" no option for just shrimp . So I decided to call ahead . I asked the woman on the phone if they had shrimp with head on as an option she of course said yes I let her know I'd be placing and order and making a note in the app as there was no other option she said okay no problem . Do you know when my order arrived I not only got crawfish I also got shrimp without the head . Like why would I want crawfish in November that's probably been frozen since March . Lordt . I also orders two dozen raw oysters. I didn't even get a lime in the box lol thank goodness I had black vinegar at home . & may I add the shrimp & crawfish are so over cooked I'm considering giving it to the cats

So I was looking for Bamboo and stumbled upon this location. The staff wasn't friendly and arguing with servers. The food took a very long time. The male server was awesome in communicating. The steamed oysters were great. The crawfish were frozen. I'm not a fan. The fried fish was yummy with the Cajun fries.
