Fat Noodle at The Star

One of the restaurants located inside the casino gaming floor area. Prices were okay and not excessive. Service was quick and prompt. Food came out extremely quickly so must have been pre prepped. Food was decent but not stand-up quality. Pho soup could have done with more taste and the spring rolls insides were a little too mushy for my liking. The Haianese chicken was quite nice.

It is located inside of casino. Too loud and too busy and had to line up about 15mins. Meal tastes nothing special ok taste, yes it has no problem at all but nothing impressive and here is not the restaurant for the meal, this is the place for people who is bit hungry to keep playing gamble. When you keep playing then if you feel little bit hungry, come by here to pinch some food. There is no any nice atmosphere here, food is ok but no impression you order fast and finishes quickly and go back to the game again. This place is just like that. But people who work in this place are very nice.

Busy little bistro at The Star on the main gaming EGM lobby. Most of the table were occupied but staff were on top of everything. Service was alright but foods were absolutely delicious and well presented. Can get discounts depending on the tier of the membership. Can get busy with the time.

Dined here inside the casino and enjoyed the overall experience. The atmosphere felt stylish and modern, with an open kitchen view that added to the vibe. The food was tasty and well presented, and I especially recommend the Hainanese chicken rice, which was flavorful and comforting. Service was average, nothing exceptional but acceptable. A solid choice if you’re looking for a nice meal while in the casino

The "Fat Pho" was excellent. Very fresh and delicious with all the trappings. Ultra quick, friendly service. Can't wait to try more things on the menu.

Been here couple times. Food was okay , some are really good (love their bo kho & pad see ew) and some are not (hu tieu). Service also okay but very inconsistent. Price abit expensive maybe because they already mark it up for member discount. But food quality going downhill after 10pm.

Great quick dinner before watching a show at the Lyric Theater. Restaurant was really busy and when we left there was a line up to get tables this place was pumping. Hospitable service, really friendly team. Food… yum, yum and more yum! Each dish punched out flavor - we ate the Beef Ribs, Salt and Pepper Calamari and Prawn Pad Thai - compliments to the kitchen 💐

The seasoning of the food is too salty or sweet. It's not Chinese food, it's not Vietnamese food, it's ambiguous. I don't want to go there again. I think they should change the chef or change the recipe.

Very delicious Chicken Laksa served here. Service was good also. Friendly staff. Price is reasonable. I would recommend.

It was a great late night spot for hungry travelers. The food was amazing! We were traveling for 11 hours from Hawaiʻi to Sydney. We got in past 9 pm and there was no place open near our hotel. My cousin came to pick us up at 10:30 pm and chose this space foe a late night dinner! Excellent choice!

Fat Noodz doods! Fat Noodz! I was here with a Singaporean Aussie maaaaaate, and once I said "Mee Goreng looks good", she said "no way that's my favourite!" and within minutes we were both tucking into large servings of the good stuff. Despite being completely full (we got the last table) the service was fast and efficient. We were presented with tea within moments, and had our orders taken and prepared within a few minutes. I expected a long wait, and was pleasantly surprised when the table next to us received their food promptly and we followed soon after. The food was quite expensive, however this restaurant is INSIDE the casino. If you can't afford to spend, you probably shouldn't be in the building, in the first place. Whilst not being exceptional, the food, service and price all came in at just above my expectations. So it gets a 4! I'd definitely come back.

2 Star Service, 4 Stars for Food, but pricey for Chinese/Vietnamese! Located in Star City, upstairs from the food court, through the gambling area and left of the digital chocolate wheel.... We were seated in a reasonable time, but otherwise the service was incredibly slow. We had been sitting for 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. I actually had to ask to order. Once we ordered our food and drinks came out in a reasonable time. The food itself was quite tasty. We ordered a duck and rice dish which was a little heavy on the sauce but over all quite good. Our second dish was the Mee Goreng noodles with prawns which was delicious- my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed this one, I felt guilty about asking him to share! Over all the food was good but $18 for a bowl of Pho? A bit rich for my blood, but then maybe the pokie machines in Star City are paying out for dinner

Absolutely the worst. I don't usually leave bad reviews but this place was that bad. The pho was so watered down and the noodles soggy with no flavor. The milk tea also very watered down. I asked Waiter 3x for water never received any. They served our food but no drinks. I had to go get the waiter to tell him to bring the drinks we paid for just so we had something to wash down our meal. They probably didn't bring us any water because the pho broth was all water.

Came here cos my friends raved on about the Laksas. The broth was very nice: coconutty & sweet; the prawn & scallops: bland; the 2 slices of chicken breast: dry; fish cakes: always good; noodles: large rice noodles which were really succulent, and in my opinion, better than the hokkien and vermicelli they usually use. The verdict? Very yum, but at a hefty price tag of $20, I wouldn't come here again for that. Ive had better at half the price. I could only justify paying that much considering I came here at midnight. The casino has its own timezone with no lock outs, so I guess you're paying for that luxury.

This casual dining restaurant is at the Star and inside its casino so you need an ID to get in. Nguyen's signature dish "Fat Pho Noodles" is pretty tasty, especially the 20-hour beef broth, umami without MSG. Prawn and pork wontons are nice as well. A nice place to alleviate hunger after trying your luck.

For some simple pan-asia comfort food..this place does it well! Conveniently located within the main floor of the casino, diners can watch the glamorous lights of the pokie machines while eating. I have been here twice and ordered the Abalone and Chicken congee and Singaporean chicken rice. Congee is a very simple dish and while they are definitely not generous with the abalone serving (surprise surprise lol) it really hits the spot if some comfort Chinese food was what you were looking for. My friend loves the Singaporean chicken dish at this place. The dishes here are very well portioned! Overall, it was great to eat with my friend and sip on Hong Kong milk tea while people watching. Would come back.

The location, in my opinion, is a little bit awkward however I suppose it encapsulates that busy bustling lifestle that south east asia is certainly known for. But when you're tucking into a big bowl of pho and watching you're surroundings you almost feel a little out of place for eating in the middle of the casino floor and not joining in. A little bit pricey but the money is well worth it with high quality, high flavoured street food coming out freshly made to order and within a reasonable time. The restaurant itself is open till 2am but don't think that you can show up and expect it to be empty at 1, its more likely than not going to have a healthy crowd.

As I was in the casino and starting to feel hungry my friend and I had just walked by fat noodle. The smell intrigued me into going and having a feed. The service was quick considering how packed this little joint was. I decided on the traditional spicy chicken stirfry. It was extremely tasty but I would have expected it to be more spicy than it was. I ended up putting the table spicy sauce over it. The rice in this dish was jasmin which by far is my go to rice when I'm not eatting healthy so thay was an awesome treat to the dish. My friend ordered the Angus beef stir fry and I preferred this one over the chicken. The noodles used in this dish made it light and the cucumber added a lovely freshness to the dish that left my taste buds refreshed and cool. I would highly recommend this place if you are ever at the casino enjoying a night out. I'm sure I'll be back at one point or another.

Great quality food, but a bit expensive for Vietnamese food (or something you would eat every day) when you can go into Haymarket/Chinatown and get the same meal for half the price. But this place is perfect for the tourist who's staying around darling harbour (or staying at the casino), because this place opens late, accepts credit cards (save on those cash advances that you get slugged with while traveling), and obviously you don't have to travel far (no need to figure out the tram schedule or worry about getting stuck somewhere unfamiliar).

This place is great for a late night feed. After drinks at the house/club, it's a go to spot that's open late. Yea it's a bit random in the middle there with the casino on the side, but once the food arrives it's easy to ignore that. Service is fast and there's always waiters walking around so don't need to wait long to order. Go to dish is the Salt & Pepper Silken Tofu ($12), seriously I don't usually eat tofu but this is amazing!! It's got a bit of spice on it, not hot at all but a nice touch. Tried the Pacific Oysters ($19) this time, it was pretty good so went for seconds - plus another round of tofu. I've tried the mee goreng, which is ok and the Seafood Fried rice - not bad but can't go here without having the Tofu! Total for food $62, $80.80 with drinks.

Considering Luke Nguyen's Red Lantern has a 2 month waiting list, in the meantime get yourself down to The Star casino and grab a bite to eat at Fat Noodle. It is definitely a far less formal affair, but the prices reflect that (in fact it only costs a little more than food court fare) and if you don't mind a casual dining ambience in the middle of a casino then you are in for a treat. The spanner crab special (not on the main menu) was a mere $21 dollars and is literally finger lickin' good. The duck curry was also wonderful (the duck had nice crispy skin and a healthy serving of vegetables and had a wonderfully subtle sauce wherein the heat built up slowly. I am definitely coming back here. It even makes up for the $25 parking fee for the casino.

Food is good for the price. Go there at lunch. Dinner time can be hard to get a table. Be pushy getting attention from waiters. Once u have a seat service is great, very prompt. Try the salt and pepper tofu, laksa and noodle soup. Don't get the chicken rice, it's below par.

We love to visit Fat Noodle at The Star. The Pho is sensational and hubby loves the Laksa. We don't gamble so we head to the casino just to visit Fat Noodle. We have never waited more than 10 minutes for a seat, the food is delivered quickly and is super fresh and tasty. The serves are massive (I can never finish the noodles and broth of the Pho). The staff are friendly and attentive.

Everytime my partner comes here for work we always end up having at least one meal here. The service is quick and the food is tasty if slightly on the expensive side for viet food. You can't expect any bargains inside a casino. I do love that they still give complimentary hot tea. We always have the sliced Angus beef with rice vermicelli and the beef cubed with pepper and rice.

This is the place to dine in at the Star - the place to spend your last dollars consoling yourself with a bowl of delicious soup, or treating your friends to dinner with your four-digit winnings. Located conveniently metres away from all your gambling wants, Fat Noodle is a great source of comfort food with a good dining experience. The food is hearty (particularly the soup) and reasonably priced, or you can spend your hard-earned...elsewhere (i.e. at the poker machines that surround you). Due to the aforesaid convenience, traffic in and out of this place is intense, so grab a table early or you might have to wait to get a seat.

Abit priced but I guess that's normal for the casino but all I can say is the food is f%#king amazing! Decent portion size, the food is very fresh, my friends and I only waited 10 minutes and our food was served considering its very busy. The service was very good. Will definitely be coming back again!!!

Even if I get taken to the cleaners on my occasional visits to that flea pit of a casino (which usually happens), I keep enough pocket cash to console myself with a good bowl of noodle soup and a beer at fat noodle. All is well with the world again. Had the South Taiwan Dan Zai Mee last time and for $20 it was mini orgasm. No rly. Better yet go and have a meal here, enjoy yourself and bugger off away before you start gaming. All gain no pain!

Very bland and boring. I used to eat here religiously however on a recent visit the beef sirloin with garlic and pepper sauce was not the wonderful dish it once was. Tried to get pepper, no, got given ground pepper, pepper mill empty, got some other pepper the waiter had touched. Got told people complained about pepper so they changed dish. WTF

Good food and beverage. Had the quail to start with then char kway teow and barramundi asam tumis. The only downside was the disorganised staff which lead to people waiting longer than they should and people cutting in line getting served first.
