"James French’s fresh-pasta project is staging a short residency ahead of the chef opening a new restaurant in south London this summer; French recently completed an apprenticeship at the Michelin-starred l’Erba del Re in Modena. The concept centres on hand-made pasta produced on site daily, with signature plates such as pappardelle with longhorn shin ragù, tagliarini with clams, samphire, chilli and garlic, and torteloni filled with stracchino, ricotta and parmesan dressed in sage butter, plus classic Monday specials like pici cacio e pepe and spaghetti aglio e olio e peperoncino." - Andrew Leitch

I had a lovely Sausage Sandwich here yesterday morning. The staff were lovely. Tony is a great guy. The service was excellent, and such a wide variety of food that it is great for everyone. 100% recommend this place as a quick and enjoyable dining experience.

I have been to fat tonys 5 times. Every time a bad experience. Never again. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 times shame on me. That man needs to up his game considerably. I don't see it lasting. He has lost a customer in me

Enjoyed a lovely brunch out today food was spot on, sweet chilli chicken wrap with salad was 10/10 don't forget the milkshakes 😍 Lovely service from the moment we walked in staff are really lovely and my son who has additional needs felt super relaxed and loved every moment the interactions from staff and overall happy with his food thank you again we will be back! 😊

The food in fat Tony's is excellent quality. Everything brought and cooked fresh. I personally recommend the Eggs benedict. Tony himself is welcoming and funny and all staff are polite and very helpful. Tony has totally remodelled the place to a much more modern and comfortable feel.

In the past a trip to the cafe was a daily ritual but over the years, not so much! A rare visit to the cafe yesterday and what a treat with Fat Tonys being a welcome addition to a small parade of shops in East Street not associated for quality food, until now. All round five stars which shows with the quality of food to the interior that a real effort has been made. This is now my weekly goto treat.

Me and my colleague popped in. She had the chicken wrap and I had a jacket potato with cheese and beans. The size of the wrap was great and the jacket potato came with a lovely side salad. We both had a latte which we also loved. Tony is also a great guy.
