Yelp
A little hole in the wall in what doesn't even qualify as a neighborhood strip mall, yet there it is - a super pizza.
Out of towners passing through, we look for pizza on Yelp. People seem to like it so we go on a cross town adventure. The place appears a little sus from the outside. Inside there are five or so tables and clearly there's more take out going on than staying there. Phone ringing constantly, streams of people taking out stacks of pizza boxes; Door Dash coming and going.
We order from a super friendly, high energy guy, thinking with all the commotion our dinner will be delivered to our table in an hour. In a very reasonable amount of time, a delicious green mixed salad appears with yummy Italian dressing. Then comes our pasta bolognese, which we split, along with the garlic bread which was buttery delish, and last a Margherita pizza. To my mind, unexpectedly and indescribably good. A crisp crust with loft and chewy goodness after biting into. Not too much cheese. Tasty sauce. Perfect amount of basil. I was so happy.
And then we heard our table neighbors say they've been everywhere in Bend and this is not only the best pizza, but the only serious pizza around after declaring Bend a vast pizza waste land.
We were so happy we went on an exploration. Had too much food but took with. Because you know, great pizza don't come easy.
