Owen & Engine, the British Pub Known For Its Burger, to Close After 14 Years | Eater Chicago

"One of Fowler’s spots, Fat Willy’s was a rib shack that never reopened after March 2020; like her other restaurants, it reflected her obsession with sourcing and working with farmers." - Ashok Selvam

We had a great experience at Fat Willy’s off Kolb Road in south Tucson. The atmosphere was fun, and the restaurant was clean and well-kept. Our waitress was very friendly and did a great job, especially considering how busy it was. If you’re planning to go around 4 o’clock, be prepared for a crowd—it gets really busy! One tip: when your waitress drops off your food, make sure to ask for anything you might need right away, as it may be a while before she makes it back to your table due to the high volume of customers. The food was very good, and despite the hustle and bustle, we had a great time. We’ll definitely be back!

Ok we found this place on maps but were a little puzzled when we drove thru a retirement community to get to it. Needless to say the hubs and I were the youngest customers in there. However, we were the quietest customers there, these seniors have fun!! Anyways the food was good, typical sports bar food, pretty good but nothing special. Our server was very nice and she knew all the regulars. I would eat here again.

Fat Willy’s used to have a black and blue burger that was our favorite! I’m sad they changed the menu and replaced the B&B burger…but the food is always delish and the beer is always ice cold!

Food was better than expected and service was good but a little slow. We sat outside on the patio and watched the sunset while we ate which was nice and we were staying in the hotel on site so this was super close and convenient. We will definitely return to eat here again.

What a great hometown spirit! Fantastic burger made to your liking! Say Hi to Kelly (like jelly) for me! She will get you what you want!

This was our first trip here since it changed hands. The staff was very friendly and our waiter (Chris?) was a joy to have. My beautiful bride had their signature stir-fry featuring a plethora of veggies and, in her case, some very tasty and tender chunks of steak. I had the fish basket with well-done fries. The fries were a bit salty, but as it's June in Tucson, I probably needed the extra salt. The fish was very crispy and hot, the tarter sauce very robust. It was a good mix for a hot day. We got here rather early (3:15) for the dinner rush, but Fat Willy's is located in Voyager mobile home community, so the local clientele is prone to early dining. It was beginning to get busy when we left just after 4. Also, note that this is a sports bar and grill, so there may be some raucous parties in the other room. Don't expect a quiet dining experience. The prices were very affordable, and this was one of our less-costly meals in some time. We are definitely making the trip back, as I would like to try their pizzas.

This is a review for Fred Magana the manager of the restaurant Fat Willy’s. I left my wallet at the restaurant when we were driving from Nevada to Tucson.. he was great at communicating with me, and mailed my wallet the very next day, I had some cash that I asked him to please use so he could mail it priority, he refused to use any of the cash, and went above and beyond to make sure I got my wallet, he went to fedex on his day off and followed up days after to make sure I got it. Thank you so much Mr Magana!

Took a long time to get menus and drinks, but several servers talked to us throughout our meal. Seems like the kind of place that would do military discount, but doesn't.
