i love this place! best chicken sandwich for me but my pop digs the ribs. good food, friendly staff & perfect place to go & c a movie across the street. ooh! and dont forget the mac & cheese, sweet tea & giant brownie desert.

The service the service was great. Pulled chicken was very good the corn bread that came with it was good and toast collard greens were exceptional. Brisket sandwich the large one was also terrific and my daughter's hamburger was exceptional also. I would recommend Fat Willy's.

I love this place. Cozy, the service is quick and friendly, the food is delicious. Overall a great place to dine with a group of friends or family or just keep it 1 on 1. Right next to the movie theater so you can plan a great date night! They have great music too. Definitely returning.

I absolutely love this rib shack. It's a hidden gem filled with the best tasting comfort food. The baby back ribs are of course the must get, however, their burgers are also delicious! I never ordered anything I didn't like. Parking is a bit of a pain, especially since the small streets are all permit parking, but it's not terrible. Also, if you want to make it a dinner and movie night, there's an AMC theater next door!

Wonderful service, down to earth humble ownership and the food is amazing!! Well done Fat Willy!! BEST BBQ in Chicago! Owner is a nice guy. Jack came to our table and helped us decide on our meal and didn't try to upsale but saved us money on a great meal! Excellent service Jack!!

This was a sad day for me. I have been here in the past but of course all good things come to an end. I brought an out of town friend who seemed very disappointed after my hyped story about this place. I don't blame her. I too was put off. The food quality has suffered in addition to higher prices for what you get and shrinking portion sizes. $4 for 4 ounces of Mac-n-Cheese. FOH! The food was ok. Not as well as I remembered to get me back. However the BBQ sauce was less than desirable. The meat (1lb of rib tips) was still tender but almost ruined by the poor choice of sauce. The sauce choices were not tasty. The overall experience was costly & and wholly unsatisfactory. On top of all that there were large black ants everywhere. I dont like eating with insects. All this lead to a very unhappy experience. So no I shall not return to this place. I shall not recommend this place. So long Fat Willy's. I'm glad I knew a better time. I'm saddened to see you going downhill. I'm giving 2 stars because you don't deserve 1 star. The only people who would enjoy this place as it is now, no nothing about BBQ AND are to scared to come to any of the MUCH BETTER places on the Southside.

Excellent BBQ in Chicago. Not too far from the city centre by car. Photos are of the full slab of Baby Back ribs with chips, Texas toast and green onion corn bread. Dessert was a skillet brownie with ice cream and caramel sauce. Definitely worth a visit.

I haven't had a single thing yet that isn't delicious. The baby back ribs and catfish are particularly great. It can get a little crowded during dinner rush, but the food is worth getting a little cozy with your neighbors.
