16 Spots for Takeout Sandwiches | Eater San Diego

"Sammies are big here like the Hot Poppa, a roll stuffed with turkey, pepper jack, cream cheese, jalapeños and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. The not-so-adventurous can also make their own creations. If you have the extra time, place an order in person and peruse the cold cases while you wait because there are plenty of drink options to accompany your sandwich." - darlene-horn

Listen…I love this place. I’ve been coming here for years and nothing beats their sandwiches. However I’m just not sure I can come back after this. I ordered a deluxe Italian on 4/5 at around 1:20pm. I’m eating the sandwich when I suddenly bite down on something HARD. I THEN PROCEED TO PULL A BREAD CLIP OUT OF MY MOUTH! I just can’t believe how oblivious you have to be to do something like this. I get it’s a busy store and you have a lot going on, but this is a huge hazard. I could’ve choked on it. Hopefully this is a wake up call to the store to be a bit more careful in the future when making your sandwiches!!

Google
Honestly kinda let down. We were excited to try this place but both our sandwiches came out wrong. One was missing the “Fat Boy’s Way” (even though we selected it), and the other didn’t have oil or vinegar. They also threw chips inside the sandwich, which we didn’t ask for (but know could be 🔥)— and it was weird because they were only on like a quarter of it, and tasted old, like off-brand Cool Ranch. For almost $20 a sandwich, you’d expect way better. Probably wouldn’t go back. Plenty of better spots out there.

Google
This place was recommended from a friend and it did not disappoint. I absolutely love sandwiches so mine have to be up to par. They have a huge variety of sandwich toppings, breads, chips and drinks. The sandwich come with your choice of potato or macaroni salad. I got the potato salad and it was pretty good. The turkey and Swiss on toasted rye was so fresh and delicious. A pomegranate kombucha to wash it down. If you are in North Park LA. Make the pit stop * Very cute neighborhood with lots of other foodie places as well*

Google
Our go to spot for Sammie’s in SD! So many different options. The ingredients are always super fresh and I love how it’s located in a convenience store so you can grab any drink you want. We have had about 5 different sandwiches from here ranging from the hot and cold options. All have been great! You can also custom your sandwich so get any item and bread you want! Go to spot!!!

Google
I worked in the deli industry in New York (Long Island specifically) for 10 years+ so I take my sandwiches very seriously. I am also very critical whenever someone else makes prepares my sandwiches for me. Having said that, I have yet to be disappointed with Fatboys...Boards head products, generous portions, comes with sides and reasonably priced. Best Deli in North Park and one of the best sandwiches in San Diego, highly recommend!

Google
Came in to grab a sandwich. I got the BLT on a roll. It came with a pickle and side of either potato or macaroni salad. I chose potato salad. The sandwich was very hearty with lots of bacon. The potato salad was average. The pickle was a nice surprise. They have a huge selection of different types of chips and snacks. Lots of different sodas and beers too. I will definitely be going back.

Google
I popped into this deli for a quick bite and I was happy I did. My sandwich was delicious and made with quality ingredients. Customer service was friendly and my order was quick. They have a good selection of sandwiches and tons of drinks and spirits as well. I’d for sure go back again.

Google
Hands down my favorite sandwich deli in North Park. They have a great menu and it's easy to find one you love and absolutely stick with it. I've been having the North Park Club for a decade now. Along with an amazing selection of chips and exotic drinks and some really interesting snacks as well. If you live in the area or are just passing through and are craving a hella sandwich do yourself a favor and go to Fatboys! Thanks for everything guys! *9/23/2022 update* Had the north park club again today. And STILL! the best sandwich in town!!

Yelp
Fatboy's Deli - More Than Just a Sandwich Spot Fatboy's Deli isn't just a sandwich shop--it's a hidden gem inside a liquor store that serves up some of the best sandwiches in town. They use Boar's Head meats, and what really sets them apart is the huge selection of fresh veggies you can pile onto your sandwich. If you love a veggie-loaded sandwich, this is the place to go. But what really makes Fatboy's stand out is their wild selection of chips and snacks from around the world. You'll find exotic treats you can't get anywhere else, and their drink selection is just as impressive, offering everything from classic sodas to CBD and other functional beverages that you won't typically find at your average deli. I was chatting with the man at the counter (who I assume is the owner), and he told me they've been doing this for years--building long-term relationships with vendors to keep prices lower than other spots now catching on to the exotic snack trend. He's intentionally set Fatboy's apart from a typical convenience store, and it really shows. On top of all that, every sandwich comes with a choice of macaroni salad or potato salad, which makes it an even better deal. Great sandwiches, unique snacks, and solid prices--what more could you ask for? Pro tip: Come hungry and take your time browsing the snack selection--you're bound to find something fun to try.

Yelp
GO GO GO for the pickle sandwiches!! I've been here twice to grab the pickle sandwiches after seeing this deli show up on a Facebook group several months ago. During my visit to SD from the OC, I had to make a pit stop here and it didn't disappoint each time. I ordered the carribean jerk sandwich and loved every bit of it. It's located inside a liquor store and we called our order as advised by a friend. Everything was yummy and fresh! The service over the phone was good and I'll definitely make my way back when I'm in SD.

Yelp
Was craving a pickle wrapped sandwich so cruised on over to fat boys and got a fill of my hearts desire #winning #abundance #ticklemypickle The service was a bit slow, but it was lunch time on a week days. There is some outside seating but I saw a lot of people taking their food to go. We stayed and say on the patio. This day was a vibe and the pickle sandwich 10x it

Yelp
I love these sandwiches! However, the prices are so much higher than they used to be, like everywhere...almost $20 for a sandwich and chips.

Yelp
I've always passed by this place but didn't think too much about it however I saw a local influencer video going more in depth about it. AMBIANCE: Parking: Welcome to (No)rth (Park)! It gets pretty competitive, but there is a parking structure, metered parking, and neighborhood parking. Seating: Outside patio seating for small groups (4-5 groups) Feels: North Park is a lovely area for an active life. There are a lot of eateries here! The spot itself is neat. It looks like your classical East Coast bodega, and inside, they truly hold it down with all their options. There are many snacks and drinks. It's family-friendly and great for a food adventure. FOOD: Fat Bastard (Recommend) Now if you're a bit indecisive and looking for a bang for your buck that's fulfilling, this is it. You basically have the works (selections of meats - ham, turkey, bacon and cheese) and then your choices of your bread (toasted or not), veggies, sauces, and any additionals (I asked for Hot Cheetos). I know I can probably make this at home but to get all the ingredients at once is a task so I'm glad they offered this. Topped with either mac or potato salad and pickle on the side and you're in for a treat! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! They get busy, and they handle things well. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Great choices, reasonable prices, and pleasant experience. They have pretty much everything and can make everything from your classics to your trends (such as the pickle sandwich). For a nice one-stop shop for sub needs, this is your spot. Best wishes to the Alfares family for sharing the love of subs. TIPS: * They may have other locations but this is the but OG OG location is Big E's! * Learn more about their history! https://eccalifornian.com/brother-and-sister-continue-deli-expansion/

Super relaxed and chill spit! They have a few outdoor spots which is great. The people working are always super friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Randomly stopped by this corner deli joint in North Park because I was starving lol This isn't your basic turkey-and-lettuce deli--this place knows how to level up with chips and cream cheese, in their sandwiches! Hands down, this spot is a winner for anyone looking for something unique and seriously delicious. It's tucked inside a liquor store and ambiance is like a local bodega, but trust me, it's worth the stop. Parking can be tough during peak hours. I went with the chicken ranch crunch sandwich, I'm big on adding chips to sandwiches (and salads too), so seeing them mix in that crunch here was a win for me. The sandwich was balanced perfectly, from the fresh toppings to the quality meat. The Fat Bastard 5/5 The y do not mess around with the meat portions--they are huge and can be shared by 2 easily. Do not skip out on the pickle, it's a MUST. This place really stands out from other delis. Between the solid topping options, fresh ingredients, and great service, I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Love this place! Im a sandwich person and Fat Boys has always hit the spot! The menu is great . Totally sure you will find what you are looking for on their menu! Service is okay but it will take you forever to get your sandwich on a busy day. But dont let that stop you. Its also a Liquor store type deal so do not expect a fancy sandwich shop. They only have a limited amount of seats outside where you can people watch in the heart of North Park!! Definitely a must a try!!!

Yelp
Stopped to grab my daughter a sandwich at this little sandwich spot . Very easy to order and they had a big variety of chips treats and drinks . The workers were very nice and friendly. Sparked up a convo while waiting for my sandwich to be done .

Yelp
I have been dying to try this spot and I'm so glad I finally did! It is on the corner and inside convenience store with a super fun menu! Ew h sandwhich comes with a pickle spear and choice of potato or macaroni salad which I love!! Have already been recommending this spot and can't wait to go back again! The girls taking your order are super kind and helpful and there is a huge variety of chips, drinks, and other snacks to pick up while you are there!!

Yelp
I am a sucker for a good sandwich and lord have mercy does Fatboy's deliver! I sadly have not been into the establishment so I can't speak on behalf of the customer service or ambiance but I have ordered them multiple times from Uber Eats and they are freaking amazing. I challenge myself to try a new sandwich every time we order from here and each one I have gotten has been awesome. Their clam chowder also kicks some serious butt as well! I am just thankful they are not down the street from me because lord knows I would be getting something from here everyday of the week.
google avatar

Marenda T.

Yelp
been here a couple times and it never disappoints! you walk in and its your basic deli vibe of chips , drinks, snacks n the deli there ! In the past I've ordered the hot papa , but recently decided to try something new and got the jerk chicken... and omg this will be my new go to whenever I go . Their menu has a wide variety as well as a wide variety of chips of different cultures . The Mac salad is a little water imo but overall the sandwich, hawaiiian chips and Mac salad made a great meal at the beach .

Yelp
Tried this place on a whim for lunch and my wife an I loved it. Not a big bodega sandwich deli guy but i might just come here every week now the sandwich diversity here is amazing there's so many options. I got the Reuben and potato salad and my wife got the fat boy w no bread (pickle sandwich, no bread are options for the Celiacs) both very delicious. Service was very nice and polite. This place can get a crowd and online orders so expect to wait and it's also freshly made so patience is worth the quality sando. Also if you are bored there are so many drinks and snacks to attend to if that's your thing.
google avatar

Yelp
Another delicious sandwich. Super fresh ingredients. I love their potato salad too. I ordered in and it was delivered fast too.
google avatar

Alexander L.

Yelp
With a name like "Fatboy's Deli" you'd expect the sandwiches to have more than a single slice of each type of meat, but nope. Very disappointing.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
Very good! It was a quick stop off the 805 freeway headed home from the Mexico border. Ordered ahead of time and the sandwiches were ready within 15 min. They had a huge selection of drinks, chips and candies. It was a cool little local spot.
google avatar

Tabbatha P.

Yelp
The staff was friendly! You wouldn't expect much from looking at it outside but the store has all kinds of cool stuff in it. The food was AMAZING! We will stop again next time we are in CA!

Yelp
Fatboy's Deli is pretty much your one stop shop for unique snacks, beverages, and their popular deli sandwiches. You can either take your food to go but they have a small mini patio to sit and eat at. The store itself is pretty small and has limited items but I saw they have unique imported snacks such as chips and even edible insects for sale. I came to try their sandwiches and selected their Deluxe Italian. Their deli meats and cheeses are from Boarhead which I do like. The sandwich took awhile to be prepared so I definitely would get the order in. It also came with your choice of a small scoop of potato salad or Mac salad and they ask if you want a pickle spear. I chose the Mac salad and it was decent! I split the sandwich with a friend and we both enjoyed the meal on the patio. I would come back to try some of their other creations but overall it is pretty simple.

Lisa M.

Yelp
I always love a "hole in the wall" eatery! It's a liquor store / deli but don't let the liquor store part fool you. They also have snacks and tons of different types of chips...with oriental writing. The service is fantastic as well. The sandwiches are loaded with meat so well worth the money. I would definitely stop by again....and again and again.

Yelp
At the recommendation of a friend, we stopped here to pick up some sandwiches for our picnic in Presidio Park. Even though there was a big red sign on the side of the deli that said order here, they actually took our order at the counter with the cash registers. After they finish making your sandwiches, you can go back to the counter with any chips or drinks you've picked out in the store and pay for everything. I was intrigued by the wide variety of chips, which include not only your go-to staples, but also international and limited-edition flavors. As for the sandwiches, I shared a Fatboy's Special with my friend, and my sister ordered the Super Bird. Both were delicious, and generously portioned. My favorite part of any sandwich is the bread, and the onion roll did not disappoint. The only down side was trying to find a parking spot.

Bob S.

Yelp
We tried another place that was horrible so we went to Fatboys! We were so glad we did. The sandwiches were great and they use Boarshead meats, that's a plus. It's located in a liquor store so you can pick up so sought after booze for a price. The deli was very good and would recommend it. We ordered 10 sandwiches and everyone was happy.
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
I really wanted a great deli sandwich with quality ingredients and I don't have to tell you the bread expectation was very high in my minds eye. I ordered the blackened turkey, bacon with Gouda,L,T,mayo. Nothing fancy right... wrong very flavorful and finished with a spicy delight in your mouth. Crusty rye bread in its thick wonderfulness, I am ready to reorder, lest I am full I loved every bite of this Sammi I followed it up with the BLT which was everything a craving asked for in a which. The bacon was plentiful and cooked perfectly. Which obviously makes this a fresh ingredient winner.
google avatar

Tara M.

Yelp
Great sandwiches! We each had different sandwiches and all were excellent. All were fresh ingredients. We had the food delivered so I can't comment on the ambiance. We will buy again when we're are visiting

Amber K.

Yelp
So happy I finally tried this place!! Let me tell you that sandwich was DAMN good!! So fresh so amazing blew my mind. You know how your food is so good you want to watch a movie...yep that's what I felt lol the bread omg that onion roll was so delicious and fluffy. The ratios were on point they did not hold back on my veggie sandwich. Again super fresh quality ingredients! Now let's move on to the cherry on top!! That LEMON cake slice that LEMON cake slice took me to the gates of heaven I was in awe!! It was so moist so decadent the lemon flavor perfect the frosting was perfect the white chocolate shavings perfect! The cake had me in a choke hold. It took me on a high and a low low because I had none left... Will I be back? Absolutely!! No pics of the lemon slice finished it before my other half of sandwich oops!

Yelp
I've tried several different types of sammiches from here and I just don't get the hype. People rave about these sammiches, but there's really nothing special about them as far as I can tell. They are very basic and honestly easy (and cheaper) to just make at home myself. The staff has only been nice the last time I was there. Every other time, they have been very rude and acted annoyed with my friends and me. This last time, I ended up getting the Super Bird with sprouts and banana peppers. And I let them decide what bread I should get. I don't know if they make their pesto in house, but I didn't like it. It was very oily and bitter tasting. There was also barely any chicken on my sammich. They used the greens to make the sammich seem bigger than it actually was. The whole sammich was pretty dry somehow and just overall lackluster. I live close by, but won't be coming here unless my friends force me to. These are expensive sammiches for the lack of cohesive flavor and it's not worth it with the rude staff.
google avatar

Brittany K.

Yelp
Everything I'm looking for in a deli. The staff was so kind. Menu has a little bit of everything. Every possible drink / chip combo you could think of. AND a pickle and salad on the side? Done. Take my money.
google avatar

Jason W.

Yelp
Fatboy's is located in a lively part of North Park on University Avenue. Dad goes to a terrific podiatrist nearby (see my review for North Park Podiatry) and tells enough old man stories to the staff to give me time to walk over to Fatboy's for a sandwich. The liquor store part of the store has an amazing selection of domestic and international beverages as well as interesting snacks from around the world. You want some Korean Pringles and a Guinness? They've got 'em! The deli has an extensive selection of sandwiches and options for building your own. The sandwiches are large with lots of fresh ingredients. The deli counter staff and the owner are all super friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Alex M.

Yelp
Food is mediocre at best! NO parking unless you pay and the crap part is that they don't tell you that open at 9am but the deli doesn't open till 10am so I paid $16 for parking so there goes their tip. Food and all other items in store are over priced the girl that made my sandwich was very nice on the phone other than that, I'm really sorry but I will never go back to that place again. There's way Better sandwich places all around other than this.
google avatar

Khristopher T.

Yelp
Kind of a hole in the wall convenient store, that has super good sandwiches. This place is the real deal... Big portions and super tasty for everything they do. Great spices and ingredients if you're hungry come here.!
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Everyone's favorite deli in NP! Hot sandwiches, classic Reuben, and cool subs. Boar's Head meats and fresh veggies with a side of potato or macaroni salad. And to top it all off - a sour dill pickle. Awesome service but I would recommend placing an order in and pick up.
google avatar

Griffin F.

Yelp
Best sandwiches in the world and they are always cool and take care of me! Can't recommend enough!
google avatar

Devoney A.

Yelp
YES YES YES this pickle sandwich blew my mind I can't believe how delicious it was and the idea of making a GF sandwich like this. I'm in love and cannot wait to come back and get it again! Located in a busy area with limited parking on the weekends. 10 min wait for sandwiches you order at the Deli and pay at the counter!
google avatar

Maya K.

Yelp
Fun little deli on the corner in North Park! Staff was kind and smiley, and they had lots of sandwich options. All the ingredients looked and tasted super fresh! I got the "The Jerk" with Jerk Turkey, Chipotle Gouda Cheese, Avocado & Chipotle Mayo. It was flavorful and really good! I want to try their other veggie sandwiches I think I'd enjoy it even more. A bit pricey for a sandwich I will say... but if you're craving one this is a convenient spot! Besides the sandwiches, there was a tonnnn of drink options and so many chips it was fun to look at! They had tons of fun flavors and chips from other countries with unique flavors. I was pleasantly surprised!

Hayden W.

Yelp
Nice NY bodega vibe. Lot of options for drinks and snacks. Sandwich not crazy expensive... probably an acceptable pricepoint. Wait was a bit long for a sub like 15 mins. That said im obsessed with italian subs and I feel this one is just okay. The bread is fine but nothing memorably, and it got soggy on the 5 mins walk back to my place. The meat is boars head which is good, but theres not a ton on there and most bites were mostly bread and lettuce. They also used balsamic, which is not the vinegar that you want on an italian sub. Red wine vinegar is much less sweet and grapey. All in all it wasnt bad, but ill likely keep looking elsewhere for 'the one'

Yelp
Another foodie spot is giving North Park a good name. Fatboy's Deli makes tasty hearty sandwiches. I ordered the Fat Boy's special which was recommended by the cashier who provided excellent customer service! I was worried about the sandwich being "too big" or too packed with deli meat, but it was portioned perfectly. The ham, roast beef, and turkey were thinly sliced and it paired so well with veggies. The sandwich also came with your choice of a side of mac salad or potato salad. I personally liked the potato salad better. It's a small side, don't expect a big size. AND YOU CANT FORGET THE PICKLE! From a pickle-lover, I love that they offer a pickle as an additional side. Say lessss. Ambiance is loud. The deli is located inside a gas-station style market off the Main Street in north park. I love that about this deli because you can buy any chips, or drinks you want to pair with your sandwich. Outdoor seating only. I'm definitely coming back here, it's out new favorite sandwich spot in SD!! I swear, all the food I've had in north park has been top notch!
google avatar

Cora S.

Yelp
American classic, deluxe Italian, and turkey and cheese sandwiches were wonderful. Bread was so fresh! Large sandwiches! No indoor seating but a few tables outside on sidewalk. Street parking or paid parking. Service was friendly and helpful. Has the feeling of an old time deli. Definitely returning

Lee lee R.

Yelp
I want to give this place 5 stars at it deserves. But, I came here yesterday.... in the afternoon. So, I don't know if the roast beef was stored properly or if there was cross contamination. This was the only thing I ate. And, i had bad diarrhea. Sorry, TMI. Like I pooped water. And, had severe, shark stomach pain in my intestines..... it was wild. So, I had to leave this review.... I had the roast beef sandwich and had to make slight modifications. It was for the Sandwhich 'Hot Mama'. The Sandwich was neatly done , an interesting combo. But, if you put only 1 slice of cheese, please own up to it, instead of deny it and say you put 2 slices...... Coz, I could tell. And, although I know it's scary when confronted....It's best to be honest. It doesn't make sense 1 cheese for Deli Sandwhich...esp. for a Melted/Hot one. Young girl w glasses who took my order gave exceptional customer service and had good manners, which I absolutely appreciate. Thank you for giving me a slice to fix the problem. However, telling me the 1 slice of cheese was (2) and melted doesn't look accurate in the photos. But, I bless you! Male cashier offered great service yesterday. I appreciated it. 3-10-25

Yelp
When you walk in to an eatery and all the tables are taken, theres a line out the door and a bunch of people waiting, you know you came to the right place. The sandwiches are top notch. The ingredients are fresh and they use boars head deli meats/cheeses. I ordered the Blackened Turkey Gouda which was amazing. It came with a side of potato salad and a pickle spear. Portions are huge, I could have saved half for later but it was so good I devoured the whole thing. Service was excellent, I ordered by phone and it was ready as I walked in the door. Probably one of the best deli's in SD.

KS M.

Yelp
OMG! I'm back. Uber delivered my sandwiches earlier this afternoon. BLT with turkey and avocado. I meant what I said about this business being my favorite sandwich shop. Pure perfection with every bite! Consistently delicious ! After my 1st sandwich several years ago, I am still over the moon and impressed. Keep up the outstanding job... Fat Boys!
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
I will provide 3-stars only to this place. Sad really. Sandwiches are pretty darn good. They are sooo slow with preparing. Come on now 5-6 people in the sandwich area and it takes 25-30 minutes to pump out a sandwich. Don't waste your time waiting here. It's good but not worth the wait. Been here twice and same service both times. It's a SANDWICH not a steak at all sit down restaurant
google avatar

Rigo S.

Yelp
Ordered the Fat Bastard Sandwich and it was MASSIVE. Trudy do not skimp on the meat. Easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. It has 1/2 lb of sweet sliced ham, roast beef, and oven gold turkey. It also has FOUR slices of cheese and SIX slices of bacon. Oh my goodness. I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Highly recommend checking them out!
google avatar

Mikey H.

Yelp
Dang...I must be living under a rock! It's been a while and I'm so sorry I haven't been back. Honestly, parking is always an issue especially now with the dang bike lanes that no one uses...LOL! Got the Super Bird...and it is Super deelish!!! Chicken, pesto, mozzarella, cheese, and bacon. Sooooooo good! Also got extra mac salad, even though it does come with a small side. I have added FB into my rotation! Friendly workers and they also have a lot of other things you'd expect in a deli. There's also drinks I've never seen which is cool! Definitely worth checking out!
google avatar

Cindy R.

Yelp
We drive an hour for these fatboy sandwiches! These are delicious. You'll get addicted!
google avatar

Tess K.

Yelp
I am so glad we found Fatboy's Deli. We were driving and craving a good deli sandwich so I googled and Fatboy's was on of the suggestions. We decided to swing by and try it out. Parking is a little tricky in the area just because it's North Park, but we did find a lot where you pay for parking down the street. You walk in and it's a liquor store with a full deli in the back. Everyone is really friendly and they greeted us and promptly took our orders. They seem to be really busy too a lot of call in orders and I can see why. They also have a huge assortment of sodas and chips. Probably every soda and chip you can think of. Sandwiches are huge and come with your choice of potato or macaroni salad and a pickle spear on the side. Everything was amazing! My sandwich was perfect! They definitely do not skimp with the meats, cheeses or toppings. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
From the outside you wouldn't think there's a full deli service inside, but walk inside and you feel like you've been transported to a New York bodega. Half the store is your traditional corner convenience store and the other half is the deli area. They have a lot of sandwich options to choose from plus meats and breads. Their drink selection in the convenience store area was really vast and unique too. I got The Jerk sandwich which comes with chicken, Chipotle gouda cheese, avocado, and chipotle jerk sauce. It also comes with your choice of Mac salad or potato salad, so I chose the Mac. The sandwich was solid and had a lot of things that I like. However I felt that the sauce could've used more of a flavor punch to really help differentiate the flavors. Ultimately I liked it but this is a case of the sandwich is less than the sum of its parts.

Yelp
First time there. Service was great. Sandwiches were very good. The Blackened Gouda is our favorite.

Yelp
Being my first time coming to this deli I was a bit skeptical , although after devouring my sandwich I can say that is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had ! From the bread to the freshness of the veggies I can recommend this deli to anyone in the San Diego area!

Yelp
I was looking for a deli sandwich after my beer at pure project in north park and saw Fatboy's. It looked really good. I did not realize that this was a liquor store with a top of the line deli inside of it. The staff of the deli are incredible, they are pumping out quality sandwich after sandwich. They were getting order after order from their mobile platform. Since it is a liquor store the vibes are as such and there is no seating. Strictly togo orders. But man one of the best deli sandwiches I've had in San Diego.

Yelp
Pickle sandwich wasn't salty so in my opinion, I thought that was good so I could still enjoy the other condiments within the sandwich. Try it out! Keep in mind, you do loose some of the amount you would typically have in the sandwich (that's what the person said beforehand) great service!
