I absolutely love visiting the Fatcork cave! Obviously the champagne is amazing, but the people are always an absolute joy to talk with and the space is so cozy. It's genuinely the most pleasant place to visit!

Lovely, intimate place to experience real French Champagne! Our host, Joseph was super knowledgeable and gave us some great info on the growers that they work with in the Champagne region of France. He also had a lot of knowledge of our local Washington wine as well. Great experience!

Fat Cork is an absolute gem in Seattle — truly a one-of-a-kind champagne shop. The staff are warm, welcoming, and go above and beyond to make every customer feel special. What sets them apart is their exclusive focus on champagne, their personal connections with French growers, and the influence they have in bringing authentic, small-production bottles to the U.S. Their weekly tastings create an experience you won’t find anywhere else. They made such a lasting impression on me that I still order from them regularly, even though I live on the other side of the country.

Fatcork is the Champagne you never knew you needed! The focus on growers champagne is unique and I am not aware of another wine shop like Fatcork in Seattle. If you are just visiting Seattle, Fatcork is the perfect stop on the way to dinner. Call ahead and make an appointment, you will not be disappointed. Memberships are very reasonable, and their model to customize your wine selection by taste is really fun, and works really well. It's based on a survey about how you drink champagne, and the questions cover everything from when you drink champagne (yes, they ask if it's for breakfast!) To the time of year and types of food (including with eggs, or popcorn). They have never sent us a bad bottle of bubbles! If you are visiting in person they have dozens of champagnes by small producers you can only purchase at Fatcork. The tasting profiles are endless and the prices are all super reasonable. Tastings are fun, and the staff are nice to talk to and very knowledgeable. Many have even traveled to some of the locations and met with the producers in person and know them. If you're not sure, just go and check it all out, you will be glad you did!!

Where do I start. We have been a club member for years and love being a member. We love when we get a shipment. We love the variety and getting to drink real champagne and supporting local. Over Valentine's Day there was an issue with our orders and they went above and beyond to make it right. We are proud members and love being a part of Fatcork. 🥂 Cheers!

My favorite TOP SECRET and best Champagne resource, right here in Seattle! Grower maker Champagne is the beginning, middle, and end of true incredible Champagne! After all its the growers that know their terroirs best, and makers that know what Mother Nature originally intended for the menu. If you want to know the secret to a $6k bottle it's probably a grower maker behind the scenes. This cave hosts a tasting (3 labels) every Saturday (& weekdays they offer a smaller tasting option, but quieter & more intimate); buying a bottle covers the tasting fee. If you need pairing ideas the staff (especially John) knows; the tasting cards are an excellent resource, too! Before attending any event or if you need a gift look at their tasting cards or ask for pairing ideas. I always gift this to pair with dinners or add foods for a gift basket. You'll be the hero at any event, or the new best friend!!
