The 8 Best Hot Dogs in Miami

"Fatman's is a food truck that sets up in a parking lot on NW 54th Street, where it serves some of our favorite hot dogs in Miami. You get a choice of hot dog or sausage (we like the sausage, which has more of a kick to it). Then, pick one of Fatman's nine masterpieces, like the Mac Daddy topped with mac and cheese or the Fatman Philly covered in shaved steak that’s been crisped up on a flat top. There are a couple tables where you can eat in the parking lot in case you don’t want to be tortured by the smell of a delicious hot dog on the drive home." - charlie crespo, ryan pfeffer

Google
Seen this place on Love&Hip Hop Miami so wanted to check it out and it was good. in Miami on 54th st The Sausage Dogs are fresh and juicy along with toppings my order was tooken by Fatman himself. Presentation could have been better like the lemonade juices were in the cooler with no ice so drinks was not cold. We had the Bacon & Chicken Sausage Dog and the Steak & Bacon Sausge Dogs topped with house sauce and bell peppers and they were flavorful and good. and a side of tater tots.

Google
Hot Dogs are decent at best, customer service is bad, atmosphere and vibe is bad and they over charge without providing 100% accurate service.

Google
WOW!! This was so worth our time and money. The quality of the food is just standout, especially for a hotdog joint. The flavors were spot on, words cannot express how badly you need to try FatMans! Easy going atmosphere, parking on site, as well as tables and chairs. We got 3 dogs, Tots, and Lemonade. ALL WAS INCREDIBLE!!! We just did the ones suggested by the kind woman at the front! Later the legend himself walked up and offered us two free sodas. 10/10.

Google
Love it. As a Miami native this is an authentic Miami style sausage sandwich. This was my second time here. I ate it so fast the first time I didn’t take a picture. Quality food, great service. Clean environment. I had a traditional sausage with potatoes stick and onions. It was seasoned well… will revisit again.

Google
Good quality ingredients and the flavor combination is really good. Definitely some of the best hot dogs in the area. It’s on the salty side but a good salty. I recommend getting the sausages rather than the hot dogs.

Google
I wholeheartedly recommend FATMAN HOTDOGS & MORE! I tried them for the first time today and had an amazing experience! The food was delicious and they are professional and personable. I asked could they make the Mac Daddy hotdog with their Vegan sausage as a substitution and it was perfect! Their Tater Tots with the FATMAN sauce were amazing!! I appreciate them adapting to my dietary restrictions. Thank you all for a great experience!

Google
4/10 over hyped glorified hotdogs. NO u can't customize with different sauces atleast if you're NOT food blogger with following 🙄 $15 for a regular sausage dog. I love to support the hood but even the vibes wasn't even there. social media gas up anything

Yelp
I've been stalking this place for a while now because I live in Margate. This food truck is located in Miami, west of Wynwood. It's located in a parking lot of a commercial neighborhood. The service was friendly and the food was cooked fresh to order. I got the Mac Daddy with the Fatman Sauce and potato sticks and a side of Fatman Tots with Tot Sauce. First off, the Mac Daddy was MINDBLOWING. The dog was girthy and savory, almost like a kielbasa. The mac and cheese was creamy, the Fatman sauce gave it a nice kick and the potato sticks gave a welcome crunchy texture. The Fatman Tots were heavily seasoned before even dipping into the Tot Sauce, which was savory, sour, and slightly sweet. I might have preferred the Fatman Sauce to dip because the tot sauce plus the tot seasoning was a little too much for me, but that's just personal preference. Tot sauce with plain tots would be fire, too. Did I drive two hours roundtrip for a hot dog? Yes I did, and I would do it again for this place anytime.

Yelp
Not going to lie wanted to come here cause was seeing them on Instagram. But was finally in the area with my son. From what I seen on the menu they have of variety of hotdog combinations that all read good. Since my son is a toddler he didn't want any of them just a plan hotdog with ketchup. But me on the other hand I opted for the chicken Philly Hotdog which was very good. It all worked well together chicken and hotdog who would've thought. Service was cool too. Real simple; place your order they give you like a buzzer that buzzes when your order is ready. It all took maybe less then ten minutes. But will try it again and try something different next time.

Yelp
Straight to the point: getting a hot dog here is moreso an experience. Visited on a Friday evening around 6:30pm. Had tried to come at 1pm because the hours posted on tbeir social media started at 11am. However when I arrived at 1pm, I was told they were closed but would probably open at 3:30pm. The current setup (as of Jan 2024) is a food truck in a well-lit lot with picnic tables/benches and free parking. You pull in, walk up and order at the truck. Fatman is back there cooking. I like that they have a buzzer to alert when your order is ready. You can wait in your car or at one of the tables instead of standing around. The staff is not very talkative but efficient. The menu has several combinations of toppings available like mac & cheese, steak and grilled chicken. I just ordered a plain hot dog for the experience because when I want a hot dog, I just want a hot dog, no frills. It was seared on a flat top and appeared to be Nathan's. I got it simply dressed - ketchup, mustard, mayo & sauerkraut. Other than what I think was parsley in the sauerkraut, I felt ok about the hotdog. The most interesting part of my experience was the young goat standing (sleeping) in the corner of the lot. I believe she is an actual pet. Would never expect to see that at a hotdog stand but there ya go. Overall, glad to see someone following their passion, creating opportunities for others in the process and bringing something unique to the community. For the experience and something a little different, I could recommend a visit.

Yelp
Awesome awesome location. We had first come here about a year ago when he first started in a tarp by the auto zone. Now he had recently moved to his own spot and has a little food truck. There a few benches tables and chairs to enjoy the food. Service was great and they have DJ music playing. Area looks clean and well maintained and has a few parking spots. We had a hot dog with cheesesteak on top which was delicious and packed with flavor. The sausage with toppings was also delicious. And we decided to try the hotdog with vegan oxtail which was surprisingly good. Overall I would visit again.

Yelp
I think they have a great spot. It's shaded, the seating was well layed out and the food was great. It like a turkey leg hut for hotdogs/sausage sandwiches lol. The orange pepper chicken was my favorite even though the Mac was really good. The Mac is pretty heavy but well seasoned. Definitely will be back to try different combinations.

Yelp
Great Sausage sandwiches & hotdogs! Ordered ahead from the online menu & the food was ready when we arrived. We ordered the Fatman Fifty Plus Beef Hotdog, with Spicy Honey Lemon Pepper chicken, Grilled Bell Pepper, Grilled Onions and Fatman Sauce it was so good!!! We also ordered a Beef Sausage Sandwich with Grilled Onions, Fatman Sauce, Ketchup and Potato Stix. Will definitely visit again, staff was friendly and professional.

Yelp
Amazing food! Fatman is the place to be at if you ever want some good wangssss, hot dogs, sausages, and all The flavors danced around in my mouth in every bite I took! Fatman was incredibly respectful as well and his service made my experience 100x more enjoyable. One of the best foodtrucks in Miami fasho

Yelp
Ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sausage with Blueberry Lemonade. My fiancé ordered the Turkey sausage with onions and peppers and Strawberry Lemonade . Everything was Great only downside was the unavailability of Tater Tots even though we got there not too long after the business opened up for the day.

Tish S.

Yelp
They don't miss! Everything on the menu is good but the vegan oxtail sausage slap so hard. I used to only get one and then regret when it was gone. Now I get two - one for now and one for later! Yes, #BigBackBehavior but definitely worth it! If you haven't been here, you need to get here fast. They are going to blow up and you're not gonna be able to get the goods.

Yelp
First timer, wanted to support because it's a small black owned business. Sausage and hotdog brand is good. Not sure the brand but it's good. Steak and cheese sausage, no bun, was pretty good; however, I didn't like the cheese. It tasted like cheese wiz to me, and I felt he skimped on my steak, which I would have liked a little more seasoning on the steak. However, It's best not to over salt. I really couldn't taste the Fatman sauce. Chicken, bacon, ranch sausage was ok, however, there was a little too much mayo. The chicken needed a little more seasoning and more chips. Mac and cheese hotdog was just ok and hard to eat. Overall, There was no wow factor, but the experience was good, and I'd return. If you're in the area and have time, get 1.

Yelp
I love supporting small black owned businesses and asa fellow Fat Man, I was excited. My first time was underwhelming. The best thing was the young lady acting as hostess...her energy was wonderful! Food wasn't hot, my wait was almost 35 minutes with only 4ppl in line. I wish you all the best and I'll try another day. But something has gotta be done to make this more efficient

Yelp
I am not a hotdog person, as in my first option at choosing where to dine wouldn't be a hotdog joint but geesh these are good. I will definitely make this a first option when I'm in Dade county. Very tasty.

Yelp
From I saw a reel about Fatman Hotdogs on IG I wanted to go. Today we went and it was a great experience. The owner had a great personality, very funny and down to earth. I had the chicken bacon ranch hotdog (regular no add-ons) and it was a 10/10! My husband and his brother tried another type of hotdog that they also enjoyed. We ate right there and was sooooo tempted to buy more. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
Food was excellent and cooked to perfection . I would definitely recommend any and everyone to go check out Fatman Hotdogs and more. You will not be disappointed at all. Especially with the Fatman sauce
