I’ve had the privilege of dining in some of the world’s most exclusive, multi-Michelin-starred restaurants — yet this experience was truly something exceptional. From the very first moment, the design and atmosphere spoke of elegance and intention — warm, elevated, and beautifully composed. The service was outstanding on every level. The waitstaff were attentive without being intrusive, elegant without pretense — striking that rare balance between presence and subtlety. Every detail was handled with such professionalism and ease, it made the evening feel seamless and effortless. The food… unforgettable. Each course was a work of art — not only in presentation, but in the complexity and harmony of flavors. Bold yet refined, every bite revealed a new layer. The sommelier’s choices were impeccable and full of insight, elevating each dish to something almost transcendent. A remarkable experience from start to finish. Thank you for reminding us what true hospitality and culinary passion can feel like.

This is a fabulous restaurant. No question. Exceptional in every way. The modern building with glass everywhere (which I think mostly slides away for Al Fresco dining) has a stunning appearance and outlook. There’s nowhere comparable in Budapest. Bravo Fausto (and his charming son Marco), you have raised the bar to an impressive height!

This place has always been a favorite—not just because the food is top-notch, but because you can really feel the passion Fausto and his team put into everything they do. The St. Jakob scallops were outstanding, and the risotto with fresh truffle (which we requested specially) was absolutely perfect. The wine list is thoughtfully curated too. And the new location? Modern, stylish, but still warm and welcoming. Perfection

A 30-years young STAR is reborn!! Since its opening in the new location on the Buda side, I visited 3 times and what a culinary JOY it has been every single time. Modern DESIGN with classic touches, unparalleled attention to details, coupled with superb Italian CUISINE and an extraordinary SERVICE team. Who needs a Michelin star? Fausto’s STAR is already shining brighter than the competition’s.

The food was generally very good or good. All staff members were kind and attentive. The one items which was not very special was the tiramisu. This is the reason for the four stars.

My husband took me for a pre valentine splurge . This is where you go when you KNOW you are getting your moneys worth ! Impeccable service, gorgeous atmosphere, great music and fine dining vibe . The Fausto’s restaurant in Budapest offers a truly outstanding dining experience. The lamb, lobster pasta, prawns, and beef tartare were all prepared to perfection, beautifully paired with Maurice Grumier Champagne. Special praise goes to the restaurant manager, who has been working alongside Fausto for more than 20 years, and whose professionalism and elegance set the tone for the entire service. Fausto’s is a genuine culinary gem in Budapest – highly recommended for all discerning guests.
