I felt the food was good. I actually enjoyed the environment. Love the energy of the owner and the staff was great. The plating was a little much and the chili is good. I don't know about it winning any competitions but no complaints here. Thank you for a great time.

Google
Very old school cafe with a rich history. Very pleasant staff, great food, and reasonable prices. Everyone worked together as a team to make sure everything and everyone was cared for. This was a small town and pleasant experience...something hard to find today. And they serve breakfast all day. Very much recommended.

Google
We were so excited to try this cute little diner! We were greeted by a very friendly staff and pointed to the only table to accommodate 6 of us! Service was excellent, staff was so sweet & friendly. So much so that I ate my burger without complaining, but was I So, so disappointed in the food! 4 of us ordered the Fava Beer Cheese burger and menus said fresh burger, never frozen. So my mouth was watering waiting to try this burger and it looked so good when it came out! But Unfortunately it was so over done it was almost dried out, like it had already been cooked and just warmed up. All 4 of us who got a burger were all the same. The bun, beer cheese and condiments were all good and fresh so we choked our burgers down. The fries were not hot and not fresh like they’d been sitting under a light for a while. We did get there 1 hour before closing so guessing that may be the reason for the quality of food we were served. My husband had the fried catfish dinner and he said it was pretty good! Another friend had the Hamburger steak dinner and he said it was “ok”. Such a cute friendly little diner, maybe this was just an off night near closing time!

My family and I have been going to Fava’s recently and the food is awesome!!! All of the breakfast items are delicious, my grandchildren love the pancakes and bacon. They are picky eaters, too, so it’s great that they love to go to Fava’s. My daughter loves their chicken salad and my husband enjoys the steak sandwich, the burgers and the open face roast beef! As for me, I love their breakfast items and some breakfast items are served all day. I love their hot brown and the catfish is better than anywhere I have eaten catfish! As for desserts, they have ice cream, cookies and homemade pies that are delicious. The cost of the meals are reasonable! The employees and owners were friendly and very kind. This diner is truly a hidden jewel….

Google
Visited for the first time and had the hot brown. Firstly everyone was friendly, our waitress was informative and super sweet. The hot brown was not good, it was spicy which would have been fine had I been expecting it but I just tasted like cardboard, nothing fresh about it, even the tomato. Its a cute diner but I wouldn't go eat again.

When travel, I always try to find regional food. I came to try a Kentucky hot brown and I was not disappointed! Casual atmosphere with excellent service. This northern girl has never had one to compare, but the dish was rich, well cooked, and tasty! The peanut butter chocolate pie was decadent and perfect for sharing a slice. Prices were excellent.

Google
If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I have lived in Georgetown for 8 years and this was the first time trying this amazing food! We will definitely be back! Amazing! If want some good home cooked food then this is the spot!

Google
Enjoyed a fantastic lunch on this cold day. Four of us had each a different meal and all hot and delicious. I had the breakfast hot brown and it was fantastic. Probably one of the best breakfast plates I have ever had. Our server was excellent and very accommodating. The prices were very good with excellent portions. Will be back.

Yelp
On a recent Saturday, we had friends visiting from Huntsville, and--like always--a tour of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail was part of the plan. After leaving yet another distillery, the ladies in our group wanted to head to Georgetown for some shopping. But before the shopping could begin, we needed lunch. We had stopped at Fava's a few weeks earlier with another group of friends for breakfast, and it was excellent. With that great experience in mind, we decided to try Fava's again, this time for lunch. The décor is classic Old Town Kentucky--exactly the kind of place that brings back childhood memories of small-town restaurants. Charming, comfortable, and familiar. We seated ourselves and looked over the menu. I went with the chili cheese hot dog with fries. My wife and one of our friends chose the open-faced Reuben, and the last member of our group ordered the club sandwich. Every dish was excellent. The club sandwich was so large it required a to-go box. Before leaving, everyone except me ordered pie to go-- Fava's pies are legendary, at least to my wife and me. I skipped dessert this time and immediately regretted missing their ice cream options. We dropped the pies off in the car (it was cold enough outside to keep them safe), and then the ladies headed off to explore the shops of Georgetown. And I cannot leave out the wait staff, very attentive and friendly . This was my second visit to Fava's, and both times have been outstanding. I'm already looking forward to our next "shopping trip" to Georgetown so I can enjoy their food again--and this time, I won't miss out on the ice cream.

Yelp
Excellent Rueben and maybe the best cole slaw I've ever had! So delicious. Nice, cozy atmosphere in there, too. I was too full to try their pie, and it was too hot for me to get one to-go, but it looked amazing! No major complaints, but when we arrived, someone just yelled from kinda far back for us to seat ourselves and then the available tables didn't look like they'd been cleaned.

Yelp
Visited again in 2025 and sat down this time. Service was quick and friendly and food was good! It was very busy, but it was a Sunday afternoon.

Brian W.

Yelp
Parked directly in front and walk right in on a Saturday around 130pm. Started with a bowl of fried banana peppers. They were crispy and hot. Got a lunch sized hot brown. Came out with plenty of cheese sauce and a good seeing of ham and turkey on Texas toast. Ended the meal with a slice of butterscotch pie which was awesome
google avatar

Lexie R.

Yelp
What an amazing little diner, the best fried pickles I've ever had in that ranch. I could drink by the gallon, so well balanced and just taste of depth the fried pickles and fried green tomatoes were fried lightly. They weren't stopping in grease and they had just enough flavor just send them over the top. The sink was a little under season to say the least there was hardly any flavor on it but the hashbrowns southern potatoes in French toast and eggs were all cooked to perfection. I think they need to use a thicker French toast just to add a little more depth to their dishes. The gravy is outstanding. It had good flavor very wholesome vibes seating with a little crunch, but it goes with the vibes. Our waitress was really busy so I'm not gonna complain about the lack of service cause it was slammed and Wright police slow, but our waitress were still very nice and got our order in as soon as she could we would love to come back here

Yelp
Delicious food, friendly staff, free ice cream for kids. What more can you ask for? Loved my country fried steak. Husband's fried catfish was delicious. Hush puppies were just what I wanted.

Yelp
Stopped in this restaurant for lunch today. It was okay but nothing great and disappointed in the service. Order 3 cheeseburgers and only 2 had cheese on them. Asked for condiments and the waitress assured they were added but NO! Milkshake was okay but again nothing to go here for. It was expensive and bad service. It looks good but I won't go out of may way to return.

Yelp
What a wonderful, small diner in the charming town of Georgetown! Delicious food, wonderful hospitality, super friendly staff, and owner, what a great time we had... And the pie was amazing! What a gem! Will be back!
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Amazing breakfast. Our server Rebecca was great - such a happy smile. Portions were huge - excellent value. we will be sure to come again the next Bourbon Trail trip through Georgetown.
google avatar

Julie W.

Yelp
Fava's definitely exudes hometown diner. From the historic building to the displays of the local high school banner. We had lunch there and the service was phenomenal for how busy it was. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food is definitely Americana and very good. The grilled tuna melt was delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Always love coming to Favas! It's a great hometown place and we've always bed. Warmly greeted and very nicely taken care of! Today was no exception! We stopped in for an early brekkie and Emily too excellent care of us. The coffee was always there, fresh, and hot. Zoey got the fried egg sandwich with sausage and hash browns (her fave potato type) and the egg was perfect cooked and served on a toasted croissant. You know how when you get the egg and it's hot just a little if that goo left? That's how this was done. It looked amazing and Zoey seemed thrilled. I got the breakfast burrito and it can with all kinds of goodness inside. Veggies, egg and cheese along with BOTH sausage and bacon! Whoa! And the tortilla was golden crisp. Served with home fries, it was perfect. Just love coming here. Thanks to Emily and the whole team for another great experience!
google avatar

Greg L.

Yelp
Service is excellent. Rebecca and Morgan took care of a large group we were with excellence Handicap accessibility is Neil. None no access to the bathrooms no bars really hurt my experience otherwise I'd get a higher star rating
google avatar

Carly L.

Yelp
The burgers were good , the roast beef and mashed potatoes lunch was cold and the butterscotch pie wasn't good ... there was a weird aftertaste ... the chocolate peanut butter pie was the star of the day ! Would go back but wouldn't make it a priority...

Doram-Seger T.

Yelp
Service was good, food was good. I would return to this establishment. 4 stars because there is always room for improvement.
google avatar

Chelsea M.

Yelp
Service was a amazing. Even the owner was coming around table to table to check to make sure there were no issues. Our waitress was super friendly and our food definitely hit the spot.. but let me say even if you're not terribly hungry and need a snack stop in for a slice of their chocolate pie. It is to die for.
google avatar

Erik L.

Yelp
Our son goes to Georgetown College so we were in town from CA for Senior Day for the baseball team. I travel a lot so I try to find local places. Fava's was great! Good home cooked food and friendly wait staff. We will definitely be back on our next visit!
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
The food was excellent and so was the service. One of the best breakfasts in Georgetown!

Patsy L.

Yelp
I love omelets and in all honesty , I had one of best omelets in a long time . Favas 1910 diner is a small and cozy diner where people are served large amounts of food at reasonable prices. The wait staff is professional, pleasant and doesn't rush the customers. When you are in Georgetown Ky., make sure your breakfast served here. Oh yeah, get a slice of pie!
google avatar

Jeremy J.

Yelp
This is a nice little diner on main street in the heart of town. We went in and were seated immediately. It was a crowded diner because it was lunchtime on a Saturday. We've never been here before and we like little places like this. The ambience is nice on the inside. They have TVs and a bar and local memorabilia. The food that we got was good. I got a chicken fried steak mashed taters wife got BLT and chips both for $10 so good price the owner was super nice. He walked over and gave us free pie because we had to wait a little longer than usual so he was very nice overall I do recommend it and I would go back.

Vita B.

Yelp
Hi y'all, FAVAS has great southern food and The ambience is amazing. I love looking at the news articles and decorative pieces. I can imagine my grandparents coming here in 1910!! Nicest people here, especially Ruby!! She's the best waitress this side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We're coming from Reno, NV to visit with her. The two owners are epic! C u soon V and D
google avatar

Wood W.

Yelp
Great warm friendly service coupled with delicious homemade food. What a pleasure to stop here for lunch while in horse country.
google avatar

Shannon W.

Yelp
Great Coffee and amazing omelet. The only thing better was the customer service! Very clean and a great atmosphere. If you're looking for a great place to meet with family, a friend, or co-worker for breakfast, look no further than Fava's Restaurant!

T P.

Yelp
What an enjoyable dinner! Food was great and prices can't be beat. I'd been craving a Hot Brown, and wasn't disappointed. Brown beans were definitely homemade and perfectly seasoned. Megan, our server, was so sweet and attentive. Papa Dean, the owner, personally checked in to make sure all was good. The homemade desserts were the perfect ending. Don't overlook this local restaurant in Georgetown.

Deana C.

Yelp
Service was friendly and quick. Menu offered a lot in all categories. Loved the fried hot pickles. Loved the Hot Brown (toast, Turkey, ham, tomato, bacon with cheese sauce on top). Best of all many pies to select from. Coconut cream pie. Great. Restaurant a bit noisy but with happy sounds. Crowded because food is great.

Robert B.

Yelp
Food was great. Service was friendly and attentive. Great diner atmosphere. Pictures on the walls showed the history of the area.

Bernadette E.

Yelp
Excellent catfish and Fava chips! Really wonderful pies--took home peanut butter chocolate pie, coconut cream pie, and butterscotch pie. Our server was fantastic, just the right amount of attentive and so cheerful on an incredibly busy day.
google avatar

Melissa H.

Yelp
*Vegetarian Review* We were seated instantly on a Monday morning. I ordered the veggie omelet and potatoes. The service was wonderful and attentive but the food was just bland. The potatoes were not seasoned and the omelet was crowded with barely cooked veggies that were added on the fold so the eggs did not soak up any flavors. You will need ketchup and salsa if you order this.

Yelp
Fava's is one of my favorite restaurants to go when I visit Georgetown. It's right in the middle of downtown so it is not hard to miss. I feel like I am at a 50's diner because of all the vintage decorations. The food also reminds me of a 50's diner because they serve the typical diner food. The food is great. I've tried many things off their menu and have no complaints. They have some of the best milkshakes. I have to have one every time I visit. The service is usually pretty quick and the food is fairly cheap for how much you get.

Joe W.

Yelp
Great food at a fair price. Home town atmosphere jn the down town city area. Service was excellent! Great atmosphere
google avatar

Hannah B.

Yelp
Great stop in for a bite before heading home. It is located in the small downtown area of Georgetown and you can tell it is popular with the locals! We found a seat and I ordered the breakfast burrito and hubby ordered the Denver omelet. Very reasonable portions and the service was great. I got the hash browns extra crispy and they were very good! Glad we made the stop in!

Robin L.

Yelp
We moved to Georgetown six months ago from New Jersey and Favas has become our go to breakfast place. Ambiance is reminiscent of an old fashioned east coast diner. The food is good and cooked to order. The service is very friendly. The breakfast menu is really good (my family love the burrito). They also have homemade pies that look wonderful. Give it a try. We really like it
google avatar

Billy P.

Yelp
We were passing through headed to Cumberland Gap and stopped in Georgetown for dinner. Fava's is a gem...our dinner was outstanding & the staff was excellent and friendly. After hearing that everything is scratch-made we were very impressed and will definitely be back!

Bobby K.

Yelp
Everything was awesome! Home made biscuits and gravy were delicious! Patty melt with the best rye bread. And don't forget the home made pies!
google avatar

Kia K.

Yelp
Stopped for lunch on our way from Lexington to Cincinnati. Diner style restaurant tucked into a very cute downtown area. Great service. Our waitress was very nice and very prompt with everything. We all liked what we ordered. I got a classic burger. Others had the tuna melt and steak sandwich. A nice stop if you're looking for something quick and local!
google avatar

Lucky B.

Yelp
We went here for breakfast, food is hype up. Not really good, bland. I have the worst hot chocolate, very stale, I can taste a tap water like from it and it seems like a Hershey syrup that was mix in the hot water very not worth it. Service is ok, and ambiance is uniquely vintage but they can do better.

Fat Man Reviews K.

Yelp
A short drive up the interstate took Fat Man Reviews to Fava's Restaurant in Georgetown, KY. Fava's Restaurant is a family owned restaurant that has been around since 1910. They serve southern plates and desserts. We started with the Frickles. The pickles were hamburger chip cut, they were lightly breaded and fried to an amazing crunch. They were served with homemade ranch, which was some of the best that I have ever had. I also tried the Chili. It was made with hamburger, beans, onions, tomatoes and juice. It was a thick and hearty dish but was not spicy at all. Furthermore, it was a good stick to your rib's chili, I really enjoyed it. My fiancé tried the Soup & 1/2 Sandwich, which came as a whole sandwich. She had the special of the day, Vegetable Beef and upgraded to a grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was on white(wheat, Texas toast, Rye and a hoagie is an option), came with cheddar and Swiss. It was grilled to perfection and the cheese was melted and gooey. The soup was made with vegetables out of a can and hamburger, not a roast as I have typically seen. Again this was a hearty, thick dish that had been cooked all day and the flavors had married together. It reminded me more of a burgoo than a soup, but it was delicious. I tried the Award Winning Catfish, with homemade tartar sauce, hush puppies and fries. The fries were cooked to a golden crunchiness, the cornmeal hush puppies were as well. The catfish was served in nuggets, cornmeal breaded and fried to perfection. The fish was moist and flaky, and the creamy slightly sweet tartar sauce was great as well. I can see how it is award-winning. Fava's Restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner plates. As well as soups, sandwiches, burgers and salads. They also serve beer and wine The place is small, so there may be a wait, and the wait staff is excellent. Fava's Restaurant is Fat Man Approved and Recommend.

Yelp
Very cute diner decor, counter seating along w/ booths & tables. Ice Cream & Shakes. Great menu. Bacon, Eggs & Cheese Croissant & the Ham & Eggs were exactly what we needed to start the morning. Croissant was flaky & fresh. Coffee always refilled & great service. Filling portions & will be back to try the lunch menu also. Popular place that's been around since 1910, very busy w/ locals. Excellent area w/ lots of shops to walk it off. Parking on the street was easy to find as well.

Jon B.

Yelp
The service is truely southern hospitality Food was excellent The owner came out to greet us . I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys good food good price and good service

Lexis P.

Yelp
Passing through to head home to Michigan, and checked this cool diner out! Food was amazing, portion was huge, the service is friendly! The owner thanked us for coming in, which you don't see that often! Environment was great, everyone was enjoying themselves! Cute

Sowmya L.

Yelp
Visited this place on Saturday for brunch ! Lovely tiny place and looked quite busy but we dint have to wait to be seated thou ! That was good. We mainly went in for the omelette but got to know they serve only till like 11ish.. so I right away went for the dessert and ordered a blueberry tart for breakfast! Lol yummm!! It actually wasn't that sweet as it looks! I was actually able to finish them . Next time I'll probably try their cream tarts !! Meanwhile my husband ended up ordering a grilled cheese sandwich with fries! The fries were really crispy ! I would recommend you to try it out ‍
google avatar

Kelly J.

Yelp
Fava's Restaurant is really good. It's a small hole-in-the-wall type local diner spot, that's great to check out if you're in the downtown Georgetown area. I had heard mixed reviews about this spot, but I wanted to check it out, and I'm glad I did. I opted to go for breakfast, so I still need to go back at some point for lunch or dinner, but the breakfast was pretty good. I ordered the Country Boy's Favorite platter with eggs, hashbrowns, country ham, biscuits, and gravy. The ham, eggs, and hashbrowns were delicious, but the biscuits and gravy weren't my favorite. I'm not sure how they make their gravy, but it tasted packaged, and the biscuits were too hard and dry. So, if I make my way back for breakfast, I'll opt for toast or another option. My sister-in-law ordered pancakes, and she wasn't a fan of them, but I thought they were quite good. They weren't the best I've ever had, but what they lacked in fluffiness they made up for in flavor. And, personally, I always enjoy a mix of sweet and savory breakfast options, so between my breakfast selection and hers I really enjoyed my meal. If you're in the area I think this is a good place to stop in for a meal. I look forward to going back and trying some more of their menu options.
google avatar

Nancy A.

Yelp
We tried them for breakfast and enjoyed it so much we went back for dinner! Can't match the history and hospitality when the fifth generation owner comes to the table to check on you and visit and promote his small town.
google avatar

Emily D.

Yelp
Great diner experience on a bustling Main Street. Rare these days to have an old fashioned diner with homemade pies.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Sometimes simple and straightforward is just the best. Stopped into Fava's on the way to Cinci. It was a good choice. Had the Hot Brown with ham. It was delicious. Home fries cooked to perfection, gravy was good as well and everything blended together for a great breakfast. The meal came out hot and fresh. Coffee was good. My daughter had the breakfast sandwich in biscuits. She enjoyed them as well. The atmosphere is quaint. It's old time dinner because that's what it is, not what they are trying to make you feel like. Enjoyed our visit.
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
Must stop on your road trip, great food and super super friendly staff. The family has been running the place since 1910. Make sure you order a slice of pie or a milkshake both are always excellent. I either choose Lemon or apple and the Beer Cheese Burger is worth the calories.
google avatar

M E.

Yelp
We stopped here for brunch on way to backpacking at Red River Gorge. This place is tucked away in the downtown setting. It has been there since 1910 and has a very nostalgic diner feel. You seat yourself when arriving and we were immediately greeted with fresh and hot coffee. We both order the Country Boy Breakfast that includes eggs, your. House of protein, has browns or home fries, and a healthy portion of gravy and biscuits for a side. The order came out quick and hot. Everything was seasons great and cooked to order. The service was fast and friendly making this a fantastic experience before our hike. Definitely worth going a few miles off the highway to try out if you are driving through the area.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Nice local restaurant that has been here more than 20 years. Ordered just for Mama breakfas Eggs just slightly over cooked but taste was good on everything. Waitress was very friendly. Definitely worth the stop. Service was quick and didn't feel I was waiting for anything.
google avatar

Milke D.

Yelp
Local burger joint in old downtown Georgetown. Looked like an interesting place and the interior decor matches the business model but, food itself was pretty bland and somewhat disappointing. Probably a good beer and burger hang out for the college crowd.
google avatar

Dawn S.

Yelp
We were looking for a small locally owned diner for breakfast/lunch after a weekend at Railbird. This place didn't disappoint. Place was busy with a mix of locals and travelers. Waitress was busy, efficient and friendly. Food portions were perfect for the price.
