Fazenda Santa Vitoria, Queluz, São Paulo, Brazil - Explore & Book

"If it wasn’t for the caipirinha in your hand and tropical leaves swaying in the mountain breeze, the views from Fazenda Santa Vitória could be mistaken for a dramatic Swiss landscape. The Mantiqueira Mountains frame this Brazilian 19th-century farmhouse, which has seen its pastures produce coffee and sugar cane in years gone by. Today, 300 dairy cattle gently graze the land, which is permeated with nature trails, protected by a stream and has its own waterfall for wild dips. The Paraíba Valley, meandering near the state border between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, is the setting for Fábia's fabulous farm. She and her team welcome couples, friends and families on a full-board basis to their farmhouse and kitchen like old friends. We absolutely cannot wait to pay a visit and become part of the family. Step inside and feel echoes of Brazil’s colonial past through the furniture and artefacts adorning the 13 rooms and mountain houses. If you can tear yourself away from the rolling hills and charcoal mountains (the views are enough to stop you mid-conversation) there are pure linen bed sheets to spread out on, a welcoming organic restaurant, a pool to cool off in, and a wood-fired sauna and caldarium waiting to melt away the last of the modern world’s tensions. Highs If you’re looking for peace and tranquillity, you’ve found it here. Streams, waterfalls and mountains – the ideal setting to meditate on lifeOr if you're feeling more active, there's tennis, horse riding, bocce, wild swimming and moreMariza’s organic farmhouse cooking has been winning guests over, and we can’t wait to try itDiscreetly perceptive host Fábia will ensure every serene moment blends flawlessly. Feel slightly chilly? She’ll bring blankets and light the fire before you’ve even askedDespite feeling a million miles from anywhere, the farmhouse is actually quite close to the main BR-116 road linking Rio and São Paulo Lows Fazenda Santa Vitória is closed Monday-Wednesday, with some exceptions in January and JulyNo TV in the rooms and guests have noted patchy WiFi, but this is a chance to digitally disconnect for a whileBe aware that it's 2.5-3 hours' drive from São Paulo or Rio airports, but transfers can easily be arranged if you don't fancy the driveThe Mountain Houses are 800m down a road, so you'll need to make the small trek back to the main house for all your meals" - Handpicked by our hotel experts

As guests at the Fazenda Santa Vitoria we have enjoyed excellent and friendly service, impeccable rooms and infrastructure, and delicious cuisine with the freshest ingredients. The mountainous scenery and exuberant nature completed our awesome experience. Thanks for the hospitality!

Lovely farm hotel, extremely (!) friendly staff, great for a weekend stay for couples or also for family gatherings, good food, we especially enjoyed breakfast (the yoghurt is fantastic!), visiting the cheese factory was a nice activity, horseback riding as well, having meals at different locations (lunch near the waterfall, dinner at the Haras, breakfast in the garden) was brilliant. My only complaint: The mattress was too soft for my taste.

From the moment we arrived, the Fazenda exceeded all expectations. The staffs' incredible attention to detail was evident in everything from the gorgeous ambience and decor to the amazing food and service. My friends and I stayed at the mountain house and were absolutely blown away by the accommodations as well as the breathtaking view that could be seen from anywhere inside. The gorgeous deck overlooking the mountains was an unexpected bonus and the table set and lounge chairs out there were a favorite spot to relax and enjoy the picturesque scenery. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we had our first meal...and second...and third...I cannot say enough good things about the food (and drinks) here! Everything is super fresh and beyond delicious. The friendly service and beautiful grounds cannot be beat and were the cherry on top of a perfect stay. We hope to be able to visit again soon!

My friends and I stayed at the mountain house and it was nothing short of amazing. It was a two bedroom suite with 2 baths along with living room and kitchen. The most picturesque view of the mountains with glass sliders that open up to a beautiful wooden deck. There are horses and other farm animals to enjoy. Food was delicious, esp the fresh yogurt. Yum! Definitely would recommend. 5 stars.

This past weekend I went to an event here and had a wonderful time. The attention to detail for the event was like nothing I’ve ever seen. The food was incredible as was the service. The only negative I’m going to say is I wish that I had more time there!! I stayed in your room at the main house which was really convenient since breakfast was only steps away. They also offer some private rooms a little further away from the main house just in case you want some extra privacy.

After 9 months of coronavirus pandemic with lockdown, our family got together at the Fazenda for a small celebration. Everybody was tested before to be sure we could enjoy and feel relaxed together. It was memorable! The Fazenda combines elegance and comfort in a unique location embedded in exuberant nature. Fabia Raquel and her team warmly welcomed us and created that homey feeling we were craving for.

With air travel out of the question at the moment, my husband and I decided to take a few week-ends away exploring the RJ and SP countryside. Fazenda Santa Vitoria was our first stop and a great one! An authentic setting, in the middle of beautiful nature; great staff, good honest food and all the countryside luxury you need... the bar has been set high for our next adventures!
