FDNY Engine 54/Ladder 4/Battalion 9

I have to say this is one of the friendliest fire houses I’ve had the pleasure to tour. I wanted to pay my respects to the fallen of 911 and meet the new firefighters. The kindness I was showed was heartfelt. They LOVE their career! Please if you are ever in NYC come to this one and purchase a shirt or patch in support of them!!!! Visited on 27/10/25 which was coincidentally National First Responder Day, so the guys were pretty busy with preparing for there attendance at Time Square Ceremony. Made to feel extremely welcome at the Firehouse. We gifted some fire T-shirts I had from the UK. Total respect from a WYFRS Retired Fire Officer Uk to the guys & gals at FDNY engine 54/ladder 4 Battalion 9, Pride of Midtown.

It will remain a very good memory of our trip to New York. Thanks to the boys for showing us the barracks, maybe we'll come back one day ! (We want the calendar)

I visit this house every time I go to Manhattan and pray. My first visit was less than a month after 9-11 and have gone back 5 times, the last time being December 2024 with my granddaughter, her husband and son. I was sorry to see that their logo no longer consists of the comedy and tragedy masks, specially since I’m a New Orleans native and Mardi Gras ended last week here.

Dear Guys, thank you for your warm welcome on Sunday morning! My wife and I enjoyed the talk we had very much. Im a cop from London, and had the pleasure of meeting a FDNY fire fighter named Dan, these guys are real life super heroes. Couldn't of been more kind and friendly, after working night shift! Answered all my questions, and kindly allowed me to take some pictures, what an amazing guy. These guys are a credit to the world. Thank you all for your service x
