Feast BBQ

We had a guys trip to Louisville and decided to check out Feast BBQ. We were not disappointed. The food was fast, plentiful and excellent. We all started with their bourbon slushees which were very good. I got the loaded tots and pork cake poppers. They recommend the poppers. It was something ! would not have ordered because I didn't know what they were. All I can say is give them a try as the my were very tasty. Hard to describe other than a friend ball of goodness. I didn't get a chance to try all of the BBQ options. I will have to come back again.

Stopped by Feast BBQ for dinner in Louisville and ordered the brisket sandwich with tater tots. The quality was excellent — tender, smoky, and full of flavor. The toasted bun and house BBQ sauces added a nice touch, and the tots were perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. That said, the value just isn’t quite there. $18 for a brisket sandwich and one side felt a bit steep, especially given the portion size — the sandwich wasn’t very large. Still, if you’re after quality barbecue and don’t mind paying a little extra, Feast delivers on both taste and atmosphere. The open, industrial-style space gives it a relaxed, local vibe, and parking is free and easy out back.

My wife and I were heading home to Michigan and decided to take a detour for lunch break and came here. We enjoyed the simple process of ordering our food, paying, and being seated, and the food arrived within 5 minutes, and Wow, did it taste good. We enjoyed the easygoing atmosphere and then we left and walked around the town. Highly recommend!

Brisket, Yum, pork, Yummy. Really enjoyed the bread pudding sticks for dessert. The frozen boozy drink was also fantastic.

The pulled pork sandwich and tater tots are excellent! Super fast out of the kitchen (but we went around 2 pm). One of the best BBQ places in Louisville!

Although we ordered take-out, the food was still warm when I got home. Everything was seasoned well, large portions and taste delicious 😋 (brisket sandwich and baked beans) This was my first visit which was highly recommended by friends. The next time I will dine, the atmosphere looked fun and inviting.

Came in about 15 minutes before closing so I should have known better. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I wish I hadn’t. Dry but greasy, and over salted. Just wasn’t good. Couldn’t finish it and then went out for pizza. I’m sure I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I did get water to drink so thank you.

I got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries and an order of banana pudding. Everything was phenomenal, no notes! The sandwich was piled high with pork, which was tender and flavorful. The restaurant had self-serve sauces available and the hot vinegar went very well with the sandwich. The fries were hot and fresh, with a nice crunch. The banana pudding was rich and creamy. I also thought the prices were very fair, especially for the portion sizes.

Our large group stopped here during our history and food tour of NuLu and were WOWed with the bourbon slushie with Ale 8 as an ingredient. We also had a pork cake with crunchy creamy slaw placed atop a delicious barbecue sauce. This was a first for everyone and one that we all agreed would be a repeat order in the future. In fact, I'm determined to return here in the next two weeks with friends to introduce them to this incredible food item. When one discovers fire, it is even better when shared with friends. Several of the business' namesake sauces were available at each table -- original, hot, and vinegar. I tried a bit of all 3 and each was wonderful. The restaurant was half-full during our visit and noise level is mild to moderate. Service staff were friendly and helpful. Looking forward to a return visit very soon to share the experience.

Underwhelmed. I was in town for a few days and asked around where to get some good bbq, and feast was on the top of many locals list. I went for lunch, arrived around 1:15pm after the lunch rush and was able to order and get our food quickly. First the Mac and cheese balls arrived fresh and molten lava hot! Then came the sandwich. I was excited and hungry not having eaten all day. The brisket inside the sandwich was not hot. Barely warm. The meat was getting harder and seemed like it was sitting. I was hungry and had taken a few bites thinking it might be one piece I was unlucky with. Unfortunately, the sandwich was a let down. I definitely got a bad trip, but could not recommend this spot.

Early Friday dinner here was great, it was not too busy when we got there around 6pm. We walked in, ordered at the counter and our food was brought out to us by our table number. The service was OK, mostly self serve since you order at the counter and get your own drinks at the fountain. The inside had some fun decorations, I loved the wall with big Kentucky state outline that showed major distilleries throughout the state. However, the bathrooms were pretty nasty and very dark. The food we ordered was good! I got the pimento cheese pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries and my husband got brisket tacos with tater tots! I think this would be good spot for a quick dinner if you're wanting some good BBQ!

When craving a good plate of meat, Feast BBQ is usually on my list of places to frequent. When it comes to BBQ, Louisville is not short on places to go for a saucy good meal. I have been to feast in the past and enjoyed my visit, which I was expecting this time around. I ordered the brisket plate with a side of tater tots. The brisket was sliced which was great. I tried the hot BBQ sauce and this sauce is just the perfect amount of spice and flavor. While the meat is tender, I don't feel like the meat has any flavor. There's nothing taking the brisket to the next level besides the sauce. I wish there was some kind of seasoning on the brisket that blended well with the sauce for a great experience. I noticed the same issues with the Mac and cheese and tater tots. Each side could use some flavoring to boost its aura. Note that nothing bad here, you will be satisfied with the taste and quality of the food. However I just believe there could be more done to the food to make it remarkable.

Everyone seems to love this place but I really don't see the hype. I think it's fine, it's a mean, a little more pricey than I would like for the quality, but it is what it is. We came here with my husband's family, it was a group of around 7. We had a picky eater kid with us and had to pick somewhere he would be good to order something, so we settled on it. I got the pimento pork stacker sandwich with mac and cheese on the side. The sandwich was disappointing, but the mac and cheese was decent. I like that we can eat outside, and the inside is pretty spacious as well. It's a nice environment. Again, I don't get it. I've had far better BBQ and I don't think this is anything to write home about.

They are located on a busy street in downtown. I went on a weekday and it wasn't too busy You walk in and order first before you sit down. You can get meats on a platter or a sandwich. They also have sides. I got the brisket platter with collared greens and beans. You pay and sit down and get a number. The food came out quickly and our server made sure we had everything before we started eating. The brisket was decent but a little too much fat on it in my opinion. The sides were good as well.

Service was par for the course, nothing special. Placed order and went to find a sit down location, took our server number. Salad with bbq was ordered by both. I've had better. The location was sit down and they find you. I personally would not come back here for the price of mediocre bbq. Self seating so not much social contact. Personally I wouldn't come back; had much better other places. Nulu is totally overpriced!

I love yummy bbq, and Feast delivered with it! This was my first time in. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and you choose your table. I went in on a weekday around 3pm, so it wasn't too busy, which was nice. I ordered a Bourbon Slushie to drink, which is an absolute must order! It's so delicious! For my meal, I ordered the pulled pork plate with a side of hot vinegar collards and mac n cheese. The pulled pork was so tender and the collards had great flavor. The mac n cheese was creamy with bread crumb topping, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't life changingly great either. I love the semi-rustic, Americana, vintage industrial vibe with the decor. It is a great casual eating spot! They do also have tables outside.

Feast BBQ is a good place to go to get some barbecue downtown. I got the pulled pork as 2 flour tacos with baked beans for the side. The food was good. It was good barbecue and good beans. However, the portions were not enough to fill me though the price was quite high. The food was good, but not good enough to offset the price and portion size for me. The environment is nice. Although it is downtown, there is a parking lot and there is a lot of seating. It's very open and spacious and all the servers were nice and friendly. Feast BBQ is a solid place for barbecue, but not the place to go if you're trying to get the most bang for your buck.

Nine years since I first wrote a review of Feast BBQ! NINE YEARS! Considering how highly my family and I regard Feast BBQ, it's way overdue for an update. And I can sum it all up like this: loaded tots! Get them piled high with pulled pork. The great BBQ + slaw + green onions + tots (obviously) -- these are pure comfort and stick-to-your-ribs goodness. I can't go to Feast and get anything else. But when I want something in addition to the loaded tots, I go for the fried pickles and an Ale-8 bourbon slushie. Feast BBQ also has online ordering, which we use when we order food while at Akasha Brewing next door. It always makes me happy to see the long tables inside this restaurant full of people. I don't want Feast BBQ to go anywhere. It's the best BBQ in Louisville IMO.

Mac n cheese balls and Brisket sandwich hit the spot! They have HH 2-5pm featuring two sides for $20. Got an extensive beer menu and good portions, plus a light-filled, spacious interior with large tables and bottles of Original, hot and spicy vinegar BBQ sauces.

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and a bourbon slushy, and both were just OK for me. However, the customer service was exceptional, which made the visit worthwhile. I found this place on Yelp, so I wanted to leave a review to highlight the great service, even though the food didn't quite hit the mark for me.

I ordered a pulled pork plate with sides and an extra sausage link through Door Dash. I'd heard Louisville had good BBQ and just chose Feast semi-randomly when I opened Door Dash looking for something for dinner. Then I got busy with work and forgot I ordered it. So by the time I remembered I'd ordered it, it was sitting outside my door for who knows how long. Thus this was pretty much the worst way to encounter a new food. Lukewarm, delivered, in takeout containers, all preparations for a meh presentation. HOWEVER, this is some of the best BBQ I've ever had and I eat a lot of BBQ all over the Southeast and Northeast. I didn't think the sausage link was the best I've ever had (so far, that goes to Full Moon in Birmingham), but the pulled pork and sides were amazing. Best collard greens I ever had in my life. Also a huge amount of food for the money (even considering that DoorDash costs more). At least 2 full meals.

Now it's rare that I get blown away so quickly about a BBQ dish, but the pork cakes had me excited and confused all at the same time. What is a pork cake you ask? It is two mounds of pulled pork formed into patties that are fried and topped with BBQ sauce and coleslaw. You would think that frying the pork would dry out the meat. Instead the fried outer shell kept the meat hot and moist. For my main meal I ordered the pulled chicken platter with collard greens and baked beans. All I had room for was the sides and both were delicious. One thing I learned from this experience was that if you come hungry, you still will leave with leftovers. The restaurant does not take reservations. Seating is first come first served, so get there early.

If you're looking for a quick bite in a super chill environment, Feast is a great option! If you want barbecue, Feast is a good option! Got kids? Worked well! Plenty of room and no pressure of a waitress! We had a party of 14 and it was easy to get in and find a large table! They have a QR code on the table and it makes it easy to order and add items. If you aren't tech savvy, you can always order at the front. Drinks are self-serve and the sweet tea is delicious! Bbq sauces on the table and full for whatever needed! I only tried the original. I ordered the loaded tots, the image shows meat but I didn't realize it's automatic so I had to add that later and it came out within minutes! The slaw had a perfect crunch that complemented the tots well! Wings were super and the Mac and cheese was creamy!

First the food was fabulous worth the price great value. Second i went inside and was greeted by a very nice young man that answered all my questions. Third the bldg was a unique setup as I was only picking up a Togo order I didn't get much time to admirable, the beer on tap selection was very good and the layout was simple but, very pleasing to the eyes.​

The atmosphere great non franchised whole in the wall feel just what we were looking for. The food was good we had the smoked wings with the glaze on the side, after trying the glaze we should have just got it on the wings, at the table this was the most flavorful bite. The wife had the pulled chicken great smoke flavor but a touch dry. I had the brisket and mac and cheese, the brisket was well smoked with a great bark. We also had the Mac and cheese balls which were better than the regular Mac and cheese. Service is what it is you get your own drinks they bring you your food never to be seen again. Overall again good food and atmosphere. Check it out.

The food was tasty here. I enjoyed my smoked chicken sandwich. The meat was delicious. It was a lot of lettuce. My husband had the brisket and tater tots. Both were good. The barbecue sauce was yummy. They also had good brewed tea and my daughter was excited about the Big Red. The service was very friendly. There is plenty of large tables for groups and a full bar.

Somewhere between 3 and 4 starts. Competent BBQ. A local patron recommended to me the smoked chicken wings and it was a solid recommendation; easily the best thing I ate. My main meal was the brisket plate with mac'n'cheese and baked beans. The brisket was well prepared and tender, but I couldn't pick up much smoke flavor. I did particularly enjoy the bites with the bark, but the overall experience was somewhat lackluster for me. The sauce was the main low point. It is very sweet with strong molasses notes and no heat at all. They have bottles of sauce on the tables and there is a hot option, but I couldn't tell the difference between the original and the hot. I even tried several other bottles of hot from surrounding tables in case there was a labeling issue and they were all the same. Too much sweet and not enough heat for my tastes. The mac'n'cheese was fine, maybe even above average. I would get it again. The baked beans were served in a similar overly-sweet sauce that didn't fit my tastes at all. I would skip them next time. Service is counter order with table delivery to your number. The guy taking orders was friendly and efficient and the food came out super fast. Parking in the attached or nearby surface lots can be validated if you scan a QR code on the counter. Don't pay with the QR code in the lot first or you'll get an error when you try to use the restaurant code (at least that was our experience). Prices were a bit steep IMO, but not out of line with other restaurants I tried in the downtown area.

Good strong drinks & has trivia running in the background. The Ale8 Bourbon slush was the best part & at a great price! We really enjoyed the trivia that ran on the tv in the background, something simple can really make patrons laugh and enjoy themselves. The service itself was quick enough however the food was not my personal preference. Seems like a great place to come with a handful of friends as they also have a few vegan options!

Great food, as a veteran and a person with common sense I find the display of the flag very disrespectful to our country. This goes against many rules of flag etiquette. Please retire this flag and replace with one in serviceable condition.

Neat BBQ stop with good beer selection. Brisket tacos (ranch style was better but both were good!) The mac and cheese was also delicious!

Feast is such a great BBQ spot! Love the atmosphere, location and most of the food! The fried pickles are also very delicious and of course the pulled pork! It's always a treat when my husband and I eat at Feast BBQ!

I come here often and always love their food. They have a great selection of beers on tap, but I love their slushies. They do serve non-alcoholic or alocholic. This time, I only want food. I ordered loaded tots and added chicken to it. It is so delicious. This is the place where I do come back frequently.

While in town for a long weekend, girlfriend and I stopped by for lunch after a distillery tour--Feast (and particularly the bourbon slushie) came recommended by our Uber driver. The pulled pork sandwich was solid, just the right portion size, and the mac and cheese were a perfect complement. Girlfriend had the ranch tacos with sweet potato fries, which were perfectly crispy. And that bourbon slushie was quite nice, not overpowering, but very refreshing after walking around NuLu in 90° weather. While the ordering process took a little while as there were a half-dozen people ahead of us, once we'd placed our orders, the food was brought out quickly. Nice ambiance and friendly service.

I really like this place a lot. The meat eaters I go with enjoy the bbq. They have tofu options, which I have enjoyed in the past. This time I just got three sides as my meal. Mac n cheese, tater tots, and the potato salad. The mac was good and the tater tots were good. I wanted to add salt to the tots, but I didn't find the salt until the very end. (It was in the metal buckets where the to go boxes are) The potato salad was great! Probably my favorite from a restaurant.

Hip BBQ joint near downtown. Walked in here after sampling bourbon and enjoying the delightful weather. The brisket was tender and had a nice smokey flavor you can't reproduce in a home kitchen. I just wish there was more of it. For a plate portion, seemed like you should get more than 4 pieces :( Spicy bbq sauce was a nice touch, but not needed. The Mac and cheese was dope and on point. Creamy and cheesy. The collards were not my favorite. It was a little lukewarm and had an odd sweet and sour taste. Would recommend choosing another side. Abita purple was on tap and refreshing. Great vibe, would try the pork next time.

pulled pork was good but the sides are weak in flavor. The fried pickles were not cooked and the batter was raw inside most of them. I would not recommend as there are better places in Louisville.

Stopped in for lunch with a friend, looking for some delicious southern bbq and was not disappointed. The chopped chicken sandwich I got was a healthy portion that paired well with the two bbq sauces they had at the table. As someone who likes spice, I wish their hot bbq sauce had more of a punch. Not pictured are the fried pickles we shared at the table which were *chef's kiss*. The servers were friendly and regularly bussing the tables & attending to customers. Overall a good spot to grab lunch with a friend!

The food and portions were excellent here! You do have to order and pay for your food first, however the staff will bring out your order. The ambiance is pretty laid back. Just casual wear.

Food is either overly salty or overly sweet. We had the brisket, collards, and beans. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Kind of a dive looking place. Dirty inside. Concrete floor was just gross, walls were marked with splashed food and sauce. Table top was sticky and not wiped well. For consistently being named Louisvilles best bbq, the food was mediocre. I was expecting so much more. I would not return.

Stopped by Feast BBQ while visiting Louisville for work. We were thrilled at how delicious the barbecue was (and even more happy we didn't drop anything on our business clothes)! The brisket was amazing and we loved the Mac & cheese as well. The atmosphere is super casual with picnic table style seating. Definitely a must when in the area!

Hello Everyone: I am reviewing Feast BBQ in the NuLu District in Kentucky/Louisville. This review is based on us eating at the same location twice within a seven-day period of time, at the same time of the day, ordering the same thing looking for consistency or a lack of it. Analysis/Review: Stout: The Founder's Breakfast Stout was a very nice compliment to the pork and collard greens. If you like Stout and are ordering these two items (pork and collard greens) I recommend the combination. Collard Greens: There was quite a bit packed into our side container. Therefore, the portion got a five out of five. The collard greens were slightly overcooked, but they did have a good tangy flavor. If you are on a low-salt or salt-free diet, you may not want to order the collard greens, as they were very salty. But, overall, a nice side dish with the pork cakes and something perhaps you might not cook at home often or at all. We gave the collard greens a four out of five. Pork Cakes: First, I would like to say this is an unusual dish. A nice change from simple barbecue restaurant pulled pork. The portion for the price ($10.99) is very fair. Note: For those of you who have issues with fatty/fried foods, the pork cakes are very rich. They are crispy pork cakes on a bed of their original barbecue sauce topped with creamy coleslaw, Indiana sorghum and green onions. If you don't like coleslaw, I would hesitate to recommend this dish to you, as the tang of the coleslaw goes nicely with the pork and the sauce/dressing of the coleslaw adds moisture to the pork cake. If you would order the pork cakes without coleslaw, you can expect the need to add more barbecue sauce for the pork cake to be moist. The first day we tried the pork cake it was very moist and delicious. The outside of the pork cake was nice and crispy. The second day we tired the pork cake, it was much drier. We understand this can be due to ingredients (who mixed the cake mixture and put how much of what) or how juicy the pork meat was to begin with. The outside of the pork cake was not nearly as crispy as our first visit to the is location. As I mentioned, I am writing this review looking for consistency with items on the menu. Personally, I enjoyed the pork cakes since it is not something you would find outside of the area. We live in Arizona, no pork cakes here! LOL! We gave the pork cake an average score of four out of five due to the second days pork cakes being dry. Condiments are on the seating tables (napkins, forks, and barbecue sauce). This restaurant is a family style seating, with many of the areas being picnic tables and benches. For those of you with back problems, try to grab a table, as it can get quite crowded and the small tables have regular chairs. If you are looking for something different in the NuLu District which is not your typical pulled pork sandwich or dish, I recommend you give pork cakes a try!

This is NOT a BBQ place. There is zero effort into making good BBQ. Comes out cold. Excuse? Well we don't make it right now. Ya. No shit. But dry thick sliced roast beef isn't brisket. Cold beans from a can. Slaw was cold. That was a plus. Mac and cheese was hot, but not any better than anyone can do. I'll give the pulled pork a 3.5, but my guess is it isn't really smoked. Back to the brisket. It was so bad and dry that I couldn't swallow it. I'm not sure of the reviews other than some tourist being excited about not being at home and coming for something after they drink all kinds of bourbon. Bar tender isn't into and admitted he doesn't know about bourbon. This place is not worth more than Mc D prices. One bar tender walked by maybe 10 times without asking if we needed a drink... we were empty for 15 minutes while the other guy took food orders. We were the only ones at the bar. I'd say a big no to the go. They do prove one thing. Location is everything. You can suck in a good place and still stay open.

My first time to visit. The menu is short and simple. They cover all the basics. I enjoyed their brisket tacos, which were both really good. They only offer two kinds of bbq sauce, which I thought was odd. But they both were good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

RESPECT!! Your typical order at the counter BBQ establishment, but the staff is very hospitable. No pretentious attitudes here, just cool vibe. I ordered the brisket sandwich, sliced, with Tots on the side. I also had a Kentucky Cream Ale! Bro so smooth! I always try my brisket straight, before adding sauce, to see if it stands up on its own. It was good, not the most flavorful and tender I've ever had, but good. So I added the sauce, pickles and onion and now we have some magic going on. The Cream Ale definitely complemented the meal. The tots were crispy and delicious. The price wasn't bad. All of this for about $20

I ordered a bourbon slushy and simple salad. Both were really good!! I loved the slushy. The salad was fresh and tasty. The atmosphere was nice and we had SUPER quick service.

We walked in and you are immediately at the front of the line to order your food. The menu is pretty simple...apps(snacks), entrees(meals), sides and dessert(sweet sides) with a fun naming convention. You come to feast flirt the bbq and bbq you'll get. I ordered the brisket sandwich with slaw. You can get the brisket either in chunks or sliced. I've never gone to a bbq place before where they've asked me for preference of brisket. I thought that was pretty cool. The brisket was so tasty and tender. It definitely hit the spot. They also have an extensive beer selection that you can pair your meal with. As far as speed and quality, once we finished ordering and found our seats, our food was already waiting as we sat down. It was freshly cooked as it was temperature hot and it tasted SO good. Can't wait to go back

This is a rustic place; nothing fancy here. The service was laid back, but not too slow. You order, they give you a number, they bring your food. It was a pretty fall day, so we ate outside. Their outside area is metal tables on the sidewalk (between the restaurant and the road). There are lots of gluten-free options here and why we drove from Lexington. Even though they are on their allergen mentu, they no longer have gluten free tacos (they only have flour tortillas available). The bourbon slushy alone is worth the trip. The BBQ is pretty good too. I had the pulled pork and a sausage (with mustard dipping sauce), cole slaw, and baked beans. The pulled pork was deliciously tender and juicy. The sausage had a nice snap and the mustard sauce was great. The cole slaw was creamy. The baked beans were not bad. Love the picked onions. The bbq sauce was delicious.

Best Mac and cheese my husband and I have ever had. Pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwiches were spectacular as well. Can't wait to come back! Quick service as well.

First time here and liked it. They did run mouth of collard greens but that just tells me they must be super good. The person taking our order was super nice and friendly. The food was good and came to our table pretty fast. We shared the brisket plate with baked beans and Mac n' Cheese (not for me) and there appetizer of wings. We had the glaze on the side but I think next time I'll have them put on the wings. My only small complaint is that the brisket have a little more seasoning to it. But that's just me. Oh and the Bourbon Slushie was so good.

You must stop in here and have some delicious BBQ when you're in Louisville. The spicy sausage links were plump and delicious. And definitely try the whiskey slushies!!

Best smoked wings I've had!! The brisket and links are very good. I would skip the potato salad but the Mac & cheese was tasty.

I was not mad about making the stop here. They're located on a busy street, but there is a private parking lot as well as street parking if you can find it. They are having major construction going on with the street and sidewalk in front of the building. I went on a Sunday, and parking was no issue. The inside gives me a mix between a traditional smokehouse and a hipster local artist hangout. I was greeted immediately when I walked in, and the lady at the register was ready to take my order and answer any questions I had with the menu. You order your food, take a number, and they will bring it to your table. The brisket( fatty cut) was well seasoned and full of smoke flavor, and the wings were the same. They have a full stocked bar and offer some cool, creative mixed drinks. I was really happy to see the bourbon selection they had they had some pretty good allocated selections! The only thing I would pass on was the greens. Some things less is more. They were a little weird for me. Cooked perfectly, but they had a strange vinegar/sugar flavor that didn't work for me. With that being said, I would return but will explore the other sides.

I've been back several times since my last review and I've got to say, they've stepped it up! The food has been fairly consistent and the food comes out pretty quickly. My go-to is the simple salad with smoked chicken and the homemade ranch. (Yes I order salads when I go out to eat, salads at home just don't taste as good!). I also enjoy the wings, pork tacos, tots, and bread pudding! I've tried their slushies (Ale8, Peach, and butter beer) a few times and they tend to be on the sweet side, you've been warned! If you go at peak meal times, it's going to be busy. There's usually a line out the door. I'd recommend ordering online and 'picking up' it'll take 15-20 min and you won't waste time standing in line. You can always eat inside or outside at the picnic tables.
