Palace Station Renovates Grand Cafe | Eater Vegas

"As part of the $192 million renovation of the off-Strip resort, the revamped Feast Buffet is a 14,000-square-foot restaurant with 394 seats and six stations of global cuisine that come together as The Hearth, Wok This Way, Blazing Grill, Health Favorite, The Carvery, and Just Desserts, with the stations organized by cooking style rather than by cuisine." - Susan Stapleton

I've been here several times and is most definitely one of my favorite spots to go. The food is very delicious with a wide variety of items to choose from. I've never had a bad experience here and will continue to come when I'm in the area.

We visited 11:30 a on a Saturday. The options were fantastic and the food was good but nothing was hot. Sushi was delicious. Service was great.

Google
This buffet was an fine experience overall, especially for a casual meal with friends. The food was decent with a fair amount of options, though nothing really stood out. The restaurant had a busy, lively atmosphere, which made it feel welcoming. The staff were super nice and very polite, which definitely helped the experience. Overall, it’s fine for a casual get-together.

Google
Very good buffet some excellent offerings like their potstickers and homemade sauces. (I do not eat seafood but the family sure enjoyed theirs.) Everyone was happy and all food was very good at minimum. Interesting extras available that seem to change so I get to try something I have never seen before every time I visit. Great place.

Google
The restaurant was clean. The food bar was clean and pretty well stocked. I don't fault the restaurant if a few people come by and load their plates taking all of the food in a pan. The waitress was nice and kept our drinks full. The food was good in that I never worried about the quality, it had average flavor. They provided a lot of options and I tried nearly everything.

Omg this place is addicted. Came with 5 people and enjoyed the all you can eat. It was so good. They have an area the fries up food for you. I was so content with it. This is a good place to go if you are a picky eater but want to experiment with food. They had snails. Also the crawfish was pretty good.

Google
I enjoy buffets 100 %! But it seems like with these types of Buffets they like to charge everybody per person and depending on which place you go to as in my last experience somewhere else people just order off the menu. Here you don't get anything and you don't even get a drink menu. I had to look on my device to see their menu in case I missed something. When I left out I had saw that they had alcohol. They also charge you extra to take home which is fine. Explain the process that you're going to weigh our food WHEN we leave not prior to paying up front. In my case I don't want to be charged more based on how much we're paying with everything going on. I want to pay with what's fair and it took a lot for me to get them to understand what I was saying. They also charged us in our party tips and then try to point to the sign about how much the buffet is. Please use your customer service skills and talk to your customers. That needs to be fixed as well. As some people don't really know the process and in my case at another Buffet like this they overcharged the party I was in. I also think the 2-hour stay time is ridiculous. If we're paying to eat there we should be able to stay as long as we would want to. The place wasn't busy. But I understand every place has their policies and procedures. I don't think I'll be coming back.

To the Management, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your restaurant today. Unfortunately, the visit was far below even the most basic standards expected from any dining establishment. Upon arrival, I was shocked by the unprofessional behavior of the cashier. She was raising her voice at customers and speaking in a rude, condescending manner, creating an extremely uncomfortable and disrespectful atmosphere. This kind of attitude does not only drive customers away, but also damages the reputation of your restaurant. In addition to the poor customer service, there was a strong, unpleasant smell in the restaurant — similar to old or poorly stored food. This was extremely off-putting and raises serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety. No restaurant that cares about the well-being of its customers should ever allow such conditions. I left the restaurant feeling completely disappointed, and sadly, I do not plan to return. I will also be sharing my experience with others so they are aware of the situation and do not go through the same frustration. I strongly urge you to address these issues immediately, as the current state of your service and hygiene is unacceptable for any place that claims to provide a quality dining experience.

Yelp
I took my sister and parents out to lunch. This place is located off Plank Rd (Rt.3), next to Wawa, Pep Boys and across from Cowboy Jack. As you are driving to the restaurant, there's two ways you can get in. Either you cut through Wawa or go around it. As you are exiting it can be a little tricky. There's plenty of parking spaces. As you walked in, it's clean, has a turtle and koi fish pond in the front lobby, plenty of booths and tables, the buffet trays are clean in between each one, on your left are the sushi and hibachi station, in the center there are 3-4 rows of variety of selections and on the rear are the variety of soups and ice cream. There are unlimited combinations, flavorful dishes and it's AYCE. I enjoy a multiple of items such as plantains, Korean soup, lo mein, stir fry green beans with garlic; sushi, Chinese donut with chocolate pudding; fried chicken and baby clams. All staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. If you ever get a chance to be in the area of Fred'burg, come check them out.

Yelp
Very much your standard Asian buffet. It's the kind of place I feel falls between a 3 and 4. It's consistent and has that slightly variation between visits of "ok" and "good". Some of my favorite items this time around were the pork dumplings, wonton soup, boneless spareribs, and lo mein (actually a very good texture and not overcooked/mushy.) Some items I had tasted ok but were a bit cold. Decor is also pretty standard, some seats have seen better days and are taped up. While it's a bit of a hike from home, I'd be up for going if it was more local.

Yelp
Good food for the price, good service. Place is clean and good food choices. Would recommend the restaurant.
google avatar

Khiem H.

Yelp
The food is average, the service is good and place look aged. It's a very typical Chinese buffet. I didn't get the sushi, it didn't look fresh. I just got the hibachi and that was decent , not overly salty. I'd probably won't be back though.
google avatar

Nykia P.

Yelp
Service hands down was great and the food was pretty good for a buffet. There was lots of people but my server never slacked off. Will definitely recommend.

Yelp
My fiancé and I have came here many times of the years. However, yesterday makes me wonder if they are going down hill. But after yesterday they have me wondering about returning For one the crabs are no longer available and you have to purchase them by the pound now. The crawfish had no seasoning and they couldn't keep up with the demand of the patrons in the restaurant so we could only get them once. The stickers are no longer correct on the buffet informing you of what an item is and the no longer have clams. I myself wanted to come for the sushi which was bland and had no flavor and the cheesecake which they no longer have. I should of known when we walked in and we didn't get the smiling faces and friendly demeanor we were use to. However, if you decide to still go I would recommend the coconut shrimp, orange chicken, and jell-o. Then the icing on the cake was the waitress when we were checking out the bill was only $44 and some change. We paid with a $100 bill and she asked if we wanted our change back. Like seriously? Honestly, I dont know if I will be back. To many other buffets in the area with better quality of food.

Yelp
Ok....My money my review, your money your review. That's the way it is. $49 and change for 2 buffet and 2 soft drinks. A bit expensive should mean better quality, you would think. But not here at Feast Buffet. Yes it's a buffet....not expecting top notch food, but hot and fresh would of been nice. The boneless ribs could of been weapons along with other choices that were left under the heat lamps for a extended period of time. I like coconut shrimp which was on the buffet so I tried some and it was good, went to get more and there was none. I inquired about it being refilled and was told it would be soon refilled. Half hour passed and still none....guess my request was ignored. The deserts were ok, but not quality as other chinese buffets we been too, some were left out too long hoping someone would choose them. Positive comment would be the Habachi grill food was good along with the peel and eat shrimp. Soups had a wide selection and the won-ton soup was good. The chinese crunch noodles were not fresh as they were in shipping box open to the room. To sum up our experience with Feast Buffet. Way overpriced.....better care with restocking the buffet and removing food that's been on display too long. Server was on point with drink refills and clearing used plates from table. So if you want you can bring your money and give it a try, we will choose not to return and spend ours. Feel free to comment below with your experience with Feast Buffet.

Yelp
Clean buffet and big buffet. I was surprised by fresh fruits. Next to 95 easy in and out.
google avatar

Nadine C.

Yelp
Place has just opened and the food was cold. Signs labeling food need updating. Pricey for Saturday and Sunday meals.

Chris M.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch on the way home from I-95 and was impressed. The entrance has a beautiful fish and turtle fountain that sets a fun vibe. The hibachi was the best, you can customize it and they cook it fresh while being able to choose many items. The rest of the buffet had a good variety from light seafood to meat. Great spot for a quick, satisfying meal.

Yelp
So terrible for food! We order noodles with meat and found a bug in our food. Staff was nice for a buffet. The place had many Chinese decorations with a water fountain at the door. I don't know how a place with so many reports of bugs on Yelp. I repeat the health department should check more in depth for bugs in food. Everything was perfect except for the food.
google avatar

Jaxen F.

Yelp
Do not eat here. There are bugs in the food. My family sat down for 10 minutes and found bugs in the food. We told the staff we would like to leave and didn't want to pay as we just got there. The manager tried to follow us out the door after saying we could leave so he could take a picture of my license plate to file a dish and dash report. I told him i wasnt leaving if he was going to file a false police report and he could call them while i was there because im not paying to eat bugs. He called the police and forced us to pay for food we didn't eat. This is disgusting behavior and no way to run a business. Picture included. This was on fathers day also. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Yelp
Yesterday I took a road trip from Ashland, Virginia to Fairfax with a fellow missionary who offered to buy me lunch. I desired an Asian buffet that included sushi and found this place close to I-95. For the most part, I was pleased. We requested a booth with an electric outlet so my friend could charge up his phone. Instead, we were seated in a room all to ourselves that had an available outlet. Except for some fried rice that tasted a bit bland, the food I ate was good. The sushi selection was decent. Both my friend and I liked the hibachi grill. Instead of styrofoam cups of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream that many Asian buffets have, Feast Buffet had ice cream bars and frozen pops. The waiter who brought our water and removed our dirty dishes was friendly and attentive. I hope to dine here again sometime.
google avatar

Will N.

Yelp
Great and friendly service. Horrible food. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. I feel bad that the flavor is going to prevent me from coming back. The hot dishes, though seemingly steaming, were lukewarm or cold. The sushi was dry. The fresh shrimp was slimy. The hibachi grill was good, but my shrimp were still half-gray. The flavor was simply not good. This restaurant needs help.
google avatar

Ralph H.

Yelp
The food was ok. The food is just warm. The great thing there is a variety and you can eat as much as you want. The staff was friendly and would take your empty plates fast and fill up your drink. The cost is around 18 dollars a person plus the cost of a drink so it comes out to around 21 dollars a person.

Amanda W.

Yelp
I would give this restaurant a 0 star if possible. We came here for a family dinner. My fiancée and son ate food that they forced themselves to eat. My daughter and I did not like anything that we put on our plate. We have eaten here before and it was great. This time it was DISGUSTING. I love Chinese food and all types of Chinese food so it's not that I didn't like the "taste" of the food. It's the fact that the food tastes old like it's from the lunch Buffett at dinner time. I spoke with the manager and they would only take my daughter off of the bill but would not remove myself since I tried different things on 2 plates. Orange chicken tasted like it had a jelly film on it, white rice was overcooked, chicken from chicken and broccoli tasted old and the chicken for sweet and sour tasted like old oil. WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT.
google avatar

Charlie P.

Yelp
The hibachi was really good. The sushi was fresh. Some of the dishes were cold and some were overcooked and tough. Plenty of variety! It was clean. The bathrooms weren't the cleanest. The service was fine, but then she started rushing us which was not cool.
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
Sadly I was disappointed. Went for lunch and while everything looked good it was just bland. Most of the food up there seemed to be just filler food. The egg rolls were soft like they had been microwaved. The seafood mix was just imitation stuff in mayo. The sushi was pretty lame. The beef and onions was the only redeeming feature.
google avatar

Brittanni J.

Yelp
Decided to take the family here Saturday evening. The food was average, but my children loved it. You get what you pay for.
google avatar

Rachael G.

Yelp
Good food for the price! My kids loved it, especially my son who is rather picky I loved the hibachi and sushi bar options.

Mike M.

Yelp
We hadn't been there since around 2020 and we went back today because we missed it. It was wonderful! The food was fresh and delicious, and the price was only $31 for two people, which included drinks. There were clams and mussels along with all the great Chinese and American foods we missed.
google avatar

Nevaeh B.

Yelp
The food is Amazing I love the crabs and the Sushi. I always go here with my cousins. The service is the best And , We are planning to come back soon. The Ambiance is great.

Mehdi F.

Yelp
The bottom of my flan was burnt and fell off I was upset. So I go to get some cake the icing also came off the cake, and I am concerned when I went to get ice cream I was in disbelief the packaging was cut open and already eaten. I am severely disappointed. The moral of this review is do not eat at feast buffet. They also charged us 45$ for 2 people.

Sharon C.

Yelp
WORST customer service ..... I will NEVER go back Sushi was dry. I didn't eat yet THEY charged for a full dinner buffet. Wasn't even offered a discount. They really must need the money BE WARE THEY RECORD AND COUNT PLATES EVEN IF YOU SEND THEM BACK

African Americans F.

Yelp
Hello Everyone. I hope, but I'm quite sure that this post might be taken down. Today my sister, cousin and myself decided to have lunch at Feast Buffet on Plank Rd. We arrived during the lunch hr of which the cost was $11.99/$17.99 for dinner. While there an African American man and his son arrived and went to take a seat in another seating area across from us. After they sat down the hostess pictured below very rudely approached them with harsh language and a raised voice demanded that they move. The man and his son walked out. About five min later the same hostess seated a Caucasian couple in the same area with all smiles and friendliness. INTERESTING RACISM. Another African American man who was sitting across from me and was there before us got up to get another plate of food; the waiter came over to his table and told him that since got a piece of ribs, his $11.99 lunch was now going to be $17.99. When the man asked why and explained that he had been there during lunch the waiter yet insisted that the charges would still be $17.99. When the man refused to pay the new amount the waiter literally took the man's plate of food. RIDUCULOUS. And the same thing happened to me as they tried to upcharge my lunch to a dinner. However, I refused to pay since I too had arrived during the lunch hour. As for me, I will NEVER support that establishment again in any way, form or fashion. In all these instances it was an open act of discrimination.

Amanda M.

Yelp
Do not go here. Ever they are absolutely beyond rude every last plate of food I attempted to eat was cold and tasted like it was made the day before. For three people to not eat and feel nauseated by the poor quality of the food and the so called manager then proclaims he doesn't care about business he just works here. If you don't like then don't come. It's not a matter of don't like. Your food was poorly cooked and was cold. And said even if I ate two bites I pay. No one was looking for free anything we wanted what we paid for. And not to be laughed at by fellow employees and lied to about never having a manager or owner. This place is a scam. Don't bother to eat here. It's awful and the employees are extremely rude. They will no longer be getting business from me or my family.
google avatar

William K.

Yelp
So, today I find myself in Fredericksburg, Virginia and I see an all you can eat buffet right at the exit to the 95 freeway. It can't be that good, but, I'm hungry and buffet lunches are always cheap. This place proves that assumptions can often be absolutely wrong, and boy is this place anything but average. Check out the pictures below. When you walk in you are hot with a wonderful aroma of freshly cooked foods. The choices of food are amazing. The quality fantastic. The interior is decorated very nicely with lots of open space and beautiful accents. This place has it all! So, I stand corrected. An all you can eat buffet on an off ramp in Virginia is Indeed a GREAT place to eat! I can't believe how lucky I feel right now. For those of you that live in the area, I couldn't imagine eating any place else. Friendly staff, great food and super affordable. What more could you ask for?
google avatar

Courtney T.

Yelp
Their customer service is subpar. Nobody wants to dine at an establishment where the staff is unnecessarily rude. Don't waste your time going here.
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
This is one of the best Chinese buffets I have ever tried. The sushi is fresh and tasty, with over a dozen options. They serve the best wings I have ever eaten at a Chinese buffet. The place is clean and the servers are attentive. It is now my favorite lunch stop when I am traveling I-95 to DC.

Kaidyn B.

Yelp
The chicken was so raw and made it two of my friends die when we went here I recommend nobody eat the chicken because they will die.

Larissa F.

Yelp
I am o obsessed with this place!!!! Everything that I tried was great and they have a special lunch price. We paid $31 for 2 people. Highly recommend it!
google avatar

Joseph L.

Yelp
Ok... I'm a complete snob foodie and you will never catch me dead at a buffet. Although this place is my "go-to" stop when I'm late coming home from work or I just need some soup. Feast has a very wide selection of hot dishes, fruit/salads, sushi, seafood, beef, pork, chicken, and noodle dishes and even though it is a buffet, I rarely get old or dry food. Now remember this is a buffet, if you are looking for fine dining of asian food you are in the wrong place. If you have a big family with big appetites or looking for a quick meal because you are two-hours late coming home from work this is the place. They have a great take-away setup that allows you to get what you want... they weigh it and charge you by the weight. A full tray of food and a quart of soup runs about $7.00 + tip. You cannot beat the price and the convenience.
google avatar

Daniel D.

Yelp
Always clean, never a wait. If you miss the Chinese buffet in your town from before Covid, stop here. Always plenty of everything and they will have your favorite dish. Sushi and Mongolian grill options and friendly service. It's not fancy, but it's good.
google avatar

Joy R.

Yelp
Huge selection of mains, appetizers, noodles, desserts, fruits, soups, sushi rolls, etc. Staff is friendly and the price is reasonable at $15.99 per person (adult). The taste is American style Chinese food. My favorite is the teppanyaki grill which you select the ingredients, the sauce and they cook it on the spot for you. I recommend the garlic and spicy sauce with a touch of soy sauce. Give it a try if you are hungry!

Ty P.

Yelp
The food was nasty as hell my orange slices had hair on it my pizza was cold as fuck my rice was plain as fuck the cantaloupe was bland asf no taste what so ever only thing good was the service and the lemonade 0/10 would not recommend only if on death bed

Vulnavia P.

Yelp
As Chinese buffets go, the quality of the food is average. The selection is disappointing. For one thing, I've never seen any spicy foods.

Tatyana M.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch many, many times on our way to MD from Virginia Beach and NEVER had any less than EXCELLENT experience. The spread of the food is very wide and some of the dishes you won't see in other buffets (like Kimchi and pickled daikon radish). The taste of the food is very good in most of the dishes, but it depends on your individual taste. I like it all except of beef/pork dishes (meat pieces seems too tough for my taste). All the food looks and tastes very fresh (but I am talking about 11a to 12:30p timing when it's supposed to be the freshest). The service we encountered was always nice and efficient. The place is clean and comfortable. So, we do like to eat here and look forward to many more visits.

Cat S.

Yelp
Never been soo upset in my life. I took my mom to eat lunch as she loves Chinese food.. not our first time there... Not really about food quality, food was ok, nothing to brag about... my issue??? The manager and his poor treatment of a customer... A gentleman walked in and started walking around looking for someone, it was obvious that he was having a bit of difficulty walking, , so I assumed he had some type of disability... The manager started harassing him, asking him what was he doing there!... He was sooo rude! Using his body as shield blocking the gentleman from getting around.. all I could hear was was What are you doing here? What do you want? What's wrong with you? He even threatened him with calling the cops on him... Obviously he told him to go ahead, he kept repeating that he was waiting for someone and the he was a customer, the he had money to pay.... I wanted to ask him to my table, but he sat in the waiting area, I wanted to leave, once I was at the register I noticed 2 ladies walking in with happy birthday balloons and presents... They were there to celebrate this gentleman's birthday!!!!!! I was so upset! I did yelled at the manager! I gave him a piece of my mind!!! I told him how horrible person he was!!! I would never go back to this place after I saw this... I was soo sad and heartbroken for this guy... he just wanted to celebrate his special day there and he just had the worst experience and was treated so poorly...

Mese P.

Yelp
Foos was average to almost trash. Then they had the nerve to be rushing us to leave. I mean we was done eating anyway and was aware of the time. Don't accept customer after a certain time if you're not going to allow them to eat their food in peace.

Sang-Ho L.

Yelp
I have never seen such a dirty soup bowl. I showed it to the manager, but he never tried to apologize or excuse. Please be prepared to bring your own dish if you are going to eat there even though the food may not be cooked clean. I am not sure whether food is cooked clean. I did not eat, but they still charged a full price for the dirty dish.

Antoine S.

Yelp
As I was eating I bit into a metal staple. When I notified the manger His response wise if you don't want to pay leave now or you pay full price if you eat anymore. Poor customer service

Kayla W.

Yelp
Service isn't that great at all. the man upfront is very rude to customers. Half of the food was out and it took well over 45 minutes for staff to replenish missing food items. The food that was out seemed like it had been sitting for a long time. Over all, horrible dine in experience.

Water Method M.

Yelp
The guy who looked like a manager was either mute or didn't speak English. I asked if he could bring out some craw fish since it's dinner time. He looked the other way and thumbed towards the kitchen. So I waited by the bar until a customer informed me that everyone was here for crawfish but it's only brought out once every hour as a policy. 1 SHALLOW TRAY AN HOUR! Lol. I confirmed it with 3 different staffs here. About 2 years ago before COVID, before this placed swapped names, I had called the police on speaker phone for them to take me off the bill. I called the place before entering the buffet to confirm they were serving crawfish that night. They said yes and I went in right away and sat. When I got to the bar and asked for crawfish, they had ran out for the night. It was about 4 hours left before they close. I never ate that night, yet they kept me on the bill until I called an officer. Funny thing. The guy who pointed towards the kitchen this night looked like the same person I called the police on a few years back. 2 stars for the upgraded interior design.

Anna P.

Yelp
One of the WORST chinese buffets I have been to. Service was horrible, food was cold and had hardly any flavor. Place was dirty and had a funny smell. Don't go for lunch and stay past 4 or you are charged for dinner instead of lunch, dinner that wasn't even on the line. It was well past 430 when dinner that you are charged for to even come out on the buffet to eat!

Speedy J.

Yelp
the chicken was raw and the Mac and cheese was very MOIST. my friend and I went to this restaurant thinking it was gonna be a good idea but little did we know one of my friends is going to get food poisoning from this frog chicken we are very disappointed on our choice and coming here and we are asking that nobody else comes here because the chicken is uncooked and the food is not good.

Jose H.

Yelp
Food was literally cold asf man, all the food they had there was cold as a bitch, swear they chicken and Mach potatoes was the only good shit there bruh other than that everything was cold and old clearly hadn't been switched out for a few DAMN hrs THATS WHAT THE PPL ON THE FLOOR ARE FOR and waiter service was awful, mans had an attitude like a damn baboon
google avatar

Perry E.

Yelp
Everything here was immaculate. The sushi was almighty delightful, as was the hibachi steak. Rice was fine-tastic. Also there's a godamn koi fish pond bruhhhh it's lit! Also the waitress was a little cute anime girl . Overall a great place to go in and chow down

Zachary M.

Yelp
Great food of mixed cuisines at a fantastic price. If you want to go and have a great experience either by yourself or with the family, the courteous staff and tasty food will provide you with the experience you're looking for! Personal favorites of mine is the hibachi bar, sesame balls, and the numerous delectable different preparations of chicken available.

Yelp
My S/O and I come here once a week. The food is good, but I'm super picky with my Chinese food, so I don't tend to eat everything. They do have amazing crab ragoons and I basically fill up on those alone.
