A Rockport, Massachusetts Food Crawl | Eater Boston

"A small, ever-changing menu drawing global influences — recent dishes have ranged from cod with tabouleh, harissa, and mizuna to pho with braised pork and Thai green curry — set in a room whose walls are lined with historic photos of Cape Ann granite quarry workers; named after a traditional tool/process used to split granite, it’s a place where a drink or oysters alone can be enough to enjoy the atmosphere without committing to a full meal." - Terrence Doyle

First time at Feather and Wedge. Wow...start to finish - excellent! Great vibe from the time we entered. Packed house but table was ready at time of reservation. Love the table rows and amazing view...we got lucky with a near window table. Offered water and drinks straight away. Huge shout out to our server, Heidi (and the support staff)...service was outstanding! Started out with martinis. Wife loved the cider and spice, mine was up with a twist extra dry. Of course with martinis...must have the beets and olives for a perfect pairing and I mean perfect. We threw in some oysters (Rockport, right?) and an autumn wedge. The wedge was one of best I've had in a while...earthy, fall flavor with a creamy dill dressing to die for... Entrees were tenderloin with lobster top and bolognese. Wagyu tenderloin was perfectly MR and adding the poached lobster is a no brainer. This was a truly great surf/turf! So, this next part is tricky because I have had some amazing bolognese in North End, Little Italy, etc. Typically I would consider bolognese in an Italian reataurant but I must have had a vision and thank you for that. Because I honestly think this is the best bolognese I have ever had...the flavors were perfection...unbelievable. Didn't think it could go higher but I love chocolate and who doesn't love mousse. So there ya go...rich, creamy, dark chocolate mousse was so light and delicious. One of the best overall service, food, and atmosphere meals I have had in a while. Should be 6 stars...wow!

Feather & Wedge in Rockport is easily one of the best spots on the North Shore for a seafood-focused date night. The new owner was incredibly accommodating and checked in on us multiple times to make sure everything was perfect, which says a lot about the level of care they put into the experience. Our waitress, Heidi, was fantastic—super friendly and made some amazing recommendations that made the night even better. We started with oysters, prosciutto, and the prawn, which was highly recommended and absolutely worth it. Cocktails were solid, and once the food started landing, we switched to wine. Great call. The salads were fresh and well-balanced, and the standout of the night was the pea soup with butter-poached lobster and bacon. That dish alone was unforgettable. For entrees, we had the bolognese, halibut, mussels, and mushroom risotto with added lobster. Every plate was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Eating that kind of seafood just steps from the water made it even better. The whole place gives off that perfect New England summer energy, but I’d come back any time of year. If you’re thinking about dinner plans, call your babysitter and book a table. You won’t regret it.

Came here twice on a visit to Rockport and both times were wonderful. You know you're in the right spot when all the locals show up at the end of the day to gather - the atmosphere was fun and inviting. Folks said the restaurant had new management and the food was consistently delicious. The lead bartender from Argentina had curated a thoughtful wine menu with some of my favorite Cabernet Franc from Mendoza. I tried the oysters and mussels- both were spectacular. You'll probably need extra bread to soak up all the broth in the mussels. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Rockport - I'll be back!

We had the most wonderful birthday party! All the food was exceptional as was the service! We have been coming here for years. New owner, Ben, was responsive, friendly, accommodating, and flexible when we were planning. Can’t say enough good things. We had a great time in this inviting and beautiful restaurant!

This place was Great in sooo many different ways. You will even find the history of Rockport all over the walls. The locals here where very talkative and understanding. The atmosphere is my kind of style 😎. My bartender Justina E. Was absolutely an amazing woman with a lot of insight. Justina E. From Argentina very knowledgeable on Argentina Red Wines 🍷 she really knows her stuff. I was absolutely blessed to have her as my server ❤️ on my 43rd birthday 🎂 🥳 She's a Female Goddess and should be Worshipped as one. I don't know what this place is Paying her but they should pay her more. 😏 This place i give 10 out of 10 stars 🌟 I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I'll know for a fact that I'll definitely be back. When the weather gets warmer that is...... Love ❤️ Shane

Google
Wow! Went tonight for the first time and was so impressed! The service was outstanding (thank you Heidi), the food was amazing, we started with the focaccia bread that was crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside with just the right seasonings, followed by the prawns that were delicious and ended with the best mushroom risotto I’ve ever had! My friend enjoyed the bolognese as well. Well done to the new owners.

Wonderful dinner with my wife. The food was excellent. The service was fantastic. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere, which inspired me to paint a scene looking out onto Rockport's main street.

Google
Well just wanna start by saying that this place is pretty dope. Decor on point and views to die for. Just a stone throw away from the Atlantic ocean. Actually come to think about it i think those prawns hopped right in the pot cause that would explain the freshness. The chile saffron and butter was crazyThe redfish, fish flackey and the golden raisins, cauliflower..... wasn't supposed to work. Key word "wasn't " not only did it work it did a good job! Beef TENDERloin was exactly that. Tenderloin with the greens and smashed figerlings... well that disappeared quickly. Everything was top notch service staff and management. All cruised thru the table to check on us at some point. So limited menu was on for off season i can only imagine full season. Can't wait to get back there again. What a cool little town

Yelp
We took a little trip from Boston to explore the town and absolutely loved it. By the time it was past 9pm on a Sunday, almost everything was closed -- but Feather & Wedge was still open, so we decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere is warm and stylish, service was attentive and friendly, and the food... truly impressive. I had a lentil soup with lobster that was rich, flavorful, and comforting. My wife's risotto was spectacular, creamy and perfectly cooked, and my daughter's al dente pasta with a beef-and-pork mix was one of the best I've ever tasted. We also shared mussels in a ginger sauce -- absolutely delicious -- and ended the night with an interesting peach dessert that was light and not overly sweet. This is a seasonal, small menu, but every dish feels carefully crafted -- creative, flavorful, and plated with finesse. It's definitely gourmet without being pretentious, the kind of place that makes you slow down and savor every bite. If you're visiting the area, I'd highly recommend making this one of your stops. It's a gem worth experiencing.

Yelp
Came here several times since open mostly in the summers. Yesterday was the first time I've been back in this summer. 7/10 Drinks were fine. But food was subpar. 1/10 The pea soup with lobster was disappointing since it just seemed like the lobster was added after cooking the soup, it did not marinate into the flavor at all. Lobster itself tasted like refrigerated saltwater. 3/10 The cheese plate was low effort, just a couple of big pieces of cheese and a tiny amount of peach jelly. Peach jelly was good as well as the bread it came with. Wish it had more jellies for interest. 2/10 The entree bolognese was also low in savory flavor. Just overall disappointing meal. 8/10 The ambience hasn't changed, but service was rushed. Reading the recent posts I now see that there was a change in management- makes a lot of sense out of our dining experience yesterday. I wish the new owners good luck, and hope they return to high quality meal offer.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with partial ocean view. Though they have a small lunch menu selection, everything tasted amazing and service was fantastic!

Catalina N.

Yelp
We sat outdoors as it was a nice night out and they had the heat lamps on. It's on a corner of a busy street so it was good for people and dog watching as well! The place was crowded inside, with a bar and additional seating. Reminded me of trendy restaurants in Europe. We had the steak and wagyu bolognese. The steak was cooked perfectly to my requested term. The spaghetti also was very tasty, warming our bellies on a chilly night. Our waitress was terrific and kept checking on us as we dined. Order the bread! It's delicious!

Yelp
Located on the fringes of the tourist section of Rockport, Feather & Wedge first strikes you with their outdoor patio, which in balmy nights must be delightful. The place was packed, so we waited for a seat at the bar for about 20 minutes. The hostesses were initially abrupt but later exuded charm and helpfulness that contributed to the enjoyment of the evening. The availability of Guinness 0 was a big plus as well. The baba ghanouj was OK but lacked the smokiness of singed eggplant, the nuttiness of tahini, and the rang of lemon. On the other hand, the ZoEI misled were excellent; different than the NZ green lips that we have on the West Coast. But good nevertheless. The broth was a standout with potent lemongrass and ginger flavors that leant a complex sweetness that was truly appreciated when I soaked the hard toasted bread that softened nicely to better transmit the flavor. My son's Bolognese was a good version with a combination meats with the deep umami flavor gained from long simmering. Dessert was a chocolate torte. It is always a delight to dine at a legitimate restaurant in a touristy location, especially with a water view. Try to reserve early and sit in the back with a spectacular view or outside when it's warm. The bar seats offered a view of the hardworking young ladies that was a bit mitigating as well.

Yelp
I made a reservation a few days before for Feather & Wedge based on priority it places on the quality of food and the homepage it pays to the local town. It was also busier than I expected when I arrived at 5:15p. My server was great ! She was able to help me narrow down my choices, and I love/appreciate when they are able to make choices for me when it comes to drink pairings. The food tasted just as incredible as it looked on everyone's table. I wasn't planning on ordering bread until I saw it on someone else's table. The bread had a crunchy exterior and soft interior. The EVOO was of good quality. And the herbed has my heart. The oysters were lovely as well, and the cava the server choose for me paired perfectly with both the oysters and halibut. I don't know what to say about the halibut except WOW. Pan seared for a flavorful crispiness but so, so tender on the inside. And the the veggies were kept simple with a simple dressing of EVOO and lemon, so the halibut shined. I'm a slightly skeptical when it comes to finer/quality dining in places outside of bigger cities, but this place blew me away and I can't wait to come back. Would definitely recommend !!

Yelp
Service is outstanding, friendly, warm, and efficient. The atmosphere in this small restaurant is delightful. The food is still okay, but on two post-pandemic visits, we noticed a material drop off in taste. Especially the lobster risotto didn't excite us. The rice had the right texture. The lobster content was generous. However, something was off with the flavor. Maybe too creative? It tasted watery and the various ingredients didn't jive. I would not reorder this dish. The pear salad was great and feeds several people. All portions are big so one can order with restraint. Of course we didn't so I shall add some flavor to the doggie bag. Finally, the place is lively mostly with seniors and summer guests which makes for a vey noisy but pleasant environment

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. The bread I got for an appetizer was great, although it was a little over salted. I ordered the bolognese and it was rich and probably the best bolognese I've ever tasted. For dessert I got a flourless chocolate cake which was nothing super special but nothing to complain about either. Despite how packed it was, it was pretty cozy. As I walked out multiple staff members wished me a good night which was nice.

Yelp
Great meal at Feather and Wedge last night. Although we were a bit put off by their strict attitude toward opening time and waiting on their patio, once seated the staff was gracious, attentive, and knowledgeable. The oysters were fresh and large. The eggplant was (surprisingly) not breaded. I think they first roasted the eggplant, and then baked it with the sauce and cheese. Different but very good (and probably healthier).

Yelp
After walking out of the 7th Wave restaurant due to a terrible service experience, we stumbled here. Despite a busy, beautiful Saturday night, our hostess forewent the 30 minute wait and got us bar seats. The two lovely ladies behind the bar were rocking the place and made it look easy. We ordered drinks which were perfect. Our Bok Choy Caesar salad came almost instantly and was a treat, as I'd never had bok choy that way. Shortly after, our entrees arrived with fabulous presentation. They took great care to recognize my shellfish allergy and alerted the kitchen staff (something the 7th Wave restaurant server apparently couldn't do), who ensured everything was safe. The Wild salmon dish with sautéed green beans was delicious with crispy skin and medium-well cook. The Bolognese was sublime and the hint of Marsala wine was a great touch. The meal was fairly pricey but not anything unexpected. We left a hefty tip and I tipped our hostess $10 bucks for getting us in so quickly. Thank you, Feather & Wedge for turning a miserable experience at 7th Wave into a memorable and romantic Saturday night that will treasure and which was much needed. Everything couldn't have been better. Well done!! Cheers!!

Yelp
New owners...and we will be returning! Two of us split the Baba Ghanouj and the Chicken Liver Pate on toast. Baba Ghanouj was perfect, served with pita and the sweetest, farmer's market carrots. Liver Pate is just how I like it, topped with crudités and perfectly flavored. Mackenzie (sp?), our bartender made the BEST 'perfect' Manhattan! The new menu is varied, with new and exciting things to try when we go again. Such a nice change for Rockport, rather than the usual seafood fried fare. Good luck to Ben and his staff!
google avatar

Martin M.

Yelp
The successful dishes were main course.Chicken and risotto were well prepared. The chicken liver pate was ersatz as was the pea soup.Pea soup was supposed to be fresh but tasted canned.-The chicken liver was not subtle nor unique.Would go back to try the other main courses. The risotto was fun to eat and the chicken was crispy and moist at the same time time.

Yelp
This place is super cute inside and a small out door patio in the beautiful downtown area. The food was very fresh and everything tasted great (the sole was seasoned perfectly.) Staff was friendly, we did wait quite some time for our appetizer due to it getting "stolen" by someone else, but outside of that everything else was great.

Yelp
Just here to say that Feather & Wedge is still absolutely crushing the game. I came for dinner with my husband while away for the weekend and we loved it just as much - if not more - than we did a few years ago for our 1st wedding anniversary. This time we sat outside and got to enjoy the people watching and fresh air along with an absolutely delectable and memorable meal. The service was, again, warm, friendly, and timely. We ordered: - corn chowder appetizer: an absolute treat! crunchy fresh local corn, creamy soup that was somehow not heavy; and little shrimps on top that were savory and tasty. - halibut special: FRESH. the fish was cooked perfectly - tender inside with a nice crispy browning on the outside. underneath was a light and fresh combo of corn, cucumber, green beans, and cherry tomatoes with a light tangy dressing. just divine. - lobster pasta special: indulgent but still light. spiral pasta with generous pieces of lobster, some spinach and corn, and shaved parmesan-y cheese on top. the sauce was light and TASTY. - chocolate mousse: not too sweet with some whipped cream to cut the rich chocolate flavors. the perfect ending to a lovely meal. Definitely try to get a table here if you are in town. We look forward to returning next time we are visiting!

Yelp
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here-again! Service was top notch with great attention to detail and the food was delicious. Our special seat by the window gave us a view of the harbor and every wait staff working stopped by to say happy anniversary. Bravo for being consistent year after year with both food and service.

Yelp
A wonderful night with our amazing bartenders Justina and Sherry. Chef is amazing and accommodating with allergy restrictions. The food is absolutely delicious. Our new go to!

Yelp
This was my second visit to Feather and Wedge, and it continues to amaze patrons with the fine quality of its cuisine and wine list. We were a party of four and ate at a table with excellent views of the harbor and was also quiet enough for lively conversation. We would all recommend the Mussels, very ample for 4 people and served in a delicious broth of white wine and fennel. The crisp bread toasts allow one to savor every drop. We shared a bottle of excellent Malbec: Los Holds 2020. For the main course(s) we had the Lamb Chop special and The Halibut special, both well worth the $46 price. We had the chocolate mousse, the tres leches, and the tiramisu and the favorite was the tiramisu. The welcome we received was delightful, and we had a great evening.

Yelp
We went up to Rockport intending to visit another restaurant which turned out to be closed, and stopped in to Feather and Wedge instead. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly and the food was amazing. We started with the radicchio salad (a special) and I had the sole meunière while my companion had the fettuccine bolognese. We were too full to even think about dessert. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great little spot. Excellent wine selection. And you can't complain when there's a full bar and top-notch service. Great scene, location, and dishes. Definitely try the Bolognese -- it is fantastic!

Yelp
I had the cod special, it was very good. The service was excellent, the staff is great.

Yelp
We've eaten here twice now, with a long pause in between. Both visits have been very good, but I want to start off by saying RESERVATIONS ARE RECOMMENDED. There's not always a lot of other options in the area, and this is one of the best, so you'll likely see it rather packed when you show up. The service here has always been very courteous and with what I'd consider a reasonable and comfortable level of checking in on you to top off your wine, etc. The food has always been good - the seared pear salad recently was excellent, and the seafood stew was excellent with the minor note that the broth was more of a flavoring agent for the contents, and not really a part of the meal, and the salmon was a bit overdone. The lobster linguini was great as well, though it had too many peas and could have used a little more seasoning and citrus. While the pricing on each was a bit high, the portions seemed to be well aligned with that. Two entrees and a shared salad (and a bottle of wine...) had us stuffed and leaving with a doggy bag. (The lobster linguini made an excellent snack/lunch the next day!) Hopefully this doesn't come across negative, as I like this place and will return when in the area, but the adjustments noted are what's holding back that 5th star. The parking is manageable, but likely to require a bit of a walk if the tourist crowd if the other businesses are still open (we struck gold with a spot on opposite side right in front, but don't expect to get that lucky). The whole area, as small as it is, can get very busy.
google avatar

Julie D.

Yelp
Heidi, our server was lovely! She worked with us to coordinate some decorations for the table, and was very knowledgeable about allergies. Drinks were delicious, food was delicious, and overall it was a great dinner.
google avatar

Bob H.

Yelp
Great date spot or family dinner without little kids. We made a reservation and we were seated early. The interior was very nice and they had an outdoor patio but didn't have room for us. Service was good as they were clearly busy on a holiday weekend. My wife and I shared the shrimp egg rolls, fish stew and my favorite, the swordfish. The egg rolls had a nice slice of sweet chili and weren't overly spicy (my wife can't do spicy at all and she was fine). The swordfish had nice, fresh pineapple on top and was cooked perfectly over the jasmine rice. The fish stew was also very good. Drink menu was also pretty good and had a couple local brews on top. Would go back!
google avatar

Bex A.

Yelp
I got both the wine special and the dinner special and both were amazing. The ribeye I ordered medium-rare was cooked to perfection, as was the asparagus that accompanied it. The white wine (special) had notes of lemon and lavender. Very light, refreshing and delicious. The folks next to us said the chicken they ordered is so good, that it has a following among the regulars. The best part of the meal for me was the tiramisu. It was the best tiramisu I've ever had! It's exactly what tiramisu is supposed to taste like. It was decadent, light, and flavorful. I will be going back purely for the tiramisu, and can't wait to try more items on the menu. Don't be afraid to be adventurous and order the specials! Service was prompt and our server was a gem. The ambiance is warm, cozy and upscale. Great place for a date night or dinner with the girls.

Ciccio C.

Yelp
$8 for a piece of bread and butter? Not even in NYC they charge you that much. That''a a robbery. So unfair. Also, considering how expensive the restaurant is, we got a very young and inexperienced waiter. When he asked us how everything was, my wife responded that the pasta was good but very, very salty. He said absolutely nothing and left without a comment or an apology. The owner, who cares just about making money, never once made eye contact or stopped by to check in with us. Very cold atmosphere over all.

David N.

Yelp
My go to for sole meunière and Heidi the waitress. Enuf said. Also, crab and avocado the best.
google avatar

Elisabeth L.

Yelp
The food and service are amazing! There is no food prepared as wonderfully as at this restaurant. We wish they would, however, take some measures to reduce the noise. It is so loud that it's really hard to speak to the folks you're with. This oversight is glaring, especially because the food is top notch, and it's sad that they don't realize that it's not a pleasant atmosphere because of their failure to do something about the volume.

Susan S.

Yelp
Simply fantastic! The food is so good. Wish we could go here more than just than special occasions but I highly recommend.

P H.

Yelp
Showed up a little underdressed compared to the regular clientele, at 4:10, and they said we could be seated if we left by 5:30 bc of existing reservations, even though they usually recommend 1hr 30m for dining, and we'd only have 1hr 20m. The waiter then rushed us through ordering and dropped the bill before we had even been there an hour. The snootyness was palpable. Good cocktail selection, good beer, but tiny draft list. The mussels were excellent. The lobster bisque was a bit acidic, and less creamy than I expected. Also, the lobster meat was tough. Much below what I expected of this dish. I'm not sure I'd return.
google avatar

Alan E.

Yelp
We stayed in Rockport a couple of days and our Airbnb host recommended Feather & Wedge. Turned out she was right! The experience was great from start to finish. Our server was attentive & courteous and the food was beyond good. My wife enjoyed the Linguine Vongole and I couldn't stop raving about the Local Sole Meunière! Both were plated in a very appealing manner and the taste of each dish was wonderful! The bonus was the live jazz music that started a few minutes after we sat down. A little close quarters but enjoyable overall.
google avatar

Gil C.

Yelp
We love this place. We go every time when in Rockport. The food is fantastic, the service is prompt and friendly and the drink list and wines are approachable and affordable. My only advice is to go early. It fills up quickly, the place is small and unless you don't mind sitting close to others, it gets tight.
google avatar

Liz E.

Yelp
Food was fantastic, service was excellent, and then I got a "mocktail " mojito and they charged me and my friend $28 for 2 sodas! They informed me that it's their policy to charge the same as the real drink with alcohol- it was really a huge put off and I don't think I will go back because of that. Very disappointing- we had great appetizers, food, and dessert, so we weren't being cheap, it's just the concept of having to pay that much for a soda with simple syrup in it .. also they were super unfriendly about allergies- there are "no substitutions" strictly so I was again disappointed that they would not accommodate my allergies.
google avatar

Yelp
We love to patronize Feather and Wedge when we are in Rockport. Went there about a week ago and it did not disappoint. Broiled oyster appetizer was tasty and the Sole Meuniere was out of this world. My Bramble cocktail was a perfect sip. We shared a blueberry crisp dessert that easily satisfied two. The ambiance is busy/noisy, but it's the tradeoff we make for a small, cozy venue. Waitress was friendly and attentive. It's our favorite spot for dinner when we visit the North Shore and can't wait to come back.

Tom O.

Yelp
Great spot in Rockport! Every table is a great table (we had arguably the worst table and it was still great!) Menu is delicious. Oysters are pristine and beautifully presented. You can tell extra care has been taken. Well-stocked bar and drinks well-made. Had the Cod with Chorizo - fantastic. Rest of the entrees were a hit. Service friendly, efficient and attentive. Energetic vibe. Nice work!

Yelp
ah, we really liked this. not easy to find a serious restaurant in rockport. this was it. really enjoyed the drunken mussels.

Yelp
Best food in Rockport and at least as good as anywhere else on Cape Ann. The staff is friendly and helpful. When they have music it's always good and never so loud as to inhibit conversation. An added bonus, the bar is well stocked and the bartenders know how to make a fine cocktail.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed a romantic meal at Feather and Wedge. The service was outstanding and the food came quickly. Portions were generous so bring your apetite!

Yelp
We have been twice in a week. Such a great find. Justina is a great bartender and was helpful in making drink and food choices. The first time we only had dessert. Last night we had the full experience. We chose to sit at the bar and met other folks who were friendly and chatty. Everything we ate was delicious! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I never write reviews, but there were things so glaringly bad (and fixable) as well as good, that the mixed experience needs explaining. First, the good. The seared pear salad was amazing.Perhaps the best I've ever had. The oysters were great. Fresh, non-gritty, perfect flavor. The steak was flavorful, perfectly cooked. Mushroom soup -- very nice. Cocktails -- well done. But now the bad. The lobster risotto was so bland that neither my daughter or I could eat it. The lobster was good and large chunks, but the entire rest of the dish was really unflavored and a huge disappointment. But the worst was the staff. To be clear, they were not rude. But they were totally untrained, young, and simply incompetent to work in fine dining. A few examples -- when we arrived, our corner table had a clearance of 3 inches between us and the next table. My skinny children could not pull out the chairs far enough to get in. Rather than seating us at another vacant table, they made the next table that was already eating stand up while they moved them over a foot. The staff acknowledged nobody could fit there and blamed it on the cleaners, but the whole thing was embarrassing and rude to both us and the table they moved. Our entire $300 meal (2 kids, 2 adults) was over in 65 minutes. They took our food order before our drink order. When I asked about an appetizer, they responded, "well, what do you want to know?" (I suggested they simply describe it). They barely checked on us. They cleared the rest of our dinner plates while I was still eating. They brought our check while I was still eating. We had appetizers, salads, and entrees, but we still were in and out in 65 minutes. I never got the chance to order my glass of wine, yet I asked for the wine list. The bill gave suggested tip amounts of 20, 25, or 30 percent. We never tip less than 20 percent. Our family eats at all levels of dining establishments on a regular basis. But suggesting upwards of what amounts to a $90 tip for maybe four total trips to our table and service my 15-year old could beat in his sleep is ridiculous. In the end, I wrote this review because there is a lot of potential. The atmosphere and location are great. The chef is talented. The risotto needs a boost. The staff needs significant training or replacement. I would happily drop this kind of money for the right meal, but not for the experience we received. I was really disappointed.

John D.

Yelp
Came here recently as part of a MA vacation and thought it was excellent. Service was friendly, atmosphere was trendy and food was excellent. We ordered the pear salad and broiled oysters to start (pictured). As you can see, both were well presented, good sized portions and delicious. I ordered the Fish Stew for my main course and also enjoyed it thoroughly. Book your reservation in advance as this place is popular and fills up and I can see why. It is excellent!

Yelp
We were visiting from the west coast and stayed in Bearskin Neck. Feather and Wedge was recommended for dinner. We did not think to make reservations and luckily we were able to sit at the bar. The bartender was our server and she was very attentive. Our food was wonderful! Presentation was simple and beautiful and the food was delicious! We had the Seafood stew and Clam linguine with bread.

Yelp
This place has potential! The food was good but the service and our overall experience at this place wasn't the greatest ! There was someone who was at the bar drunk and falling all over the place and it made others feel very uncomfortable including myself. The staff tried to move him but he kept coming back for more . Overall the staff was overwhelmed and didn't seem to have it all together.Ordered things and took forever to receive it and when asked again the response was ohh yah ! Not attentive so don't expect much and you won't be disappointed

Yelp
The charcuterie plate was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is dressy and relaxing. You have to love the feel of relaxing amongst money. The cod was well seasoned and presented beautifully. This will be a go to restaurant when in town!

Yelp
Here's the thing: the food is very good, but the menu is small and changes every day. This creates a kind of Catch 22, because you need to reserve in advance but you can't be sure what will be on the menu when you arrive. I had the oysters, the Bonny bread (which was very good but costs $6), and the fish stew, which cost $32 and was mostly mussels. In addition, the wine menu is only by the glass and is not on the same level as the food. The service is excellent, but at that cost, I think I'll skip it next time.

Yelp
Great little place-drinks were very strong! One of the best charcuterie boards we've ever gotten-anywhere. I would suggest not bothering with getting bread (they charge for this) if you're getting apps and dinner as the portions are pretty large. Our mains were the cod and the steak. The steak did require salting and wasn't as tender as I would've expected for the price point but still good and the mashed potatoes were excellent!

Yelp
Great service... welcoming and not a rushed in any way. Great drinks, unbelievable Massachusetts Oysters, and the best Mussels , I've ever had with Pernod and Cream, and crusty Bread. Super Eggplant Parmigiana and marvelous Salads..... The Chefs are fantastic!! Don't miss it !

Yelp
A wonderful meal all around. The ambiance is upscale, special occasion yet not stuffy . The menu is not extensive but everything was done to perfection even on a busy Friday night. I particularly enjoyed the salad with pears. The Halibut was delicious and we shared a strawberry shortcake dessert which was wonderful and not too sweet. If you're looking for a special meal in Rockport (that is not a lobster meal, though there may be one on the menu), try Feather and Wedge. Make a reservation. They fill up quickly.

Yelp
Unbelievable. Reservations at 6 PM. FINALLY GOT SEATED AT 6:40! After any number of parties we're seated before us. This place is just too precious for words. Especially given the food is only OK. Never coming back!!!!!

Yelp
Atmosphere is exceptional and the staff was knowledgeable and always present. They have a good wine selection and a fantastic tuna tartare. Sitting outside in the cold was accommodated by their heaters which kept us all comfortable. Would definitely recommend and return.
