Unfortunately our dinner date was not a great experience this time around. the server did not introduce himself he was very short tempered and unfriendly. He spoke English, was an older Hispanic man but seemed overwhelmed with the work. he didn’t make us feel welcome just took the order and kitchen staff brought the food. Federal American grill downtown has great staffing thus we decided to try federal American grill again at the heights. The experience was not pleasant. We paid almost 90 plus for each person. I took the dessert to go, as soon as I got home and opened it was the hardest chocolate brownie I ever had, rock like. The Food was good to some extent, the kitchen did very well, the food was made accurately. We still have the receipt to show the ill experience is authentic.

Did a 40th birthday here last Sunday. They moved us to a private room at no extra cost. Wonderful open space with plenty of room. Allowed us to bring in decorations, balloons,etc. Management and staff were very welcoming and attentive. One person ordered the fries green tomatoes with crab meat as an appetizer for the table and they were stupendous! Orders for brunch were varied but everyone was very pleased. We were not rushed - top quality all around. Thanks for a great birthday celebration!

We made reservations for a late dinner with a big party. The restaurant was not prepared. Our party included 24 people and we only had one server who clearly needed help. We asked for a manager after he took our order 2 times and then came back again trying to verify who had what. The restaurant did provide us with a complimentary appetizer. But from the looks of it the other guest were waiting a while for their food as well. Once we received our food, it was flavorful. We paid our bill in good timing. But I will say a 9pm reservation should not turn into closing the restaurant.

Went on Mothers Day and it was great! Parking is either across the street or you can do complimentary valet. The menu for Mothers Day was very good. Food excellent and the service was on point. There’s indoor or outdoor dining plus a nice bar. We will be back!

Lillian was our server this time! All the servers we have had are super knowledgeable about the menu, they know the products they don’t and do have, and the drinks and food were superb! We typically have the seafood plates like sea bass, crusted snapper, blackened mahi and their chicken. All very good and the butter cake was delicious. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite spots now! Thanks HRW! My blackened ahi tuna was cooked to perfection of medium as requested! The best flavor and taste combo with the couscous. Old Fashions are my favorite and mine were made fantastic.

Service was very slow at first but then it picked up. It took 2 hours for a party of 2 to have a 2 course hrw lunch. I wouldn't call the service fine dining but the food was excellent and so were the old fashions!

Best Chicken Fried Steak ever. Wait staff was great, food was great. Management was active and supervising to assure best experience for the diners. Elegant atmosphere, large cocktail bar, restaurant was clean and organized. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Had lunch at Federal American Grill with my aunt for my birthday and it was such a good time. We all tried different drinks and meals, and everyone left happy. I went for the Philly cheesesteak and a bourbon peach smash. The drink was strong in the best way, and the cheesesteak hit all the right notes with tender meat, soft bread, and no weird chewy bits, just good quality all around. At the table we also tried the mango island, which could definitely use a bit more alcohol, the short rib with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, the bang bang shrimp, and the sticky ribs with seasonal veggies. The ribs were seasoned perfectly, the short rib was tender though a little more gravy wouldn't hurt, and my aunt was obsessed with the bang bang shrimp's sweet and spicy combo. They even finished the veggies, so that says a lot. The fries, though, need some work. This is the second Federal American Grill location I've tried, and the fries just weren't it both times -- kind of underwhelming compared to everything else on the plate. The service was a bit slow since there was only one server working, but he did the best he could and was still super nice the whole time, so props to him for keeping it together. The cherry on top was the complimentary bread pudding for my birthday, a sweet little surprise and pretty decent too. We also tried the Lalo shots, which they don't serve the traditional way. It was a huge pour for eleven dollars and honestly a great bang for your buck. All in all, it was a great experience with good food, good vibes, and kind service. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu . I'm just hoping the fries step up their game next time.

We made reservations for Saturday, February 14th (Valentine's Day) to celebrate my mother's 83rd birthday. The reservation was for seven people and was made through OpenTable. There was no mention at the time of booking that the restaurant would be offering a $75 prix fixe menu, so that came as a surprise when we arrived. We understand holiday menus happen that wasn't the issue. The issue was the value. The starters included a choice of Caesar salad, tortilla soup, crab cake, or wedge salad. At our table we had the Caesar salad, tortilla soup, and crab cake. * The tortilla soup was extremely thick -- almost the consistency of picante sauce. * The Caesar salad wasn't bad in flavor, but the portion was tiny. I was served maybe five forkfuls. * The crab cake was edible, but nothing memorable. For entrées, the options were short rib with bacon and mushroom risotto, fish with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables, or steak for an additional $15. I ordered the short rib with risotto and spinach. It wasn't horrible, but it lacked flavor and absolutely did not feel like a $75 dish. Dessert choices were a brownie or bread pudding. I chose the bread pudding and was very disappointed. Two members of our party (my husband and son) didn't order because the limited menu didn't appeal to them, but since the reservation was for seven, I tipped for seven. In total, we spent about $650 for five meals -- and it simply did not feel like a $650 experience. I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant because the regular menu looks great, and I may try it again under normal circumstances. However, I would not participate in another prix fixe event there.

Having had a great experience at the Katy location, I came here to celebrate a business deal and left a bit disappointed. The vibe was my first surprise; instead of a high-end steakhouse, the interior leans heavily into a cluttered, noisy sports bar aesthetic. Think photos and memorabilia covering every wall, blaring TVs and music, and staff stations with napkins and high chairs fully visible. It's a lot. It gives Cracker Barrel rather than high end steakhouse. The 8oz filet was the one true highlight--cooked to a perfect medium and excellent. Unfortunately, everything else fell short. The accompanying mac and cheese tasted like it was made with boxed noodles and a watery, flavorless sauce. The spinach had unmelted chunks of butter scattered throughout. Dessert was a true misadventure. The skillet cookie with ice cream presented a bizarre textural experience: a thin, burnt, bitter crust on the bottom, with the rest being raw, mushy, and undercooked to the point I questioned its safety as a raw dough (still ate it though!). The skillet itself was scalding hot, which felt like an unnecessary hazard. With two drinks, my bill came to around $100. For that price, I expect a much more polished experience. This location might work as a middle ground if your group is torn between a sports bar and a nice dinner, but as a destination steakhouse, it doesn't deliver. I definitely prefer the Katy location.

Came in on a Friday night and before we headed over to discovery green for a girls night. We made a reservation and when we arrived it was a pretty quiet night and not too busy. The restaurant itself was dimly lit, which made it feel nice and cozy, loved this for a girls night, but could be great for a date night. Rayna was our server and she was super sweet and very attentive throughout the evening. When I asked for a few recommendations on he handheld options, she was great with helping me decide. I knew that having seen truffle parm's fries on the menu, that it was a must have for anything I ordered. I opted for the Philly cheesesteak and subbed the parm fries. When the meal came the fries were cold, and Rayna was super quick to get some fresh hot ones out. I must say, I was still disappointed in the fries, as I didn't feel they were anything like truffle fries. There was parm on top but couldn't much taste the truffle. I wouldn't go back for those specifically. They Philly itself was good, and well seasoned and cheesy like I like it! I also ordered the espresso martini. I did learn something going forward for when I order these. They're pre-batched, meaning they're premade ahead of time. This could be a good thing or bad, but I love a freshly shaken martini. This one was a bit strong on the espresso taste, so it tooo me a little longer to drink, but definitely had the right amount of vodka! With it being all of our first time here, Rayna brought us out a dessert, the bourbon bread pudding, which was quite delicious!! All in all great night, would want to go back to try some other entrees.

Great team shared by an amazing owner. They are always accommodating!!! They made an entree that is no longer on the menu for my friend's birthday and made it very special. Thank you!

Good parking , music wasn't bad . Service was amazing! people were very welcoming and kind! bathroom was fun and clean . my shrimp and grits was great but the salad was sad but it's restaurant week so it's smaller. I did love the drinks !! 7$ cocktails from 3-7 everyday which is amazing!! $25 for brunch and lunch for restaurants week which is a steal!! and the manager was cuteeeeee i think it was the manger not sure .

Food and service was above and beyond. Our waiter gave us a great experience, my parents loved the food and the service.

Our waiter was so cool. We chatted about music, Canada lol drinks. The oysters were tiny but good, the surf and turf was delish but the veggies were not, loaded baked potato was fire too. The drinks were decent. Cute date night. Oh the meatballs were so good!

The staff were amazing and the space was not too loud with very low lights. Tyler and V were very attentive. The old fashion was delish and the scallops and risotto were good and the bacon stole the show! I found out later that I should get the bang bang sauce in my Brussels sprouts since although good, I did feel like something was missing. Overall a good night and birthday dinner!

Valet parking is best option. We had reservations and were seated right away. The service from the hostess to wait staff was very pleasant; waitresses was super attentive and helpful with making selections. My family and I visited here for Father's Day (Saturday) and we all enjoyed our entrees, appetizers and desserts. The short rib was very tender and was nicely paired with spinach and risotto. The chicken fried streak was delicious and the meatloaf was savory. This was a great experience at a nice local restaurant. We will be back!!

This will not be a long review, but it will be a personal one. I chose this restaurant because my dad and I used to come here for Happy Hour after he left the courthouse. The food was always phenomenal, and the bartenders knew how to make the perfect Ketel One Martini. Unfortunately, my father passed away recently, and I was tasked with picking a location for friends and family to gather after his burial. This was my top choice, and I'm so happy with that decision. We initially reserved a room for 30, but that number quickly increased, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. Andrew (the manager) and Lilly, our server, were flexible and helpful. The ambiance was great; the room was nicely lit as we paid tribute to my dad. The preset menu was very reasonable per person, and the drinks were just as I remembered--superb. This may seem like an odd place to have such a somber gathering, but it brought me so much joy to share one of my dad's and my favorite spots with the rest of the family. Mahalo for your kindness; it will forever be remembered. I guess that was a little long..

We celebrated a birthday dinner here with friends and had a great time. Decorated with lots of dark wood, the place has a nice vibe. The menu has a good variety of food and drinks, something for everyone. I had the Meatloaf which was delicious, especially the gravy. The Truffle Mac & Cheese was a favorite. The Carrot Cake was amazing. They brought over a birthday dessert. If I lived in the area this would be a regular spot for me.

First visit tonight Our waiter was Charles if I'm not mistaken. He was kind, patient and extremely friendly. The ambiance was charmingly inviting. Based on the travel, it's a well known establishment. The food was great from the appetizers, meal, desert and coffee. Definitely will return

Zero Quality Control !!!! This wasn't the first sloppy order from here, but it was my last !! No sauce on the Classic Philly Cheesesteak Most of the fries were 1" or less in length and in different stages of doneness... like scraps, some cooked multiple times. The Iceberg Wedge Salad had only 5 small pieces of pork belly. Two so crisp they were like leather and one piece almost raw. Stay

I love it here! Great music and EXCELLENT service. They have indoor/outdoor options. I love the private room option too. I've come for brunch, lunch, dinner, and hosted a business event here. I have yet to be disappointed. The food quality is fresh and tasty and they have some pretty cool drink options too. Can't complain about the funny bathroom signs either. Although the parking lot is really small, they do have a complimentary valet parking. Gonna give it a 3 because our server Danielo (hope i spelled that right!) was great and on his game. The ambiance is casual to nice, low lights, however it's not really a romantic place imho. I got the petite felit mignon with sautéed spinach and mac-n-cheese. My company had the rib-eye. All was going well until my filet arrived. You know how people pound a chicken with a meat mallot to flatten it? Well, they did this to the filet (after cutting it half width wise) which was a surprise and a disappointment--never in my life have I seen a filet this thin and long. Not to mention it was not cooked as I had requested. I should have returned it right away, but I was trying to be on my best behavior. Brussel sprouts were dry af and undercooked too....just. no. I will not be returning. Pros--stellar service, fantastic buttery biscuits that come with an amazing jalapeño jelly. Good mac and sautéed spinach, cool decor, casual, good service, and valet (bc parking sux/residential).

Have you ever been to a restaurant who doesn't skip a beat? Well, Federal American Grill is the place. You're greeted at the door either by the bartender or host. Once seated the wait staff, who was professional and educated about the restaurant and menu, served us some hot biscuits with jalapeño jam and whipped butter. They went so quick we didn't even get a picture. We order appetizers: sticky ribs, chicken wings, braised short rib sliders(the best) and crab Crockett. Yes we're greedy!!! lol I ordered the Janice's Meatloaf w/ mashed potatoes, crispy onion strings and bordelaise sauce.. you talking something good. Nope, I didn't eat it all full from appetizers. It's a family friendly restaurant. In the evening they dim the lights which makes the ambiance more romantic. It would be a great date night, family affair, weekend brunch and they even have a private room for parties.

Within the past 2 years I've seen maybe half a dozen of these new restaurants pop up around the Houston area. The look is vintage 60's Luxury American. Wood paneled walls, lots of pictures of people having fun and drinking. Good to finally check one out. Service was a bit odd, walked in as they opened for lunch on a Tuesday and they seemed a bit unready. We were sat by the busboy I think, kinda funny. Our server was nice, but just seemed a little green. Did nothing wrong, just didn't have the rhythm down quite yet. He suggested 2 apps that were really not that good. The Smoked Pork Belly which comes out with a little show. They need to be crispy, I want more char on the fatty cuts of pork. Also went with the Meatballs, not a great choice, flavor was interesting enough, but the texture had them falling apart once you stuck them with a fork. We didn't finish them. I really enjoyed my Chicken Federale, excellently prepared and nice bright flavors. The burger my buddy got was also looking real nice, he's not a big guy and he deleted the whole thing. Overall I think the main courses and drinks seem to anchor the menu here, as well as good location.

Been several times Food (steaks or seafood) is always excellent and service is top notch. A little loud but restaurant is well designed and looks great.

An easy choice for any night! The Rice Military location always has such a welcoming staff, the outdoor area is a vibe with the lights and the restaurant inside has a great restaurant-bar vibe with its low lighting. As far as appetizers, I highly recommend starting with the Fried Cheeseburger Roll. The mixture of the spicy ranch, sweet and spicy sauce is surprisingly something we've decided to come back for. Sounds simple but your mouth will have a party. The Sticky Ribs were good but not our favorite. It does come off more on the Asian inspiration side but since we are big carnivores and grill often, it wasn't that impressive for us. Worth a try, absolutely! The Chicken Fried Steak was a great choice! It's a good serving but not the biggest we've ever had in Texas. Beyond that, the pepper country gravy paired well with the breading. Tastes like home and I just simply wished there was more of it on my plate. I'm a salty person, so I could have added a bit on the plate but don't let that deter you from giving it a shot. If calories didn't count, I'd put this place as a once a week go-to in the local area!

First time to this restaurant. Food was great. Service was great. Very enjoyable evening. Would recommend.

My favorite! Lunch, dinner, or drinks they hit it out of the ballpark! I go to Shepard a lot because I love having 'lunch with Logan'! She's incredible! Although, the Katy and the Woodlands store are also fantastic! I've yet to go downtown or Katy, but I hear that they are perfect for business lunch!!! I'm going to try soon! Everything they do is 1st class service and the atmosphere is pure!!! I can't say enough good things! I love it when my people come from all over the world so I can show them Houston hospitality!!! That's Federal!

Yessss! Best waiter ever! Food was excellent! Cocktails were amazing! Smoked old fashioned was an experience! Great location for a date night or business dinner. Even had some prom goers while we visited.

Every time I come to this location I have the best time, best service and best food!! My favorite drink is the Flaming Oldie and ask for table side service to see how it's made. I'll try to attach a video of it

I'm the kind of person who ultimately values the food above service and ambiance, but the service aspect was such a turnoff that I doubt we'll return (and we live a solid 3 min walk away). For the prices they charge, you should get an elevated experience. I do have to say, the food was fairly solid. The oysters were fantastic, our Cajun sandwich was surprisingly good, and the French dip was good not great- the meat was tender but it was well done and the texture of the French dip bread was odd and springy. It would have been substantially better with a crusty loaf. Our friends got the Truffle Stuffed Chicken, which I tried and really enjoyed, and the Asian tuna steak salad, which he really liked but I wasn't impressed with. The texture didn't seem fresh to me and the bright hue leads me to believe it's been gassed with carbon monoxide (a common but meh practice that alters the fish). Even if I'm wrong about that, the texture was too soft and offputting. As for the service. When getting seated, we asked for one of the several booths that were open but was told they're all reserved. We then watched them all stay empty for 20-30 minutes, so we couldn't help but feel snubbed. We weren't overly concerned about it, but it was in the back of our brain. We left an hour and a half to eat to get to our show on time. It took quite a long time before we were even able to order (we knew within 5 minutes what we wanted). When over an hour had gone by and we still hadn't received our food yet, we were really concerned about missing the start of our show (spoiler alert, we did). We politely asked our server (who was really nice) about the eta, and a manager came by, which we didn't ask for but appreciated. He explained how behind they were and asked us if he could get us a drink. We wouldn't have otherwise gotten another since we were on a hurry, but what a nice gesture, right? We ate quickly and since we were leaving 7 minutes before our show actually started, I payed our bill for the four of us quickly and we all rushed out. When we looked at the bill to split the next day, we noticed that they charged us (an exorbitant amount btw) for the drinks they offered! Lame.

Sad I do not have the picture to remunerate my great experience. Came in for a quick cocktail and to run over some business details in my planner, and I ordered the Sinatra. The Sinatra, for me is a good blend of the Moscow Mule and the Old Fashioned, kind of like a Bourbon Mule if you will. Crisp, refreshing yet with just enough kick to cool down your anxious jitters. Continues to be a good favorite of mine, Paul the bartender was extremely attentive, as well as the hostess. Federal American Grill continues to be one of my favorite spots for quick, formidable, and strong cocktails. I always get my best work/business meetings done here! The attention to the clientele, from the valet to the bartending staff continues to remind me why it's one of my top picks!!

We enjoyed our visit on Saturday! Plenty of parking in the back and the staff were all so welcoming and wonderful. We loved the vibe as well. We tried the ribs, spinach dip, and a burger. The food was fine, not amazing but not bad. Our favorite dish was probably the spinach dip.

We've dined here before and have always had a good experience. It's been about 7 months since our last visit and a lot has changed. The valet was no where to be found, we waited for 10 minutes at the valet stand and finally left and found street parking. Portions were minuscule compared to cost. Service was subpar at best. I asked for gluten free options and was never given any until I asked again. The half portions on the entrees I'd say are more like quarter size at best. The salmon bowl was laughable, I asked for double veggies instead of rice and the amount of veggies was shocking, it didn't even seem like enough for one full serving. The entire evening just didn't go as we would've liked which is unfortunate as we were celebrating a special occasion.

The staff was amazing! We were there for my birthday and had about a dozen people but the staff made it happen! The food, atmosphere and drinks were fantastic! Shout out to Peter, Justin, Paul, Eric and the beautiful hostess for making my 55th birthday a 5 star experience!

Great experience here after flying in rather late to Houston. Bartender was awesome, food was solidly solid. Enjoyed the locals and vibe.

I ate lunch here for my birthday and i did not regret it! Amazing service from the bartender. He made my tea as sweet as i like it with simple syrup! The inside of the restaurant is cozy , very nice. Complimentary Biscuits jam and butter was good! Their tortilla soup was some of the best i've had. Man oh man , that wagyu meatloaf was delicious! Amazing food, reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning here in the future with some friends/family and have them try the meatloaf. Food was great! The restaurant menu has s lot of choices. We had the salmon which was moist and no fish taste. Meatloaf had a very nice sauce. Short ribs were very good too. My margarita had so much alcohol I had to ask for less. Never had to do that before! Dessert was nice sized so we didn't feel like we overdid it later. It was my bday and I don't know why they asked when reserving a table because it was not noted at dinner. The manager was very attentive though.

The food was great but I will be honest my scallops dish was a tad bit salty. I really don't eat much salt so it could just be me. The butter cake was delicious and I can rave all day on my strawberry lemon drop it was so good. The waiters and service were great I do recommend to try if you're in the area.

We felt that the service and food was just okay. First of all, it took forever for anything come out. By the time they brought me my wine, I didn't feel the desire to order an appetizer. When our burger and chicken n waffle order finally arrived, it was mediocre. The burger meat could have been a tad more thicker. If you're a decent size man, you will definitely be starving after that burger. My husband's chicken and waffle was terrible - like the waffle was hard and potatoes were cold. It was a very long wait only to be disappointed by the quality of the food.

It's Saturday night, I just got back into town and I'm feeling lazy but craving a steak. Federal American Grill and Uber Eats for the win! I ordered the filet mignon, medium rare. It comes with a side of mac n cheese and sautéed spinach. The steak was chef's kiss! And while I didn't not ate a bite of the Mac and let the hubs eat the rest, it was so good! The spinach was tasty, too. Hubby got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and he enjoyed it. Looking forward to eating there in person, maybe on a day that I'm not feeling lazy!

Did $25 lunch menu for restaurant week. Appetizers were great but entree not so good. Three of us had the Chicken Federale. Chicken was dry and couscous somewhat bland in spite of tiny bits of hot pepper. Would not order again.

We just had our 20th anniversary dinner with family here and everything was fantastic. The private room was wonderful and the perfect size. Our waiter Cody was beyond fantastic. He went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable with everything. Would recommend this place 100% for a private event or dinner.

The food was AMAZING. Absolutely the best restaurant I have eaten at yet. Absolutely a good choice if you have an hour to wait for food- which would be my only complaint. No less than a hour wait, on top of that when we walked in the host was nowhere to be seen. We waited around 10 minutes until a waiter came and seated us after looking around for the host for a minute or two. The service was extremely lacking. You definetly couldn't eat here if you were on a time limit. Other than that, the ambiance was okay- it was sort of hot in the restaurant but nothing too bad.

I'm leaving this review because my first dining experience was GREEEEAT!! I met up for our Best Friend Catch Up dinner last night. I wasn't sure about this location, but I'm so glad we chose it. I arrived and the valet driver wasn't readily available so I just kind of pulled in and sat there for a few minutes...I figured he was probably just one person parking all the cars since the restaurant didn't seem to be very busy. The night was beautiful and breezy. In fact, I was shocked not to see anyone sitting outside on their beautiful patio... It's a very serene and classy set up. Someone from inside opened the door for me as I walked up and directed me to the host stand where I was quickly seated in the cocktail area. I loved it over there! All the tables have white tablecloths and it's just a very pleasant and mature atmosphere. Not too dark but lit beautifully with soft white string lights added for calming ambiance. Our server suggested the meatballs as an appetizer and they did not disappoint. This appetizer could literally be a meal. It's probably six meatballs on a hot Skillet plate with mashed potatoes and fried onion straws on top. The swedish meatball gravy that it comes with was not too thick and was deliciously seasoned to perfection... A yummy sharable. The bar is close by so we had to have a couple of adult beverages to toast our best friend's dinner. I had prosecco and he had a glass of wine. After that filling appetizer we ordered our entrees. He had the scallops and I had the braised short rib (half order).... I didn't think we could add anything else, but our server insisted on allowing us to taste their signature dessert, bread pudding. He gave us a small sampler serving and I have to say it was perfect & Delicious...Whoever made it really put their heart into it! See you soon Federal Grill!

The manager, Justin, as well as the wait staff treated me so well on my recent visit. I called in advance & Justin was able to make sure I could watch my godson play in his 1st MLB game. Had a table reserved for my group. We had the most amazing meals too. The Ahi Tuna was seared perfectly and I loved the polenta. Great flavor!! My friend said her Salmon entree was cooked perfectly. As well as my other friend had the cheeseburger bowl. Hats off to the Federal Grill for taking such great care of my table. I'll definitely be returning soon.

First time at Federal American Grill. I was looking for a place to have my Birthday Brunch and this place kept coming up, I also had a friend recommend it. I decided to make the reservation. The service was great, the food was good, and the ambience was nice. We ordered pineapple mimosa carafes and they were not stingy with the champagne. (good vibes!) They bring out complimentary biscuits with this orange jelly and butter and they are perfect. Warm, fresh, and very tasty. (Or were we just hungry? Lol! Or do I just love bread? Yes to both questions) The bread was divine though, seriously. I ordered from the HRW menu and started with the iceberg wedge w/no bacon for the appetizer and the Thai shrimp & grits as my entree. A very unique taste. I would recommend trying it if you're open to new dishes. Yes, as the birthday woman I received a free dessert! Top notch drinks, service, and management. Exactly what you'd expect, the food is spot on cooked to specification. Drinks are hearty and well crafted. The ambiance allows you focus on your table, while the mirrored walls don't close anyone in from good people watching. The dining area is much nicer than the bar or large outside seating; where cigar smoking is not only permitted but encouraged. I recommend the flaming old fashion for a showy & tasty treat.

My first time trying this place today and it was great . I made reservations a few minutes before arriving in case it was busy. The restaurant was not busy at all so we were seated right away. Our food came out fresh and hot . My favorite was the fried chicken breast. It was seasoned perfectly! The mimosas were good as well. Great guest service. If you are looking for a place to brunch without the wait , this is the place .

Note this is 3.5. Star review. I came here to eat for my birthday after find the spot off of Yelp. I had a party of 5 in total including one kid. The ambiance is cool and accomodating and there's a choice of valet parking or self parking. We were greeted immediately and and seated. I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer which was very good. I highly recommend this appetizer. Once my gueist arrived a few minutes later due to traffic we alm ordered food and drinks. I got the half rack of ribs. These were average in my opinion and I'm a rib aficionado. They could have been more flavorful and tender. My lady got the meatloaf which she said was also average. For the drinks I tried the Fizzy Lifting Drink and my lady got the Uno Mas. The drinks were decent nothing memorable. Service was good until the end when the waitress charges for an item that was exchanged after we didn't like her recommendation. I won't be back here, but only because of the food, there's too many great restaurants in Houston and at this price point I expect above average flavor and service.

Stop by for a Saturday Brunch for a Birthday! Everything was great for the occasion. I had the meatball and mash potato appetizer with a side of seasoned veggies. Nice portion size for an appetizer and really great flavor. It seemed as though we had the entire restaurant to ourselves, so that was an added bonus. Eric our waiter was so attentive and helpful with menu and drink selections. Thank you Eric for making our experience a joy!!! And the owner even stepped in and helped out as well. This wasn't my first time here but it surely felt that way. Thanks

If I could give a 0 stars I would. Stunningly bad meal and experience. The food and service were both terrible and it was so expensive. Took too long to get initial drink order. took too long to get the drinks. took too long to take our order. Appetizers came out but then it took too long for the entrées to arrive and they were all cold. The food was low quality and poorly prepared. One in our party did not get what he ordered. They failed to bring the desserts that came with the prix fix. They did finally bring them to go after they got them out of the freezer and heated them up in the microwave. I could go on. But that is enough. Terrible. It was like your worst experience at Applebee's, but expensive.

Amazing as always! Food is consistent and always great. Service is attentive and quick, I would ask for Krystal. Recommend the old fashion and if you come in the fall ask for AJ to make the Ape Escape made with Monkey Shoulder.
