On the Grid : Federal Donuts

"What's better than freshly made donuts? Donuts and fried chicken, it's the ultimate sweet and savory combination. Whether you come here for coffee and a donut in the morning or a fried chicken sandwich for lunch (or both), you won't be disappointed. A few of our favorites are their old fashioned and anything lemon but we won't lie, we've tried them all and you really can't go wrong." - The McQuades

The donuts and chicken sandwich are amazing. The service is terrible, the woman who rang us out kept disappearing and just seemed absolutely miserable. She was really quiet and hard to hear and not friendly. Also the interior seems really run down. Everything needs a coat of paint, there's trash on the floor, the special donuts are behind this chicken wire glass so its really hard to see them. Also my sandwich took forever and we were the only patrons there.

Google
I went in expecting much more than we got taste wise. The good thing was the chicken was cooked fresh to order the fries had to much rosemary seasoning on them it was very powerful. They were of the glazed donuts. I was very underwhelmed with the cookies and cream and the cinnamon donut I tried. Not a place I will run back to while stopping in Philly.

Google
Donuts are absolutely amazing and I always crave them but it sounds like a night club. I asked the employee to I lower the volume as I could not hear her and she just write out ignored me They made the donuts with sugar despite me asking for plain and wasted my time … very sad, they need to train the employees at the very least on how to make sure they are taking the order properly. When I notified the other female employee that I wanted plain, she said you usually have to notify us if you want it plain. That is your job to ensure every customer understands what your usual is! Not even a single apology Now I am standing here waiting when I should not have to. Love the donuts though. The employer needs to check the employees attitudes

Google
We ordered a Federal Donuts wedding cake for our big day, and it was an great choice! We loved having a variety of flavors, which offered something different and fun for our guests. The delivery and setup were easy and stress-free, letting us focus on enjoying our celebration. It made for a memorable centerpiece that added a whimsical touch to our wedding. I highly recommend a Federal Donuts donut wedding cake for any couple looking for a wedding cake alternative!

If you're a donut lover this spot is for you! I am personally a yeast donut fan so I was disappointed they did not offer any except cake donuts but they offer a wider variety of decadent donuts like banana pancakes and baklava! We opted for the banana pancake and I didn't think the flavor was fully there. We did try a bit of our friends baklava and that is a highly recommend flavor! We also got the zataar fries and it was good. Nice and crunchy with good seasoning! My FAVORITE item was the early bird breakfast sandwich!!!! Nice and big piece of fried chicken along side my favorite breakfast items and not to mention that steamed egg Service wise, it was quick and the staff were efficient. Very convenient spot to grab and go or sit for a quick bite.

Google
Quite possibly the best donut and chicken place in the city. The fresh donuts are fantastic and so are the artisan donuts. If you’re trying to keep it on the cheaper side, the fresh simple donuts are the way to go. The chicken tenders are amazing, and so are the house sauces that come with. I will always recommend this place for those looking for quality chicken and donuts, and it never lets down.

Google
Gonna be honest, this place holds up to the hype. The donuts are simple cake doughnuts, with interesting and well composed toppings. The strawberry cheese cake was so good. It hit all the right notes. But their more simple donuts, like the chocolate on chocolate, are just as delightful. Specifically, you can tell that they're made with quality ingredients. I like their chicken sandwich. I did think it would be bigger, but other than that, it was good. It was well seasoned and well cooked. Oh! And the fries were great. They were fresh, boardwalk style. A true, can't miss. I do think the menu board should mention the cheese, sauce, and pickles on the sandwich, and maybe use a thinner sliced pickle. But all in all, I'm a fan.

Google
Had the Early bird. It was incredible. The red pepper relish was great and the egg was cooked perfectly. Also had a blueberry coffee cake donut and it might be the best donut I’ve ever had

Yelp
Went to federal donuts and the lady helping was sooo nice. The donuts were definitely a brag and was delicious.

Yelp
Let's start off with when you first enter the building your nostrils are filled with goodness. You smell the sweet aroma of the donuts. On this visit we tried four different flavors. Za'atar, sweet soy garlic, honey ginger, and chili garlic. They all were very good but my least favorite was the chili garlic. The honey donut the chicken comes with is Amazing! Its soft and sweet I can eat a dozen of them alone. I didn't get a fancy donut this round maybe next time. I just wish it was a boneless chicken option other than the chicken sandwich. I prefer chicken without the bone. Wings were small but very crunchy. I'll be back s The chili garlic flavor was ok it just needed a sweetness to it in my opinion. A bit spicy Za'atar was definitely my favorite it was full of flavor Sweet soy garlic was my second fav had a sweet tart taste that I loved. Reminded me of the sauce used for dumplings. Honey ginger was good too & it wasn't too much ginger which I was expecting (it was my hunnis fav)

Yelp
This is my happy place when I come to Philly. I had this for the first time last year and it changed my life. Fresh, hot donuts can flip your day into a great day in a moment. When you order, it does take some time but it's worth it The donut is hot, moist, delicious and produces joy. The staff working there are friendly as well. If you're reading this, you're wasting time. Just go and get your donut

Yelp
Awesome. The donuts were great, and the employees were so amazingly helpful and kind when we stopped in.

Yelp
Wow I been here once and I'm dreaming of this place still! Workers are crazy nice! Some seating inside and a restroom inside. Donuts are cake donuts, they have some hot and fresh (only few flavors) and some premade - all cake donuts I don't like cake donuts, but I loveeee the cake donuts here. The chocolate has to be my favorite! The glaze was good too. The banana was a no for me, had a weird taste. The strawberry lavender is super messy but so good and only good fresh bc all the sugar. The fried chicken sandwich is good , was a tad salty but juicy and crispy. The egg sandwich was good, had a spicy pepper jam sauce but was good! The fries were good and crispy, and huge portion! They also have fried chicken sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches

Yelp
Unfortunately I like cake and donuts. Seperate. But if it's ur thing no hard feelings Im just not a fan. I got like every flavor they just all tasted the same didn't give me that donut satisfaction iykyk. cool concept though could we get a filled cake donut... anyway I like blueberry cake donuts those are OG super hard to beat cake wise

Yelp
Went thrifting and decided to stop by this place. Best decision ever lol. The staff were hella nice, the donuts were sooo good and the ranch chicken sandwich was insane. The vibe in this place is really chill and they let you use the bathroom without paying for anything.
google avatar

Yelp
Really good donuts and the price is also reasonable. Biting into a warm donut is the best feeling and this place definitely does that. I tried their specialty donuts as well as their other normal donuts and they're fantastic. The staffs were also really nice and this had become one of my favorite donut spots.

Yelp
I went to visit the nearby Edgar Allen Poe house and was driving to turn around to get to Reading Terminal when I saw this on the corner with a private parking lot. (LOVE FREE OFF STREET PARKING). I was with my dad and we decided to get our morning coffee and donuts here instead after I had mentioned I had visited another location years ago and remembered them to be good. Service was fast and they were willing to explain any questions we had. We grabbed a table outside that had an umbrella for shade and enjoyed our order. My dad got a black coffee and a Donutty Buddy. He really liked it, it was a little too peanutty for me. I got the peach ring donut and strawberry lavender donut along with a Vietnamese iced coffee. The coffee was 100%. I'm so sad that I don't live closer to a Federal Donuts or a place that offers this type of drink without going to a sit down restaurant. The peach ring donut was good (spiced cake with peach glaze and marshmallow topping) but I really enjoyed the warm, fresh out of the oven strawberry lavender donut. It was sweet and a little herbal but in the most delicious way. SO GOOD. I don' t know if I'll ever go back to this location just because it's not in an area that I typically visit when I come to town, but if you're in the area, GO.

Yelp
It has been a few years since I have visited a Federal Donuts. I was so disappointed in several areas. The cleanliness of the store was appalling. This particular location looked as though it NEVER is cleaned! The wait for our food was extremely long. And then, there is the food,....which was horrible. The chicken tenders were flavorless, dry and had an excessive amount of breading and very little chicken. If I had to rate the chicken sandwich, I would give it a one out of ten! Needless to say, I will not be returning to Federal Donuts or even suggest it to anyone else. So disappointed in "WHAT WAS"! Federal Donuts used to have a great product. What happened? Thank you
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
A bit of a longer wait if you are not ordering online for pick up. Make sure to come early if you want to try one of their specialty donuts. Usually those get sold out early and your only option is the hot donuts in flavors cookies and cream, cinnamon and strawberry. These are plain donuts with different flavor sugar coated. Either way they are delicious and freshly baked every day. I have heard great things about their fried chicken sandwich but have not tried it. This location is convenient and has a small parking lot. They are also open late!

Yelp
Hello , I'm writing today because i had an horrible experience today at one of the locations . I went in today order food check number 107 . To the 701 N 7th St Philadelphia,, Pa 19123 . I had received an very over cooked chicken sandwich to the point the chicken was black . The sandwich was as hard as an hockey puck . The lemonade tasted like nothing but water . We called and asked to speak to the manager and was told there was no manager and we would have to wait until Monday to talk to one . We called and told them we wanted to just have the food remade but we would pay for the donuts . They refused to remake the drinks so offered us a refund . Even though i explained to them that the ice had melted due to us driving back . The lady at the register was extremely rude . She didn't great us nor did she even apologize for our sandwich that was rock hard . Another young lady came from the back with a short cut hair and they just continued to whispers , even when they came to the register. We were told that when we arrive we would receive both meals made over. We only received the chicken finger and sandwich . Then we had to wait another 5 minutes for fried . They guy ended up only making one order of friend s leaving us to wait another 5 min for more seasoned fries . This is my very first time eating at Federal donuts and i am overall extremely disappointed in this visit . The customer service was horrible and so was the communication . The girl that was on the register sat on her phone . From the time we arrived until we left in between customers . First sandwhich

Yelp
This was my second time visiting federal donuts since April 2022 and it was just as good as the first time! The breakfast sandwich is so good and unique! The egg was in a fried patty form along with a pepper relish that is out of this world! I loved the bread they used! Me and my fiancée both got a cinnamon sugar donut that is absolutely delicious! The donut is so moist and prepared to perfection! The coating was just the right amount! The cinnamon sugar donut is probably the best one I have ever had in my life. We also got 3 of their speciality donuts: Baklava, Pralines & Cream, and Lavender London Fog!

Yelp
My favorite donuts ever. I love the rotating fancy menu and that they sell La colombe coffee. I went to the newer location near Rittenhouse and I loved the space.

Yelp
I take my daughter by whenever we're in town. Love the donuts and Vietnamese coffee! We eat a 1/2 dozen in one day!

Yelp
I thought Federal Donuts would be a cool spot to check out for a donut breakfast. We got the Cookies and Cream and Strawberry Lavender. Unaware their Hot and Fresh donuts were actually not glazed, I was unpleasantly surprised to find out our donuts were literally the same but with different sprinkles on top. The Cookies and Cream was sweeter than the Strawberry, but both were meh. The donut tasted more like a cake pastry than an actual donut. Getting the glazed would probably have been a better bang for your buck. They also really tax each donut. But at least we got to see a cop drop by for probably a donut.

Yelp
My friends and and decided to fully send the Philadelphia food scene this weekend with over 20 spots. The first spot on the list is the famous Federal donuts, which is known for their chicken and donuts! The donuts are very inexpensive and very very good! We decided to get their chicken tenders, which comes with two sauces of your choice and a honey glazed donut (which we didn't know about), and a cinnamon sugar donut. The chicken tenders ($10.50) had 3 pieces of freshly fried chicken, the batter was super light and crispy. The donut it came with was sweet, but the best part is when you took a bite of the donut and the chicken tender together! It gave me memories of chicken and waffles, and the sweet and salty balanced each other so nicely! But our favorite bite was the cinnamon sugar donut! When you order donuts, they are made fresh to order, so the cinnamon sugar donut came out hot! It was super airy in the middle, not covered in too much cinnamon sugar, and basically melted in your mouth! I know there are multiple federal donut locations, and I can't speak if all of them have this outstanding quality, but definitely check out Federal Donuts when you are in Philadelphia!
google avatar

Tamika B.

Yelp
I am now a believer of "the hype" with Federal Donuts! I had to wait for a little while for my order (made to order; fresh). While waiting, there was a good amount of customers patiently waiting in line to order. At that moment, I knew, it's going to be D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! I wanted to try both donuts and fried chicken -- so I did! This combination is worth all the calories (HUNTY)! Mmm...mmm...mmm! If you love chicken wings (fried crispy; just right) and/or donuts -- Federal Donuts will not disappoint. I had honey ginger wings & fries - yum! The combo came with a drink and a honey donut (it was great; melted in my mouth). Also, tried the old fashioned donut that was just as good! Real donuts. Dunkin Donuts could never! Five stars!
google avatar

Emily G.

Yelp
Got some donuts here for breakfast! We tried the churro and blueberry lavender donuts! Overall the donuts were great, fluffy and chewy. The churro donut was great. The dusting of the cinnamon sugar gave it great crunchy exterior and some chocolate drizzled on, which was also a nice touch. I can't say the same for the blueberry lavender. It wasn't that sweet, and the blueberry flavor got lost with the lavender. I can't say this one was delicious.

Yelp
This place is what I call a joint. It's down the road from the Edgar Allen Poe historical house in Philadelphia. I never expected to find a donut place nestled there off of Fairmount. It's in the most unlikely locations. The counter inside looks like a refurbished bowling alley (really neat!). The young girl working there was super friendly which I always appreciate! I bought a box of donuts to bring home for my kids and a cup of coffee for me. My kids tore through these so fast I could barely get a picture. They taste homemade with really unique glazes. Love it!!! The coffee was just as good. If you are in the city it's definitely a joint to visit. There is a small parking lot for customers. If you are there on a Friday or Saturday you can visit inside the historic house across the road too!

Yelp
I'm still in Philadelphia and found a very good fast fried chicken sandwich. Federal Donuts serves up a tender chicken breast in a crispy seasoned breading. It comes with cheese, pickles and a spicy rooster sauce; I opted for only pickles. It takes a few minutes to cook.... don't forget to order a few fresh homemade donuts for desert.

Steph C.

Yelp
The breakfast sandwich is a big miss. It's a steamed egg (casserole dish style) which is finished in the deep fryer. Not bad but definitely not ideal. The bacon, cheese, and bun were all cold. Sandwich didn't have enough heat to taste fresh. It was pretty much Dunkin-level.
google avatar

Elaine S.

Yelp
These donuts are the bomb. Definitely try a sampling of the (freshly baked) hot donuts. On this day the hot donuts were Cinnamon Sugar, Strawberry Lavendar and Cookies & Cream. I enjoyed the classic cinnamon sugar. I also loved the Easter donut flavors of Marshmallow Peep, Robins Egg and Creme Egg. All the flavors are unique also, like Banana Toffee Nut, loved that one too. The other ones were the Old Fashioned and Chocolate Old Fashioned. This little shop is the original store and when in Philly do visit! They do all cake donuts and I'm not normally a cake donut person but change my mind ... because these are exquisitely delicious!
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
Every time I'm in Philly I make sure to stop by Federal Donuts for a treat. My favorite is the lavender donut, served warm. They're super soft and melts in your mouth.
google avatar

Sasha D.

Yelp
Consistently good donuts, hot and fresh are the way to go but some of their fancy donuts hit the spot too. The best fried chicken sandwich in Philly and a really great breakfast sandwich too
google avatar

Mylene T.

Yelp
Chicken and Donuts who would of known!!! Right!! Wellllll Philly is not a close drive so anytime I plan a trip to Philly it's either a cheesesteak or Federal Donuts! If you haven't tried it, please go and do it. My favorites: Dry Rub Chicken Wings: Buttermilk Ranch and Coconut Curry Donuts: Hands down the Strawberry Lavendar Hot and Fresh sugar donut AND the honey donut which comes with the chicken. They have coffee (hot, cold brew, Vietnamese) anD they recently added French fries and they are tasty! I love this place! So freakin delicious!!!
google avatar

Christopher B.

Yelp
I will very much go out of my way to stop at federal donuts when I'm in the Philadelphia area. It's been a while since I've had the fried chicken, but the donuts are always to die for. The "fancy" donuts are my go to as they are always experimenting with new flavors. Of course you have the standard C&C, Cinnamon Brown Sugar, and Strawberry Lavender. I'm a huge sweets guy, and donuts are my one true weakness. I can't stress this enough. These donuts are spectacular. Especially when warm.
google avatar

Simon W.

Yelp
The best buttermilk ranch Fried Chicken ever! Federal Donuts has some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. It is definitely the best Fried chicken / donut shop I've ever visited. I can't get over how the breast meat is always so juicy and cooked perfectly each time I've visited. This cooked to order fried chicken is consistently is spot on. This is the only fried chicken joint where I actually reach for the normally drier breast piece first. The buttermilk ranch flavor is my favorite perhaps because I'm not sure it's done better elsewhere. Now the donuts are equally awesome. The plain donut that comes with each order of fried chicken is so unassuming are first glance but oh so moist. Each time I visit I try a different flavor and none have disappointed. If you visit right before closing you might be able to snag a few that will be destined for trash otherwise. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this Federal Donuts post since I've visited countless times. One big con, they close at 7pm and they are prompt.
google avatar

Yelp
Yummy donuts! Came here to try this popular spot in Philly and was pleasantly surprised. We tried their cannoli donut and it tasted exactly like one. A bit messy but pretty good.
google avatar

Lidia M.

Yelp
Dirty store , horrible customer service at the counter and super overpriced food . 6 wings for 11$ !!!! I paid $60 dollars for 4 plain donuts , three chicken sandwiches and three small pieces of chicken nuggets ... that s a freaking restaurant dinner for two !!! Still - I would mind that if the customer service ran da tore cleanliness will be better ... also , no AC in the store - was impossible to sit in to eat !

Yelp
Since they're known for their coffee, chicken and donuts, go hungry and make sure you guys try it all!  For my trip, I kicked things off with their fried chicken sandwich and za'atar fries to satisfy my savory cravings. The fried chicken sammie was topped with buttermilk ranch seasoning, American cheese, dill pickles and spicy rooster sauce. It. Was. Poultry. Perfection. Juicy on the inside, crazy crispy on the outside!  The ranch seasoning was super flavorful, and the spicy mayo was wildly addictive.  Now, was it the best chicken sandwich I've ever had?  Probably not, but it was scrumptious nonetheless. And their za'atar fries are a must by the way.  At $3.50, you're getting serious bang for your buck, and the seasoning's out of this world! Now onto the star of the show, their donuts.  Ermergerd , these were easily some of the best donuts I've ever had.  Choose between "hot fresh" and "fancy;" the former comes straight out of the fryer and is tossed in house blended sugars, while the latter's topped with a rotating selection of unique glazes and noms. The only negative thing about their donuts is that they have holes in them...which means less donut for us.  We got ours fresh out of the fryer so we got to enjoy 'em while they were pipin' hot. Warm carby goodness that will warm you from the inside out; a sweet and buttery dough that's soft on the inside and just the right amount of crispy on the outside.  Cake donuts that are legit light and airy?  I didn't even know those existed until now.  I've always been team yeast, but Federal Donuts have officially changed our minds. Yeah, just go and get Federal Donuts stat!  Whether you like sweets or not, we can pretty much guarantee it'll be love at first bite.  Go for the fancy half dozen to try each and every one of their flavors!  You're welcome in advance.

Yelp
Got a 6 pack of doughnuts on our way out of Philly. The simpler doughnuts are made fresh to order and coated in different flavored sugars. Make sure to taste those while they are hot! So good! We tried the cookies and cream and strawberry lavender. We also got some pre-made frosted specialty ones - blood orange, carrot cake, blueberry muffin and guava. The guava was my favorite - tangy and sweet. Blueberry was good too. Carrot cake and blood orange were a little disappointing - not as strong on the flavors. We also enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee - needed more cream but nicely sweetened and strong flavor. Store wasn't busy early in the morning on Sunday.

Yelp
Fried chicken and donuts?! Yes plz. They have fancy donuts that are already made and hot donuts that are made to order as well as chicken and a chicken sandwich. Unfortunately they didn't have their chicken tenders in yet (first thing in the AM), so ordered their chicken sandwich-- and it was delicious. The made to order donut was delicious and warm as well. Definitely a must try when in Philly!

Yelp
I cant believe i've never reviewed Federal donuts. I mean this is probably because most of love this Federal Donut location. Their donuts are fresh cake-hot. I really like the special flavored donuts. They also have the best friend chicken sandwich that is gets sold out very quickly. I think last 2 times i missed it. They also serve coffee and have nice seating area. Parking is available right in front of it. So you can park and enjoy your breakfast without having to worry about parking meters. The staff is friendly and always welcomes with a smile. I recommend trying out Federal Donuts. I , honestly am not a big Donut fan but these guys make it delicous.

Yelp
Delicious donuts, fried chicken, and breakfast sandwiches. What's not to love?? Fed Donuts is a staple of Philadelphia. For anyone new to the concept, consider yourself lucky that there are now so many locations throughout the city, compared to the original location in Pennsport, where the parking situation was the complete opposite of great. It's really pretty simple. You got your hot, fresh donuts, fancy donuts and their latest addition: the breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, bacon, and cherry pepper relish on a potato roll. So simple, yet so delicious. Come after 11am for the fried chicken (which I hear is the bee's knees). For anyone coming from out of town, I highly recommend this location due to the ease of the parking lot and close proximity to the Ben Franklin Bridge and I-95. Fed Donuts didn't re-invent the wheel, but they took a simple concept and made it exceptional. And for that, you get my love. Looking forward to getting my hands on that chicken one of these days...

Yelp
Went for lunch and they were quick, friendly, and produced a good tasting product. Two of my colleagues at the fried 3 piece chicken and another one and I ate the Fried chicken sandwich. Mine was good. The fries were a little too salty but that may be the case because I had 'NO BEV'! My bad. I was jealous because their fried chicken looked SO GOOD! Mouth watering, savoring with sauce and spices, and 'finger-licking-good'. I'll update this when I have it. I'm sure it'll be delicioso! The donuts were spectacular as usual. I got a half dozen for my family back home (see the pictures below). My younger daughter exclaimed that "it was the best donut she's ever had". I believe her because it looked good. Guess which one it was.- - - - -
google avatar

Francesco R.

Yelp
Taste is probably 3.5 stars. Went because the family has never had them. Lose half a star for $27 a dozen and when the consensus of 5 people was, ok, but not great, and certainly not worth the price or hype.

Yelp
Quick day trip to Philly from DC resulted in stopping over at Federal Donuts for donuts to go. I was in an out of the store quick. The donuts held up the drive home and the next day. The flavors of these donuts were spot on. Not too cakey or overly sweet, just right. Definitely recommend federal donuts if you're in a mood for a donut or something sweet. I've found some donuts in DC to be too heavy or cakey and federal donuts has won me over.
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
There's something about the donuts in this place that's perfect. It's not the most fancy place in the world, it doesn't have the most interesting or unique flavors, but it works in its simplicity. The best donuts here are the simple ones. Don't overthink it, just get a nice basic donut, and you will be happy.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
I had Korean fried chicken and the cinnamon sugar donut. So yummy. But I accidently flicked some of the chili garlic sauce in my right eye when I was tearing up my chicken. That stinged so bad. But everything tasted delicious.
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
I rarely use the word epic to describe food, especially the kind that goes in a box and comes back to your house. But getting a half dozen fancy donuts and opening them up on your kitchen counter, is a pretty epic brunch moment, especially for a Thursday when you are nine months pregnant. Loved the health and safety precautions, including plexi-glass shields and masks and an air purifier filter running. Also really appreciate that Federal Donuts contingent continues to create donuts and churn them out for us to eat, whether it's celebratory or pandemic-stress-eating or just a Thursday when you want something more than eggs and veggies for breakfast (ok, second breakfast).

Chuck T.

Yelp
This place lived up to the hype, it was delicious! I especially loved the cherry one with crumble on top

Yelp
If you love donuts, no doubt you've heard of Federal Donuts. It's the most popular donut in Philadelphia and often finds itself on every type of donut list, local and national. It's so popular that they now have several locations throughout the city. This location is in Poplar and near the Edgar Allen Poe house. It has a fun 1970s feel to it with umbrella tables in front and a diner feel inside. It almost feels like a Sonic rather than a donut shop. They sell donuts (obviously). They have classic ones and more fancy ones like S'mores. I always go with the old fashioned chocolate donut for $2.75. If you stop in for lunch, they make a good fried chicken. If you pride yourself in donuts, head over to Federal Donuts!

Yelp
Who knew fried chicken and donuts are a thing? My sister inlaw has been raving about this place forever. Her and her gf's actually plan trips to eat here. It was good and I am lucky to have tried it but I don't see myself craving to return. I tried every flavor of chicken. They were all tastey. My favorite was the soy garlic. Each chicken order is served with a plain donut. Shockingly, the donut actually complimented the fried chicken. Yeah, I know, I thought a bite of a donught while eating chicken would be difficult to swallow together but it all went down smooth and tastey. I tried several of the dessert donuts: strawberry lavender, pastelito, crumb cake, irish potato and triple chocolate. They were all yummy and the triple chocolate was my favorite but I honestly don't see what all the hype is about... they're donuts. I gave 5 stars because everything was delicious and the staff was very accommodating and patient.

Yelp
Get the hot and fresh donuts! They won't disappoint, slightly warm and made fresh. These were more cake based and yummy. Coffee was eh, I got the draft latte and it had a ton of foam and by the time it settled the cup was only half full. The staff was super friendly and understood and topped it off when I brought it up. This location has limited seating outdoors, no indoor seating. Expect a 5 min wait for the hot and fresh donuts. I would definitely recommend you stop in and get a donut!

Yelp
Some of the best and most popular donuts in Philly! You can't go wrong with either the freshly dipped sugar ones or the specialty flavored ones. I live closer to the Sansom Street location but I prefer this Nolibs one (when I'm already in the car) because there is a generous amount of parking and the specialty donuts do not run out as fast. I've gone to the Sansom Street store towards the end of the day several times only to find out that there were out of the specialty donuts for the day :( Haven't explored the chicken options yet, but I'm sure I will since the donuts just keep bringing me back. The coffee is average at best.
