Seattle’s 12 Best Farmers Markets to Discover This Fall | Eater

"Though it’s a small market set up in a shopping center parking lot, this scrappy little seasonal Saturday shindig has a cool collection of committed vendors. Stop by the vintage truck for coffee from Food Forest Farms Coffee Roasters before browsing through the handmade soaps and oils, as well as the prepared foods that reflect the town’s diversity: Hawaiian shave ice, goat curry, and Mexican esquites corn." - Vox Creative

The music was WAY too loud, causing my PTSD to surface. Listen, Federal Way, you have a lot of veterans in your community, have a heart, I had to leave, it was WAY too much for me to handle. I was shuddering and shaking when I got back in my wife's vehicle. However, that said, to my surprise, there were REAL farmers there, or should I say food from REAL farms not bought at Freds and being resold. I'll try going there again, maybe the city council will respect others and will put a limit on the amount of noise one can generate at public events.

The vibe was great people were very friendly. The food that I ate was good, the fruits and vegetables looked wonderful!

Enjoyed the many vegetables and fruits. Found a wonderful local honey supplier and a place that sharpens knives, scissors, and gardening equipment. Some food trucks and dessert vendors along with an assortment of arts and crafts.

Small but great. I go every Saturday. There are three rows of booths. Check out K&L Garden Statues. Cool stuff, reasonably priced and always adding new pieces. I have bought 8 pieces from them. They take special requests and special orders. The honey and beeswax booth is neat. The rock guy has good prices on rocks and jewelry.

Woman at the crystals stand in 2024 insinuated I had a poor relationship with somebody who was standing right next to me… How classless and completely inaccurate! Preying on random people with false assumptions to try to sell you something bogus. Hope they’re not back this year. 😡

I really enjoy this farmer's market. Great way to spend Saturday mornings. Vegetables, Fruits, plants, handcrafts, flea market finds, food venders, live music, and good people are all available. Lots of free parking and free to enter. See you there.

I bought some produce, visited with the folks from FWSD's FRED bus and bought BBQ from K C Deez food truck. A successful trip! I go almost every week. Today, we got blueberries, cherry tomatoes, peppers and 3-d printed tiny toys. (Photo is from a few weeks ago when I got my yip yip!

Yelp
I can get farm fresh fruits and vegetables, supporting small farms such as Amador farms! Best quality produce. I got a huge head of red leaf lettuce I ended up splitting it into half to share with family and it was so reasonably priced! I've gotten fresh local honey from Sidhu farms to help with my seasonal allergies. Fresh flowers, to brighten my day. This past weekend they had shred trucks and passed out two cloth face masks for free. And the Ruca Mexican food truck has superb food that is quality and delicious. Owner always wants feedback and if something is wrong to let them know so they can fix whatever it is. They call you by name and make you feel like a friend. Love the kettle corn, who doesn't right (: I love having our own farmers market in Federal Way. Of course face masks are required and social distancing is required. Everybody seems to abide well and haven't experienced any negativity.

Yelp
I only came on the last day of the market. It's fairly small, with only 2 vendors with fresh produces, one with baked goods, and one selling fresh cheese. I was told the market is bigger in the summer time. There was a Halloween Costume contest as it so happened to be Halloween that day. Cute!

Yelp
Federal Way Farmer's Market is the place to be on Saturdays! Great music, different events & the vendors there are AMAZING! There's SO. MUCH. MORE. than just Farmers! There's always GREAT FOOD and everybody is SO NICE! If you're looking for something fun to do on Saturdays, go to the Farmer's Market!

Yelp
This is a pretty small farmers market in The Commons parking lot near where the Sears was. This market gets even smaller quickly when you realize that a lot of the stands have the exact same products, potentially at different prices. Flowers, arts & crafts, produce; this is basically what you'd expect from a market. They also had 3 or 4 food trucks and some sort of gourmet coffee retailer. This is definitely not good enough to travel for, but if you're going to be in the area you have a fairly good chance of finding something good here.

Yelp
I really like this market but sometimes the selection varies. Really hoping they get more vendors soon since this is a great location and I love buying direct from farmers.

Yelp
The Federal Way Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 9am-3pm. Located at the Commons Mall parking lot. Friendly vendors with a wide variety of produce, baked goods & crafts. Food trucks & music help create a fun environment. Love the fresh flowers!

Yelp
Small but decent farmer's market in the middle of town. If it's a warm day, I advise coming to the Market early otherwise it gets HOT due to all the concrete and people packed into one area. This Farmer's Market is in the front lot of The Commons Shopping area at the Sears parking lot. You'll see all the white canopies. You can't miss it! I love how this Market has such a wide array of vendors. You'll see 3 - 5 flower vendors. There's also an abundance of vendors selling produce. Nowadays that seems to be far and few between. There are quite a few craft vendors as well as food vendors. I enjoy walking around and checking things out. It's a worth a visit if you happen to be in the area on a Saturday anywhere from 9am to 3pm.

Yelp
During covid they have a mask required sign and no mask no service signs up, and a designated entrance and exit! But unfortunately it isn't enforced! Lots of people walking in exit, and counted over ten people refusing to wear masks this morning at Noon. And the wholly dollar rules and vendors do business with them. Not going to return to this disaster!

Yelp
Love this market. The regular vendors bring amazing vegetables from all over Washington State. If you don't mind spending a little more for vegetables that look and taste much better than a major grocery store, come here! Try to come earlier in the day if you want the best stuff. If you get there too late, they will sometimes run out of the more popular items (like kale). However, some vendors will actually set aside certain veggies ahead of time if you exchange numbers with them. It's a really cool community here and you get to learn a lot more about the food you're purchasing since you're buying straight from the source. Aside from food, there are a few local businesses and services that set up shop here. A great way to learn about your city if you don't get put much!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I had a great time at the farmer's market! We brought our puppy along because they are very dog friendly :) The market took about half of a full parking lot, so it was fairly small, but nevertheless still had many, unique things to offer! They had beautiful bouquets of flowers, handmade soaps, organic dog treats, handmade dog bandanas, jewelry, handcrafted wood, and more! The only thing I would complain about is their "Mexican" corn... Definitely not authentic lol I'll remember to get a hot dog next time.

Yelp
Very, very disappointed. Bought flowers, beautiful, beautiful flowers today at the Federal Way Farmers Market. They were all wrapped up in pretty paper. I came home and was putting them in a big Vase. 3 of the Big flowers around the edge were broken about 2-3 inches from the top, just being held up by the paper it was wrapped up tight with. By the time I "carefully" transferred them to the Vase I had a pile of flower petals all over the table. This bouquet cost $ 20.00. It was a fantastic price but not so much if I'd known it was only going to last me the ride home and the transfer to a Vase. Slight update: The flowers that didnt fall apart are beautiful. I just have to go purchase a few more " fresh flowers " to fill in the ones that were broken or lost their petals
