Hello beer lovers :) I love my Oakland Ale Trail Passport (ask the bar guy for one) cause it gives me a chance to explore all the wonderful breweries in Oakland (about 8 so far). This place had such a lovely feel to it. Great bar with an awesome bartender who was super cool to make us try the beers we wanted and those we didn't even ask for - that's a wow factor. Super friendly service and amazing beers - please try them all :) They have cute snacks for 3-4$ such as chips or nuts, bars etc. Great additions. You can also bring your own food. How cool is that? Did I mention amazing prices as low as $4 for 10 ounces of beer? Are you on your way there yet??? Don't miss out their Sunday Jazz hours :-) I know I will be back!

Google
Awesome brewery and love the atmosphere. There are bathrooms, parking, and small snacks you can munch on. We love this place and have a good time hanging out with friends here. Even better is the fact they have a table of board games to enjoy!

Google
Got a couple of flights of beer and the variety was really good. Truly enjoyed the game of scrabble and relaxing atmosphere. Only downside is no food available, though that’s typical in the area.

Google
Location is great although I did hear and saw some cars around there got broken into while walking around the area. So hide valuables. Actual brewery was great! They have containers outside you can sit in! Beer was ok. The mango one was a bit of a weird mix of beer and orange juice!

Google
The micro Brew, tap room revolution has really taken off. And Federation is one of the good ones. Hidden in the streets of Oakland, it was easy to find with the crowd of people that were there. Casual place, good beer, the food trucks smelled awesome (didn't get a chance to eat), and there was an awesome band. What a treat! Definite stop if you're in the area! Oh! And they donate a portion of their profits back to charity, how awesome is that!

Awesome selection of brews from hazy citrus to creamy stout (bomba nights and low boy are must have). Super friendly staff. Good vibes all around.

Google
Newest brewery to hit JLS area. FB is limited to twenty seats including the counter which seats eight. Feels smaller than others, but it has that Urban warehouse feel that makes it a thing for the hip crowd. Currently there are seven draft to choose from with ABV of 4.9-7.1%. Prices are 10oz/$4, 16oz/$6 and aged barrel at 6oz/$10. Hip-hop music and old school pinball machine to entertain yourself. For those that was on invite list, I got them a 16oz of whatever they like. I was knocked out cold on my seventh beer "In the Weeds IPA", and had to be help into Uber car. I can't remember much from grand opening night, but I sure had a blast.

Google
I came here the other night and sampled a few beers which were decent. The spot definitely has a home brew vibe, and I could tell by the discussions being had at the bar that people who came here were big beer nerds, which is great. While I wasn’t impressed with the beers I had, I’m all up for stopping by again for another round.

Yelp
I probably didn't get the full experience of Federation Brewing since I went during covid times, but I can comment on what I did. I wasn't sure where to park as it was my first time in the area - I guess people just park at any of the nearby slots - if those are taken, there are spots people park in front of closed warehouse doors (not sure what they're actually called). They have a couple of red shipping containers that can be spotted on the street. One was used for seating and the other was occupied by the musicians who were playing live music. Live performances are always fun to watch and they can attract passerbys as well as set the tone for ambience. Having these are a great to have for outdoor seating as they protect guests from potential rainfall-- wish they had more as the rest of the seating is just outside w/ no overhead tarp (which is fine in really nice weather! but wonder what they'd do during the rainy and windy days. Another thing I thought was clever was how they had the little QR codes customers could scan to see their menu through their phones vs. having to handle a laminated menu tons of other people touch. Read about what interests you and be prepared to order up front inside. I appreciate the pack of pretzels that was handed to me - nice little touch as snacking while drinking beer is always nice. Not sure if the food vendor who was posted outside is there all the time or just on special occasions they have someone come over, but their food looked good and people were eating at their tables. Tables - they're long (some short for pairs or whatnot), but I would say this place is good for groups, solo explorers, and duos. Hope they can suffice more space w/ more seating and protection from elements in colder and wetter months. If I didn't know anyone there, I wouldn't have had any seating open. Also thought the benches weren't heavy enough where if the person at the other end got up and you were at the other end, it would tip over to the weighted side, lol. Drinks - there were a few I wanted to try - one being a michelada, but I ended up w/ the look at this cute dog!

Yelp
This is a fantastic little brewery hidden just a few blocks away from the Jack London waterfront. With rotating house beers on tap + food pop ups, this stylish little parklet is the perfect place to enjoy a brew on a sunny day or even in a sprinkle. With seating inside the brewery, directly under the sun or within retrofitted shipping containers you've got some options here. The staff was great and the beer wasn't too shabby either! We enjoyed trying a few half-pours before we went along our way. There are lots of great places in this neighborhood, but make sure to add Federation to your list!

John F.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting this brewery but I have followed it and Hella Coastal beer for about a year. I was excited to try the different beers on tap so I went the flight which had several beers of my choice to sample. This is great if you don't know what you might like and it's the perfect size to het a true sense of something that you might love or wouldn't order again. The staff is very friendly and helpful with the vast selection of beers. They also have merchandise and cans if you want to take some home.

Yelp
First discovered this place when they hosted a free comedy event (please tip). The place was packed, too packed, so make sure you come early. Quality/Quantity - Good beer, counter service. No food, BYO food. Beer to-go - 4 packs, growlers, etc. Atmosphere - Small local business, brewery. Available to "host" events here, check their website. Indoor, sometimes outdoor seating, if set up. The Outdoors is dog friendly. BYO food - You are welcome to bring your own food here. Sometimes they have food trucks. Cool "street art." Street parking, good luck. Lots of different promotions - See website. Open 7 days a week from noon till see Yelp or website. Kids NOT suggested, especially since COVID when they took away all the "games/toys." Shared bathrooms with the building next door, don't forget the key. Service - Good, counter service. Price - Reasonable, need to come for and try out their HH and golden hour. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success. Glad I discovered you.

Regina A.

Yelp
First time here and it was a pleasant experience! There was live comedy which was super cool, I think that's a thing every first Friday. I got a 10oz of their Golden Ale and then tried their Michelada which was really good! There is plenty of outdoor seating and there was a food pop up there in case you were hungry. However, they did pack up around 9pm, so we had to go somewhere else for food, but Jack London Square is just around the corner. There are bathrooms, you just need to get the key hanging on the wall by the exit door leading to the building next door. Overall I really liked the vibe there and would definitely come back again!

Yelp
Funny story - I had a can of their Gingerator 5000 beer in the morning and was looking at a brewery to go to in Oakland in the afternoon. Saw that Federation Brewing was nearby and off we go! They have a really cute outdoor seating area with containers and "grass." Indoor seating was also spacious and there was one pinball machine to play with. Two bartenders were working and got a set up with Flights so we could try a couple of their beers. We had a few of their hazy's and their regular IPAs which were tasty. Also had their oatmeal stout and their raspberry stout which were OK - not my favorites. Oatmeal stout was a little bitter. Gingerator 5000 was also available on draft and the Delicious Monet sour that we had was really good. Our favorite so ended up taking that home. They don't mind if you bring food from around the area. I went to Dragon Spring next-door and got some popcorn chicken and garlic noodles. There was also a pop-up pizza doing woodfired pizzas but they were sold out for the day when we came. Come in November because they have a flight and Crowler special for only $19 (The flight itself is $15 so you're basically getting a big can of beer for only four dollars!!!)

K B.

Yelp
The best Michelada ever is made here, served with Into the Woods West Coast IPA and Federation's own michelada recipe. My glass is lined with Tajin and then christened with lime, and it's so very tasty. First Michelada with an IPA and it's amazing.

Yelp
Jack London Square area-ish Street parking I didn't even connect Star Trek to Federation Brewing. Would that deter Star Wars fans? I don't know why that's even a question whether they're for Star Wars or Star Trek but I hear it all the time. That's a whole other topic, really. The brewery has some seating inside and ample outdoor seating. They have board games, a Star Trek pinball machine that you pay through your phone, a water station on the left of the counter where you order.. I didn't see anything available other than their beers.. no sodas or kombucha.. I didn't ask either so-- there's that, too. Merch for sale. They host trivia nights, there's comedy on first Fridays.. and other themed events. You can find the goings on on their website.

Yelp
Great Michelada's and good service. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Yelp
Beam me up Scotty when it comes to Oakland's very own Federation Brewing! Just one of many burgeoning breweries that seem to be popping up along the district that makes up the Jack London Waterfront area, what makes Federation Brewing stand out from all the rest is the ode to everything Star Trek, from the name to the decor, it all fits in with a bigger theme that only a higher power somewhere in the milky way seems to know. I came to Federation Brewing after a nice lunch at a nearby restaurant and wine tasting at a local wine tasting room nearby in the Waterfront district and my friend and I weren't ready to let the good times end. So my friend suggested Federation Brewing a local brewery that had its own beer tasting room that he had wanted to try for quite some time. On a Saturday afternoon, they weren't too busy when we arrived as there were plenty of tables and seating available. When one looks over their menu, you'll notice they split their beer types into three categories, their core beers such as ryes, ales, stouts and IPAs; their sour beers; and their limited beers. They also serve traditional bar snacks like nuts, chips and beef jerky for those needing a quick bite to go with their ale. After looking over their menu, I decided to go with a small glass of their Scenic Route Imperial Grapefruit Sour, which was a hazy yellow with a grapefruit and apricot nose. It was the perfect sour as it had a slightly bitter grapefruit rind finish. At five dollars for a small glass was the perfect price point for a visitor like me who just wanted to sample to see what their beer had to offer, and I must admit I liked what I tried. Federation Brewing is the perfect place to watch sporting events on their televisions or just sit down in their outdoor patio or their open-air tasting room and enjoy a pint or two. Only after we ordered, did I notice they have a locker area where, if you put your phone away for your duration of your stay at Federation Brewing, will they offer you a discount on your purchase. Since their beer is served directly from the tap, like most local breweries, at Federation they also sell their beers in a growler or crowler depending on your beer needs. Life in the Jack London Waterfront District sipping on a cold brew taking in the warm sunshine, does it get any better than that? Perhaps one day in the final frontier it will.

Yelp
Props for staying safe during COVID-19. - Counter service at the front door - No tastings available - Pay with card - Masks required It's fun finding new places in Jack London Square. All the more to hope we can come back and enjoy this post-pandemic.

Katherine L.

Yelp
what a lovely brewery in the outskirts of Jack London Square!! Friendly staff and loved the options they have (sour, IPA, blonde, stout, etc.). I love their Beertails too, seems simple but honestly wish more places would offer it!! The bartender (forgot his name, sorry!) was super friendly and allowed my friend and I to sample a few before we commit to a drink. We ended up choosing a beertail even though we loved the sour, and he gave us a small glass on the house!! THANK YOU :) The outside seating arrangement can accommodate a few large parties, spread out across the sidewalk. Shaded options as well as options for those who wants to soak in the sun. Can't complain! :)

Yelp
So this review is strictly based on a Covid Era outing. So all outdoors with changing policies. It will not correlate with other past pre-Covid reviews, nor may it relate with future reviews if things ever 'open' back up. So their outdoor area is pretty dope. Half the street is blocked off, so there is ample room. They took some old shipping/cargo containers and cut openings on the sides, to provide "some" sheltered seating. I gotta give them props on the creativity/repurposing. The beers tried are above average good. Tried 3, 2 were top notch, while 1 was a miss for me. Their West Coast IPA and their Pale Ales were both true to style and more importantly conducive to my taste buds. I'm sure I'll purchase these for future outings. The Pils was off to me. It had clove-y notes, so it tasted like a Hefeweizen 'lite' to me. Weird for a Pils. Now their newish set up is where it fell for me. First of all there is very minimal interaction. The servers are now basically just beer runners. Upon snagging a table, you have to log into their system via the QR Code. Fine, we're all used to that by now. But here you do ALL of your ordering through this. So you must enter your credit/debit number/info in, your table number. Then as you place your orders (if you do everything correctly), the beers will eventually come to your tables. From there everything is cool. It's just a bit of a run-around to get started. I also noticed that while doing a couple of rounds, as you order, you can't really see a tally of your order. Unless you 'check out' of your cart. At least it wasn't easy to find. They also now 'require' you to eat something on your out here. It's a new rule supposedly as they don't want people to 'just' drink. Kinda reminded me of Utah drinking laws back in the day. LOL. Now I'm not super opposed to this at all...IF the food was decent. But here you have to a buy at least one $5 voucher for each person drinking. You redeem it next door at a neighboring business, where they'll give you a buzzer to eventually pick it up. Now I know they don't have any control about the food, but I felt hostage about having to order something b/c 1) didn't really want anything to begin with because we just had lunch; then 2) felt obligated into eating it cuz I hate wasting plus we paid for it. And not to get into details about the food because another business made it, but I'll leave it as 'it wasn't that good'. I'm still gonna give them a shot when things go back to normal, as I do like their beers. I'd just be real hesitant in going through this format for a simple beer tasting.

Danielle M.

Yelp
I'm not the biggest beer fan (I'm much more into wine), but when my friends and I trekked here after dinner at Jack London, this place gave me a bit more hope about it! We ordered a raspberry beer (can't remember the name of this one), a michelada, and an Atras. My favorite? The Atras! It was sweet and so good! I'm a huge fan of pineapple, so it helped that the flavor in the beer was that. The place does a good job with COVID measures, and the outdoor seating area is really cute (plenty of space and warm lighting around. Service here was quick too. I'd definitely come back for the Atras!

Kari B.

Yelp
Great beer, cool space, awesome owners and employees and premium location in Oakland's Jack London Square! Federation also is very philanthropic and collaborates with many other local breweries. What a cool business!

Rachel C.

Yelp
This is such a dope spot to chill and enjoy a beer or two. I came here with my boyf and we were both intrigued with how this place looked inside. It isn't the biggest spot but there is so much to look at inside, you'll want to come in. I love the vibes and style of this place! They have a ton of games you and your friends can play with while you're enjoying your beer. They offer beer flights so that's a win for me! It's a good walking distance from the waterfront/ ferry, too! So why not grab a beer before or after.

Patty P.

Yelp
I have been going here for as long as Federation has been open! Love the staff and the beer is amazing! They also collaborate with other local brewers like Hella Coastal and non-profits like the Pink Boots Society. They often have delicious pop-up food vendors and fun events!

Vicki L.

Yelp
Large beer menu. You can bring in wine from next door if you're not a beer drinker. Great burger stand option. Dog friendly

Casey S.

Yelp
During my most recent trip to Grocery Outlet, I wanted to support a local brewery, so I got a four pack of Federation Brewing's Behind You! Blond Ale. Described as "crisp and clean" and "pairs with mistakes," I'm inclined to agree. It goes down easy with only a 5% ABV, and it is the perfect way to cool down during these hot summer days. It's not the richest beer out there, but that's not a dealbreaker.

Yvonne C.

Yelp
We had been eyeing Federation Brewing for a while to complete our Oakland Ale Trail. When we saw a Groupon pop up, it was the perfect excuse to trek out. The space itself isn't very big. There are some picnic tables inside to sit and hang out at with some friends, or you can sit at the bar and chat with the bartender. With the Groupons, we each got a flight and a souvenir glass. You write the beers that you want on the flight board, and someone will fill 'er up. There's a variety of beer to choose from -- everything from blondes to IPAs to stouts. (If you're up to date with my beer reviews, IPAs and I do not get along.) Even so, we chose a few to sample on the flight because I'm still hopeful I'll find an IPA that I can get along with. (Alas, this was not the time for that to happen.) My favorites out of the 8 beers we tried were Behind You (blonde ale) and After Hours (chocolate stout).

Yelp
We went on our own personal "beer crawl" through Oakland and stumbled across this spot. Federation Brewing easily won our hearts. We went to 11 different breweries, and this by far was the best. The plum sour in particular was to die for. The beer pourer (I wish I got her name, but she had glasses and brown hair, working the evening shift on Tuesday, March 22nd) was so friendly and genuinely cares for the business (kinda hard to come by these days), she deserves a raise. And $1 pints for industry night? Count us in. We wish we lived in the area, the beer here was excellent and we can't wait to return.

Audrey S.

Yelp
Federation is a solid choice any day of the month, but it's a great choice the first Saturday of the month! If you haven't already, come by for their free comedy night. Something free? In Oakland?! Gasp! And the comedians are actually all very talented and funny. Just get there early cause it gets so crowded there are people out the door (and you can't have beer out the door, womp). Can't make it on the first Saturday? Crowds aren't your thing? Still worth a visit. The beer isn't the best in Oakland, but it's goodish and worth trying. Pricing is pretty standard at $6-7 or so a pint. The setting is also fun. Feels ever so slightly punk but still very accessible to a mainstream audience. And they have board games and are dog-friendly! Service has always been friendly in my experience and they have some neat little touches. Take for example the lock boxes where you can lock your phone away, give the bartender the key, and get a discount on your first beer. Love that they're incentivizing people to be present and enjoy their beer and their friends!

B H.

Yelp
Cool artwork. Some merch. Stickers. Food vendor there. I liked hoe they used, what appeared to be storage containers for outside dining. Beer was just okay. Tasted, not sure, but dirty maybe? It's worth a try.

Andrew C.

Yelp
There's a tasting space with a bar and several tables with that industrial exposed brick look that's open to 3rd St with production facilities behind. A cool mural of a beer keg robot adorns the wall (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/federation-brewing-oakland?select=7lKJ8bQKOng5hvDybRATng) and a Pinball machine when you get buzzed enough (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/federation-brewing-oakland?select=1aa-clEpltM4FYiLpFyUcw). I've been seeing Federation brews (mostly the Blonde Ale and IPA) at more spots around town and came to visit when I saw them on the Oakland Ale Trail Passport. They make a wide range of beers from IPA to Saison to Oatmeal Stout (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/federation-brewing-oakland?select=6DSOMwRTmZvzypM-RhyzOA) and a couple of barrel aged sours that are only available at the tasting room (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/federation-brewing-oakland?select=L7DJAakSs9vGnLX4hpO4PQ). I'm a big fan of the Stout which is available both on a regular tap and a nitro tap. I recommend the Nitro, but try them both and decide for yourself!

Yelp
Larry and the rest of the Federation Brewing Team are great to work with! If you are looking to find great beers and solid people, this is the place to go. I hope your brewery continues to succeed and I look forward to working more with your team. Cheers to the Federation Brewing Team!!!

Theodore H.

Yelp
Great staff, location and most important beer. Cool location and really enjoyed the In The Weeds. Definitely worthy of a return trip to taste more.

Matthew G.

Yelp
cool brewery on the outskirts of jack london. far away enough to get away from the crowds but close enough to the action. a good selection of beers. most of the seating is outdoor so come with some nice weather. its walking distance to other breweries so a lot of people come for a pub crawl. when i was there they had a taco guy for food. bathrooms are clean. overall fun atmosphere. bring friends and furry animals to hang out and have a good time.

Chante S.

Yelp
I love love love this place. Before Covid hit, this was my after work go to!! I worked right around the corner so it was perfect. The ambiance is pretty cool. I love that they offer games here. The beer offerings are pretty dope. The flight is worth it since u get to try a few.

Jon S.

Yelp
After another successful Eat Real Fest, we walked around the Jack London Square area and found this really cool brewery. The space was fairly open so we sauntered up to the bar, chatted with the brewtender, and sampled a few before ordering the Grapefruit Sour and a Chocolate Stout. ++Grapefruit Sour was super refreshing, crisp, & more tart than sour 4.5/5 ++Chocolate Stout was smooth, rich without being too BIG, & finished slightly dry (which I really enjoyed) 3.75/5 We only had time for one small pour each, but we'll be back for sure. Interested to see what they release throughout the year. Salud!

Suria S.

Yelp
I don't drink beer, no thanks. Yet this place had such a cute outside sitting area and we needed to kill time before our movie. So thankfully...this place had these "beer-tails", a play on cocktails...and it was actually really cool, there was a whole process watching the guy make my lemon drop. It was a sour beer, but they put these delicious sugar on the rim, they made the drink a pretty color, in their cool glasses and it was so good and only a $1 more than their regular beers. I actually had a hard time deciding which one I should get cause they had a cool selection of concoctions and ideas. I wish I took a pic of the menu cause I can't find one here but when I go back I'll make sure to do that...oh yeah, I'd definitely be down to go back the next time I'm hanging out at jack london square.

Paige D.

Yelp
Came here twice the past week and both times were good and casual. The place doesn't have a ton of seating, and it's rather small in comparison to local beer gardens. There are usually 2 or 3 servers behind the bar that can help with beer, bar seating is limited maybe 5 or so seats. The beer menu is pretty big, prices ~$8 and up! They've had a food truck outside both times, and people are welcome to bring in their own food. Many people brought in pizza to watch the NBA Finals the other night. Overall, casual but fun vibes. The location is very close to Jack London Square so I would recommend exploring around the area and making a stop at Federation.

Joshua P.

Yelp
During a visit to our beloved home state of California, my wife and I were deeply saddened to see a local favorite drink place had closed. In our mourning, we stumbled upon Federation Brewing in Oakland like an oasis in the distance. The beer-- outstanding, top notch, tasty, 11 out of 10 for the full selection but especially the IPAs. And on a cold April evening, they had amazing heaters on their patio and wind shelters to protect us, along with excellent hot teas available. Finally, their COVID precautions are amazing, with digital ordering to your table and fast, polite, and fully-masked service. Thank you to Federation Brewing! We'll cherish the visit and keep your stickers close by.

Nicole G.

Yelp
This brewery has a hipster vibe with the music, games and local art. There are several choices of beers to choose from.

Christina I.

Yelp
Small brewery close to jack Landon square. Very casual with some beer garden style tables or you can sit at the bar. They offer various board games and It's pretty much like a big garage where you can see all the brewing equipment. They had about 10 beers on tap and tried a flight (4 beers included). Really enjoyed their sour, blonde and red rye. They apparently also have comedy nights and show warrior games. Would definitely come back to try some of their other beers

Sonia G.

Yelp
Cool hipster spot! Fun games. Fewer selection of beer than I had anticipated but beer was good. People inside are chill and nice too. Definitely check out this brewery! There are only a few outside patio seats.

Emma W.

Yelp
What an awesome spot for day drinking (and I can only assume, night drinking as well). We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and were pleased to find a welcoming environment, friendly service, and board games to pass the time. I had the ceremony saison, which was tasty. I really liked the atmosphere, featuring a robot mural and large wooden middle finger. I will be back. Free parking around Jack London Square on Sundays.

Yelp
Federation Brewing recently opened to the public though it's been brewing for a few years. located just a few doors from Broadway on 3rd St .it's close to Beer Revolution and Jack London Square. not sure what's it's specialty, no flights offered. tastings revealed a deviation from the norm: ipas not hoppy, sours not absolutely, just a phase. (could be they use a longer brewing method on all their brews, to smooth out "flavors'). brews: low boy stout (6) -nitro, smooth like root beer, small bubbles -regular, crispier, tastes like beer twilight central sour stout -a hint of sour, didn't define entire drink -stoutness in the background wheat ipa (6) -hoppiness not noticed, 6ish abv. beer. -strong brew. samples given. beers not typical. hard to pigeonhole, qualtiy brews, personal taste whether u like or not. brew worth checking out. not as cheap as temescal. this is j.l. square after all. news on net: "The Scientists are marching because things are not normal( the natiion, 4/21/17 z.carpenter). -Trump administration threatens the integrity of scientific research and the citizens who depend on it. i.e. epa, climate change, n.h.i., n.a.s.a......

Sarah N.

Yelp
Nice little beer joint, solid location and good selection. Just a heads up, there are no gluten-free options.

Brian B.

Yelp
Great beer, friendly people, killer location. Not as posh as some of the other breweries that are opening in the area but solid. I mean this as a compliment...it felt like Oakland.

Yelp
We came here on a weekend night with friends to find a chill atmosphere and very friendly staff. They have different board games so we made sure to play one while we enjoyed our beers. My boyfriend had the red rye and I ordered the pale ale and we both really liked them! It was also interesting to see how they can their beers. For those of you following the Oakland Ale Trail, be sure to get a stamp at the bar!

Yelp
On the ever-ending quest to complete the Oakland Ale Trail, I was finally able to make it to Federation Brewing. Unfortunately they were often closed when we went, so I would recommend calling ahead even if the hours say they are open. The vibe of the place is very laid back and they have some great games to play while you're drinking your beer. Staff is kind and the beer is either hit or miss it seemed. While there, I tried: Lowboy: A great oatmeal stout that had coffee characteristics with just enough bitterness to keep it from being overly sweet. It could easily be a breakfast beer. Butternut Booyah: I felt like this was kind of the miss of my trip here. The butternut booyah brewed with 300 pounds of butternut squash is not the best in my opinion. The flavor, seemed slightly off. I think something about the mixture of the hops of beer with the butternut squash don't mix. Regardless, if you're in the area I would say stop by to try out the brewery. I've been told the IPA is good, but we all know how I feel about those. Score overall was for a wonderful vibe at the location, amazing staff, and some beers that were good.

Yelp
Nice big open door on a beautiful 75 degree Sunday afternoon...who wouldn't want to come in for a beer? Got the Low Boy Oatmeal Stout and man that drink was smooth. I sucked it right down. Okay, so I had just spend 3 hours at the Alameda Flea and I was parched. Hubby sucked back two hoppy beers (I don't keep track of hoppy beers...yuck LOL) and he loved them as well. Super friendly bartender. Definitely give this place a try....there's an amazing little sub-section of Jack London going on off Broadway these days, and this is just the latest.

Yelp
I stopped in here on a busy Saturday afternoon and the place was already pretty crowded. I got a couple of the Blonde beers and these were good for the $6 price point. In addition to this, the bartenders were super friendly as were most of the people at the bar. We wanted to stay longer, but had to run out to get dinner at Jack London after. I definitely come back as the vibe here is super laidback and I'm looking forward to trying some of their other beers.

Yelp
Found this spot thanks to Groupon. It's got a cool industrial feel to it and an awesome mural. Got a sampler of all the beers that weren't dark and not the kolsh. I kinda wished they had more things to try. Some of the kegs had gone out and not all had been replaced with new things yet. I took home a crowler of the butternut squash ale. It was one of my tasters and I was afraid it was going to be really thick or too sweet, but it was actually delicious! There was also a taco stand outside that was making me hungry af since the smell was wafting in the whole time. They have a mug club you can join for $150/yr where you get a 20oz cup and can do refills for a 16oz price. I wish I lived closer - I would totally join!

Yelp
Watching the brewery get built over the past year has been awesome. My wife and I happened to walk by on their opening day after we were away traveling for over a week. They're having a soft opening for the next two weeks with their grand opening on March 25th, 2017. The IPA is amazing. Great flavor. Simple but exciting. The brewer, Aram, is knowledgable and fun to hang out with. Come by. Support your local brewery. Keep up the amazing work, guys.

Yelp
Great brewery, I went out on an excursion with a friend I met at this brewery and we followed a map around to other breweries. It was a pretty cool adventure.

Yelp
Solid new tap room & brewery near Jack London Square. We stopped by for a quick pour on our way out of the area and I'm glad we were able to sample their wares. The friendly beertender allowed me to sample several items before finally deciding on their chocolate stout which was smooth, strong & delicious. I liked their overall space-- not overly large, but still cozy despite it's industrial setting. It looks like they have a mug club (which is currently limited to 25 members) and a solid rotating tap list which is a must these days.
