First time trying Hakka Chinese food and i had a good experience, servers was nice and quick bringing out the food. I heard this place was known for their shrimp pakoras which is deep fried so I had to order some also added the chili chicken and manchurian shrimp fried rice to my dinner. Everything was seasoned great and really adding the spice to it was awesome.

I’ve eaten here several times. Food quality is decent and consistent. It isn’t mind blowing, but you’ll enjoy the wide selection with something for everybody. Not everything is as pictured - for example, the deep fried crispy squid comes breaded but is not shown that way on the menu.

Food was very delicious. Little greasy, which is expected from Hakka Chinese Cuisine. And the service was super quick. Our three dishes were on our table in less than 5 minutes after placing the order! Overall wonderful experience!!

Ordered Singaporean with noodles and rice and shrimp and chicken but only got noodles. Where did the rice go? Shrimp was under cook for my taste. Lack of gravy within the dish and was really dry. Seeing many people visiting this place so thought to buy dinner for my wife but it will be first and last visit.

The Takeout Experience: One of the best things about the layout here is the dedicated takeout section. Unlike many restaurants where you have to squeeze past diners to get your food, Frederick’s has a separate order area. It’s efficient, organized, and makes the "to-go" process incredibly smooth, especially during the busy dinner rush. The Star of the Show: Chili Fish While their menu is extensive, we almost always find ourselves ordering the Chili Fish. It is consistently excellent: * Texture: The fish maintains a nice bite without being overly breaded. * Flavor: It has that perfect Hakka balance of spicy, savory, and slightly tangy notes. * Consistency: Whether it’s a Tuesday night or a frantic Friday, the flavor is exactly the same every single time. Final Verdict: Frederick’s remains a staple for a reason. The service in the takeout area is brisk, and the food travels surprisingly well, holding its heat and texture until you get home. It’s reliable, delicious, and easily some of the best Hakka in the area.

Oh my God I have to do a review of this restaurant this is before Google reviews was even a thing and I just found this memory on my Facebook feed 10 years ago that I went here and I’ve been here more than just 10 years ago I used to go to trade shows in Toronto and my friend who lives in Toronto we would go and have food here every time I came! Absolute fantastic food highly highly recommend this if you are in this area of Toronto in Scarborough definitely come to this restaurant the beef pakoras, the Singapore noodles and any other dish you would choose to have they will do it right!! This is Hakka Chinese Indian cuisine and I believe there might be bits of Malaysian in there if I’m not mistaken but I would highly recommend anyone to go here and eat! Service can be a little bit only because they’re so busy!! This Indian style Hakka Chinese restaurant is one of the pioneer in the field in Scarborough. The food quality wad decent but not as per the expectations. The items were not very flavourful and to a bit on salty side. Portion sizes were decent and same can be said about the price. The service was relatively quick but improvements are needed.

Amazing spicy food, Indian style Hakka noodles and Chinese dishes at its best. This has always been a go to place for us whenever we crave to eat something to satisfy the hunger and taste buds. This used to be reasonably priced restaurant, but not anymore. Yet, the taste is good, better than other similar places we have been to.
