Dry January Events With Mocktails and More Around D.C. | Eater DC

"A recently opened Petworth restaurant from catering company Farm to Feast at 821 Upshur Street NW is offering a mocktail-making class focused on crafting refreshing and inventive nonalcoholic drinks; the farm-to-table spot also serves seasonal food for students who work up an appetite during the over two hour long class. The session is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, January 19 (tickets $35 on Eventbrite)." - Emily Venezky

We love this place! My daughter and I had the brussel sprouts ( amazing!) , Upshur burger, short rib sliders with an amazing horseradish dip! The service was speedy and we really enjoyed the mocktails too. My favorite was the Kiddo 2.0 ( peach lemonade) My daughter liked the Provence Summer (with real lavender!). The servers were lovely, we had a great experience. We ended with a lemon meringue pie with caramel.

My family and I had the opportunity to dine at Fedwell recently, and have already been back twice. What a gem! Everything we ordered was superb. On our first visit I had the Upshur Burger. Cooked perfectly to order - juicy, tender and so flavorful with its elevated fixings, creamy cheddar, pickled onion, fresh lettuce, and luscious aioli - all served on a gorgeous glossy brioche bun. The sweet potato fries were also perfect - crispy on the outside, sweet and tender on the inside - just the right amount of salt. Perfect size portions for complete satisfaction - but too tasty to leave a single trace on the plate. The service was also on point, the atmosphere is stylish and super comfortable - music at the right volume to enjoy the vibe and still easily converse. It felt like we could take our time to relax and really enjoy the experience. We can’t wait to go back!

It's my fourth or fifth visit to this neighborhood spot, and everything has been consistently delicious! Fedwell successfully strikes a very unique tone... it is somehow both an inviting family friendly restaurant, but also the flavors and textures of fine dining. A worthy successor to Domku.

Cute spot, great Monday night deals on burgers. We happened to really have bad luck on service: never got napkins/silverware, slow drinks (15+ min) and food, food slightly cold, never got water refills or asked about a second drink or dessert. Hoping they can improve service, the concept is really great

I love this charming neighborhood restaurant! Great cocktail menu. We started with the short rib sliders, hummus and Brussels sprouts- my family devoured everything. For dinner I had the chicken piccata meatballs, the sauce is amazing (wish I could bottle it up for home!)

We were a party of 5 (not counting a toddler) and grabbed a table when the restaurant opened. The food was delicious (sweet potato fries!) and Brussels sprouts and the Hummus with Roasted Roots as starters with our drinks; Harissa Honey Salmon, the Upshur Burger and the Short Rib Sliders were all great. The kid’s charcuterie plate was ample and age-appropriate. Everything was well-prepared and the staff was very nice.

Had a lovely experience here. We went during HH and their apps were good. Amanda is GREAT, super thoughtful when asked her to make us a few cocktails not on the menu. It is also family friendly if you have children. Will be back!

We LOVE Fedwell and have made it a once-or-twice weekly date night. Food is amazing, and the staff is super friendly. Bartender Amanda makes incredible cocktails, even when I just ask her to surprise me with something she's working on. Monday night half-price burgers can't be beat and are absolutely worth the full price any day of the week. We don't have kids, but they seem to put a lot of effort into making it a good place for families with their little kids corner that has coloring and activities for kids. Perfect addition to the neighborhood!
