The 29 Best Restaurants in Salt Lake City, Utah

"Utahns don’t have to book a flight to New York to find a good Jewish deli. Feldman’s serves a variety of sandwiches piled high on flavorful bread and old-world specialties. Nestled up in the mouth of Parleys Canyon (the mountain road that takes you to Park City), the restaurant is worth the hike for its award-winning sandwiches, including pastrami, corned beef, Reubens, and sloppy joes. The menu also includes European fare such as pierogies, stuffed cabbage, chicken paprikash, kielbasa, brisket, and smoked whitefish salad." - Sarah Entwistle

Google
i’m sorry to say that Feldman‘s bagels has gone downhill so tragically it should be avoided completely. This used to be one of my favorite places! Yes, in the past the service could be kind of slow, but I’m happy to accept that for the quality of food that they were putting out. I really should’ve stopped trying after two consecutive visits.my bagels were so poorly prepared I had to resort to some serious adjusting once home. Unfortunately, I did not stop trying. My last attempt was the worst. See accompanying picture. I asked for, and paid for extra cream cheese. You will notice that there is no cream cheese on this bagel. The locks are so dried out that I’m not sure they’re safe to eat. The worst of their employees is the man that is there on Sunday mornings. He’s generally grumpy but particularly so if you make any requests for changes. Ignore all photos or reviews from before the last few months a change in staff has created an unfortunate downturn in both service and product.

Terrible customer service. Don’t go here. Ordered bunch of bagels online for people we were hosting. Went to pick them up Sunday morning at my pick up time and Feldmans was closed. I called and they said the baker was late and wouldn’t even be able to start baking the bagels until 30 min after my pick up time. He said he can cancel my order and give me a refund, which I agreed to, but he didn’t know how to refund on toast tab so had me email and reach out to someone else. We kept getting told we’d get refunded and almost a week has gone by, no refund. We’re disputing this with our credit card company. This is no way to handle customers. Needless to say, we’ll never be giving them our business again.

I stopped by Feldman’s Bagels recently. The food? No complaints there, the bagels were fresh, and the ingredients tasted high quality. That said, the prices are definitely on the high side, which might be fine if everything else matched that premium standard. But here’s the thing: you can tell a lot about how a business runs by checking the bathrooms. Unfortunately, Feldman’s really dropped the ball there. There was no hand soap, no paper towels, and the floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Even worse, there was dried feces on the outside of the toilet bowl and water-damaged drywall near the toilet. It honestly felt like a health code issue waiting to happen. Great food can only go so far. If you’re charging top dollar, the basics, like cleanliness and hygiene, should be a given. Hope they take this seriously and clean things up.

Google
GREAT coffee. Great bagel! I could have had a little more ‘toast’ in the ‘toasted’ but the cream cheese was cold (as it should be) and appropriately flavored (bacon, scallion, horseradish) which was delicious. Loved that the everything bagel seasoning was on BOTH SIDES of the bagel (as it should be!) but would have liked to have a little more salt in the seasoning. But that’s a preference thing. Great texture, good size- I left wanting more, which means I will crave this. And that’s a good thing!

Google
This location has gone down hill badly. The place is dirty all the time, went in to get a breakfast sandwich and watch the guy behind the counter build the sandwich on a dirty and gross cutting board. He never changed his gloves from touching ever surface they had in there and then grabbed my egg from the steamer. I asked for a refund and told them to stop making my food and they couldn’t give one without the help from the boss, who has to be called, this location needs some guidance from the owner or someone other than a cook.

Google
First time and I don't think I'll be back. The bagels tasted like they were made a few days ago and then sat out. My egg and cheese sandwich was "toasted" but the cheese wasn't even melted.

Google
Bagels are good, but they are small, which is fine. But $14 for a veggie sandwich on a small bagel is absurd. I didn’t realize until I after I paid that each additional veggie I chose was $0.95. Unfortunately wildly expensive for the volume of food.

Google
My husband went in this morning ordered 3 bagels toasted dark with cream cheese to go. Got in the vehicle and opened the bagels all three not toasted . Not happy a soda 3. Dollars really. A bunch of lazy people working and don’t give a crap to be there. Not going back.

Yelp
These are some of the best bagels outside of NYC. They are made fresh everyday. People who are calling them "stale" or "not very fresh" are probably used to eating the typical, inauthentic wonder bread bagels you find all over the US. These are the real deal, made authentically. Highly recommended (if you appreciate good bagels). Amazing to find this gem in northern Vermont

Yelp
The deeply unacceptable mediocrity of their bagel is rivaled only by their truly one star customer service. Its pretty hard to make a bagel this bad, and then it's served with a sneer and rude comments, 0/10 would not recommend

Yelp
it's bagels! I don't see anyone's problem with it. great texture, variety of flavors some of which are pretty unique and I havent seen elsewhere. the cream cheese is nice and smooth. it's all just right, great bagel flavor. generic muffins. it's good! they have maple bacon cream cheese for you goyim... enjoy!

Yelp
I gave it 1 star because the staff is rude and the bagels aren't very fresh. The sign in the window says be kind short staffed. I don't think being short staffed has anything to do with how slow they move and the rudeness .

Yelp
Never go to Feldmans at 1:45pm...where's the chicken? This may ruin chicken salad for me forever. Gross.

Yelp
I entered Feldman's this morning at 705am. It was obvious the two people working had a large order. No one said anything to those that came in with me. The employees have no sense of urgency. Slow moving - leaving the floor when a bell rings out back even though there is another employee out back. Nothing was said - not a "we will be right with you, we have a large order", not a "we need to make some more eggs so it may take some extra time." I had to ask after 15 minutes if my bagel was almost ready. The response I received was "we had to make more eggs. There were 12 orders ahead of you." When I finally did get my order - not a thank you, not a thanks for waiting, nothing. I'm done with this place and if you are smart, you won't go either. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Yelp
I've ordered from here three times and won't be ordering again. Every single order has had something missing or wrong. One order was missing 4 things and I asked for a refund for the things I didn't receive. The person that reached back out to me said that she would "look into it" and get back to me the next day. After three days I check back in and they said they are stilling looking into it and will check back the next day. Still nothing. Very unprofessional and not very good.

Heather F.

Yelp
I won't bother ordering from them anymore. Something is always missing and the help is quite rude. I placed a take-out order and did not get one of my sandwiches upon returning to get it the girl behind the counter was quite argumentative. You're better off going to Dunkin' Donuts.

Chauntel C.

Yelp
Feldmans is great, quick and (kinda) reasonable with prices, but I gotta say the bagels compared to their other locations are always hard as a rock.

Yelp
Good bagels...sandwiches. Cream cheese is really good, especially bacon horseradish...a little pricey...but solid.

Yelp
Was a disaster when they first opened, so we gave them some time to see if things improved. Went in again today and waited forever! The also messed up my bagel but putting egg on it when I didn't ask, and forgetting my tomatoes. Taste good enough, and the staff was nice, but bagel sandwiches shouldn't take that long to make. Awkward seating arrangement as well making it confusing when waiting for your order.

Danielle R.

Yelp
Bad business practices. I have several gift cards to Feldman's bagels, and when I went to use one they told me their system doesn't take them anymore. For my Dad's birthday of 2020 I bought him a gift card to Feldman's and he told me they won't let him use it either. That is stealing in my book. I was given their managers number, and when I finally got a response I was told I was given the wrong number and this person wasn't a manager there. Wondering how you are going to reimburse me for my gift cards?

Samuel B.

Yelp
Poor customer service. My bagel didn't come with capers. The bagel itself is incredibly small. And, the staff always toasts my bagel when I want it not toasted. Done with this overpriced breakfast!

Kevin B.

Yelp
Easily the best bagels around. The staff is pleasant And remembers my order which probably means I frequent too much lol. The bagels are fluffy and warm and the cream cheese is very good. Haven't tried the lunch items yet but plan to.

Ashley B.

Yelp
Delicious bagels and great service! A must try for everyone who is looking for a clean, nice place to eat. So many choices on the menu you will have to come back again...and again! You wont leave unhappy!

Robert C.

Yelp
Can't usually get very good bagels in Vermont, but Feldman's is an exception.
