I stopped by Feldman’s Bagels recently. The food? No complaints there, the bagels were fresh, and the ingredients tasted high quality. That said, the prices are definitely on the high side, which might be fine if everything else matched that premium standard.
But here’s the thing: you can tell a lot about how a business runs by checking the bathrooms. Unfortunately, Feldman’s really dropped the ball there. There was no hand soap, no paper towels, and the floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Even worse, there was dried feces on the outside of the toilet bowl and water-damaged drywall near the toilet. It honestly felt like a health code issue waiting to happen.
Great food can only go so far. If you’re charging top dollar, the basics, like cleanliness and hygiene, should be a given. Hope they take this seriously and clean things up.
