"Feldman’s—modeled on the classic Jewish deli one would expect to find in New York City—has landed and is thriving on the east side of Salt Lake City . The deli's hot half-pound sandwiches include multiple variations on the Reuben (sauerkraut or slaw, pastrami or turkey, corned beef and pastrami, etc.) as well as items like beef tongue, which are hard to find in Utah. At breakfast, order a plate of eggs and salami, try a bagel with a schmear or one of the sandwiches for lunch, and go for a bowl of matzo ball soup with some pierogis for dinner. If you know New York delis, the available-all-day dessert selection will make you happy: rugelach (rolled pastry filled with cinnamon and nuts) or blintzes with fruit compote, or maybe a nice slice of Black Forest cake? Feldman's also regularly offers live entertainment in the evenings."

"Utahns don’t have to book a flight to New York to find a good deli. Feldman’s serves a variety of sandwiches piled high on flavorful bread and old-world specialties. Nestled up in the mouth of Parleys Canyon (the mountain road that takes you to Park City), the restaurant is worth the hike for their award-winning sandwiches, including pastrami, corned beef, Reubens, and sloppy joes. The menu also includes European fare such as pierogies, stuffed cabbage, chicken paprikash, kielbasa, brisket, and smoked whitefish salad." - Sarah Entwistle

Finally, a good Jewish Deli in Utah! I've been craving a hot Pastrami and Matzo Ball Soup, and this place didn't disappoint. Excellent service too! Second time eating here and it was just as good as the first. The quality of the food at this restaurant is excellent. Fresh and well prepared. Even the Matzo Balls were cooked all the way thru, which can be hard to find at some places.

Google
Delicious. We arrived in the afternoon after lunch so there were only a few people inside. Very nice atmosphere. Husband ordered, not grilled, The Classics Pastrami sandwich and I ordered The Classics Corned Beef sandwich. Liked being able to have the "not grilled" option since the bread was very good and filled with plenty of tender meat. I was happy that I tried the Health Salad, vinegar not mayo slaw, because I thought it was the perfect combination of ingredients and vinaigrette. Two bagels were still available so we took one but would love to try a salt bagel sometime. (We need Feldman's in Ogden!)

Google
My most recent hyper-fixation. I’ve LOVED every sandwich I’ve tried on this menu, including the Rachel and Reuben Combos. YUM! The only downside is that the pickles are more cucumber than pickle. I can’t stand cucumbers, so I wasn’t a fan! If you love cucumbers, I’m sure you’ll love ‘em though. :)

Google
Love Feldman’s Deli! My favorite is the Grilled Reuben Combo - it’s SO good! Service is always great, food is always delicious, and I’ve never had issues for sit down or take away.

Google
Absolutely delicious sandwiches! Super filling and full of flavor. Very fresh and high quality. Lots of seating. Good vibes. Great service.

Google
Went during Hanukkah and got a delicious Sufganiyah (jelly doughnut), which is only sold during Hanukkah. The fries are in the running for the best fries my family has ever had. The portion sizes are huge!! The restaurant has a very unique artistic style. The service is wonderful, attentive, and caring. Highly recommend.

Google
Ordered a Reuben with pastrami and potato salad. I'm not sure if this is how real pastrami suppose to be or something but I had extremely large amounts of fat. I was chewing the sandwich so much my jaw was locking up. I was thinking if the pastrami is this bad maybe corned beef would be a better option. The bread was great. The dressing was good. Potato salad had so much garlic in it but I do like garlic depending on the person could be a turn off. And they didn't give me a spoon or fork for it so I used my fingers. Anyways the flavors were good but the pastrami stay away. Hope this helps.

Google
This pastrami sandwich is the best one I have tried here in Utah. I believe the meat is brisket, which gives a better texture. I do have to say it does get full quickly, but service is quick. I got a scone, and it was delicious. Great customer service.

Yelp
Literally in my backyard. I love to stop in for a bagel now and then. The bagels are simple but delicious. The specialty is the pastrami and or corned beef. I grew up back east and LOVE a good Reuben. At Feldmans my favorite is the Rachel. It doesn't feel quite as heavy to me as a Reuben. The bread on the sandwich is delightfully crisp and the meat tender. If you don't have the appetite of a lineman I would suggest sharing a sandwich. I will agree with other reviewers that this place does not have East Cost ambiance. The vinyl trees on the wall are more of a Utah in the 90s vibe. LOL. But I am here for it.

Yelp
I have been a fan of Feldman's for years and I thought I'd eaten everything on the menu at least once, but I recently order a Shop Kid sandwich and I was blown away by deliciousness. It was layers of beautifully prepared thin sliced of beef with a thick piece of melted cheese on grilled bread. A smattering of hand-cut fries helped cut some of the richness, but you can't fully escape it and that's a good thing. Wow, what a sandwich. I'm sure it's a million calories per bite, but what a way to go. Feldman's always delivers top quality service and an elevated product, so next time you think about ordering your usual, maybe take a walk on the Shop Kid side. Your only regret will be that you didn't try it sooner. Well done, Feldman's!

Yelp
Great service , live music and the best Reuben sandwich I've had in long time. I highly recommend the pastrami and corned beef.

Yelp
Brooklyn (her real name) was our server and was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and patient. She gave a good advice and the meal was excellent. This was our first visit and we only wish we had found this place sooner. Even though we are in SLC, the sandwiches tasted like what we remember in New York! We appreciate that they are open until 8pm. Not very common among Deli's. I only wish they were open on Sundays.

Yelp
This is just plain going to have to be a regular stop when we're in the area. SO GOOD!!! The portions are HUGE and DELICIOUS. We got several items and shared. Not one in our party walked away hungry or disappointed. We'll be back!

Yelp
I enjoyed my sandwich. I got a turkey Rueben sandwich It was toasted and came with slaw. I thought it was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. Fries were not soggy. They were crunchy and seasoned perfectly. They accommodated my friend who had gluten allergies. Very nice! Umm pickles were so good. Wish I was have ordered more. Staff we encountered were friendly. There was one guy who would greet people walking in. I can see how some may think he maybe rough around the edges but I felt like he added to the experience! The sandwich tasted like I was in a New York deli and I've only been there once and the sandwich was very close! It's a little expensive for a sandwich but I get it

Yelp
What an awesome sloppy Joe! Came here for lunch with a friend and he said sloppy HOA hands down with fries. I had the same thing and so glad I did! The sandwich was put together so well and with so much meat! The bread was so soft and tender I literally loved every bite of the first half of my sandwich. It is big, so if you have someone to share it with definitely do that. The fresh cut fries were so delicious and the accompanying fries sauce hit the spot. I would definitely order this exact same meal again next time.

Yelp
Come here. Get a sandwich, and you will understand why this is a 5 star establishment. I've been here a handful of times since they opened, but haven't reviewed because I thought, why? Everyone knows how good this place is right? You will not find a better Ruben or corned beef sandwich anywhere in Utah. Today I got the Ruben combo with pastrami and corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, thousand island, rye bread. It's perfect. My son said to me, why don't we come her more often? I couldn't answer. I don't know, we should. The fries are bomb, fry sauce is delicious.

Yelp
Haven't been in a while but most recent visit was as good as I remembered. I got the classic Reuben. A full sandwich and fries is very filling, I usually take half to go. Potato salad is also tasty and definitely has dill flavors. Seating is sufficient and not stuffy. Service is quick and friendly. Recommend parking on the north end of the lot as upfront parking can be hard to find.
google avatar

Yelp
Love the food so much. The service staff is rude, and treat customers like we are privileged to be there. Ugh. Second time in two weeks and thought it was just one server, but instead it was all three today. How hard is it to package to-gos in two different bags for two different places. Again, the shitty staff is worth it for the delish food!
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful food, excellent ambiance, and attentive service by the staff. I certainly recommend Feldmans Deli particularly if you like food.

Yelp
I was so impressed by the GF sandwich here. The bread was a delicious herby bread toasted to perfection. The meat cheese and sauerkraut combo was amazing. The portions were huge, definitely can share it. The service is quite good and they have live music playing some nights which is fun. Outdoor and indoor seating available.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, this place sure lives up to the hype!! My husband and I came here with my parents while they were in town before the arrival of our little guy. We came here for lunch after a busy morning and thoroughly enjoyed our meals and their quaint outdoor seating area on a beautiful fall afternoon in Utah! My dad got the corned beef sandwich, my mom got the Reuben, my husband got the combo, and I got the Turkey Reuben & we were all thoroughly satisfied with leftovers to take home! Side-wise, we chose their seasoned fries, potato salad, and coleslaw which all hit the spot as well. Feldman's definitely offers a heartier meal but you get so much food for the cost of your sandwich. We look forward to taking out of town visitors here in the future because this place is truly a treat!

Yelp
This is simply the best deli in Salt Lake City! The Feldmans bring the bulk of their meats in from Carnegie in NYC. The start with the best. The Pastrami and Corned beef are shaved super thin, stacked mile high, and lovingly grilled for the best sandwiches around. The turkey is also wonderful. They have specials on the weekends, meatloaf with mashed potatoes is my favourite. Janet is a creative baker and has many delectable pastries. It is a simple exterior, a cornerstone of a strip mall on 2000e and 2700s, but the interior is comfortable, is often filled, but turns over quickly. The staff is well trained, personable, and friendly. Feldmans is a staple of our family. I have been to delis from New York, Jersey, Chicago, Detroit and LA. This is my favourite!

Yelp
These sandwiches were so good and flavorful, the staff were friendly and I really like that for to go orders they wait till you're there so you can get the hottest fries possible, and the fries are well worth the wait.

Yelp
It's not just hype! This cute deli really delivers on all points. I had a reuben the other day, top marks. The bread was crisp, the meat tender, every item on the plate was high quality and the flavors melded brilliantly. Same for this morning's pork roll breakfast sandwich (ham, really). I'd heard this spot was good, and it still exceeded expectations!! Always fun jams over the speaker system, but not too loud. Didn't have kids with me today, but even though they have beer/hard seltzer on the menu, it's very kid friendly. Also - they do a pretty nice egg cream...!!

Deb L.

Yelp
I know this isn't going to be a popular view but I have to warn anyone from the East coast that recognizes good deli ambience and great sandwiches because this is NOT it. There is really no ambience here, the waitress recognized the table we picked wasn't clean but never came back to clean it. The waiter was nice enough, but took our order and never saw him again. We both ordered a standard Reuben, one with fries and the other with potato salad and we said 'yes' to the pickle. Which any true deli would be embarrassed to serve that pickle, it was very sad! The sandwich was ok, bread was ok...ok it's not great for a deli touting it is like a NY deli because I have had better sandwiches just about anywhere else. The fries looked limp and looked like they were fried in old oil. Very disappointing visit overall and not a place I would be clamoring to return to.
google avatar

Yelp
The goat! Well, respectfully my second favorite pastrami Rueben I've ever had...and I'm a connoisseur. Mounds of pastrami and mounds of fries. Huge portion and huge flavor justify the price tag. Will be making this a stop next time I'm in Salt Lake City. Service was kind and quick and the beers were affordable. Casual vibe and great food. You can't go wrong!

Yelp
Wait: It is so crowded here! I got here Saturday at 1pm and there were so many people coming in and out. The wait to sit down was 10 mins, and it takes an additional 15 minutes to get your food. They have 4 outdoor tables and indoor seating. Food: I ordered the sloppy Joe's sandwich (with jersey fries) and also the poppy and sesame bagels with lox and schmear as well as the chive schmear. The sandwich was incredibly saucey and wet. It made the bread soggy and it was the first time I didn't finish a dish, and didn't want to take it home. I only ate 1/4 of it. The fries were also soggy, which was surprising since I got my order 2 mins before I started to eat it. The waiter also didn't bring my fry sauce when I asked for it. He said he would come back with it but never did. However, I will say the bagels are delicious! They are perfectly crisp and the chive schmear is so good. I will be back for the bagels but unfortunately not for anything else.

Yelp
Had this place bookmarked to try when we visit SLC. We saw how busy it was around 1:30 but we were seated pretty quickly. I ordered the Trisha and fries and my husband got the shop kid and potato salad. His tasted so good and he really liked his potato salad. I liked mine but it wasn't amazing and I'd for sure try something else, although the fries were so tasty! Ordered my girls the grilled cheese and it was really good!! Will for sure come again!

Yelp
There are a handful of food items I long for from my childhood growing up in LA and a pastrami sandwich from Colima Burger is one of them. While Feldmans isn't exactly the same thing, it satisfies that itch and then some. Now of course the pastrami is your classic construction but with better rye and mustard. The mustard is notable, not basic but it doesn't try to steal the show. Cant make up your mind? Get the combo Rueben, it has it all. The fact that they can put together a sandwich of that magnitude and it doesn't fall apart is a feat within itself. It's one of those sandwiches that you're full after half but is so good you will knowingly eat yourself miserable just to get another taste. Fries are ridiculous as well, especially when you combine them with thousand island. Imagine Penn Station fries (but better) meets In-N-Out spread (but better). I'm always impressed at how fast service is here. No matter how busy and full the parking lot is you're never waiting for long.

Yelp
Feldmans is in the buisness of changing the way we eat. This is the first time (though it wont be the last) I've been encouraged to eat literal art. This Jewish deli consistently crafts the the mona lisa of reubens each and every time I'm lucky enough to be in the neighborhood. I will continue to come to Feldmans for this sandwich alone.
google avatar

Brittany F.

Yelp
We did a 10 day trip through the American Southwest and this was easily the best meal we had. The staff was incredibly friendly, the Rachel sandwich is something I will dream about, and the latkes were so crispy, best I've ever had. It was a lovely pitstop on the way back home, and for those wondering, there's a parking lot! Don't skip this place!

Audrey L.

Yelp
Delicious every single time!! I love the Sloppy Joe- it's not what you think- and it's big enough to share.
google avatar

Mindy D.

Yelp
Hands down the best deli sandwich in Utah!! This sandwich is packed with texture and flavor! Biting into the sandwich you first feel the crunchy texture of the perfectly grilled rye bread and then the moist pastrami and ooey gooey melty cheese takes your taste buds to umami heaven. I love this sandwich! The fries are absolutely amazing as well! You've got try this place!!
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
Honest food well prepared and delicious. Parking is a challenge if you go for lunch, but they've held tight to their ethos and every sandwich I've had is gigantic and scrumptious. Service stays cool even with a crowd.

Blake V.

Yelp
Insanely good sandwiches. Don't let the prices on the menu scare you! The sandwiches are huge! Easily could split a sandwich with someone. Also, their matzo ball soup is a great one for when you're sick! All the staff is super friendly!
google avatar

Scott C.

Yelp
I did take out which worked well despite the restaurant being very busy. The food is on another level; my sandwich was huge and very tasty. It was also put together well. The service was attentive and friendly.
google avatar

Dean G.

Yelp
I sent my husband into Feldmans for 2 RUBEN sandwiches and a plain turkey sandwich for our son...and they gave us 2 TURKEY RUBENS AND A PLAIN TURKEY SANDWICH:( please..realize that there is no substitute for the real ruben..NONE. If you did not have pastrami you should have said so..also the pickles were too spicy, and the slaw not creamy. The whole experience was a bust...I wish yelp would let people give zero or negative stars already . For 50 dollars the food should be accurate, hot, and fresh, very disappointing.
google avatar

Steve Y.

Yelp
Food was great, ended up ordering the Sloppy Joe since it was their signature sandwich and it was my first time here. Sandwich lived up to it's name. Meat was good, as was the bread and the toppings for the sandwich. What made it difficult to eat was actually the crust of the bread. The crust was quite chewy (not in a bad way, just the nature of the bread) compared to the tender meat, and so it was hard to bite off chunks without ripping the sandwich apart. Still, that's part of the fun! Place was clean, modern, and fun. There was plenty of seating but I came off peak hours. Getting there was a bit tricky. I thought I might have put the address in wrong since it felt like a dense residential neighborhood, but then then deli popped up all of a sudden on my right. The roads nearby have some pretty steep dips and bumps, so drive carefully. Why the missing star you might ask? When I got handed the little PDA to pay the bill, it seemed like my waitress had already helped herself to a 20% tip. I hit "accept" on the screen expecting the tip options to pop up, but was surprised to find out that I had accepted the final bill. The menu did say that 20% gratuity would automatically apply to groups of 6 or more, but I was dining alone. 20% is what I would normally do anyway, but something about that process left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
Our family moved out of the state a few years ago and recently visited Utah to see family for the holidays. Of course we had to stop by Feldmans for breakfast. Not a thing has changed (and I mean that in the most amazing sense). The food here is always 5-star incredible. The staff is personable and kind. You owe it to yourself to check out this amazing spot; you won't regret it! PS - there's a reason why they put a limit on the number of to-go bagels you can order. They are the best bagels I've ever had in Utah and they make them in small batches. They sell out quickly. If you get a chance to try their salt bagel I highly recommend it - it's my favorite hands down.

Janet R.

Yelp
This place is the bomb!! We live in Arizona & every time we come to slc we stop in. Never disappoints!!
google avatar

Yelp
Wow wow wow! Huge servings. If you're looking for a deli sandwich , this is your spot. Service was great!! Friendly staff. The food was just delicious
google avatar

Satish S.

Yelp
Best sandwich I've had in Utah. I've been wanting to try this place for a while but hesitant from seeing the prices on the menu. The prices are well worth it, big sandwiches one is good for two people.

Jodi K.

Yelp
The best food ever and service was outstanding! Portions are huge and would recommend sharing a meal.
google avatar

Maddy R.

Yelp
We came for early lunch. It filled up SO fast... food was delicious. I got the Rachel Combo and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. You get what you pay for. Sandwiches are huge, large portion of fries. I will definitely be coming back. Great atmosphere as well!
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
The first time I went here, they didn't have gluten free bread so I had to leave and I was bummed and annoyed. This time I called ahead and they had it so I got to go! I did really like the bread and was impressed with its size (gf bread is usually miniature). The price is also the same as a normal sandwich.... But you get half as much meat if you do gf. Maybe it's a sandwich integrity thing but it was pretty sad watching my friend swooning over his monster sandwich as I ate my much smaller one and then sitting there and watching him eat way longer bc of course mine took way less time to eat. I have to guess that's why I thought the sandwich was just okay? Different proportions of ingredients must result in a very different overall flavor.
google avatar

Carlton C.

Yelp
2nd time to visit and it was just as tasty as the first. Tried the Reuben Combo this time and I was stuffed after eating half of it, just like the first time with the Reuben. The sandwich holds together well and the flavors and texture blends perfectly. Plus, the service is fast and friendly. All praise and no complaints for Feldman's Deli.
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
Holy cow! Feldman's has the best sandwiches in the valley. My favorite is the East Side Sloppy Joe. It's huge and make 2 meals. Service is top notch. I definitely recommend going to Feldman's Deli

John A.

Yelp
The food is excellent. You get your money s worth! I love to eat my breakfast here. The atmosphere is relaxed and very warm.

Yelp
Service was quick. Food was Excellent! We went back 2 days in a row because we liked it so much. Both the potato salad and fries were delicious! We got the Rachel both times it was so good and recommended by our server. They are big sandwiches so my husband and I shared.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Portions are huge and it is usually packed. The wait staff is friendly.

Yelp
Feldman's is the best sandwiches in SLC hands down. Today i ordered the Pastrami Reuben, and once again, my steep expectations were pleasantly exceeded. a heeping 1/2lb portion of some of the most delectable pastrami i have ever had the pleasure of tasting. The service has always been efficient and polite which I can appreciate. along with a vibe to the establishment that is very low-key and peaceful. Will be stopping back soon!

Yelp
Feldsman Deli is a sandwich shop right off of 2700. It's a "hip" establishment ran by Rachel who offers sandwiches from "East Side Sloppy Joe" to "Reuben" and everything in between. The serving sizes are quite large for what they are and the food has many layers to it. Overall I give it a 4 out of 5. It stands out in its uniqueness, however I don't think it marks itself as the top of the top for a sandwich place. It is tasty though!
google avatar

Melinda H.

Yelp
Feldman's deli is in a super accessible location right next to the Brickyard shopping center. It's well known for some of the best pastrami sandwiches in town. I usually get a Reuben sandwich but today I tried the combo that also has corned beef. While I like the combo, I think the classic Ruben is still my favorite. It's really hard to go wrong here. We had a fun couple dinner date with some friends and they let us stay till almost closing and we're super nice and hospitable ! This is a must try place in Salt Lake City
google avatar

Dan F.

Yelp
Came to SLC for work. My coworker started watering at the mouth when he mentioned Feldmans so we decided to get lunch from there. He ordered to go and i had a Reuben sandwich. It was soooooo delicious, my mouth is watering just thinking about it again. So delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is quality. Quality meat. Quality Bread. So very good. We had a classic ham, and a Rachel. The fries!!! They are delicious. Service was sweet, friendly, and quick. The atmosphere is great. Small, but room for everyone. Some outdoor seating as well, which was nice...even in winter. Tons of skiers and individuals getting g theirs to go.

Yelp
I have to say that it's great having a Jewish style deli in the middle of Salt Lake City. The sandwiches (Sloppy Joe & Pastrami) are delicious and fairly authentic, although they lack the size that you find at other Jewish deli's as far as how high the meat is stacked on them. The Matzo ball soup was okay but a little more bland than we're used to. It was a good experience and staff was friendly and helpful. Our biggest complaint would probably be the size of the restaurant and the wait to get a table. Pros: Tasty, fairly authentic Jewish deli sandwiches, soup and dessert. Easy to find in East SLC. Cons: Parking is awful since they share a parking lot with other stores. The small seating area and wait time to actually get a table. Overall a fun atmosphere, delicious lunch and nice decor. This is not your New York Jewish deli, but it's the only game in town, so enjoy it!
