"A bastion of classic Piedmontese cuisine, this restaurant housed in a beautiful period palazzo boasts a panoramic terrace and a romantic garden for alfresco dining. The dining rooms echo the palazzo’s sumptuous and traditional feel, as does the timeless, regional cuisine which is carefully prepared and full of delicious flavours. The building is also home to an “albergo diffuso” hotel, with some guestrooms in the building itself and others dotted around the village, including in Palazzo Boeri which also has a small spa (reservation required). The owners are happy to share their knowledge of the Langhe, either on their own guided tours or visits led by another local expert." - Michelin Inspector
Wonderful dinner on one of our last nights visiting the area, lady on reception kindly squeezed us in for that evening's service and we enjoyed every moment. Beautiful authentic dining room, traditional attentive service - each table booked. Recommended to us by a local chef whom we had met earlier in the day, its reputation fully justified. Will revisit whenever we return to Monforte!

Amazing views, great service and delicious food. The knife cut tajarin with tomato sauce, basil and fresh herbs was outstanding for such an uncomplicated dish. Staff at the restaurant and hotel were helpful and very friendly. We loved our stay there while we toured the area sampling the wines and cuisine.

From the moment we booked the communication was excellent. We needed to sort parking, direction etc and our emails were always responded to quickly. On arrival each and every staff member was friendly and helpful. Our suites were well appointed and had fantastic views. Loved the breakfast and the lovely staff. Thank you for such a special family holiday. We loved every minute of our stay.

Food was delicious and service was attentive and friendly. The terrace overlooking the sunset has a magnificent view of the valley and nearby towns. Great place to enjoy a solo birthday dinner.

Loved the place, cosy, yet classy atmosphere, great views of the landscape. Very good food in their restaurant, awesome friendly staff. Interesting, very interesting wine cellar. One of my very best stays in Italy over 30 years. Only one more thing to say ...I will be back!

What an amazing hotel. The view from the room was amazing looking out at the Alps in the background. We had dinner in the restaurant, and it was delicious. The owners took us down to the wine cellar and made several recommendations. The staff provided us with glasses each night so our party of seven could enjoy recently purchased wines. They also set up wine tastings and truffle hunting, which was fun.

For classic Piedmontese dining there no better place. Cozy and welcoming room with staff to match. Fresh takes on the standards make the menu stand out above most other restaurants on the region.
Wine list is tricky. Some great deals and amazing back vintages but at a price. Ask for help and their knowledgeable staff can always find a solution.
Book in advance, especially on weekends. Great view at lunch!!

It has been more than 20 years since I last stayed at Giardino da Felicin. I was there a few times back in the 90s. In terms of the quality of the food, service and rooms it has only gotten better. ||I got to know Giorgio back then and now it is run by his son Nino. There is the same attention to detail that results in a great and wonderful experience.||Alba and the surrounding small towns are the center of what I consider the best overall combination of food and wine in the world.||The restaurant and wine list measure up to that level in all aspects.||And when it is run by a staff that is client focused as well as accommodating that makes it only more enjoyable.||As a side note the breakfast experience is also top notch with a wide selection of both sweet and savory.||Finally if one is going to Alba and the surrounding area, one might as well go in October during white truffle season. World-class all the way.||
