Felix Empanadas

Felix’s Empanadas on Orchard Street is a great little spot in the Lower East Side for Argentinian-style empanadas. Everything here is baked, not fried, which I really liked. They have a nice variety to choose from beef, chicken, lobster, cheese, and more. A few of the empanadas were slightly undercooked, but they were still very flavorful and the crust was nicely flaky. The sauces were a bit on the bland side, but they did add some extra depth to the flavors. Service was excellent the staff was very friendly and our food came out super fast. Overall a solid spot and we’ll definitely be back again.

Very friendly. Made fresh yet very quick. Had the steak at location. Got empanadas to go. Felix was nice to ask if I wanted them half baked so I can finish off at home for reheating.

Had the chicken empanada & Guava and cheese empanada. Empanadas looked like they’re baked which gives it this flaky crispy crust to the empanada. Was delicious then also had the steak and fries was delicious also great service very friendly and food delicious

I’ve tried all the empanada spots in LES/Lower Manhattan and Felix Empanadas is better quality and tastier than Empanada Mama & Titi’s in my opinion. Plus, on Saturdays they have live jazz and are open until 5am, AND the service is top quality. Felix Empanadas is all around my new favorite empanada spot. The street beef one was my favorite.

This place was excellent, authentic Argentinian, and open till 130 AM! I got the street beef and there were two great sauces- the classic cilantro and a spicy sauce. Great divey ambiance and fast and efficient service. Pro Tip- THEY FRY IN COCONUT OIL!!!!!!! Do yourself a favor and skip Empanada Mama and come here instead.

Damn! I don’t know if you’re ready for this Miami influenced, super fresh empanada shop! We were walking home and were drawn in by the bright clean compact storefront and delicious smells. We had the 6x combo. You can’t go wrong with any of the 10+ choices. Dough was crazy flaky and the ingredients were very fresh and spiced perfectly. We ordered the rice and beans side, but didn’t get them in our bag. No big deal every thing was ridiculously good.

Delicious!! Great owner. Highly recommended. Favorites were beef (both kinds) and chicken. The fancier ones were good.

Best empanadas I’ve ever had! I was craving a late night snack and decided to check this spot out. I’ve only eaten empanadas at Empanada Mama which have been my favorite but this place is by far the best. Less greasy and less fried, fresh tasting, and with really good quality filling. Steak was incredible, chicken and cheese, and Jamaican were both good too. Will be back to try the rest.
