"Brilliant chef Felix Lo Basso’s menu is inspired by northern Europe: he offers one single menu that changes regularly depending on market availability and that requires all diners to book ahead and eat at the same time. Although the dishes are inventive and occasionally elaborate, the chef often creates unique reinterpretations of recipes and ingredients from his native Puglia, occasionally with an original Asian twist. Beyond the small rooms used for private dinners, the main dining room features an elegant counter along which guests can sit and watch the chefs at work, with Felice cooking and entertaining his diners with his full range of personal skills to put guests at ease. We’re going to keep the dessert a secret but will give you just one word as a clue – Nuvola (the Italian for cloud)." - Michelin Inspector

I had the privilege to enjoy Felix Lo Basso for my 34th birthday in Milan and I cannot begin to describe how wonderful the experience was. Attentive staff, thought provoking dishes, and it’s entertaining to watch each dish assembled in front of you. The bar type seating was comfortable and intimate, only 12 diners at a time. I chose to add a 3 glass wine pairing for 80€ but there was a 5 glass option for €120. Overall we were served 27 plates, and then 5 desserts. Each one thought provoking and delicious. I would caution people with a limited taste pallet or those who aren’t interested in adventure. For those who would try anything and everything, this place will delight you. Also due to the nature of the set menu, it may not be the best for someone with severe food allergies, though my guest mentioned they were allergic to peanuts and they assured us that none were being used that night which was comforting. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, thank you for a magical birthday.

An excellent choice for a long afternoon dining experience! The full experience of the 8 course meal will take time to enjoy, so prepare for that (we took about 3 hours). We were able to make a reservation on their website on the same day and we got great service throughout the entire experience. Great views from almost all of the seats.

My experience here was just alright. I have eaten in many different Michelin starred restaurants, and I can’t say that I would eat here again. The staff were certainly very friendly, respectful, and accommodating. We had an early reservation at 7:30pm and we were the second guests to be seated. At just 2-4 guests, they were very prompt and I really felt like I was in a Michelin restaurant, however as the night progressed, the service became slightly a bit more delayed. For the evening, they had maybe 7-8 tables, but only had 2 waiters and the sommelier. The chef was also helping with serving a larger table, but it was perhaps because he knew the guests. He greeted them upon arrival. This one may be a bit silly, but throughout the night we would hear a bell go off from the kitchen indicating that food was ready. We also heard dishes breaking (I can’t remember if it was once or twice). As far as the food, I certainly enjoyed the creativity, color, presentation, and texture. The taste was good, though nothing spectacular. I really want to give this restaurant more stars, but quite frankly, I am surprised this even got a Michelin star… Felix Lobasso is just not as refined as I would anticipate from a Michelin starred restaurant. My overall experience with the food, ambience, and experience was just mediocre, specially for the price of the meal. I would likely not return here again.

This michelin 1 star restaurant is at my hotel so decided to try out for dinner. Went for the 7 course seafood menu at Euro170. Pricing not too bad. Including the complimentary dish, expect around 10 courses. Service is very attentive and efficient. Compliments to the team and especially the sommelier. Food is creative but mostly served cold-ish meaning it was not hot enough for me. Tje best I thought was the lobster with mushroom. Just perfect. Produce is really fresh and with each dish the waiter do take the initiative to explain what the dish was the way enjoy them. With the exception of the olive appetizer which was too salty for my taste, the others were quite enjoyable. It was a good evening dining alone in Milan. Stongly recommend for a romantic night out or the special occasion.

Google
A culinary experience. The restaurant is devised around the concept of the art of cooking in action with a maximum of 12 dinners sitting at a counter whilst the chef and staff prepare and serve 12 courses of exquisite food/art. This 12x12 format makes for both an intimate atmosphere and an interactive dining experience. We chose to have one of the wine pairings which complimented the food extremely well. It must be said that this is an expensive treat, but with the quality of both the food and staff, we both felt it still represented good value for money
