My experience here was just alright. I have eaten in many different Michelin starred restaurants, and I can’t say that I would eat here again. The staff were certainly very friendly, respectful, and accommodating. We had an early reservation at 7:30pm and we were the second guests to be seated. At just 2-4 guests, they were very prompt and I really felt like I was in a Michelin restaurant, however as the night progressed, the service became slightly a bit more delayed. For the evening, they had maybe 7-8 tables, but only had 2 waiters and the sommelier. The chef was also helping with serving a larger table, but it was perhaps because he knew the guests. He greeted them upon arrival. This one may be a bit silly, but throughout the night we would hear a bell go off from the kitchen indicating that food was ready. We also heard dishes breaking (I can’t remember if it was once or twice).
As far as the food, I certainly enjoyed the creativity, color, presentation, and texture. The taste was good, though nothing spectacular. I really want to give this restaurant more stars, but quite frankly, I am surprised this even got a Michelin star… Felix Lobasso is just not as refined as I would anticipate from a Michelin starred restaurant. My overall experience with the food, ambience, and experience was just mediocre, specially for the price of the meal. I would likely not return here again.
