I came here for a solo date night. The restaurant is huge, and has an upstairs bar, which was unfortunately closed. The service was great. The staff were polite, attentive and welcoming. I especially enjoyed the Lychee martini and berry pavlova. There wasn't much of an atmosphere in terms of music or entertainment, but I guess I was especially aware of this as I was alone. There were plenty of couples dining, it is a lovely restaurant romantic dinner and groups would have no problem having a chit chat without loud music. I'd go again and take a friend next time.

My husband and I had dinner at Felix to celebrate our wedding anniversary. First impressions were good, a stunning restaurant both inside and out. Although it was not very busy, we were seated quite close to another table of 2. We did notice the birdcage booths but weren’t offered to sit there, although throughout the evening couples were seated in them so wish we had have been offered this as it would have been much more comfortable. For starters I had the prawn cocktail and my husband had the duck pancakes, and for main I had the Parmesan crusted cod (delicious!!) and my husband had pork belly. We also ordered side dishes of potatoes and broccoli. We had room for pudding so shared a sticky toffee pudding. Overall we did enjoy the experience and found the portions to be bigger than you would expect, but the food didn’t wow us like we were hoping for and that we have had in similar local restaurants previously. A lovely evening but wouldn’t necessarily rush back.

Went there on my birthday to have a nice meal as heard good reviews about this place. Didn't order starters, just main. We were given olives, bread, and butter regardless which was nice. I had a strawberry daiquiri which was just pure alcohol. We both ordered a steak - was supposed to be medium but arrived well done. Had mash on the side. Only had a few spoons and felt full so asked the waitress to bag everything up for us. When they brought the bag back, the whole portion of mash was gone? They only left a spoonful worth of it. We questioned it. The waitress said "oh I bagged up what you gave me". Wrong. The correct answer should be "sorry, we will get you another portion as we must have chucked what you had on the plate". I also had a side salad. If you plan on ordering it, don't bother. It was just some chopped up cabbage, 2 cocktail tomatoes, and some slices of onion. I wasn't impressed with the food. Spent £190 on 2 mains, 2 sides, salad, daiquiri and a glass of wine. Actually 1 side as my mash disappeared!

Really lovely place to eat. It's known as a fish restaurant but they serve a full menu including steaks, roasts and veg.

We arrived & were promptly seated the food was 10 out of 10 but unfortunately the waiter/ waitress staff lacked manners when serving , reaching across the table whilst we were in conversation & one waitress brought our Tia Maria coffees & managed to spill all the cream out of the coffees into the saucers, she did apologise but left us to clear all the cream off of the glasses using napkins from the table, we feel she should of offered to remake the drinks!!! After spending £413 pounds we feel your staff need better training & maybe some elocution lessons on how to address and communicate better with their customers!!!

I'm not quite sure what has happened to Felix, Warley. We went for dinner with friends last Thursday, and the restaurant had only a handful of diners all night, compared to the bustling restaurant of earlier in the year. The starters we had were a mixed bag. The soft shell crabs and garlic and chilli prawns were excellent, but the mussels and the sticky beef salad weren't up to previous standards. My sticky beef came as a lump which wasn't particularly tasty. So to the main course. The monkfish and crusted cod were both good, but my friend's battered cod was served as crusted cod in error. My halibut was overcooked (I'm shocked the chef didn't notice!).This was very disappointing given how few customers there were. To be fair, I was offered for a new piece of halibut to be cooked once I complained, but didn't bother as we had already waited for the replacement cod. Because of the various issues we had complimentary desserts, though at that stage only two of us wanted them. We're hoping this was a one-off bad day for the restaurant, as it used to be one of our favourites in the area.
