The Best Restaurants Worth Visiting in Mobile, Alabama

"For fresh gulf seafood with a side of sunset views over Mobile Bay, you can’t go wrong with Felix’s Fish Camp. A rusted tin roof and neon signage signal that this roadside venue doesn’t take itself too seriously except when it comes to its fish. Local catch is served in just about any preparation you can imagine — crab soup and gulf oysters on the half-shell are particular highlights. Come for the seafood but stay for the live music every Monday through Saturday night at the Boat House Bar. Felix’s Fish Camp is closed on Sundays." - Sarah Bisacca

We had a nice dinner here but I expected more from them! Everyone raves about Felix's. Maybe we got the wrong stuff. There was a big party there so I understand they were busy. Drinks were great, fish we enjoyed, steak was not cooked medium rare. And for the price paid it just didn't feel right. Adding the crab on the top is a nice touch to the steak! The baked potato was good and the greens were decent. The roll is a yeast roll and it was nice and hot! Cheese grits are equivalent to waffle house. I love grits and these are just regular grits with cheese sprinkled on top. We are going to come back and give it another try and get different things! I will come back to update after our next visit.

Excellent seafood choices straight from the Gulf. Our server, Darby, was exceptionally friendly and provided outstanding service. Swamp water drink was amazing!!! Fish tacos were great! Oysters were some of the best I have ever had.

Google
The food here great, and so was the service. This must be an established restaurant in the area because it was packed when we arrived. The only thing that caught my attention, and as we were traveling, was the LEO posted outside. This is an automatic red flag for me as business do not post LEOs unless they have had issues with patrons or locals, but it turned out to be a great place to eat. The Shrimp and Grits was awesome.

Stopped here for a late lunch. The decor is so cute and the food and view are amazing! We tried ahi tuna, crab soup, camp salad, and the daily fresh catch of trigger fish, key lime pie and bread pudding. Every bite of everything was outstanding! We would highly recommend it!

We’ve stopped at Felix’s Fish Camp in Spanish Fort every year for the past five years on our way to Pensacola, and it’s always a highlight. The food is consistently delicious, the sautéed crab claws are a must, the drinks are solid, and the waterfront view is absolutely beautiful—especially at sunset. In past years, it’s usually been just adults or my husband and me, and it’s always been the perfect spot for a relaxing, grown-up dinner. On our most recent visit, we had a party of 8 and a baby, and while the food was still excellent (the seared triggerfish with crab topping easily made my top five fish meals of all time—SO good), the experience with a baby wasn’t ideal. We were seated at a high-top table, and the high chair was far too low to allow our little one to be part of the meal comfortably. It made dinner a bit stressful and not very family-friendly. Still, we’ll be back—it’s a tradition and the food always delivers. Just something to keep in mind if you’re visiting with young kids: it’s much better suited for adults.

Absolutely loved Felix's. We were down for a wedding and were told to try Felix's. Handsdown the crab soup! Loved the food and service was phenomenal. Can't wait to make an excuse to be back down to go there again 🤣

Google
Service and the restaurant were great. Great view and great people! Soup trio is a must have or just the crab soup is you are so inclined. It is fantastic!! The truffle fries appetizer was also extremely good. My complaints are with the crab cake, mushrooms, and hushpuppies. The crab cake did not have much crab, the mushrooms were not hot, and the hushpuppies supposedly had jalapeños but I couldn't find any. That said, the triggerfish was nicely seasoned and very tasty. It was the little things that kept me from giving Felix's 5 stars.

Google
Our family had an incredible experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely phenomenal, and the service was top-notch. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff’s attention to detail, especially the way the waitresses presented the dishes, truly stood out. One dish that everyone agreed was a standout was the she crab soup—it was simply unforgettable. This is definitely one of those must-visit spots if you’re in the area. It’s perfect for large groups, and we were seated and served surprisingly quickly. We highly recommend this restaurant for its amazing food, excellent service, and overall fantastic atmosphere. Don’t miss it!

Yelp
I made a reservation at 9:45pm on Friday night for the next day and they accommodated and did it WELL, I must admit. With the time frame I gave them, I was surprised to see the room and table we were seated at. The entire room felt like we were able to be completely immersed in our own little world and I couldn't tell anyone was eating outside of it! Not even exaggerating. And listen, I'm a mom of 3 under 10 and even with my wild bunch, it felt like this. Anna was our waitress (I think there was supposed to be two but we only saw Anna the entire time) and when I say that she knew what she was doing, she KNEW what she was doing. From start to finish she made our entire family feel like it was an experience for dinner. I asked so many questions about different foods and she knew exactly every question and even recommended dishes from what I told her I liked. I went to the restroom (which was clean ) and I saw her at a huge party and I thought "Wow, you can't even tell how many people she is serving" She truly made you feel like it was only you she was serving. Food? Outstanding. I knew from reviews to expect good food, but WOW. Everything was cooked perfectly. We ordered the spinach crab meat dip for appetizer. 9 out of 10 stars. 1-ordered the "Batty". Said everything was fried great. Not overpowering batter. Sautéed mushrooms for a side and Mac n cheese. Both 10/10. 2- stuffed white fish and crawfish sauce, jalapeno hush puppies and Mac n cheese. He said the hush puppies were the perfect mix of spicy and savory. Fish was great and flaky, stuffing was moist and not dry. 3- Mahi mahi catch of the day. Blackened. Camp salad and I can't remember his other one. 4- the soon-to-be mom we celebrated. Camp salad, key lime pie, everything else's plate snack board hahaha 5-fried shrimp, green beans, Mac n cheese. Shrimp were great, Mac n cheese was obviously a hit all around. Green beans were great, he didn't care for them topped with almonds though. 6-fries. (Kids, man.) but the fries were perfect too! 7- I can't remember the name of what I had officially but it was the 3 small samples of their house made soups. Gumbo was my least favorite but still flavorful regardless. Just not my liking of spices. Turtle soup-okay I was hesitant to try but it was definitely 2nd place. Not bad, it's definitely a unique flavor and many different levels of flavor. Crab soup? LAWD HAVE MERCY. It was so good. I mean good enough I got a to go bowl. 8-chicken tenders (kids yet again lol) but I tried the chicken tenders because how can I be a reviewer and NOT try a bite of everything. They were great! Not too breaded. Desserts- mom to be had key lime pie, I shared the bread pudding with my husband. Both were literally superb. I do wish they had a dessert menu, honestly. Anna knew every question I asked BUT I would've loved to just read the list and the description of it. Just personal opinion though! If you are looking for a place that is not only an experience like higher end but also fits in the budget without giving you the high end cost. Just do it. Try it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed. ALL THIS TO SAY- Felix's Fish Camp, your reputation precedes you.

Yelp
Been here several times. This time was not the best experience. Service was just average. Had three people order the snapper at the table. Mine was about half the size as the other two. The waiter said they weigh all the fish before they cook it. Common sense says it was not even close to the same size. On top of that it was overcooked. Most of the time a solid choice, this time - not as good.

Yelp
3.5 stars...I don't have half-star technology. It was hit and miss when we went. Place def has character. If you are old enuf to remember the 80s movie Porky's...kinda looks like that from the outside. Party of 6. Can be a challenge when trying to find a table at a busy joint. But, Megan at the front desk hooked us up. Seated in the large bar area. Ambience is cool, views are nice especially around sunset. Service was ok. Prices reasonable. Food was inconsistent. For a fish place, you'd think those dishes would be dialed in. They weren't. A couple of dishes were overcooked. Some dishes came out lukewarm.. Others, though were really good - the soft shell crabs, shrimp and grits (the shrimp were a little overcooked). All in all. A cool place. The food is ok, but I'd say the character and ambience is worth a go.

Yelp
Such high reviews we thought it would be great! Unfortunately we were wrong. Started with a 45 min wait... that we were okay with! Saturday night you're expected to waited to be seated, no issue. Then we waited OVER an hour for our food. The waitress apologized and said the manager was looking into it... never saw a manger. The salad was spread so thin on the plate, had no flavor and was wet... like water wet. The shrimp Alfredo... no flavor yet again and was hot shrimp over cold sauce and room temp noodles... none of it made sense and was not good! My brother got chicken parm.. I thought ohhh that looked great!!! Nope barely any sauce only enough to make it look like it had something on there and then you had dry plain noodles under the thin chicken. Yes we ate because we were hungry and waited 2 hours for the entire experience and were ready to get the kids home... but not good. We will not be returning.

Yelp
It's my first time visiting Alabama, and my friend brought me here for dinner. What a delight! The atmosphere is beachy and chill, very clean and tidy. Our server Alana was literally amazing, friendly and helpful and funny. The food was mostly outstanding; highlights were the spinach and crab dip, the crab soup, the shrimp (both grilled and fried). I didn't love the mushrooms; they were a little too soft. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Yelp
We came here in December for a work dinner. There was a group of 10-12 of us. We were seated in our own room away from the main dining area. Servers came in and out salads down in front of us, which was odd because no one had ordered yet. Not even drinks. Once they were told, they immediately grabbed the salad and took them away. I never got the fries that came with my meal, but didn't complain because honestly I was so stuffed from all the delicious appetizers we had: crab claws, both fried and steamed, spinach dip, and one other one. I can't remember, but it was all so good. After the dinner, a few of us went into the main dining area to listen to live music and the server brought us drinks - something called a Krissy. Oh my lawdddd it was amazing. I did get lost going to the bathroom (no, I really did) but that's my own fault. The vibes of this place were excellent and comfortable, and the prices were way more affordable than I expected them to be. My husband and I were very impressed, and will most definitely be back.

Yelp
I had the red snapper and it was horrible. My friend had fried red snapper and it was horrible. My son took a bite of my red snapper and said it was horrible. It was the worst seafood I have had in a very long time. Waitress was super nice. The atmosphere is decent. The food was just simply subpar. Not desiring to return any time soon.

Yelp
Great lunch on the water at a quirky place that's clearly a local favorite. Went on the recommendation of a family member and while we couldn't get a window table (pro tip: make a reservation for one!) and the service started off slow (lots of big parties), the food was worth it and our waiter was friendly and informative. We started with an order of fried green tomatoes and crab soup--both are fantastic. The house salad features artichokes and hearts of palm with a homemade dressing that's light and delicious. Entrees were the special--blackened red snapper topped with a crab cake and more crab; and sautéed white fish. Sides were turnip greens, fries, and cheese grits. Definitely had a great meal! And even not sitting on the window we had a great view of the gulf.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday lunch at Felix's today. I enjoyed my favorite entree fish almandine with camp salad and cheese grits. My husband enjoyed red beans and rice, turnip greens and cornbread. Dessert was complimentary when celebrating your birthday. I chose the key lime pie which was amazing looking as well as the taste.

Yelp
This restaurant is always crowded and I think that's because of the quality of food that you receive there. The atmosphere is warm there is a scenic view and the food is very good. Although they are crowded most of the time the wait time is reasonable. The food and the service is worth the wait.

Yelp
Absolutely my only place I go for dinner when I come to Mobile. I am here once a year for work and Felix's is my go to. The crab bisque is incredible, and get the fish of day with the "almondine" topping - the brown butter sauce is insane! Love Felix.
google avatar

Tommy O.

Yelp
Lunch or dinner, you cannot go wrong with Felix's. Every dish made to order and delivered to the table hot and flavorful. Staff is always watching each others back so any person will stop and help you. Great view of Mobile Bay from nearly every table in the restaurant. I used to go to the Montgomery location in the 1990's (closed years ago) and now make the drive from Gulf Shores. Price/Value/Flavor ratio is excellent. Reasonably priced and generous portions.

Randy B.

Yelp
Food was excellent! Service was amazing!!! The best food on the causeway!! Pan seared red snapper, Oscar sauce with crab meat is the way to go!!

Yelp
Came in on a Monday evening around 8pm very surprised to see there was a 45 min wait haha. However, I was told there's free seating near the bar and it's first come first serve so we were able to snag a table there for a party of 4. Our server was very nice and attentive. Explained the menu, answered any questions, and was great on timing. We started with the oysters - a dozen at market price ($19). I was so excited for oysters and these were amazing. I ordered the blackened red drum with succotash and green beans almondine. Everything was flavorful and the red drum was a great fish I've never had before. The food was really good - seasoned, cooked well and tasty. I didn't take pictures of the food besides the oysters but everything was great. In addition, they asked us what the occasion was and my friend had just graduated so they threw in a complimentary cheesecake! We ordered a key lime pie as well. Both desserts were fantastic. My friends ordered some mezcal cocktail and said it was amazing. The whole time this evening they had someone playing live covers of old songs, and the ambiance was so warm especially since it was storming outside. Great place to come on the causeway!

Yelp
best service in the area and food is just delicious! we sat in the bar and enjoyed the live music along with our dinner, we began with cocktails, both enjoyed the she crab soup and fish fresh catches. nothing short of FABULOUS!

Yelp
This is one great place folks!! The food is fresh, well prepared and great presentation. The service here is first class, pleasant and efficient. The staff is well trained. The setting is fabulous, great water views and very unique "fish camp" interior. This is a well thought out and managed resturant. I hosted a group of 20 in a private room here. They handled the crowd exceedingly well. Everyone enjoyed their meal immensely. Great food and drinks. Really could not have been better. I'm looking to my next visit.
google avatar

Hillery C.

Yelp
Get there early or you will wait to get in. Amazing soup flight and BBQ shrimp and good prices. Exceptional service was provided.

Sandra P.

Yelp
Excellent food, atmosphere and service! The fish was fresh and tasty. Loved the crab soup and salad.
google avatar

Katie A.

Yelp
The service was incredible! Our server Andy was attentive, kind, and quick! It was so great to be able to get the soft shell crab, we can't get that in Arizona so it's quite the treat! Mac n cheese was just okay to me, and I loved the fried green tomatoes! The restaurant was really pretty, with great views of the bay - we saw a couple groups celebrating birthdays in the afternoon and this looked like a great place to host a party! Felix's is worth the try!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is pretty good for a quick bite. The food is decent and reasonably priced, so it's a good option if you're on a budget. I had the burger, and it was fine, but again, not the best I've had. The service was friendly, and I liked how quick they were.
google avatar

Raisin S.

Yelp
The food here is solid, but it's nothing to rave about. I had the chicken, and it was cooked fine, but could've used more seasoning. The atmosphere was pretty chill, and the staff were nice enough. I might come back, but not in a rush.
google avatar

Grace T.

Yelp
Our server Grace was absolutely the best. She was very kind, attentive, and provided amazing service. As a server myself, seriously she was amazing. Her memory of everything on the dessert menu (since they didn't have a paper one) was very impressive haha. The view was nice, and we even saw an eagle which apparently was rare. The shrimp cocktail with a little twist was VERY delicious! 10/10! I had to try the turtle soup which was good. and I had the Ahi Tuna entre as well. The fried green tomato's didn't have any dip but I was very impressed with how much flavor the breeding had and was crispy and not soggy at all! And the key lime pie was delicious. Nothing to complain here, definitely would recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
This place has old-school charm . Service was friendly. Food was ok. Nothing to wright home about. I will probably try another spot next time IM through

Yelp
Just had a late lunch a few days ago and it's always amazing in every aspect. The waitstaff is so courteous and helpful you'd think you were at Chick-fil-A!

Yelp
The first thing to note is that they do operate by reservations, so please be aware. With that said, they do have the bar/lounge area that does operate by walk-in so we were able to dine as a first come first serve basis. The overall ambience of the building was amazing! Not overly crowded with seafood or ocean memorabilia, very eclectic and fun in the decor, while also remaining sophisticated. There were patrons dressed very casually, and even those that were dressed in their best. This is a very family-friendly restaurant or sure. We started with the crab claws in wine sauce. Absolutely delicious! From there, we had the grilled fish, which we chose snapper, with a scoop of crab meat, dressed in cream sauce. Everything about it was amazing. Moist, decadent, not overheavy in the richness department; very balanced. I chose macaroni and cheese and fried green tomatoes as my sides while one of my parties chose a house salad, which was also delicious. Our server, Lillian, was extremely knowledgeable and told us everything about what was on special, the market prices, what she recommended ... she was truly a walking billboard for this restaurant. She was pleasant and took care of us beautifully. Ask for by name if you can! Definitely recommend this establishment if you're on your way down the I-10 corridor. You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Kelsey C.

Yelp
We love going to Felix's when we are visiting Mobile. The service is always excellent from all staff and the food is always fantastic. I always try the fresh catch and have never had a bad piece of fish! We just discovered there is a back bar area that is first come first serve and also had a live band. We will definitely try that out next time.
google avatar

Silvia G.

Yelp
Popular spot along the bridge to Mobile. It was packed with people. Nice ambience with beautiful sunset views. Food was alright. I remember it being better a few years back. It came out fast. Service was very good and friendly. The cocktail was spot on. I'd def visit again next time we're in the area.

Michael D.

Yelp
Fried crap claw appetizer was good! However the crap cake stuffing in my meal had lots of crap shell pieces in it.
google avatar

Patti C.

Yelp
Exceptional service with multiple staff assisting every need . Delicious fresh seafood Oysters fresh and seasoned perfectly. Fresh fish of day cobia which was blackened and seasoned well Green beans almondine in a light buttery sauce with hits of bacon. (Wish not canned) The crab soup was to die for- sweet and creamy and rich. Fresh large shrimp. Great place. To order Expresso martini to top off a great meal which was smooth. Definitely try this for waterviews and casual atmosphere yet quality service.
google avatar

Tammy L.

Yelp
We are just passing through and saw this place listed on yelp. We always like trying local places and this didn't disappoint. The food and service were delicious. The waitress recommended the crab and so glad she did. We would definitely eat here alot if we lived here!
google avatar

Pat B.

Yelp
Loved our meal. Our server Leah was fabulous. These were some of the most delicious oysters we have ever had! Cold, plump, sizable and briny. The red beans and fried green tomatoes were great. The fried oysters on a Camp Salad were also delicious. Crispy, hot and plump. I love salads and am very picky about the dressing. The Italian dressing they served tasted homemade and was not too oily. Great lunch!
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
We stopped for dinner after touring the ship nearby. We were a little nervous about what kind of place it would be since it doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was very nice on the inside. The service was great and our food was wonderful! I had the crab and shrimp au gratin with a salad and fried green tomatoes for a side. Loved every bite! My boyfriend had the George Major's grilled chicken and he loved it too.

Arroliga S.

Yelp
Had dinner here with my family. The food was okay, but I expected a bit more from the reviews. The service was great, though, and the atmosphere was nice for a family gathering. I'd probably try other places before coming back here, but it wasn't terrible.
google avatar

Yelp
This place was such a great stopover on our way through HWy10 to Florida! We saw it from the highway and decided to stop and try it! It was around 7 pm when we got here and they do reservations for the best tables, so call ahead. We got lucky for a 2 seater by a window. Service was excellent and suuuuper cordial. The atmosphere is family casual but has an overall nice vibe to it. There is a bar with full service to one side and the sit down tables to the other side where we were seated. We first ordered a cup of their famous crab chowder soup and even though it arrived like warm (too bad) it was delicious! We couldn't ask for it to be warmed because we slurped it all. This I got from the previous Yelpers who left their recommendation so thanks guys! Then I ordered the small fry and it came with a very lightly deliciously flavorful fish, 4 shrimp, 4 oysters and 2 little hush puppies! It also comes with 2 sides and I got the grits (it was too cold a day for salad imho) and the Coleslaw (lol) both sides were awesome! I couldn't finish all so I'm taking home (they package it for you!) and will enjoy all this again tomorrow. My partner got the blackened Mahi Mahi with a loaded baked potatoe and a Caesar salad and everything was delicious! What a great stop! We will definitely return if we find ourselves driving around these parts again. Oh wait.., did I mention the awesome bay view and the view of the USS Alabama on the left side windows? Outstanding! Enjoy!

Yelp
What a great experience at Felix's... We were informed that the wait would be approximately 30 minutes for a table so we headed to the bar to have a drink and wait. On the way there a bartender was informing people that tables in the bar area are not reserved and first come first serve. The bartender even called the front desk to cancel our reservation. We grabbed a table along the window with bar stool style chairs. The view was great. After getting our drink order the waitress went into great detail into the special dishes and also the fresh fish available that evening. We started with calamari and a dozen oysters on the half shell. Calamari were lightly breaded and great with a squeeze of lemon. Oysters were fresh, served on ice and had little to no grit. For mains we ordered fried fish and shrimp and fish tacos (which came with a side of crab soup).. everything was fantastic - highly recommend.

Yelp
The restaurant's location and atmosphere were highlights of our visit, but the food failed to impress. Fortunately, the service was exceptional, and the presentation was impressive. Despite the building's unpretentious exterior, the service was a welcome surprise. Unfortunately, the food's quality was inconsistent with the price we paid.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
Nice location in Spanish Fort that offers beautiful views of Mobile Bay. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and specials of the day. The food was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Everyone at our table was happy with their selection. This restaurant offers reservations online, and I was able to reserve a table for a business meeting with no issues. It was great to arrive and have no wait time! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great place for lunch or dinner. Had lunch here with a friend. We both enjoyed the crab soup and the shrimp n grits. I'll make this one of my regular places as I visit this area.

Yelp
Felix's has long been considered one of the most popular restaurants in the Greater Mobile area. Think not? Well try to come eat here with out a reservation for lunch or dinner and most times you'll have to edit for a table. Sometimes a long time.... I had lunch here earlier this week and arrived without a reservation. It would have been a 20-30 minute for a table but fortunately for me there was some room in the bar area which doesn't take reservations. I was able to snag a table there and felt fortunate. I ordered the dinner portion of the crabmeat stuffed fish fillet with two sides. I chose the camp salad and camp brown rice and this meal was priced at $20. The lunch version of the same amount of seafood but with only one side is $16. The salad had artichoke hearts, mixed greens, hearts of palm, tomatoes, celery and their house Italian dressing. It was actually quite good and I'm glad I ordered it. The entree arrived a little later. It was a broiled white fish fillet on top of a bed of crabmeat stuffing with some herbed Alfredo sauce all over it. I enjoyed this part of the meal however it didn't wow me like I thought it would. Good tasting but not great tasting. The camp brown rice also looked rich and hearty with its butter, onions, mushrooms, beef broth and bacon cooked into the rice however it left me with wanting more flavor. Alyson was my server and did a very good job of checking in. This review may sound like I didn't enjoy my meal but I did and would rate it as a 4. It's just that I expected almost a 5 level of experience. I still think Felix's is one of your best upscale dining options while in the area and would be happy to return.

Yelp
We had one day in Mobile. I wanted seafood and southern food. We ended up here based Yelp reviews. The place is a little bit dingy. A little bit dirty. You can see a little bit of the water (if you have a window seat). And the food is a little bit good. Not the best shrimp and grits. Not the best fried green tomatoes. But overall, if you package it all together, I'd give it a 3.5 - 4 stars.
google avatar

Bill N.

Yelp
My Fellow Combat Veterans with Service related issues and Service related Animals. This facility is not Service Dog Friendly. Super disappointing. While we were permitted to walk in, they denied my Service Dog Water.!!! If I could offer negative stars I would. Sad state of affairs here
google avatar

Haley P.

Yelp
The food was overall pretty good. I got the blackened red fish and it was flavorful and tender. Other people at my table got variations of the same thing and all were pleased. Service was good, Mary was our waitress and took good care of us. They had live music playing that was pleasant and laid back, not too loud so that was nice. The only issue I had was when we walked in, they told us they were slow. We asked for a table with a view of the water, and were told those were "reserved". Ok cool. But apparently reserved for the Invisible Man and his family because no one was sat there the entire time we were eating. So if you think you'll come to an "ocean view restaurant" and see an ocean view even when they are slow, you'll be sorely disappointed.

Yelp
This seafood spot is a keeper. Located just off the causeway with a view of the water, this place is sure to tempt your tastebuds. Oysters, crab claws, fish, shrimp, calamari, stack, chicken, and even pork chops make an appearance. We took my mom here for her birthday and they had our reserved table ready. I would definitely recommend making reservations, or you will have a wait. The table unanimously ordered fish and shrimp. The beauty of this dish was that it comes either broiled or fried. My dad had red snapper, and the rest of us had red drum. Both were great. Quick service, tasty food, and a piece of cake for the birthday girl. Our server, Deanna, was top notch. She tended to us like we were VIP. Felix's is definitely a great choice for traditional coastal seafood and a relaxing atmosphere. I will continue to patronize them because of the great food and great customer service.

Yelp
The food was so delicious the rib eye was to die for, the green beans almondine was such a good side dish, the service was so good and nice to everyone, the ambiance was a beachy vibe pretty and had a live music. In all pretty good place to eat plus the mighty Alabama battleship is right over.

Yelp
Felix was a welcome surprise how upscale it felt, compared to some other restaurants on the causeway. We had 2 children's meals, the small Betty plate, red snapper special, and grilled shrimp salad with Rockefeller oysters. The oysters and salad were delicious! cheese grits were yummy. Hush puppies had a bit of a kick to them, with diced jalapeños inside. Donuts were good and key lime pie was great! Beyond the food, Liliana T was exceptional with service. She was very understanding with us having young kids, offering to put their foods in first while we decided, and answered several questions about the menu. She was fantastic!

Yelp
One of my favorite places to come when I'm in the area especially when it's warmer and you can sit outside but Felix is Fishcamp us a go to seafood restaurant here by the battleship. Down under I 10 it sits on the water has fresh seafood, cold beer, nice atmosphere for relaxing and having a great meal. Tonight I did just appetizers with the Aji tuna, and the bang bang shrimp and a cup of turtle soup. All were excellent and great flavors and I sat at the bar where I had fantastic service the entire night never waiting for anything. The food is great, just can't beat the atmosphere, come in and enjoy some seafood. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Walked in ... saw lots of people waiting to be seated! Thankful we made reservation from open table. Hostess' were very friendly. Got seated right away and my request honored. My husband and I ordered catch of the day- snapper and cobia! Food was great with right temperatures, especially for the very thick delicious crab soup. Portions were plenty. Busy but friendly atmosphere. Only 4 star due to my disappointment with my cocktail - swamp thing that's with pineapple juice but I didn't taste the freshness of the juice in my drink. Price for all items was also reasonable especially compared to NOLA. Plan to return to try their turtle soup and mixed oysters on our next trip back from Texas.

Yelp
Food is very good to excellent. If you like seafood... this is your place. It's a touch upscale, but not so much so that you feel under dressed in shorts on a hot Saturday afternoon. The crab soup is top notch. It's incredibly rich & creamy though. If you are counting calories, this ain't a dish for you. I've eaten the same dish at alot of restaurants - this one is the best. I prefer blackened fish, but they also have steaks that are the same quality as their sister company, Ruth's Chris. But don't sleep on the sides. The camp rice and the camp (house) salad are both very tasty. Then there is the service. There isn't any better in the Mobile area. Period. Sometimes I eat here just because I get tired of the typical nonsense at other stops. One of my favorite local spots and maybe the best overall in Mobile.
