"Felix’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar is opening its third location in Lakefront, taking over the former spot of Brisbi’s Lakefront Restaurant & Bar. Felix’s, known for its seafood, will offer a menu similar to its Gulfport location, featuring traditional Bucktown dishes like fried seafood and po-boys." - Alison Baitz

Stopped for quick lunch on the way to the airport. Great service. Beautiful water views. Very good food. Highly recommend. Wish we had known about this earlier in our vacation. The outdoor patios and deck look amazing. I would imagine at night this place lights up.

Add this place to your must-visit list! A few friends and I decided to give Felix’s a try, and it absolutely did not disappoint—I highly recommend it! The staff were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely personable. It’s clear they take pride in their work and the establishment they represent. And the food? Simply amazing. Every dish was bursting with flavor and crafted with care—something as classic as red beans and rice was elevated to a true culinary masterpiece. No exaggeration—the food is top-notch. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening breeze, the sounds of the ocean, and even the passing local traffic, which surprisingly didn’t detract from the experience. I’ll definitely be back—Felix’s has officially made it onto my top 10 list!

Felix’s is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Southern flavors with a great atmosphere. I had the Shrimp and Grits, Blackened Gator Meat, and Chicken Alfredo, and every dish was outstanding. The Shrimp and Grits were perfectly cooked—creamy, flavorful grits paired with tender, well-seasoned shrimp. The sauce tied everything together beautifully. The Blackened Gator Meat was a real standout—spiced just right, with a smoky kick and a firm but juicy texture. If you’ve never tried gator, this is the place to do it! The Chicken Alfredo was rich and creamy, with a generous portion of chicken and perfectly cooked pasta. Beyond the food, the service was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic Southern flavors with great hospitality, Felix’s is the place to go! Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Google
We frequently eat at Felix’s but today was exceptional. The food (oysters, jambalaya, etouffee) was great! The reason we felt compelled to leave a review was because of the absolutely fantastic service we received by our server, Roy. He was so friendly and attentive to every detail. It is not very often that you receive such great service these days so if you are headed to Felix’s ask for Roy!!! He will make sure everything is up to par and you will leave with a smile knowing there are still people working hard for their paycheck and not just expecting a tip for bringing you the food.

When we arrived, we were seated. Our waiter, saw us being seated because he was talking to bartender behind the bar and continued on with his conversation with her for 7 minutes before coming over to take our drink order. This is so unprofessional. The food was great

Felix's has its basis in New Orleans Thomas to the food had that Cajun flavor. We originally decided to go there just because it was on the beach just on the north side of State Route 90. They really do have a nice layout with a patio as well as a balcony outside and a bar. We arrived on the first day after the major snow storm, so there was a slight limit on food, but we got everything that we wanted as tasty as can be. Our waitress Amanda kept an eye on us the whole time and made sure our needs were taken care of and our glasses were full.

Google
Great service, wonderful location with great views of the beach. Loved the openness of the restaurant, not to mention the outdoor bar and porch. Tried their happy hour…. From 3 to 6 pm. On this particular Friday. Oh yes one dollar oysters on the half shell raw or charred broiled on the half shell a dollar and a half each. The charred broiled were chosen. Absolutely delicious melt in your mouth succulent oysters!!!! Service was excellent. Ordered a blue moon on draft. Of course it came with an orange slice. Check out this tasty restaurant on hwy 90 Gulfport today. You won’t be disappointed!!!!!

Google
Sub par! Extremely disappointed! We went with a group of nine for an early dinner. We were seated immediately! Our waitress was wonderful! Our drinks came out as expected! The food was not good. It seemed that is was placed in a warmer for hours. Seven of our nine were disappointed with their order. Maybe it was an off day for this restaurant! We won't be back!

Yelp
Felix's has some of the best grilled oysters on the coast! We did the combo bienville/rockefeller dozen, and the oysters were plump and covered in toppings. I was so impressed because I've felt ripped off at other oyster places around here (hello, Half Shell!) so it was great to see a place cooking them right. We also got the crab dip appetizer, which was creamy and full of flavor. Highly recommended if you want something sharable. For dinner, I had the shrimp poboy which was really good. Nothing super special and you can get them and half the restaurants down here, but it had a good many shrimp and fresh toppings. My wife got the shrimp and grits, which were incredibly good. The grits were plump and well done, and the sauce was excellent. Service was good as we went right before close so it wasn't very busy. Seating is inside and out, so try to sit outside if the weather is agreeable - the beachfront view is wonderful.

Yelp
Erin the manager of Felix gave us second chance to make up for their mistakes. Our first visit was beyond disappointing. No Alligator and the club soda was flat. Our second time and, the Alligator and club soda was paid for by them. That was acceptable and let us know we are valued customers. And we order and paid for another meal too. Things went well. Yes we plan to return. Yes we recommend Felix. We appreciate Erin's thoughtfulness. The only thing I wish they would do is offer bread or a simple side salad after being seated. Empty appetizer plates are a waste of dishes. Thank you.

Yelp
Absolutely love this restaurant, it's a must visit. I love that the don't take reservations - the line is never a crazy wait and they move people quickly. I can't say enough about how kind the staff was - from the front door to the waiters it was a 12/10 service. The food was incredible and drinks even better.

Christine M.

Yelp
The view is amazing! The food is great! The drinks are awesome. And Megan was wonderful today. We enjoyed our lunch on this gorgeous New Year's Eve.

Marquita D.

Yelp
I'm glad we came to this restaurant! The Server was very nice and knowledgeable. I asked her about the most popular Cocktail and she recommended The Hurricane. It was delicious and Strong. We then ordered a dozen Oysters and the Char-Broiled Oysters were so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The best Oysters I ever had. We sat on the Patio and the view of the beach was nice as well. The Beachfront Patio definitely added to the laid-back, beautiful ambiance. Nice!

Janis S.

Yelp
Let's begin with the service. Excellent! Our server was attentive and friendly. She checked in with us frequently and saw to every need. The h facility was nice. You definitely feel like you are at the beach. Clean, white, spare. Very nice. There's even an outdoor eating area, heated for winter time dining. The only problem was the food. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't that good. In truth, the meal started out great, with a nicely done order ofChargrilled Oysters. For dinner ordered the stuffed Blackened Red Fish. The fish was extremely salty, but then the stuffing didn't taste of crab or much of anything else. The sides were the standouts. The cheesy grits were pretty special. Creamy, cheesy, delicious-ness. The mixed vegetables were also very tasted. Although the menu indicated that they were steamed, they actually seemed to be roasted. The addition of tomatoes to the typical mix of squash and onions elevated the steamed vegetables in an unexpectedly pleasing turn. My dining partner ordered the crawfish etoufee. She commented that it tasted burnt and was unable to finish it.

Andi F.

Yelp
Came in because I was starting to feel a bit hangry. Prompt service. I got the fish and shrimp platter, it was very filling. They even gave a refill of my soda to go. Very well lit, friendly employees.

Jeff Walters

Yelp
Overcooked Sysco food. Chicken was over seasoned and dry. Coleslaw straight from the Sysco bucket.

Alison K.

Yelp
AWESOME SERVICE... Meagan... Great food... beach view... had the Cajun trio, crab cakes, char broiled oysters, onion rings... downside I left 30 pounds heavier than I was when I got there... couldn't stop stuffing myself!!!!

G M.

Yelp
Went to Felix's for late lunch, around 3:00. The food was terrible. The service was good. I got the BBQ shrimp, it had a weird smell so I was already concerned but staring eating it anyway- it was awful. We got fried crab claws they tasted like old grease and they were overcooked. The fish was watery and gooey. Just all around terrible food. My son had crawfish etouffe and is currently sick. Won't be back.

Yelp
Felix's is a great place to eat on the coast. There are a lot of mediocre places on the coast that offer fresh seafood with a beach ambiance. I had about given up on trying new places until I finally made it here. Now that I've been a couple of times, I'm happy to report Felix's is great. The Ambiance - For a place on the beach in Mississippi, this place really captures the essence of New Orleans. Even the music is New Orleans through and through and if you're like me, you may find yourself whistling Big Chief while you dine. The service - The servers were friendly both times I've visited. When it's crowded service can be a little slow but that is to be expected. The food - The food is great. From bacon and jalapeño chargrilled oysters, shrimp poboys, shrimp tacos, and much more, the menu is solid. The food has always been fresh and prepared well. On my recent visit I had shrimp tacos and oysters and both were delicious. If you're on the MS Gulf Coast and looking for a very good meal, you should probably add Felix's to your list.

Chad S.

Yelp
The Chargrilled Oysters were great. Wonderful location and Megan provided wonderful service

Nicole S.

Yelp
Food is great! Oysters are even better. They even run the oysters on special for Happy hour Monday thru Friday from 3 till 6. Raw are only $1 each and their chargrilled oysters are only $1.50! You can't find a better deal I always feel I'm on vacation in a tropical paradise when I listen to their live music they have outside Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Last but not least, I've always encountered the friendliest servers. This time around I want to shout out to Libby!! I'll be back

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Food and service were amazing! We hade the barbecue shrimp and raw oysters. Megan is a wonderful server! Sit outside, the view is gorgeous!

Just A.

Yelp
Service was lacking. We had to find the manager too many times bc we couldn't find our waitress. Told her the bill was split and she brought it as one check. 4 out of 6 plates we had to send back. Crab cakes tasted spoiled. Burger was burned. Two steaks were too tough to eat. At least the ambience was nice as we sat on the patio and watched the beach. Overall, not really worth the price when the only food that was edible was the fried food.

Yelp
I think I may have reviewed this a few years ago. I didn't give it a very good review. But I've been here twice int the last 6 weeks. I had an out of town guest who wanted to drive to New Orleans and go to Felix's. I said why drive there is one right down t.he road. We went for brunch and everything was delicious. Shrimp and grits, charbroiled oysters, And roast beef poor boy not to mention bottomless mimosas! YUMMY. So to make sure it wasn't a fluke my husband went back for late lunch today. Yup delicious service was great Amanda the server was attentive and very friendly. They young men in the back sorry I didn't get their names but my husband left a camera and they put it in the office for him and it was safe. Thank you guys not only good but honest too

Sandra K.

Yelp
Kennedy and her trainee, Bailey, were stellar! We had the charbroiled oysters were AMAZING. Had the seafood salad and this worked perfectly with a special dietary plan I'm on. Everyone loved their dishes. Thankfully, we had an early dinner, caught happy hour and went downstairs just before Bradley Jones started performing! He's AMAZING! As a fellow musician we even shared music info. He's a super cool, approachable person and very talented musician. Then, there's Megan. She's as approachable friendly bar tender and takes very good care of her patrons.

Lee M.

Yelp
Char grilled oysters were great! Service not so much... Gumbo was good, red beans and rice tasty. BUT the biggest complaint was the order of onion rings we ordered to share, $8 for 5 rings!

Amanda T.

Yelp
Great customer service, nice dining, and great food options. However when I ordered the estouffle crawfish the rice that came with my order was a bit hard / gave an old taste. The shrimp in the jambalaya pasta I ordered were smaller maybe it was bay shrimp? Unsure. However the food tasted good, the oysters were really great. Had a great dinner overall just the quality of food was ok, overall taste was really good.

Cynthia R.

Yelp
Amanda was outstanding. Friendly and attentive. Great service and great food! The grilled redfish and veggies were seasoned well. Gumbo good.

Alex's Crazy A.

Yelp
The food was Great, the drinks were COLD, and our server(Megan) was AWESOME!! Come by and let Megan take care of you! The live band was the best!

Paulette K.

Yelp
Went to Felix's today, 1st people to show. Our server ( Tabitha) was wonderful and attentive. My husband ordered turtle soup ( outstanding ) he said and a dozen oysters. I ordered snow crabs , corn boiled potatoes and wine. Everything was good, however our gracious server had to let me know potatoes were still to hard ( not a problem) and delivered corn which chef probably nuked! . All in all ALL good because of our server, but if chef doesn't have his meals on menu ready, he/she can be your downfall! Greg & Paulette Kergosien

Neil W.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Best oysters I have ever had. The star of the entire operation is DJ. He was shucking awesome! I will be back over and over. The Bayou sampler and soup trio were also spot on.

Eileen B.

Yelp
We were waiting for our room to be ready and we stopped here for a couple drinks. The bloody Mary's were terrific with olives and green beans. The menu looked fantastic and we are going back to try it We sat on the deck and enjoyed the ocean breeze

Lora P.

Yelp
Fried shrimp hush puppies were good. The char oysters were really good. The gumbo to be honest was horrible. Very bland. Service was OK. Our server never really came around. We had to ask other waitresses to take our plates off the table. But overall, I would come back the outdoor patio atmosphere is nice. I love that you can also bring your animals.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Really good seafood. The fish wasn't soily and tasted really clean. Their drink selection could definitely be better.

Jessica O.

Yelp
Good lunch for a good price. I heard they have happy hour every day from 3pm to 5pm if I am not mistaken and raw oysters are at $1 each Does anyone know if they do the same thing at the lakeview location?

Joche' H.

Yelp
We dined in at Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar with a party of 7 for dinner around 8 PM. There was a short wait, but we were able to be seated inside per our request. There was an option to dine on their upstairs patio outside or inside and we opted for inside. It was warm inside the restaurant and a bit humid. We sat near the bar and the patio area. We started with water and a few appetizers and they were all good. The water had an unpleasant aftertaste. My favorites apps were the crab dip and fried gator. However, the crab cake was also delicious and my son liked the calamari. For entree, I decided on the jambalaya pasta and a Caesar salad. The pasta was well seasoned and I liked it and the salad was also good (it had a house made dressing too, which was served on the side). My son had the kid's burger with fries and said it was dry, but ate it once they brought out the toppings that we requested (tomato, pickle, onion, lettuce, mayo and mustard). They initially served the kids burger with just a bun, so be sure to ask if your kids like toppings. My husband opted for the turtle soup with a Caesar salad and mentioned that it was salty. My mother in law ordered the red fish entree with crispy Brussels sprouts and they burned the Brussels sprouts, but she LOVED the fish and veggies. My brother in law did not like the seafood gumbo entree & his girlfriend tried the sampler and did not like the Crawfish Étouffée in her Bayou Sampler. Overall, the meal was pleasant and the items that were not good did not ruin our experience. I would definitely recommend ordering any of the appetizers that we tried, jambalaya pasta or redfish entree. The ladies restroom was also clean. I would give them a chance again, when in the area.

Shea G.

Yelp
Wonderful Food! I had the crab stuffed fish and it was amazing. My sides were potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The service was great. We had a wonderful server named Sam. Everything was cooked perfect. The outside area was fun with a live band.

Alexis B.

Yelp
The food here is great and always fresh. Customer service was very satisfactory and helpful, especially our waitress, Ruby. She did a great job and served us in a timely manner!!

Dannon T.

Yelp
Wanted to try this place with my wife. What a disappointment it was. The food was the most bland food I've had. We sat outside, which was ok. Service was great but our wine tasted as if it was watered down. Server replaced with a different brand. The shrimp looked like a Walmart frozen shrimp and my fish dish was grilled over black rice. Had zero seasoning on it. We also had crab cakes and they were ok but not cooked enough. No crust to them and very mushy. Sorry but spent over 100 bucks and won't be back for sure. I did explain this all to the waiter and left her a good tip for the service.

Mary A.

Yelp
Happy hour $1.50 grilled and $1 oysters. Can't beat it. Service was amazing. Great views of the Gulf. Plenty of seating.

Michelle C.

Yelp
The food is phenomenal! I had the sampler gumbo and fish tacos! The seafood snow crab legs were spiced perfectly!

Athena C.

Yelp
Amanda (the server) is the best!!! Crab claws and chargrilled oysters were amazing. Awesome happy hour specials too. Would definitely come back!

Nathan S.

Yelp
Friendly service. The oysters and the view are very nice. We had a nice waitress named Chrissy. The manager on duty was very attentive too.

Heather H.

Yelp
Jayci was great!! We came for Happy Hour and it was amazing! $1.50 char grilled oysters and 50% off draft beer 3 PM to 6 PM. Fantastic deal!

Beth B.

Yelp
Underwhelming. Not much else I can say. Fried pickle were the best thing. Serve was great though!

Tanya C.

Yelp
i really enjoyed the rooftop view and the cold beer. service was good and the food is average or below. we had grilled oysters that were okay but i expected more from an "oyster bar". seafood gumbo was bland and had VERY LITTLE seafood. so little that i actually had one popcorn shrimp in my cup. my mom had a bowl and said she had three popcorn shrimp. fish and shrimp tacos weren't much better with very little flavor. go and have a drink, but don't stay to dine.

Robin J.

Yelp
We had a party of ten. It was about 45 minutes from the first person being served to the last getting his food. Plates were sent out a few at a time throughout that time frame. It was ridiculous. The food was okay, not delicious and certainly not worth the wait.

Dennise H.

Yelp
Stopped by for a small bite to eat after driving for 9 hours. We ordered a cup of soup: seafood gumbo and 6 count charbroiled oysters. The service was very quick and our soup was literally tiny. About 3 ounces of gumbo for $8.99. I couldn't believe the price. Soup was okay. The oysters were seasoned well and charred great but very tiny. I guess tonight was a night of tiny, because our servings were. I will definitely try something else to give a proper review next time.

Alexis B.

Yelp
This was truly a great visit! We dined in on a Friday around 4PM. There was no wait and we decided to eat outside. We were a party of 4(and a high chair). I was worried that the tables would be too high for the high chair but they have High hi-chairs and low ones so it worked perfectly! Our waitress was great! She was very attentive, had a great Personality and was able to tell us about the menu. We started off with the crab dip and alligator bites! They came out fresh and hot! The portion sizes were pretty small but they were good. The adults ordered margaritas and they too were delicious! At the time, chargrilled oysters were $1.50/oyster so we got a dozen of those! They were so yummy and fresh!! I want more as I'm typing this review! For our entrees we got the seafood platter, the shrimp and fish platter and the blackened red fish with Brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries! We all left nothing on our plates! All the food was so good!!! For 2 appetizers, 6 margaritas, a fountain drink, a dozen oysters, and 4 entrees, our tab was about $250. Very reasonable. Would def recommend

Tim S.

Yelp
Absolutely over the top!!!!! Great Alligator and great Seafood Gumbo!!!!! Great atmosphere!!! Best Royal Reds on the Coast!!!!!

Genevieve F.

Yelp
So good! I was meeting family in Gulfport, Mississippi and my daughter suggested this place. My word, am I happy she did. First of all, the view is gorgeous. We day on the deck and looked at the lovely beach. Second, the food was good. The oysters were superb, fresh, not dirty, and large. I didn't need sauce or lemon or horseradish or ANYTHING! They were perfection by themself, Then we ordered fried calamari and fried crab fingers. They appeared to be freshly made, because several pieces of the calamari had the purple color from a real squid. Also, they were cooked perfectly. This is the best calamari I've had in years. The crab fingers were also good, I got the soup sampler, which is an espresso sized cup with a serving of seafood gumbo, artichoke and oyster soup, and turtle soup. The turtle soup was served with a little hard boiled egg and was my last favorite of them. It was hearty and almost like a stew. The seafood gumbo was the soup version of gumbo but the seafood flavor was distinct and the pieces of seafood were copious. The oyster ands artichoke soup was a crab soup and was absolutely my favorite. I also ordered a watermelon margarita and it was perfect - not too sweet and not too tart. Lovely. There was live music playing and they were great.

Ray H.

Yelp
Can't get large orders right. Delivered to wrong tables. Disappearing servers. Disappointing.

Rebecca D.

Yelp
We had a lovely time thanks to our server Chrissy. She was knowledgeable and friendly and the seafood gumbo was amazing! Will be coming back.

Dominique B.

Yelp
We came to Gulfport for a relaxing weekend and we decided on dinner at Felix's and it did not disappoint. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Our server, Chrissy, was wonderful and so were the other staff we interacted with. We def will be coming back. (Had the gumbo ya yay, char-grilled oysters with the shrimp and mushroom cream sauce on the side, bbq shrimp, and the filet with new potatoes and drinks... EVERYTHING was amazing) 10/10

Cheryl M.

Yelp
Great food and great service!! Chris really took care of us with quick service and great recommendations. 10/10 highly recommend!!

Tarah H.

Yelp
Too expensive for the food taste and quality. It was good but not "I can't wait to go back!" good. I do recommend the spinach crab dip. That was tasty.

Nina T.

Yelp
I want to love this place because it's so close to our home- atmosphere is great, service is fine (mediocre but nothing to complain about) but the food is on par with a dive bar that didn't pass inspection. Everything is fried, over priced and tastes expired. I've been here four times and have never had good food. We met with friends last week to listen to music and I had horrible stomach issues after eating oysters. Unfortunately my husband made plans to return to listen to music last night and I refused to eat dinner. I ordered a slice of key lime pie ($9) and the size was laughable but tasted fine. My husband on the other hand has been throwing up for 12 hours now and it's no coincidence that I was sick after eating there last week. We will probably return to listen to music and enjoy the beach scenery but neither of us will eat there again.
