I enjoyed dining here with co-workers after a work event that I went back for my last meal in Salt Lake City before I left! The food and atmosphere were incredible! Elisabeth was my server on my second visit, and she was amazing. Also, having the opportunity to speak to the chef and the manager? owner? as well was great. I was ahead of the dinner rush since my stomach was on Eastern Time, but holy cow, this place is amazing. When I had been before, two of the ladies had the French Onion soup and said it was the best they had ever had. I decided to try it, and they were not lying! The chef said that he came up with the recipe after having a terrible version of it somewhere else. I'm glad it was bad enough to inspire his wonderful creation! After that, I had the Roasted Beet salad, another home run. They have a wonderful selection of drinks, the Forest from their current special offerings list and the Campfire Old Fashioned, both were amazing! When I had been there earlier, I had also had the White Negroni, which was good, but the bourbon drinks were more my style. Also on my previous visit, we had all shared small plates, and everything we tried was delicious! The almonds and olives, the salmon belly tartare, the filet & marrow tartare, the torched sablefish, the mushrooms with corn polenta, Korean baby back ribs, charred brussels and truffle fries were all amazing. Go enjoy yourself with some friends, this is a great place!
