The 23 Best Restaurants In Salt Lake City - Salt Lake City - The Infatuation

"This newcomer moved into the historic Felt Building on lively Main Street, adding another bar food option near popular White Horse and Whiskey Street. And whether you’re looking to have just a few bites and a cocktail or a full-fledged meal, Felt delivers. The raw bar’s robust menu includes fresh oysters, torched sablefish, tuna tataki, and a can’t-miss asian pear sashimi. And while Felt’s desserts are great, we prefer their boozy ice cream cocktails. Before you bring the kids, take note: you must be 21+ to come inside, even if you’re just there to drink the banging mocktails." - jenny willden

This place is crushing it. From the best cocktail design we've seen in years to a well curated menu of items. The french onion soup, shrimp & grits, and Nashville chicken sandwich were all stellar. Perfectly balanced and having a new unique riff on originals. The blood orange creme brulee was the perfect finish. Finally, a creme brulee that was chilled and smooth. Excellent restaurant with fantastic service.

Google
Felt is such a well run, well executed bar/restaurant. The food is unique, flavorful, and fun. The wine selection is always so much better than other restaurants in SLC. Last night we got the pretzel bites- always a solid choice, shrimp ceviche, and swordfish. Highly highly recommend the swordfish. It was so fresh, well seasoned, and garnished. Not pictured, but a must get- the Brussel sprouts! So crisp and flavorful. The still Rose is the best wine I’ve had in a long time. Come check out this incredible place! Pictured- the one and only Chef Herbert!

Food was average - elk burger with fries didn't taste any different than a regular burger. French onion soup was very good. Cocktails were good and service was excellent.

Google
First time at Felt Bar & Eatery and we enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. The Korean BBQ Ribs are delicious and so are the Pretzel Bites. Mac n Cheese was not bad but that Lobster Roll was absolutely delicious! Togarashi Chicken with Gnocchi was great as well. You have to end the night with the cookies and milk for nostalgia, as for the flavor- I liked the hint of orange but I think I’m just a cookie snob because these cookies were too cake like for me. Didn’t have that crisp around the edges BUT they were still tasty! The downside for me was the service, waitress was nice but she took a while to refill our drinks or forgot to get items we asked for like an extra napkin. We had to wait a long time in between. Also, I ordered a Shirley Temple and unfortunately it was the worst Shirley Temple I’ve ever had. I don’t even know if they put the grenadine in there. It was very bitter. Overall, if you’re into a more upscale bar scene with good food and a good atmosphere this is the place for you.

Google
I got the short rib grilled cheese and it was amazing! Although there was some arugula or other green inside the grilled cheese that i didnt need in there. The only reason it wasnt 5 stars. The cocktails and beer selection are also great.

Google
What a great place! Upscale food and drinks while being laid back and not at all pretentious. We shared several small plates. Our favorite was the octopus with the beet pickled eggs being a close second. The citrus bacon mignonette for the oysters was also out of this world and a stellar happy hour deal. Highly recommend the Siesta cocktail. Can’t wait to go back and make this our go-to place before any downtown events!

Google
This was such a fun vibe! I ordered the grilled Caesar, truffle fries, and the Porn Star Martini. Delicious food, yummy drinks, great service, and amazing location!

Google
Cool spot in SLC! The cocktails were on point. All the raw dishes we had were yummy. The ribs were under seasoned though and the ravioli which sounded good was just OK and came out cold. I'd def go back to try some other dishes.

Yelp
I felt this place!!! Felt is absolutely meeting my expectations - whereas most establishments in SLC are not. Their menu is Devine - it's diverse enough, the ingredients have great quality and freshness, and the taste is all there! The alcohol menu is phenomenal. I love trying new cocktails and they're mixing up unique blends to offer small twists on classics and things your pallet hasn't experienced before. I didn't get a picture of everything unfortunately but here's what we tried: Cocktails- The Auckland, pisco sour, marrakesh, honey bunches, and a white Negroni with mezcal (not listed on the menu). Every single one was delicious and a fan favorite! Food- *baja Crudo - very good. If you order it make sure to get each bite with a blueberry in it. Part of me wishes the blueberry would have cone in a small drizzle sauce form. *Koren Style BBQ Ribs - also very good. I feel like this is a more common menu item around the SLC valley though so next time I go I will try something else vs ordering again. *Beet Pickled Eggs - my group was mixed on the level of pickling the actual egg had. But what really makes this snack is the beet puree. It has a slight tang of spice at the end. The spice is manageable for everyone's heat level and it's what really elevates these hard boiled eggs/ pickled eggs. *Short Rib Stroganoff - I have seen (and tried) couple other restaurants along I-15 corridor with a stroganoff on their menus. This one is my favorite so far. I'm typically not a mushroom girly but these are the kinds I will devour. All of the ingredients are paired and put together wonderfully here. *Togarashi Chicken - I wanted to lick my plate clean. The chicken has this delicately crisps skin on it that is very impressive. I liked to break up the chicken and yam gnocchi into smaller pieces so that every bitch could include all the flavors of this dish. The pesto here is not over powering either. I also couldn't help but wonder what this dish would taste like if they mixed the pesto with hints of wasabi for any of the spicy gurus out there. If Felt reads this and just gives it a try - please tell me how it goes.

Yelp
This was my first time here and the vibes were great, fun atmosphere, friendly service, and creative, well-made cocktails. The food was flavorful and enjoyable at the time, and I genuinely wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, I became VERY sick later that night with what appeared to be food poisoning, which overshadowed what would have been a strong first impression. We shared the pretzels, oysters, burger, ribs, and chocolate cake. The only dish I ate that my husband did not was the shrimp and grits, which I wanted to note for awareness. I'm hopeful this was an isolated incident, but wanted to share an honest experience.

Yelp
Service was nice... ambiance okay. However, food at this price point should be at a much higher bar. Burrata was boring. The tomatoes were not ripe whatsoever. We quite literally could not cut into them. Every single thing was incredibly salty. The lobster ravioli was super tough. Scallops were incredibly chewy. We wanted to really like this place based on the reviews, but it might just be some of the worst food we've had in a very long time. We didn't complain, but definitely let our waitress know about the tomato dish as we could not eat it. She didn't offer to comp or seem concerned that we weren't able to eat any of our meal. There are definitely other fantastic places in the area for the price point and you won't leave feeling hungry.

Yelp
We went to here for date night, and they blew us away with amazing service, cocktails, and food. This definitely has a bar ambience--a bit loud but not too bad. We made reservations ahead of time, and had a beautiful booth waiting for us. Our server was super attentive and paced our meal well. We started with a few $17 cocktails--the Dublin, Ireland and Auckland, New Zealand. This is a bit on the pricey side for cocktails, but they were artfully crafted and worth the money. We had the Grilled Caesar as our appetizer, which was one of my favorite salads ever. Sadly they were out of the Tuna Carpaccio so we didn't get to try that. For entrees, I had the 7oz Filet Mignon, which was cooked perfectly and the sauce and potatoes were delicious accompaniments. My husband had the Elk Burger and ranked it one of the best burgers he's ever had. We paired the entrees with a Pisco Sour and one of the drink specials. The missing appetizer was a blessing in disguise as we finally had room for dessert and enjoyed a Cappuccino Crème Brûlée, which was flavorful and a wonderful end to the meal. The price came in around $180 before tip, and it was well worth the high price tag. We'll be back to try more!

Yelp
Ambiance: romantic, low lit, modern interior. I love a dimly lit space so long as I can still read the menu, which I could Service: was helpful and attentive. Our server helped me pair a menu mock tail with the right alcohol and it was excellent Food: I will think about the tarragon aioli on my chicken sandwich for awhile. We loved our burger and sandwich, but the marrow tartare was not my favorite. Given it was served in a bone, we had to pick a small piece or two of bone out of our food. I prefer an easier eating experience over presentation.

Yelp
Came here for late night happy hour (after 9PM) where there is great deals on drinks and bites. We tried the pretzel bites which were chewy and delicious. Wished it came with traditional mustard sauce though. The burger was on the happy hour menu and was juicy with lots of toppings and crispy fries. The French onion soup was also very good. The vibe was cool and slightly dark interior made it a really fun nighttime spot. Service was quick and very helpful.

Yelp
Came with 3 other foodie friends to celebrate the end of the work week. Felt has been bookmarked on Yelp for a long time and it was the perfect excuse to finally go since white horse and whiskey street were affected by the fires a few weeks ago. Hoping the food would be similar to the other bars on the same street, I was in for a surprise. Pickled eggs- EXTREMELY salty and not in that vinegar way. It is worse than ocean water drowning the egg and the arugula. The egg was also overcooked which was gross. Mac n cheese - not enough cheese. Very dry. I wanted more sauce and hated that it was penne pasta. I should've asked prior to ordering so this was my fault. Shrimp n grits - it was good but I wanted more grits. Very small portion for the price. Sausage was overcooked and it was pretty dry. Elk burger - overcooked and burnt. My boyfriend asked for it to be pink and they ended up burning the burger and bun. They replaced the bun, but they didn't offer to remake the patty, even though he wasn't happy with the burnt taste. The fries were good though. Ravioli - it tasted undercooked? The pasta was still hard and not in the Al dente way. It was also very sweet which made me not like it. My friend said it was his favorite of the night. Pretzel bites - the pretzel bread were good, but I'm not a fan of beer cheese so I didn't like it. Disappointed with the taste of food and service. Most likely not coming back.

Yelp
The food and drinks were amazing! More upscale, enjoyed the vibes. I seriously wanted to try everything on the menu. Their drink selection is so creative--truly one-of-a-kind options you won't find anywhere else. They serve raw oysters, which are hard to come by and were fresh and delicious. Even the fries and brussel sprouts , which are usually just a simple side, were flavorful and satisfying. Every detail hit the mark! The people there are fun and inviting. We sat at the bar for a few hours and it was a blast. The restaurant is somewhat small for groups so reserve in advance so you're not waiting. A perfect amount is maybe a group of 4-6 people but I'm sure they can try to make room.

Yelp
Felt is a VIBE, but I'd still give it 3 stars. The server recommended the elk burger (some say it's the best in Utah) but it was just okay for me. The meat came out overcooked, so with a better temp it might've been great. Fries tasted slightly stale. Everyone at our table felt their food was just okay too. The service was good, and the atmosphere is super cool. I'll be back to try more of the menu, but I wouldn't order the elk burger again.

Yelp
Great food! Ambiance: Dark and intimate. There's a bar in the middle with seating and surrounding tables. We had a reservation but it didn't seem too crowded for a Saturday night. Service: Friendly and quick! Food: Somehow made it to the tail end of happy hour on food from 4-6pm. We got the pretzel bites, burger, torched sablefish, wagyu & frites, and then the cookies and milk. Everything was delicious, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The sablefish and wagyu specifically were standouts. For drinks, we got one of the chefs specials (Christmas in brooklyn), mango coco and the can I kick it. They were all delicious with very different profiles. There are definitely some interesting and innovative cocktails here! Overall, was really impressed and will def be back!!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. We ordered (get ready) and shared amongst the six of us: Raw Bar *Filet & Marrow Tartare *Asian Pear Sashimi Shareables *Grilled Chicken Wings *Jumbo Lump Crabcakes *Shrimp & Grits *Korean Style BBQ Baby Back Ribs *Caputo's Burrata Sandwiches *Lobster Roll Large Plates *Togarashi Chicken *Akaroa New Zealand Salmon Sides *Mac n' Cheese *Charred Brussels *An order of truffle fries and another order of regular fries Desserts *Cookies & Milk *Blood Orange Crème Brûlée Drinks *Seasonal flip *Good Morning Sunshine *Affrogato-Tini *Charred Cider *Shirley Temple (NA) *Pistachio Punch (NA) It's hard to not go into a deep dive review for every single item we ordered but overall, everything was exceptional. The tartare was a favorite as well as the shrimp & grits. The chicken came with this lovely gnocchi / pesto sauce and the salmon was a melt-in-your-mouth experience that was divine. The mac n' cheese is just... a velvety sumptuous affair and the fries will be gone within the first ten minutes of landing on the table (I've heard people comment how these are the best fries they've had and I can confirm that this is a very much valid comment). The fries WILL come out crispy and will stay crispy. Don't pass on dessert because the cookies & milk is a nostalgic treat and more - it's an unexpected star on the dessert menu. The orange zest is a great compliment to the chocolate in the cookie and the milk comes with actual cookie bits in it. The brûlée was delicious as well. Felt is known for their creative alcoholic and NA drinks and I recommend.. pretty much anything on the menu. Felt's version of the flip cocktail was excellent and I loveeeed the pistachio punch (made with house made pistachio orgeat). Not even a year old, Felt has already made its mark on the local dining scene and for good reason. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant for both locals and out-of-state visitors as well.

Yelp
My sister and I came here for a girls night out and we had a fantastic time!! The place gets busy so if you want a table make a reservation but we were happy to sit at the bar. They serve the full menu there as well. The staff were all friendly and answered all of our questions. Here's what we got: Drinks: - this was a let down for my sister she ordered a Diet Coke and wasn't told before that it would be a can not fountain so not the best. I ordered a mocktail called Garden Party and loved it. The flavors were fantastic! Food: I ordered their wings and a side of fries. The wings were SPICY so be warned. The flavor was great but my lips were definitely experiencing a slow burn sensation. The fries were decent but definitely needed more salt. My sister ordered a burger, their Mac and cheese, and their Brussel sprouts. She said that the burger was excellent and it had a great flavor. The Mac and cheese was average. Good but nothing to really crave again. The Brussel sprouts were really good my only note for them would be to add some bacon or something to compliment the flavor. All in all this place was a ton of fun and we would come again!

Yelp
Excellent experience at a downtown restaurant. Great customer service and ambiance. Our group enjoyed two appetizers that included Hatch green chili and scallops and main dishes of Wagyu and frites. Great menu for alcoholic drinks too.

Yelp
We were in town Thursday, Friday, and part of Saturday. Discovered this place Thursday and had amazing cocktails. I had a classic old fashion which was perfectly balanced. Good enough I had two. My son went for the pornstar which I did taste and not going to lie, I considered ordering again. We weren't hungry but decided to have the pretzel bite, really good. Fast forward to Friday and we decide to go back and have dinner. I started with the old fashion (yes it was that good) and my son returned to the pornstar but then we tired so other cocktails on the menu and I would say you can't go wrong with anything. My son ordered the pub burger which he completely ate including the fries. Their fry sauce is really good. I went for the short rib grilled cheese with a salad. The short rib grilled cheese was beyond delicious. Even the salad was very flavorful. I would 1000% order it again. Now let's talk about about the staff in the bar. Very professional and friendly. The young man with long hair took great care of us and he is a true bar tender. We 100% returned because of him. The cocktails he made for us were just amazing. We also had a young lady with blond hair who was super nice and helpful that made us some amazing Spritz cocktails for our desert. This is our new favorite place in Salt Lake to have a great cocktail and food.

Yelp
Sat at the bar and ordered a few things. Grilled ceaser with bacon was delicious... however I would recommend they at least cut the romaine in half, the flimsy butter knife and small plate made It near impossible to enjoy without creating a mess. Great flavor profile though. The crème brûlée was a 4/5, great potential but something was missing. The smoked strawberry was a pleasant surprise

Richard M.

Yelp
Amazing experience at Felt Bar and Eatery! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, served with au gratin potatoes, followed by an incredible cappuccino crème brulee. Drinks are top-notch- perfect for a holiday cocktail. Travis and his employees were very attentive, professional and had wonderfully welcoming personalities. Cozy, casual atmosphere but don't be fooled by the "bar" name- the food is outstanding. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Yelp
I was excited to finally get the opportunity to check this place out! Right in the heart of downtown, and the space is large. The ambiance is more upscale, and there's a bar in the center and tables around the perimeter of the space. We were tempted by their happy hour sign and popped in on a Saturday. We were there around 4, and they had a happy hour snacks menu and I ordered their pretzel bites, which were delicious. Definitely an elevated pretzel bite with rosemary and good seasoning. They have an extensive drink menu and unique drink options. I just ordered my go to, an aperol spritz, but am interested in trying out other drinks. We didn't have the best service here - the bartender wasn't particularly warm or friendly, and the service actually cut our visit shorter than we anticipated. I'd definitely be interested in coming back here, but we were definitely thrown off by a less than stellar service experience.
google avatar

Ashley J.

Yelp
Ambiance here is really cool. Cocktails were delicious and so was the food. I got the short rib grilled cheese sandwich, oysters, and Brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious and the bartender made great recommendations on beverages. If you like something more on the sweeter side, go with the "porn star"

Yelp
We enjoyed our tasty dinner at Felt. We sat at the bar. Cocktails were delicious. We had the shrimp ceviche, onion soup, elk burger & crunch cake. A must try when in Salt Lake City.

Yelp
Stopped by for Happy Hour and really enjoyed it. Ambiance was great, really low key and modern, the girlfriend and I had a really comfortable time dining here! Our waiter was great as well, he knew when to come by and when to let us stay in our conversation and the kitchen sent out everything one after another which was great. Really appreciate the service provided here! The food was really a big hit or just meh with nothing in between. We started with sablefish which was my favorite item of the night. The fish was divine, melted like butter, I really enjoyed the yuzu ponzu, mango miso, and my girlfriend loved the cucumber wasabi sauce. Next we got the ribs which was way too salty, with the ribs being very tough, which was disappointing. However the miso-corn souffle was killer, I could have eaten several of those. Lastly we had the pub burger and I loved how smoky the beef patty was along with the candied bacon, which just paired perfectly with the bacon jam, fried onions, and butter lettuce. Then again, the fries ended up being way too salty. So food definitely has some quality control issues, but Felt offers up some amazing flavors. Lastly, girlfriend got the Saturn, which she really liked, as she never had a gin drink that tasted like that before, she found the flavors really interesting, and I had the most perfectly poured Guinness. We will definitely be back to try some other items!

Yelp
Upon entering, the lighting and music have created the perfect ambiance for a night out that makes you feel fancy. The staff were so kind and welcoming as we took our seats at the bar. We started with the Coco Mango and Whiskey Sour drinks. The drinks were presented SO beautifully and came out quickly. Flavors were great and house cocktails were unique. We got an appetizer of pretzel bites that came with the most DELICIOUS cheese beer. The pretzels were cooked to perfection and I wish I had more cheese to dip. I got a French Onion soup that came topped with cheese breads on top. The soup was extremely flavorful and definitely packed a punch. I got a fried chicken sandwich while my boyfriend got a grilled cheese panini. Plating on both meals were beautiful and colorful, I appreciated the color that different parts of each meal added but also that flavors blended well. We shared a side of the mac n' cheese, I cannot explain in words how amazing it was. The pasta was perfect and the cheese was a gouda, textures were great and accompanied by great flavors. We finished out evening with the blood orange crème brûlée. AMAZING. The flavor was so delicious and packed in every bite. It was such a refreshing dessert after a savory dinner. I highly recommend Felt Bar & Eatery ! Truly a gem of SLC.

Yelp
I went to Felt for a friend's birthday dinner and it was something else! I ordered the caesar salad with grilled chicken and it was so good. We had the orange chocolate chip cookies and they tasted like an orange. If that's your thing, try it out. Besides that, it was a great experience.

Yelp
Came here for a friends birthday for some drinks and ordered a few small plates while here! I really enjoyed the grilled Caesar with chicken and bacon. The bacon was divine. Truly everything was delicious and a cute spot for the occasion. The servers brought our drinks out quick and the food was also brought out within a good time. The ribs are sweet and slightly spicy and so yummy. I definitely recommend this place for some small bites and yummy drinks. I ordered the porn star martini which was sweet just how I like my drinks.

Yelp
Wow, we only came in for drinks and oysters when we were waiting for our table elsewhere, so we sat at the bar, which had such a nice, upbeat and quiet atmosphere. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and it was not so over crowded we had any wait. But we were blown away! I really wish we would've had dinner here instead. Their drinks were the best I've had in a while. One of their bartenders came up with this delicious Banana Hammock cocktail which had peanuts, marshmallow, and banana rum, and he also came up with the amazing Marrakesh Express, which by the ingredients sounds peculiar but he promised me I'd like it or he'd buy it. I loved that drink so much I wanted to eat the ice cube!! It has a watermelon rind ice cube with watermelon, olive oil, tequila, and mint tea in the drink. Fantastic. He definitely has a talent and management is awesome for supporting his creations and adding them to the menu! The oysters were fabulous and their sauces were unique and delicious. The oysters came from B.C. and were so good with the bacon mignonette. I highly recommend coming here for drinks and oysters, and we are sure to come for dinner soon!!

Yelp
Ambiance and service was great. Food was well below expectation. Wings were rubbery, burrata had weak bread and hard tomatoes. To her credit, the server did comp the wings and burrata. Given it was 9:30pm I really just wanted some good food, not a refund. I won't be back.

Yelp
Walked in on a weekday evening, for dinner. It was pretty dead but the menu and decor looked very promising. Sat for ten plus minutes while the host hung at the bar with the bartender, while the same bartender hung on her boyfriend and another staff member sat there hanging out as well. We were literally next to the bar and couldn't them to even ask us if we wanted to order a drink. After about 15 minutes we left the menus on the table and got up and went next door to White Horse. I now understand why the place is dead.

Yelp
Fun hip place with a great menu. Today I had the mushroom tartar and mushroom and polenta and my friend had the French onion soup and fried chicken congee. The polenta and shrooms - astounding. The tartar was good. Friend said the soup was amazing and the chicken was great but he was turned off by some ingredient in the congee and had wished for less of it... But what stole the show and what would cajole me back if ever in Utah was the truffle fries. Hands down best I've had in a decade - and I'm a fry eater.

Yelp
Amazing food, very unique and delicious. Drinks are also so good. Staff is friendly and personable

Yelp
This was a fun new restaurant downtown, it was a little bit more casual than we were expecting. Both the vibe and the wait staff. I thought the pricing was really good and it seemed pretty laid-back. We had a couple items off of their happy hour menu, which is from 4 to 6 and really enjoyed the food. Seemed like a great value and a fun place to grab food and drinks

Yelp
We tried this place on a whim while walking by. We had Elizabeth as our waitress and she was awesome. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Much more so than the host that looked and acted like a bouncer. The lobster roll was really good. I've seen some complaints about it but I don't get the complaints. This isn't subway don't expect a $5 foot long. Great selection of drinks. The outside seating was really nice on a 70 degree day. We will be back next time in SLC.

Yelp
I went here on a recommendation, and it did not disappoint. Felt feels like a neighborhood bar, like you would find in New York, but upscale. The music was playlists from the waitstaff, and not too loud like you find in other spots. I went several times; on my first trip I tried a few craft cocktails that had names like Forest and Ocean. The Ocean actually had a sea salt foam on it, and they were both fantastic. I also had the rib appetizer and beet pickled eggs. They were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. I came back a few days later, they were updating the menu for fall flavors. I was the first to order the chicken chassuer. Let me tell you, I had a moment, I was transported back to my childhood in the mountains of PA at grandma's house for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The dish revived so many memories; it brought a tear to my eye. That has never happened to me before with food. I did not want it to end so I ate very slowly enjoying every single bite. The Fall flavors that were lovingly and skillfully put in this dish, fantastic. I wish I had taken a photo, but I did get a picture the second trip ordering it. The Service I received from Josh and Ethan and Avery, friendly, and they were very knowledgeable with the menu. Also spoke to the owners, Richard and Travis were super nice guys with a great spot to hang out at. Go to Felt. Try everything.

Yelp
Wow, such a great first experience at Felt! We came here for guest chef Cisco Garcia-Garza's pop up event. The specialty menu was delicious. They had appetizers, entrees, and this phenomenal dessert. Our server was Grace, who was helping on the floor tonight. She normally is behind the bar and gave excellent drink recommendations. Cocktails had so much dimension and flavor. We honestly booked reservations for later this week. Can't wait to come back! Thank you!

Yelp
I walked into this place when the restaurant I wanted to go to was on an extended wait. I sat at the bar and ordered a mocktail and some dinner. Their drink menu was expansive and as was their food selection. The bartender was helpful in facilitating the food order because I couldn't decide. I ended up with the Caesar salad with chicken and candied bacon and the polenta with mushrooms. The good- portion sizes were large and the flavors creative. I enjoyed trying something you couldn't get just anywhere. The mushrooms were cooked fabulously and the basil oil was a nice touch. On the Caesar the addition of candied bacon made it unique. The not so good - something on the Caesar was charred and wilted some of the lettuce. There was also something spicy that was overpowering in the dish. My takeaway is I would definitely come back but probably wouldn't order the same things again. Give this place a try!

Yelp
Right off the bat the cleanliness was a pleasant surprise . This area of downtown has a lot of really old and dark bars and eateries, which is fine to grab a drink with a bud but not if you want to eat. The staff was all very friendly and professional another positive sign that we went to a good place. One of the first things I always check before ordering food is to check the bathroom. I was again impressed with very clean amenities with made me very comfortable. The food was top notch from presentation to value and especially flavor. Could not recommend more to anyone looking for a casual dinning great value and exception service.

Yelp
Recently opened on Main Street, Felt adds a great touch to the strip, offering a versatile menu and an awesome cocktail list! I'm excited to see how they grow and would love to see more live music/DJs here! It's a large space that has a lot of potential for success in the nightlife scene. I've been here about 4 times now and everything I've tried has been delicious. Service has been a bit slow but I'm understanding as it's a newer spot getting their feet on the ground.

Yelp
How does this place get 4.5 stars?? The most expensive and most underwhelming dining experience I've ever had in SLC. $120 for a salad, lobster roll sandwich, and "tartare" appetizer plus one draft Guinness and glass of wine. Insanity. The lobster roll was a 6" bun with a very small amount of lobster meat and some sad looking potato chips...that's it. It was like an appetizer at best but was mostly bread and chips. The Caesar salad was $20 for a small wedge of lettuce and maybe 3oz of chicken. The tartare was terrible and doesn't even warrant a description. We left still hungry and flummoxed that we dropped $135 with tip for some bar snacks (and not even very good ones at that). The place has decent ambiance and was packed when we were there, so maybe others have different price/value expectations. To me, this was a $40 meal marked up 300% I suppose to be on Main Street. The SLC food scene is getting better but is still hit or miss in many new restaurants, and this one clearly falls into the latter category.

Yelp
Super cute place! Loved the decor it was beautiful inside. This is a good spot downtown to grab some drinks and food. The staff members were friendly and gave good recommendations. I believe it was Joseph who was our waiter and he was great! Food prices varied if you were getting any seafood it was more but that seems typical everywhere. Ceviche was good, it was not your typical ceviche that I'm used to but I did love the twist it had to it. I got the grilled cheese panini and I liked it but just thought it was okay! It was a little sweet for me. Only downside to our experience was there was some rude customer who hocked a loogie straight onto the floor and we saw it all happen. Told staff and they just kinda seemed to laugh it off and cleaned but I still thought it was gross of costumer to do that. Overall super cute spot! If you are looking for a new place to eat and enjoy some drinks give this place a try!

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner with some colleagues and ordered a burger. It was delicious and the fries were amazing. The bacon on the burger was good enough to order on its own. Friendly waitress and great service. There were five people in our group and everyone enjoyed their dishes. Great mixed drinks as well.

Yelp
Service was quick and helpful. Food was amazing! My husband had a venison hot dog that was on special for the week and he loved it so much he came back the next day to get it again for lunch.

Yelp
Phenomenal food and impeccable service. They also had some extremely creative and delicious cocktails. The Banana Hammock was SO good and a must try for anyone who likes peanut butter. The Star Boy was by far my favorite, it's super refreshing and not too boozy. They had some super tasty truffle fries and pretzel bites. The octopus ceviche was super flavorful and a must try item. My favorite part of the meal was the shrimp and grits. I have been chasing the flavorful taste of NOLA shrimp and grits for a while now and Felt delivers. The most flavorful shrimp and perfectly cheesy grits-possibly the best I have ever tasted in Utah. So stoked about this place and can't wait to bring all my friends.

Yelp
as someone who is hard to impress i have been here a few times & never once left disappointed. everyone is always kind and the service is great. best fries, pisco sour is to die for, and the wagyu NY strip is definitely one of my fav steaks in SLC. i also really appreciate their seasonal menu, theres always something new to try. its also just cute in there, great place to sit at the bar and work with a laptop and have a drink. this is a repeat spot for me.

Yelp
I've officially found my replacement for my "favorite burger in SLC". I was so sad when Copper Kitchen in Holladay closed and I have been looking for a new fav burger that's "worth it" ever since. I finally found it at Felt Bar & Eatery. The burger, the sauces, the peppered candied bacon and fried onions paired with some of the crispiest fries I've had in town? YUM. Staff was great. Drinks were delicious. Restaurant was nicely designed and it was a low key vibe. If you haven't checked this spot out yet, give it a shot!

Yelp
Great drink selection & small outdoor patio. Paper plane & glass of Albariño were the perfect night cap. Great addition to the string of bars down the road.

Yelp
Ordered a drink, and they never brought mine. Was first to order, and they never brought but had brought everyone else's. I canceled and they did not comp it. Dong recommend for drinks. Apparently drink was taken to another table.

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite places to eat in Utah. The food was amazing. We went with a big party and we were trying all of each other's food, so I had a taste of a lot of different plates. Everything was delicious, highly recommend coming here.

Yelp
When I spend $100 on dinner, I expect my $20 fried chicken sandwich to at least compete with Chick-fil-A. Sadly, Felt's version tasted like it lost that competition in the first round. And the $12 pretzel bites? They couldn't even outshine a frozen Super Pretzel, which, frankly, is offensive to pretzels everywhere. But wait, there's more! Not only was the food overpriced and lackluster, but the server also forgot my order. I ended up waiting so long that I was 20 minutes late to my show at the Eccles. Maybe they were too busy figuring out how to make a pretzel taste this sad. If you're considering Felt, save yourself the trouble. Just lick a puddle, throw your money in the trash, and take a slap to the face you'll still have a better experience.
