How Pandemic Boredom Inspired Dallas Pop-Up Inusan Onigiri | Eater Dallas

"A popular boba shop that serves as a regular venue for rotating food pop-ups; cited as a host location for recent events (mentions include Addison and a spot on Lower Greenville) where customers pick up preordered items from visiting vendors." - Amy McCarthy

Google
Door dashed from here, and it literally says 125% sweetness. how come I tasted it and there’s no flavor? I’m not sure how to ask for a refund on the app but it’s really upsetting. I had to throw the whole drink out.

Ariel W.

Google
I first found this spot in my home town & now continually crave it!! Being I work in Dallas, looked on the apps to see if there was one here & I STRUCK GOLD!!! I ordered an extra one for the next day. So happy!!

Litzy F.

Google
Ive came here recently each week on the mornings and ive received the best customer service from I believe her name is Izabell she’s super sweet has explained the menu multiple times suggesting new drinks to try. I love it!!

Google
All the drinks I received today is like half/ not full. Given the already lost cost ingredients of these drinks it’s very disappointing

Google
This place is worth the hype and SO HAPPY there is finally one in Dallas! We were there for the soft opening and it was delicious. We got the dirty Boba and taro breeze and loved it. The cheese foam is incredible. We also had the chance to meet the owners and they were super sweet. Go and drink and be happy.

Google
Stopped by Saturday afternoon upon my niece request. We love Boba and since we were in the area, we decided to stop. We had their super delicious dirty boba and Thai milk tea. We sat in their cute lobby as we waited because it was like 100° outside! Boba was good, we'll be back if we're back in the area (:

Google
Feng Cha is a great place for tea lovers. I would highly recommend chrysanthemum honey ginger milk (served hot) for people fond of milk tea. This drink closely resembles Indian tea in taste. I had also ordered Mango Au Lait with boba and would suggest not to add extra sugar to the drink. The total bill for both these items was $11.53.

Google
Loved it! The bubble tea was the right amount of sweet for me. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming! Only problem was it was a but small at the entrance, where everyone was waiting. The service was a bit…confusing? They don’t ask for a name or give you a order number, they just say what food/drinks were on the order. Nice boba overall. Cool decor.

Yelp
Oreo Crumble Milk Tea Not bad at all but somehow felt slightly watered down and bland after a few sips. Cute shop though with some fun couch seating
google avatar

Yelp
The quality of bubble tea at feng cha is perfect. Not too sweet, not too watered down, and just the right amount of ice/coldness. The store itself is small, clean, and homey. When you enter the establishment, there are two kiosks for you to self order from. I like that its self serve but it didn't give me a number after I tapped no receipt needed. So I was left to guess which one my order was. The staff were friendly, nice, and helpful. Though, they were very disorganized and slow. The wait for the drinks was borderline too long but when I took a sip of the drink I was reassured the wait was worth it. Def going to be my new favorite bubble tea spot when I'm in the area!

Yelp
I ordered a lychee oolong tea with boba and aloe, 25% sweet. The drink was not very sweet and this is better than being too sweet. The drink was refreshing and delicious. The 2 girls were very nice, inside was clean and they had a crane machine. I would recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little shop with a few tables and chairs but most people tend to take their drink togo. There are two tablet orders and 1 register so ordering is very easy and quick. Drinks come out fairly quick too and you can grab everything you need like napkins and straws at pickup. The drinks were consistent to other locations and delicious! My favorite drink here has to be the Creme Bruele milk tea!

Yelp
Solid boba tea! We got the tarot milk tea and thought it was great. Would come back and try more flavors.
google avatar

Kate M.

Yelp
Quick service. There's street parking but may be difficult during the weekend or nights. Solid boba - chewy, sweet. Hit the spot. Got the taro milk tea which was a thick drink (as expected) with plenty of taro flavor. Delish. 50% was plenty for me. Milk tea was good. Basic. It could use some more tea flavor but that's just me. They have embellished milk teas so maybe those are more popular? Solid, reliable boba shop. Can't go wrong here.
google avatar

Julianna S.

Yelp
Every time I come here the tea is unflavored. I order 200% sweetness every time and never has it been flavorful. I order the same drink at the Arlington or Hrabd Prarie location and it's perfect. This location sucks and shouldn't exist. I hate coming here, I'd rather drive 35+ minutes to Arlington.
google avatar

Sami E.

Yelp
The drinks are always great, but they take forever to make them. There are chairs and tables stacked in the corner, so it's not a place to sit and enjoy your drink.
google avatar

Bladimir M.

Yelp
Very busy location but amazing drinks as always!! The mango au lait is my favorite, and it never disappoints. It's creamy, fruity, refreshing, and sweet. I add crystal boba and it's a great match. The store is pretty small with limited seating ; about 4 tables with 2 chairs each. It's located on a very busy street with a ton of other restaurants and shops and bars!! There was a market going on on the same street, so lots of people. Parking was super hard. All the spots in front of the shop were taken, and we couldn't find a lot for feng cha customers. The lots behind were for other stores. But we parked there temporarily and weren't towed thankfully.
google avatar

Matthew F.

Yelp
Vietnamese coffee was excellent! Quick and easy service on an iPad and friendly staff.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Feng cha offers fast and easy boba tea for you to enjoy. They have all of your favorites plus many more from milk tea, classics, hot, and smoothies. The ordering process is easy to do everything through a kiosk. Service was easy, quick, and friendly. Definitely a place I would go back to.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Value: 4/5 ---- My favorite local boba shop in Dallas proper. I'm an old grandma by now so I do have to gripe about the difficult parking at times in the area since Lower Greenville is always popping, but the staff here are friendly and the boba is delicious. I do wish they were open later too, selfishly, but I bet they also wish that were the case. Overall, no complaints, so thankful they're close to me!
google avatar

Luz C.

Yelp
This spot was great! I was super impressed with the boba to tea ratio in my Rose Oolong tea. It was pretty sweet tho, I'd opt for 50% sweetness next time. There was only one person in front of me in line so the service was pretty fast. I decided to go here to get some work done and for the most part it was chill and east to work. It's a super small café on Lower Greenville so it can get loud (make sure to bring headphones).
google avatar

Adithya B.

Yelp
SoCal Resident visiting Texas here. I was craving oolong milk tea but had no where to go, I saw this spot and tried it out. You are able to adjust sweetness ( I got 25%), milk level (I definitely asked for more tea and milk), and ice level. My cashier/barista knew what I was craving and made my drink herself, despite it being an average level of busy. With this type of hospitality, professionalism, and convenience, everything exceeded my expectations of a boba-run in Texas. Places to sit and cute artwork so if you're on the search for boba and don't know where to go, this is a nice spot, I recommend parking at the nearby dirt lot

Joshus H.

Yelp
Drinks are great if you can wait 20 minutes. Long time to wait for boba. No apology for wait and no customer interaction. I would have given higher stars if they would have just interacted.

Sherell E.

Yelp
Nice place! Cedar Hill needed more variety and Feng Cha is definitely the one! Great service, friendly staff and the Mango green tea with mango boba was divine! I went the next day and had the green apple green tea and the dirty milk boba tea!! I love this place! Keep up the good work!
google avatar

Zohabe B.

Yelp
Some of the best boba I've had. Creamy with big flavors and great tapioca. I understand why it's a local favorite!
google avatar

Sunny K.

Yelp
I'll definitely be back! This store is located directly off of Greenville Avenue so parking might be an issue but it's worth a little walk. They have a lot of options, the cafe is cute, the customer service is great and most importantly, they have yummy boba tea. I ordered the grapefruit tea and the kiwi basil tea. I also like the fact that they asked me about the ice and sugar level. Like I said, I'll be back.
google avatar

Aiko K.

Yelp
Sadly I'm not the biggest fan of Feng Cha anymore and it doesn't help that this location closes at peak dinner hours BUT a point for being one of the only accessible boba shops in the area. Service is usually great but again, not the biggest fan of their boba drinks. I do like their jasmine green apple drink though!
google avatar

Generous Y.

Yelp
I love the drinks here, but man I can't get behind the boba. It's slightly chewy but not really bouncy. In addition to that, it's completely flavorless. Would help to marinate it a bit in honey, sugar, or anything else. Thus it's pretty average at 3. Creme brulee and dirty boba are some of the best brown sugar and sweet dessert-like drinks I've had, but the toppings hold it back. The ratio between the sweetness and creaminess is great and they mix cleanly to create that caramelly, Hokkaido milk tea taste. I'd rather have firmer boba if it had some sustenance and flavor because otherwise I'm just chewing to get my jaw moving, it's really senseless. I'd opt for other toppings if I revisit, likely grass jelly or crystal boba as those are very standard and impossible to do wrong.

Anastasiya S.

Yelp
Delicious boba, great selection, small cute place, easy to order via app or machine at the store itself. We didn't have to wait more than 5-7 minutes
google avatar

Tonya W.

Yelp
Fun drinks! Cool cute little spot for drinks! Drink orders are a little wait but worth it. My son loves boba so much Fun for gatherings Kid friendly & family

Taylor O.

Yelp
The drink was on the sweeter side but i thought it was delicious. I wanna come back and try the mango fantasy!
google avatar

Cat N.

Yelp
This is the worst run feng Cha. I frequent three locations, this one takes forever. I order ahead on the app so it can be ready when I go pick it up. Tell me why even when I give them 15 mins ahead of time, my drink is still not ready and I always have to wait Atleast 5-10 mins extra when I select this location. Food is consistent with everywhere else but just SLOWWWW. Fix it please! I'm on lunch break, I can't waste half of my lunch time on one drink
google avatar

Katherine H.

Yelp
So happy to have a Feng Cha located on Greenville! The interior is clean and nicely decorated, and the drinks are superb! Definitely hold up to Feng Cha's reputation for fresh brewed teas (and now coffees). Favorites: coffee milk tea, and if you like almond joy candy you have to try the coconut coffee latte. The cakes are super fluffy and very delicate. The customer service and owner Nam are super nice. Definitely stop by this Feng Cha location for some drinks and dessert!
google avatar

Erica H.

Yelp
Delicious! Had the kiwi basil green tea with crystal boba and it was great! Easy ordering process.
google avatar

Dianna D.

Yelp
Solid fruit boba. I tried both the seasonal dragonfruit 4 seasons tea and kiwi basil green tea. The dragonfruit was a little underwhelming mainly because the fruit and tea by themselves are pretty bland. I added lychee jellies to enhance the flavor a bit. The kiwi basil green tea was excellent, and would order it again. Perfect flavor balance of the fruit with green tea. Wish I had something like that at our boba stores in California! The staff there were patient while we looked at the menu for the first time. Once we had an order the drinks came out quickly. Lovely spot in the downtown Greenville area!

Mia E G.

Yelp
This boba place is amazing i love the drinks here and the workers are really nice and welcoming. I highly recommend you to try it out!

Yelp
Before i start i want everyone who looks at this review to PLEASE CHECK YOUR LIDS BEFORE SHAKING. After being recommended Feng Cha several times, i decided to finally check it out ! Place was small but very tidy inside despite having so many people. I ordered the Creme Brûlée Dirty Boba online and it was supposed to be ready by 6:15 but when i arrived i was told they had ran out of boba and were making more. It would be a 20 minute wait. Originally i was going to give it 4 stars but then i tried to shake my boba and half of my entire drink ended up on my lap, in my seats and all over my window. All because the lid was the incorrect size. It didn't even stick onto the cup, my drink still wasn't mixed up so here i am with half of my drink gone and the syrup at the bottom of the cup because i couldn't mix it. I tried stirring it, i even tried blowing into the straw and it still wouldn't mix together. Sure it was okay but it would've been better if i could've drank it the way it was intended to be drank. I am so mad because all i wanted after a long stressful day was some boba and i get half of that, a ruined outfit, a sticky car and sadness. Thanks Feng Cha in Greenville.

Yelp
I love this place the ambiance and service of the restaurant was super fire. I found myself in Dallas for 2 days for my birthday and I went to this spot both days even Tho it was out of the way. I got the Overflowing Dragonfruit with mango popping bubbles and would definitely recommend.

Tehya C.

Yelp
Fantastic drinks, efficient service. I prefer the order screens so I can make any drink modifications. Would recommend any location

Yelp
This place has cute vibes! The decorations are very instagramable! Just a nice place to hang out especially at the very end, where they have lower seating areas! The drinks are always to the point, you can customize it according to your liking (which is a must). My all time favorite is the dirty boba with crème brûlée. I have also liked the passion fruit with lychee, Citrus lord, strawberry overload, overflowing grapefruit, kiwi basil and all of them were great. They always customize it to my liking so it always turns out great. Only few I didn't like (which I usually do at other boba places) was the dirty cafe latte! It tasted like dirt! Never ordered it again! And the mango au lait, it has less mango but over powering raw milk smell! Also do try the dessert, they are good as well, my fav is the tiramisu treasure!
google avatar

Patrick A.

Yelp
One of the best boba places I've been to in Dallas! Great and friendly staff, great location on Lowest Greenville. They've got one size on the menu (probably equivalent to a large at other places). Other than that, pretty customizable (sweetness, ice, toppings). We both had the taro milk tea which was phenomenal. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

U A.

Yelp
The dirty taro is a fav! It's made with the actual taro root so it's not too sweet and has some texture which I love l!
google avatar

Ben N.

Yelp
Feng Cha is great! It's nice that you can order super quickly with their kiosks and the boba never disappoints. Definitely a place that I come to regularly with friends!
google avatar

Niki P.

Yelp
The first time I actually had boba was at Feng Cha on Saint Pattys day. The owner served me the best brown sugar boba ever!! today was so sad. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the drink when I got it - I asked for brown sugar boba extra brown sugar and extra Boba... when we got the drinks I even asked if this was right bc the drink was WHITE nothing like I had gotten in the past or pictures posted - there was what seemed to also b an unreasonable less amount of boba. Now the 2nd drink was also wrong ..was not supposed to have boba and it did. Not a biggy but not the point ....
google avatar

Yuki I.

Yelp
I'm so excited that we now have a delicious boba place nearby! I got their matcha breeze boba and matcha love dessert. They can't adjust the sweetness on the matcha breeze, but it's not too sweet. Great consistency on the boba, chewy and sweet. The matcha cake was super fluffy, covered in matcha dressing, which was light and foamy. Also comes with 2 matcha pocky sticks, super cute! They've got small chairs and tables to sit and chill if you want. Cute place, I will certainly be back!
google avatar

Roma B.

Yelp
Ordered the creme brûlée dirty boba, taro milk tea, and oreo cheese milk tea. The creme brûlée dirty boba had many layers. The top was a salty warm cream layer with burnt crisp pieces, the middle was the "dirty" part with brown sugar sweetness, and the bottom was boba (great texture) mixed with syrup. The taro milk tea was better than other places I've tried, flavor was subtle and not too overwhelming. Also ordered the oreo cheese milk tea which had the similar layering as the creme brûlée, but was lighter.
google avatar

Lily C.

Yelp
This boba tea is as good as the boba tea in Taiwan. I got the large taro milk bubble tea with 75% sweetness. I highly recommend it. Price is comparable to a Starbucks drink.
google avatar

Han C.

Yelp
Love Feng Cha and over the moon that they are finally in Dallas! The Kiwi Basil green tea is delicious - refreshing for the hot Texas summer and not too sweet. The boba at every Feng Cha, including this one, has been consistently fresh and bouncy. Such a great addition to Lower Greenville!
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
We've been here a few times, and are glad there is a good boba shop in the area! The oolong milk tea is always our go-to choice at any tea store. I've had better, but we still like it here. We'd love it to have more tea flavor! It's also not the best boba, but still solid and fulfills our pearl cravings. Also tried their hot ginger milk tea. WOW. Okay guys. If you like ginger, GET THIS. It is so satisfying. I'm drooling thinking about it as I write this review. The coffee milk tea is the same rec as the oolong. Would like more tea than milky flavor. But it is still yummy! We're west coast 626 boba-ers, and for those who know what that means, you'll understand why we didn't give this place 5 stars. But we still like it and will be back!
google avatar

I'Keanna B.

Yelp
BEST MATCHA I'VE EVER TASTED!!! I'm a HUGE Matcha drinker and I know the difference between quality vs cheap tasting Matcha. This location definitely uses the ceremonial grade. The boba is also really fresh as well, nothing crumbly or tough about it. The ambience upon arrival was perfect: chill music, vibrant colors, and easy to read menus (it had a good flow of organization pretty much). I can't forget to brag on the staff as well, very nice group of people!!!
google avatar

Chandrell S.

Yelp
Fresh drinks with flavors that do not taste artificial. Boba is sweet and soft and a slightly chewy. I love that the drinks taste homemade. Drinks come out fast and great customer service.
google avatar

Htikhu O.

Yelp
You will not get a water down flavorless drink here. Anytime I can, I go here to spoil myself with a good drink. My favorite is the Thai milk tea with boba!
google avatar

Alexis A.

Yelp
This was nicely boba tea location. Beautifully designed with some seating in the back of the restaurant. Feng Cha is in Lower Greenville. I remember when Greenville used to be full of bars and nightclubs. The Tea here is good, and I like that you are able to customize your order from the sweetness to the amount of ice in your drink. This place is a great addition to Greenville.
google avatar

Kathy L.

Yelp
Surprisingly good. Not sure why I wasn't expecting much, but I really enjoyed my iced matcha latte and their boba is nice and chewy. I'm sure we'll be back for our boba fix since this is the closest (and best) option near us.
google avatar

Remy V.

Yelp
I thought this was such a cute little spot on the strip in Greenville. There's a really nice looking mural painted on the inside if you're an Instagram junkie like myself. I'm a Kung Fu Tea kinda girl when it comes to boba, but I had to check this place out to see if it was comparable. They don't have as much of a variety as I would've liked but I tried the Oolong just to be on the safe side - cuz it's pretty hard to mess that up. There was no wait and the person making my tea was very fast. I probably waited one minute total and I thought that was awesome! I love the containers the boba comes in - I'm honestly not sure if the cup is plastic or not but it looks like they spent good money and presentation means a lot to me. Taste wise - I would give this place a 7/10. I can't put my finger on it but the flavor just was giving what I wanted it to. It still was above average though and on a hot day like today it was still refreshing. After trying this place I think I'll stay loyal to Kung Fu, but my experience here was very good!
google avatar

Katrina N.

Yelp
Love this place! Wish they can open one in my home town! We always visit this place every time we're in town and it never disappoints!
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
I got their matcha breeze with crystal boba. They were out of the regular tapioca boba so I opted for the crystal boba. It was a clear, jelly like consistency and rather chewy. I still prefer the regular boba. The drink wasn't as good as the first time I had it -- the cheese foam had no flavor! Not sure what went wrong, but I would still come back.
