"Grab a burger at Fern Street Wine Bar and Kitchen in Rosemary Square in downtown West Palm for a hyper-local farm-to-table burger. Using beef and pork from its ranch in nearby Okeechobee, Florida, the Rancher’s Reserve Burger, priced slightly higher than your typical burger, is made with beef from Japanese Akaushi cows and topped with pork belly, cowboy tallow, onion marmalade, and cheddar on a brioche bun." - J. Yelp
Worthy of a 5 but just not there yet because the meals are very tasty and well made. Every dish has a well thought out balance that makes for a great experience. Some of the best fried rice I've ever had. Poached plum desert that is delicate and subtle that doesn't leave you overly full. Service is quality and ambience is well made. Now the negative and why it cannot be a 5. The wait time for the meals to come out was unacceptable. 45-50 Minute for the first appetizer to come out and like 30 minutes later the main dish. The restaurant was not packed so not sure what the excuse was. Lastly, the bathroom was not pleasant. Not sure if it was someone recently so no one had the time to clean up, but it was unacceptable for a place I am spending $500 on date night.

Yelp
First time at this wine bar, and thoroughly enjoyed both the wine and the food!! One of the best restaurants in WPB. We sat at the bar (full service), and Sergio was our waiter (he was super nice!!). It's pretty cool to sit and watch them preparing a lot of the food in front of you, and the wood fire oven in the center is a nice touch. You also have the option to sit outside, or at a table in the actual restaurant. Ambiance is 10/10. For appetizers we ordered the "Farm Board", the poke stack, and the squash blossoms. The Farm Board consisted of 4 cheeses (the blue cheese and homemade ricotta were my favorite!!!), honeycomb, apricot and fig jam, mini carrots and grapes, mustard, and 4 meats (2 smoked and cured in house), bread and crackers. I thought the board was delicious, only recommendation would be MORE cheese!! Felt like too small of an amount. The squash blossoms were stuffed with goat cheese and jalapenos, with honeycomb on top. They were lightly battered (chef is GREAT with the flash fryer; difficult to master) and the flavor profile was amazing. Some of the best squash blossoms I've ever had. The poke stack was fresh cobia, tempura rice (again, deep fried to perfection), avocado, cucumber, wakame, hoisin, and chipotle aioli. Thought the flavors blended together well, and the smaller 2 stacks off the happy hour menu were plenty for 2 people. For dinner we ordered one of the cuts of meat for the night, the sirloin (3 different steaks to choose from). The steak was thin, sliced, and covered in chimichurri sauce; it was tender, juicy, and seasoned-well. Only critique was we ordered medium rare, and the VERY center piece may have been the correct temp, but the outer pieces were a little over cooked. The restaurant sources all of its ingredients locally, and the meat (beef and pork) is from their own ranch, Rancher's Reserve (antibiotic and hormone free). Daily happy hour from 4-7 pm (small bites & drinks), including weekends, BOGO oysters on Tuesdays, and half off ALL wine bottles on Wednesdays!! Can't wait to return here; absolutely loved it!!

Yelp
Outstanding place - easy some of the best food in the West Palm Beach area, with an incredible wine menu to match. We have been here a few times, and everything has been 10/10. We always sit at the bar and have either a bottle of wine or a few glasses, and a few appetizers. (They have such a fun, unique menu with lots of local options). We love the chef's table experience - and the fact that the server is always the chef and knows all about the ingredients they use in their restaurant. They get their meats from a local farmer about 30 minutes away and is of the utmost quality. The ambiance itself is really cool, it has a farm to table feel mixed with a funky trendy 'where the cool kids go' coffee shop feel. The staff here have all been extremely friendly. The offer events from time to time here too - like wine pairings. It's a bit similar to the Beacon in Jupiter if you're from the area. I love sitting at the kitchen and chatting up the chef about the menu selections, their personal favorites, how they cook certain items the way they do, and where their source of inspiration comes from!

Yelp
Came by for mothers day brunch. The flavors of the food were great and our waitress was very nice. While the food tasted good, many orders of eggs Benny came out with overcooked eggs and cooler accessories, showcasing poor management of food timing/running. Additional notes of poor operational prowess included serving brunch but offering no juice on the menu (only have enough for mimosas per the waitress), offering soda but not diet soda, and offering no other non alcoholic choices, not even lemonade! They also ran out of bread prior to noon and took nearly two hrs to serve our table food from time of order. The restaurant also had poor ventilation, or at least that's what I think it is. From the time we sat until well after we left my eyes were burning like I had sat in a room of smoke. I'm not terribly sensitive to stuff like this so they just really must have an issue as I had tears streaming down my face! If this place does takeout, that might be a good option to taste the flavors the chef has imagined without subjecting your party to the limited experience this team has in running a functional restaurant. Last thing, food was reasonably priced but be sure to check your receipt. We found their computer system "accidentally" double charged us for everything on the bill, I wonder how many people don't look closely...

Yelp
The food was very good. The live painting by my artist friend Tony Hernandez made the space come alive. And the service was great.

Madison S.

Yelp
This place is wonderful, my mom and I came for happy hour on Friday (we had reservations but if you came before 6:30 you could have easily found a table) all of the staff members were incredibly friendly. The happy hour menu is amazing - wine is 1/2 offf and a ton of apps to pick from (my mom and I shared 5 apps which was way too many, they are very good portion sizes). The food was excellent - not a single bad dish, but is highly recommend the pork sliders as well as the Brussel sprouts.

Yelp
If you want fresh, delicious food, great vibes and amazing service, make your way to Fern Street Wine Bar and Kitchen! This was my second time dining with friends and it did not disappoint! Rosa was our server and she was not only cheerful and friendly but knowledgeable about the menu and provided wonderful recommendations. Chris, one of the owners, was visible throughout the restaurant and took the time to make sure we were having the best time. He even treated us with lemon drops shots for our table. My cousins, out of town friends, and I really enjoyed our dining experience at Fern Street and will definitely return! I highly recommend!!!

Yelp
I was looking to have a pleasant happy hour just before heading to the Kravis Center and Fern Street Kitchen was the winner! Their happy hour is 4pm to 7pm and 9pm to 11pm. Perfect timing! I loved the fact that the location isn't in the busiest area in downtown but rather on one of the side streets making it much easier and faster to find parking. The location is quite spacious with a fabulous outdoor area, as well as indoor and bar. The service was quick, friendly, and overall absolutely pleasant! On to the food! We ordered some wine, oysters, the Wagyu tartare, tuna saku, and finally the cannoli for dessert. All really well plated, full flavors, and the best bite was the tartare for sure! That alone kept me wanting to have more!

Misty P.

Yelp
The concierge at my hotel recommended Fern Street when I asked for an oyster recommendation. She did not miss the mark. The oysters were perfect. We also had the tomahawk steak, salad, corn and carrots. 10/10 best food in West Palm. The service was impeccable. The manager obviously loves his job.

Coy M.

Yelp
Very good food and the service was great! I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the WPB area. Farm to table as well!

Victoria Y.

Yelp
I can't say enough amazing things about this place: The staff was warm and friendly. Rosa took great care of us. Every dish was more amazing than the next. I couldn't believe how delicious the heirloom mushroom dish was. A symphony of flavors. We also enjoyed the fresh oysters and steak tartare for sharing. Our entree of the Cobia in a light curry sauce with mashed purple sweet potatoes was heavenly with each bite. And Cody explaining the methodology behind the cooking techniques really elevated the whole experience. I can't wait to return!

Kayleigh V.

Yelp
My friend secured a reservation at Fern Street for New Year's Eve dinner, and it was a delightful experience overall. The waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, the music and ambience were chic and fun. The farm-to-table concept intrigued me, especially as I tried the charcuterie half board for appetizers--well-executed with a variety of flavors. For the main course, I opted for the seafood risotto, appreciating its unique presentation but found it lacking creaminess and seasoning. My friend ordered the short rib with sweet potato mash; although the flavors were good, the rib wasn't tender enough, possibly under-braised. Unfortunately, the long wait for cold food was a downside. Despite these critiques, I'd return for the atmosphere and the excellent wine paired with the charcuterie board, though the main entrees didn't quite justify their price.

Yelp
Fern Street Kitchen is one of, if not the best restaurant I've eaten at in West Palm Beach. They are experimental with flavors and it works well. The owner really seems to care deeply about his customers and the environment is extremely cozy, clean, and welcoming. I'll be a returning customer and encourage others to check it out. Your taste buds will thank you.

Sireesha R.

Yelp
Truly so good. The vibe is laid back but the food is delicious. We went for dinner but the happy hour specials were still there so we tried a few different things - everything was stellar, incisive the service. Please try it and keep it open because it's delicious.

Dominique M.

Yelp
Spent happy hour here with a girlfriend. Half off wine glasses, is always a vibe. I ordered the bolognese for my entree. Presentation was gorgeous, however, flavor was not a key take away from this dish. Very bland and sauce was missing some key elements. Ricotta was nice but the portion size was very small. I would return for drink specials because the food is not the highlight here.

Yelp
We have been here twice now and have had great meals. Our first visit was fantastic because our server made our experience memorable. She knew the menu like the back of her hand and took great care of us. The second visit was fine but the server wasn't as attentive. The menu was completely different the second time, which we can appreciate but it seemed like everything we loved was removed with nothing replacing the items, resulting in a smaller menu. The first night was absolutely fantastic. The ceviche was so fresh and flavorful, the Brie melted perfectly on the warmed bread, and our steaks were some of the best we have ever had. The second night was still great but we didn't love it as much as the first visit. The outdoor patio is a great use of space where I assume an alley between the buildings used to exist. Now it's an inviting, multi-level dining area and patio. The interior of the restaurant was modern with bright artwork around the walls. Overall, a great, quiet option that's away from the busy square. The menu is clearly changing daily with some of the freshest ingredients available. The story of the owners starting their own ranch to create their own beef is fantastic.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant. Food quality is superb! Service is impeccable. I've been here three or 4 times already and I've never had a bad meal here Generous portions! Delicious farm to table seasonal food! I recommend the ceviche, clams, Milanese and grilled shrimp They have an amazing wine selection and don't overlook their desert menu. I think this place should be packed every night! They're chocolate ganache cake is divine!! It's cozy and Intimate with an open kitchen perfect for a date night! Come here is your looking for amazing high quality food and Great services. I normally sit at the bar and have gotten little bites of food compliments to the chef. They are really a hidden gem!

Yelp
Apparently budget cuts have ushered out Chef Patrick Baker, one of South Florida's most talented chefs, and brought back the mediocre chef that launched this place. Gone are the beautiful dishes, and amazing flavor parings. In? Crappy rice cakes that looked like something that you'd find at the dives on Eastern Clematis. Spongy and covered in easy fats that mask poor cuisine. The dish with six highly overpriced clams in a thick fatty sauce that looks like a grey lagoon. Gone are the fresh oysters. The restaurant is moving soon, because they're putting up another skyscraper on the site. If they think that dumping chef Patrick's menu that will keep the island crowd coming for their pricey steaks that would frequent their new Flamingo Park digs, in favor of cuisine that is jive dive bar, they are in for a rude awakening. This place used to have the perfect flow of great vibe and excellent cuisine. Some places go out with a bang. Fern Street is destined to go out with a management inflicted whimper.

Libni V.

Yelp
Such a sweet location. My husband and I were in need of some quality time and this place was the best vibe. Our server and food were great. And Cody was simply awesome. Couldn't have asked for a better Wednesday night dinner date

Yelp
Nestled away between Rosemary Square and the train tracks, Fern Street stands out as my absolute favorite dining destination in the region. This restaurant has truly mastered the art of farm-to-table cuisine, showcasing impeccable fare that satisfies both the palate and the soul. Really embracing the foodie culture that I am familiar with from the west coast. The moment you step inside, you know you're in good hands. The ambiance is beautiful and fitting. I have not yet visited for brunch but I believe they have outdoor music which I'm sure adds to the experience. The attentive staff at Fern Street exemplify the epitome of service, displaying a wealth of knowledge about each dish and its perfect pairing. From the moment you're seated, you'll feel a genuine connection to the culinary journey that awaits you. While the happy hour offerings have evolved, Fern Street continues to deliver a delightful experience with their farm board and several other options, allowing you to indulge in a medley of flavors that reflect their commitment to quality. Each dish is meticulously crafted (preparation and plating), revealing the culinary expertise of their esteemed head chef. Every bite tells a story of intention and passion. The menu boasts a captivating array of dishes, each vying for your attention. The mushroom pizza, a perfect harmony of earthy flavors, the shishito peppers with their tantalizing heat, and the crispy brussel sprouts that redefine this humble vegetable - are all favorite selections. With every meal I also select a few of the restaurant staples. The farm board (charcuterie board with a selection of top tier meats, cheeses, and accompaniments) and the wood fire vegetable platter (a selection of farm fresh veggies that perfectly complements the protein entree selections). The broccolini is very tasty and refreshing. Favorite meat dishes include the tender sous vide duck breast and the perfectly prepared ribeye steak, executed with unparalleled precision and sliced to share. The Spanish Octopus was also very well prepared. Fern Street gracefully distinguishes itself amidst the local culinary scene, offering an extraordinary dining experience that effortlessly balances artistry, quality, and value.

Yelp
I would have to agree with a few of the reviews that this place has great food and a unique atmosphere (I love the art on the walls), however the service left a little to be desired. It wasn't that our waitress was bad (she was actually lovely and knowledgeable about the food, as well as recommended wine pairings) however when the restaurant started busy we were left waiting a long time. It's a shame because the food really was exquisite and flavorful, however after we had our mains dropped off, we were there 45 minutes to an hour and only saw our waitress twice - once almost immediately after dropping off the food to check in on us, then one more time to ask if we wanted dessert. Like I stated earlier, the restaurant got busy towards the end of our reservation so we can understand, however we were definitely ready to leave by the time the (I believe) manager came by to handle our check. I would still recommend this place though! My wife loved the short rib and I could have had two of the steak frites. The star of the night for me however were the clams with the creme sauce. I could have drank that entire bowl, and my only regret is we ran out of bread to sop it up.

Yelp
Amazing food, artistic and satisfying small and large plates guaranteed to delight any palate. Chill vibe and outside seating. Happy hour every day with the most delicious and fresh oysters and the best meats and cheese for the charcuterie board. The service has s excellent. The team is friendly and you can tell they love and are proud to be a part of this restaurant. The energy is positive. Taylor, Candice, Thiersy are the best. They are knowledgeable, engaging and are the /a dynamic trio. Once you go Fern Street this will become your favorite spot in downtown West Palm Beach.

Melissa W.

Yelp
Food was okay $95 for a 16oz ribeye with a sprig of rosemary as the only addition item on the plate no sides no salad just a 16oz slab of meat and a piece of fresh rosemary. The seafood risotto had 3 shrimp, 4 small clams and 2 chunks of white fish for $34 and it was mediocre. The server forgot our appetizer so no comment on that. The cannolis were very good. My recommendation is to eat before you dine here. Beer and wine only in case you were not aware. They take full advantage of the current food inflation prices but they do not deliver on the food preparation or wait staff service.

Jonathan A.

Yelp
All I can say is WOW! We were blown away by the attentive and very thoughtful wait staff, giving us wine pairing recommendations and ensuring our meals were prepared to our liking. With it being our first visit, we found the menu to be smaller than anticipated. Our server then explained everything is not only prepared from scratch but sourced locally. We began with the Charcuterie Plate - absolutely delicious! For our main course, we had the Hanger Steak which was cooked and seasoned perfectly with savory chimichurri on the side. We left very satisfied and are eager to return!

Jennifer D.

Yelp
I can't believe we waited so long to try Fern Street! The food is beyond delicious and presentation is beautiful. Service is also fantastic with ambience to match. Highly recommend!

Jt T.

Yelp
We come here every-time we are in West Palm. This is a special place for us. Very few restaurants in the world the people who work there is as great as the food. Most restaurants when you put birthday for dinner occasion. They will ignore it. They surprised my husband with birthday cake and signed card by the whole crews. St. Canut Farms Smoked Collar is perfect. It is a must. Love the mock-tail. Not overly sugar. Just cold pressed juice. Health and pretty. Love dinning in the courtyard. Great vibe. So sad to hear they will be moving. The Mural will be tear down. I know they will do just as well no matter where they go. This is a exception place.

Dahokolomoki Z.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant in many respects - great ambiance and architecture style, with art prints on the walls. Extensive wine list. Innovative food and dishes. Great quality ingredients used. However, the pricing is the only letdown - even though the dishes were innovative and high quality, it feels like the pricing is maybe about 10-15% too high. Especially given the portion sizes. The assorted mushrooms appetiser was good, as was the picanha steak main. However, the grilled fish was undercooked the first time, and barely acceptable the second time; so I'd skip the fish dishes if I were you. The reasonable priced menu is the happy hour; all wines by the glass are half price, and they also have BOGO $4 oysters, which were super fresh and MA origin.

Yelp
Recently, my wife, stepdaughter, and some of our friends went to Fern Street Wine Bar for some tapas and... (wait for it) wine. The building that now houses Fern Street Wine Bar was the site for previous wine bar businesses. But this one has legs as they say with a great tapas menu. While the acoustics are still an issue if there are many people dining indoors, the use of the space by Fern Street Wine Bar is improved between the utilization of the separate bar and table-seating areas -- the latter is in a separate room with some wild artwork hung from the upper walls that elevate the ambiance. Food-wise, we enjoyed orders of the Grouper Cheeks Tempura, Brussels Sprouts, and Braised Pork Belly. The latter was delicious where I savored every bite so I could store it in my foodie memory bank for spiritual, culinary satisfaction. The only hiccup in the evening was when we discovered that the bill had a rather expensive item we didn't order. Fortunately, the server was able to remove that and reissue the bill without us being charged twice.

Adela M.

Yelp
This place was amazing. I came here for dinner during the week per a recommendation from a friend. He suggested I make reservations but I did not feel it was necessary, when we showed up there was 5 other groups seated, so I would say no reservations needed during the week in the off season. The restaurant is very unique and stimulating to the eye, this is not your typical burger place. There is artwork everywhere and if you enjoy meats, this is the place for you as there is a good assortment of meat dishes to pick from. The menu is not extensive but they do have something to offer everyone, although I would say that it can be limited if you're vegan. My favorite dish was the carrots, it was delicious. I, also, had the shrimp risotto and that was amazing. I realized they had a pretty big outdoor area once we left, I would definitely come back and take in some views. Loved my experience here.

Wendy N.

Yelp
Excellent! Our server Rosa was a delight. Super sweet and extremely accommodating. We started outside but it was a bit warm and they were more than happy to let us sit at the bar. If we had more people I would have definitely gotten the farm board but with just 2 of us we would have been too full to have the grilled octopus, cobe ceviche and the hanger steak (sorry no photo). Everything was perfect. Not very large portions, but perfect for 2 people to share. The food HH was still available, but I wasn't a fan of the choices. The wines are perfect and again Rosa but our drinks in quickly so we could maximize the HH. Their HH is 7 days a week from 5-7pm. I would love to come back to try the brunch.

Alex O.

Yelp
Great ambience. Lovely staff. I just wasn't impressed with the taste of the food. It was very creative and lots of different flavors but nothing left me wanting more unfortunately. I probably should have ordered some type of meat since they own a farm and get their meat from there. I guess my recommendation would be the Brie and board to start and pick a meat. Good luck!

Peter C.

Yelp
Excellent food, service and ambiance. Overall great place with superb food. Cody is a most accommodating host. The best of the best.

Russell W.

Yelp
Pleasant place, tables widely spaced, good service, tasty food, ok music at a reasonable level. Easy parking.

Chris D.

Yelp
Great menu, thoughtful wine list! Had dinner here with my wife. We sat outside, where it was airy and spacious. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable without being annoying. We shared the meatball and the tuna appetizer. Both were adequately sized and very flavorful. We had a nice Basque white with the apps. For a main we shared the Cobia, served over mashed purple sweet potato. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. We also had the Brussel sprouts for a side. They were perfectly cooked, and embellished with a light citrus sauce. We really enjoyed the experience. Nothing bad to say about it.

Adriana R.

Yelp
A very beautiful place in Downtown West Palm Beach: big indoor dining rooms, a nice outdoor patio, and a bar that is finally wide enough for you to eat on it! I love to cook, so I also like the fact that their kitchen is open: you always learn something new by watching them preparing and adorning the food! We were there on a Thursday after 9pm, and the kitchen was already closed, so we just ordered some wine. Our waiter was really good (sorry that I don't remember her name), and she loved to explained to us this restaurant's concept: "from farm to table", using only healthy ingredients, etc. (they also raise their own pasture!) It's a concept I personally love and support, and their dishes have interesting ingredients' combinations, but in my opinion none of this justifies their high prices. A pasta with just (undisclosed) "exotic" mushrooms was i.e. $28, and our wines (abut 4oz?) were $13. Sure, it's Palm Beach County and the place is located in Downtown WPB, where prices are usually expensive for the quality offered, but it's not worth for us to go back there again. Maybe, just maybe, we may check their HH...

Andrea R.

Yelp
Ok this was my first time here, I'm sorry but as soon as we walked in the music is so loud. The server was Tuesday, she was wonderful and informative. We ordered a variety of food to share, the flavors were unique, but very tasty. I not only review the food but the atmosphere. As I state that, the noise level was loud to the point we were yelling at each other at the table. The food was tasty, some flavors didn't work for me, but on the other hand the prices for me over the top to what they served. I think if we go back I would sit outside. They have a wonderful wine list but no sommelier on staff. I might give it a second chance.

David Z.

Yelp
Great spot with an awesome outdoor vibe. The dishes have their unique spin to them, and the service is on point. The tuna bites and steak are a go-to.

Theresa G.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner at Fern Street on a busy Friday night. The service was fantastic! Our server was ver friendly and did an excellent job guiding us through the menu and making recommendations. We started with oysters which were very fresh tasting. The mignonette was the perfect accompaniment. We were lucky enough to arrive during happy hour and took advantage of the two-for-one special on these. We also had the Akaushi Denver as a starter. The beef was tender, flavorful, and the maitake mushrooms and wine reduction sauce were delicious. My only criticism on this dish was it wasn't hot - the mashed potatoes were Luke warm. For our entrees my husband had the flat iron roulade which he enjoyed, but he thought a pinch of sea salt would have really made the fish come alive. I had the Oishii Shrimp Risotto - delicious! The shrimp were nicely done and seasoned well. The risotto was sweet, with the roasted tomatoes adding a nice acidity. Overall, the restaurant had a nice ambiance and fun/artsy decor.

Olivia B.

Yelp
Slow service even though there were many tables open, over priced, food was okay but not great and definitely not worth the price. I'd go somewhere else if you were debating between here and somewhere else.

jodi s.

Yelp
This is a hidden Gem . Service was fantastic . Waiter was very attentive and engaging . He made sure everything came out as requested ! I am a vegetarian and had plenty of options . My partner thoroughly enjoyed their meat dish and sides ! We both loved the chocolate ganache for desert ! We will be back The only drawback was thay parking was tough and it is not season yet !

Tony U.

Yelp
Why I'll go back: Truly farm to table cuisine that is wonderfully flavorful and doesn't leave you feeling uncomfortably stuffed after a full meal. You HAVE to try: The Fern Street salad is an excellent light starter. Tony's Tip: They now have a food truck on the patio serving lunch daily. The tacos are the play here. I had been itching to go here on our previous trip to Palm Beach in February, but the timing didn't work. We finally got a chance to stop in for dinner on the patio in mid-May after one of the Clematis by Night concerts. The entire staff could not have been more welcoming, and it was evident during our entire meal how passionate everyone there is about what they are doing at Fern Street. The vibe on the patio strikes a unique balance of trendy/artsy/chill. There was no live music the night we ate, but I can only imagine that would add a nice musical backdrop. With ingredients curated and sourced to be as healthy as possible, we enjoyed every dish, perhaps with the exception of the potato cake (not sure if it's still on the menu), which we expected would be crispy, but had a softer consistency to it. We would definitely come back for a charcuterie plate, and although we didn't order a cooked meat dish (I had the steak tartare and liked it a lot), a couple tables ordered the Denver Chop, which smelled heavenly as it passed by our table. The wine selection is of course outstanding. Despite how much we ate (three apps, the steak tartare on my own, key lime pie for dessert), I didn't feel stuffed in the least. I probably need to start eating like this more often! I headed back with my kids a few days later for lunch. We grabbed a few different tacos and a chicken bun. Loved every taco (2 would be plenty for lunch), but there was too much going on with the chicken sando. If I were them, I'd simplify that offering and just lightly dress up a more standard chicken sandwich, which will stand out given the quality of meat. Bottom line: can't wait to go back, enjoy some live music, and work our way through the rest of the menu.

Lesslie L.

Yelp
First let me start by saying Cody is such a wonderful manager! He is extremely kind and over the go caring. Everyone I done I see him helping others checking on the kitchen serving and walking around Greeting. He is the perfect example For this wondwefyl staff! Shayanne Miso are so wonderful! Miso is extremely acknowledgeable of not only the menu but the preparation process for all the meats as well! She also is so good at recommending any wine you may like! We love it here and will continue to come and support!

Nalio E.

Yelp
Went for brunch recently and it was empty. The service was terrible especially for it being empty. I ordered the skirt steak medium and they brought it out well done it had no flavor or salt they smoke it and that's all you could taste it was over powering. Definitely would not recommend.

Emmy C.

Yelp
I came here for a late dinner and had a very pleasant time. We love a small plates place so we can share a bunch of food so we got the Denver, baked brie, and halloumi salad. The waitress also brought us out a gift from the chef (pictured below) and it was insane! It's parsnips with roasted grapes, spiced goat cheese, balsamic, and a hazelnut crumble. What an inspired creation. All the beef comes from their own ranch and we swear that was the best cut of beef we've ever had. My boyfriend had a strawberry beer which was tasty and smelled awesome and I had a baby amarone which was nice too.

Yelp
Valentine dinner ... This restaurant look amazing . Inside out ! That romantic vibe , clean , nice seating outside but its turns all to a different level on plate . Looking amazing dish with all that how this and this is done and cook. For that kind of money we cant just pay for good looking plate. Veggie over cooked or under cooked. Hard raw and cold . Duck ? That is little bit out of control . That duck must turn in grave if he know how is meat is done. Its little panda express style. Chewy , cold again , super little and just no flavor .. steak ? Should came as medium rare and it came medium well . If u have dentures u better glue that jaw pretty well because its well hard done. Sooooo close to 100$ for 3 plates and we know we wont come back. Just dont worth it . Play on some high classy presentation .. Should be some more love when its done.

Yelp
Until my experience Friday night 3/22 I previously would have told anybody that I have had nothing but great experiences at Fern Street. Unsure what the issue was Friday but that has since changed. My friend & I walked in around 7/7:15ish & asked if that had anything for 3 people. Yes it is the boat show weekend & we knew places might be a little crazy but we figured we would hopefully be able to put in our name have a drink at the bar while we waited & eventually be sat for dinner. Well that was until we encountered two very rude & unaccommodating employees Cody & a blonde hostess (idk her name but she's rude). The hostess looked at me as if I asking to be sat for a table of 15 immediately & stated she didn't know if they would have anything for me & she couldn't seat me at the moment. There were plenty of open tables but having worked in the industry for many years I understand how reservations work & realize this doesn't mean they are available to be sat at that moment. I politely asked if they would be able to take my name & just give a rough estimate of how long it might be for again a table of only 3. This is when another employee Cody decided to chime in and say they couldn't give me any estimate or take my name because it was the boat show weekend & it was going to be too busy. I asked if we could just go grab a drink at the bar while we waited (for idk what because they wouldn't take my name for a table) & Cody rudely stated there was no room at the bar & we couldn't stand for a drink?? Ok Cody. In the meantime my friend had run to the bathroom while I was dealing with Cody & his rude blonde sidekick. My friend was able to make us a reservation for 8:15 PM online while she was in the bathroom. When she came back we told the blonde hostess we had a reservation at 8:15 PM & she again stated she didn't know if she could seat us then?? Made so much sense because that's usually how reservations work. While standing there in disbelief as to what the issue was, two seats opened up at the bar and we decided to take those while we waited for our 3rd to join. At this point the only reason we even stayed was due to the wonderful bartender Sergio who so kindly and politely took care of us the rest of the evening. When our 3rd friend joined I wasn't sure if he would be able to stand there or if Cody was going to come try and chase him away but Sergio assured us you could stand at his bar. I don't know what Cody and the blonde girl's issue with us was but someone may need to teach them a lesson or 2 about hospitality in the service industry. 1000/10 stars for sergio, -1000/10 stars for Cody & his sidekick. Learn some manners.

Yelp
Did someone say wild boar with whiskey caramelized apple? We'll take that! Or anything on Fern Street's menu. Fern Street is an eclectic and urban spot serving farm-to-table tapas-style dishes using fresh ingredients. Every detail that the owners put into this place shows just how much love they have for it. Leading to the restaurant is a courtyard surrounded by murals and covered with dangling outdoor lights. The empty area at the back of the courtyard and the small food truck hint that the establishment plans for an expansion. Once inside, you will notice the wood fire oven, where most dishes are prepared. Some cool things about this place: - The menu changes every day so patrons can experience the freshest ingredients. - The setting is casual. The food is off the hook. - Get the fern salad. You will never taste fresher arugula (unless you grow it yourself). Fern Street gets it from a local farm. - Get the Hanger steak. It's prepared under 100% wood fire and antibiotic-free and hormone-free. - Get the ceviche. This is by far the best one I've had. - Check out the mural in the back room. It's an artist's depiction of the transition from old farming and new farming. - Close the night with the smores and a glass of port wine. We can't wait to come back at the end of the month to experience their first brunch.

Yelp
The place is much bigger than I expected. There's a lovely outdoor area with heaters and twinkle lights. If you can secure a table there I'd suggest doing so. Inside was a bit noisy. The food and wine menus looked great. When I asked our server a simple question about a wine he said he didn't know and would find out from someone else. When you sell yourself as a wine bar I would think the servers would all be well versed in the wines offerings. Our order consisted of 2 cold salads, 2 starers and 2 entrees for 4 people. It was a solid hour before we got our salads. And another 45 after that to get the rest of our food. Not sure why because the restaurant was at best half full. We only got updates about when our food would arrive if we asked. Neither our server nor the person I suspect was the manager was proactive in telling us about the delay or apologizing. Overall the food was good but not good enough. A 2-course dinner for 4 people should not take 2.5 hours.

Yelp
Fern Street is always amazing, we got the steak tartare and Tuna, along with one of the best burgers we've ever had (not pictured). Have never had a disappointing dish here.

Yelp
Great food and friendly service. I had the curry cobia and they knocked it out of the park. I will defiantly be going back.
