From start to finish, my experience was horrible. I came in and was seated at a high table when I asked for a booth. There were 3-4 available booths and 3 couples sitting at 4-seat tables, but somehow it was not possible to sit at any of these tables. When asked, the young server had an attitude and told us that the only availability they have is high-top tables, no biggie.
We sat down and waited about 10 minutes for a server to come to us. She took our drink and food order - still had an attitude, btw. We ordered Spring rolls, Roast Duck Curry, and Chicken Thai Fried Rice.
The food came out within 15 minutes. Our drinks still have not arrived. The Thai fried rice was OVERLY spicy - I am a west indian man from NY who grew up eating everything with pepper sauce, and even this was hotter than it should be. I specifically told the server NO SPICE. When I asked him what level he used, he said 0, clearly not true, so we sent it back. He said that he couldn't make it less spicy, which to me doesn't make sense, but okay.
The spring rolls were mehhh. The roast duck curry came out, and it was semi-cold, not warm but cold. I didn't even bother asking to warm it up, with the fear that something unsanitary would be done to the food. This entire time, our drinks still did not come, so we asked about them. Another server mentioned that no drinks were put in for our table - 40 minutes now. We cancelled and just asked for the bill. Nothing was offered, not even our drinks to help with the bad experience.
On our way out, the gentleman at the front was so "busy" shuffling papers on the table, pretending to be busy so he didn't have to look at us and say have a good night because he was probably embarrassed. The restaurant was also empty.
It could've been a bad night for the team; however, nothing was done to flip things around after showing frustration. I wouldn't recommend any place to eat, drink, or shop where the staff isn't trained in basic customer service.
