New York Restaurant David Burke Tavern Adds Glass Truck Dining Experience | Eater NY

"At Tao Group's Feroce, I favor the “irresistible” casarecce alla Luciana, a pasta made with octopus, tomatoes, olives, and capers." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

Surprisingly limited choice of pasta for an Italian restaurant and the pasta dishes were just okay, even though the prices were high. The carbonara tasted odd. The exception was the tiramisu, which was prepared from scratch and served with frozen rose petals. That was delicious . We were seated by the open kitchen, but this meant it was hot at lunchtime. The service was very good, but that didn't really make up for it. Disappointing, given how spectacular the experience looks on Instagram. We won't be back. There are much better places for Italian in the city.

Amazing open kitchen concept. Food is prepared in front of you (if you're seated at the bar, ask for a seat there!) and the cooks will often give you your plate and explain what you're eating in great detail. The only bad thing I could say about this place is that the service can get a little bit delayed on food and drinks and my pizza could have had the cheese more thoroughly melted. The service in general is amazing, the plates are usually synchronized so everybody starts eating at the same time. While some plates could have a little bit of improvement, others are absolutely stunning, for starters, the burrata and the fries are unbelievable. The presentation of dishes is amazing, it can even involve smokers or liquid nitrogen and edible roses. Definitely a must try for a completely different take on food and a whole experience for the price of a meal.

Very average. Food is not Italian and not tasty. (We ordered a pizza, a burrata and pasta). The waiters based their behavior on our order… Rolling their eyes when we ordered a couple of glasses of water, then having a nicer attitude when they saw we will actually order a few dishes and drinks. Quite rude. The only good thing was the fresh pasta. But the sauce was not good.

This is a nice place within a lovely classic house. The entrees were tasty, but the feroce pizza was a disaster, the dough was all soaked in this yougurt-like toping, the taste was simply unbearable, too salty. The carbonara pasta was barely okay Honestly everything is overpriced compared with the taste

We were put at the bar without being even offered a different arrangement. We didn't like that. We had.3 dishes. One was very good, the other 2 were salty. The 'zetas' (mushrooms) was one of their recommendastions. - it was the saltiest dish ive had in my life - the steak was ok but also quite salty. The place is very nice but nothing really made me want to go back to it.

Pizza margherita was good BUT the pasta was horrible. Please stop serving things you don't know how to cook ( carbonara should NOT have cream in it)

Beyond my expectations. Pasta was tasteless and floating in oil (black pepper spaghetti). Arabiata was overcooked and soggy
